ACCESS Happy Weekend

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I've got some more ACCESS group gifts from their Happy Weekend Anniversary event, all claimed by clicking the cutest kittens sitting atop cupcakes at most of the displays :) Who can resist the serotonin from the kitties and the virtual sugar rush from cupcakes? However the best part is the amazing gifts, which are here to celebrate the 7th anniversary of Happy Weekend. The ACCESS group whose tag we need is free to join, and the event is open until the 30th so there is plenty of time to grab demos and do some shopping too.

I'm starting with the striking {eternal dream} sordidus set {white} gift, which is one of my favorite casual outfits I've picked up recently :) The top and bloomers are both snowy white and trimmed with ruffles and bows, loose but gathered to create a very flattering outline. There are sizes for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, and they are separate pieces. That is especially noteworthy for the next two photos as well ;)

The bloomers helped me share our //Rowers// Top Amaya Fatpack gift, which will pair wonderfully with your favorite pants or skirt too if you prefer. I do love a well crafted tank top, and this one has a side slit to make it stand out :) We receive Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes, along with a HUD that offers 6 different textures. Carol's is offering this gorgeous Lindsay Top Light Blue as their gift for the event, and I'm such a fan of theirs that I couldn't wait to unpack it! This lovely strapless minidress is our Via Fulo Clara DRESS Rose Gift. It has fur trim at the hem that can be your choice of 16 colors via HUD. One more look of the night, we have a classic LBD (little black dress) from HORL called Yoi Dress. Its halter neck shows off just the right touch of cleavage, while the fluttery skirt is short enough to make our legs look long and lovely. My stomach is still fairly unhappy, and no I did not eat any raw veggies recently so it's not that scary bacteria thing that's going around. As much as I enjoy salads, I've been focused on cooked veg lately to protect myself, and soup is a fantastic way to enjoy them. That worked out nicely for a mild meal tonight actually, chicken and pasta (acini de pepe like you'd find in Italian wedding soup) with carrots and celery so it was a simple and nourishing meal. I'm planning on going to pick up my glasses before dinner at my parents' tomorrow, as long as my guts allow me to be in a car that long ;) Otherwise I had a good evening gaming and chatting with friends, a typical Thursday with giggles and sharing cozy games. TSS Hauntiversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time for the TSS Hauntiversary Event, which is at the headquarters of The Saturday Sale. If you join their free group, you can claim tons of generous gifts from the jack o'lantern candy bowls at each display. I do have a confession to make...I got a bit lost at this event, several times, so I'm going to suggest you do what I didn't and derender each bowl after you click it :) There are lots of paths and levels with booths, so have fun exploring and checking out all the sales and gifts like I did!

My first look of the evening is our -PULSE- Mara Dress - Red group gift. There are two versions included, each in Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. We also receive a HUD with 4 metals, and 2 BOM pairs of panties - one black, one white that is tintable. I giggled a little when I realized that the second version (right above) is the same bold red color, just shorter ;)

Two gifts are paired here for one sizzling look. The [Celesticat] Bootiful Bandeau GIFT fits Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, and there are 2 HUDS (PBR and non-PBR) with the same 4 terrific textures to choose from. It works really well with the //Rowers// Emmy Skirt Fatpack gift to create a flirty outfit :) This treat includes sizing for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a HUD that lets us choose from 8 textures which are mostly solids but one is a cute print. The rear view is a cheeky one, so I'm suggesting you add your favorite pair of panties for modesty. 

This sweetly feminine dress is decorated just right for this time of year :) Our Bemused ~ SugarSpun Dress GIFT has soft ruffled layers trimmed in black lace, and a very flattering neckline that can easily frame any Halloween themed necklace you may own. Limited Apparel wins the prize for best reason to get a Britney Spears song stuck in my head with their Toxic Dress gift ;) That's not a complaint, as I love both the song (catchy and sensual) and the dress (also sensual, year round fun). It looks like it's been dipped in something suspicious, lol, like a tie dye with a greenish hue on the lower part of our short skirt. The gift includes Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn sizes. 

My final look of the night combines two gifts since the cut of our dress is just right to reveal a new tattoo. The Yuni - Dina Dress wraps us in a formfitting strapless style with a front zipper, drawing attention to the seams and the low scooped neckline. It fits Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, Juicy Boobs, and Waifu mesh bodies. The beautiful body art is the [Onyx] Moon Lotus Tattoo gift, which come as BOM layers in faded or fresh versions. I'm actually wearing the faded this time, although I usually wear the darkest one provided to make sure they photograph clearly. I guess the delicate linework inspired me to want to show its softer side :) The same image on the front and back is a lovely touch, so it can be noticed when we're coming or going. 

This weekend seemed to fly by, but that could just be from keeping busy for most of it. The farmers market was great fun despite the drizzly rain off and on, and one of the vendors who had somewhat moved on (business is booming for her, including sales at a pro soccer team's home games) was the featured hot lunch available. I hadn't seen her in ages, and got a very enthusiastic hug from her that made my day :) I'm eager for my haircut on Wednesday, to get these unruly curls to be less frizzy and more shapely. Bleeding Solstice Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the Bleeding Solstice event from Difony Events, which is described as an elegantly haunting Gothic shopping event. There are over 100 designers taking part, nearly all of whom are offering free gifts with no group tag required to claim them. On the ground level they are in hanging lanterns, then on the two upper tiers you'll want to look for large round globes that provide glowing light and free treats :) Sometimes we all need to get in touch with our darker side, and this is the ideal place to do so in my opinion. We have until the 8th of July to complete our shopping and gift-claiming.

For my first look of the evening, I carefully slipped into the Bemused ~ Solstice Gift Corset Dress. I'm sure you can see why 'carefully', with that cinched wasp waist that requires the use of the enclosed alpha layer (or your body's HUD) to accomplish that stunning shape. The dress is provided in sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies. I cannot quite make out the image embossed on the front, but it is beautifully intricate :)

Speaking of intricate, the [Witch In A Box] Elysium Dress gift has several unique cutouts and straps that give it a playful, flirty style that is sure to turn heads. It is provided in Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes, along with a HUD to tint it with a grid of colors to click or you can input an RGB code. This means the possibilities are endless :) Did you notice the shimmery stars that are picking up the light sources in my home? By the way, if I look slightly slimmer in this photo, I did adjust my shape temporarily as one hip was trying to peek through the dress. So I slid the saddlebags slider down until it was no longer visible, quick and easy solution. I did return to my typical shape right after :)

This seductive look starts with the zOOm - OniX Outfit GIFT, one piece with the appearance of two that is easy to wear and to admire. There are sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. Sometimes I accessorize with jewelry, but this time I selected one of several wonderful tattoo gifts :) The Juna: Celine Tattoo Woman was my go-to, lovely artwork for the neck, upper chest, partial sleeves, and a little on the upper back/neck area that is mostly hiding beneath my hair. Our gift consists of dark, medium (shown), and light versions as BOM layers and appliers for Slink, TMP, Vista, Maitreya, Belleza, Eve, Signature, Altamura, and Omega. That's an impressive amount of compatibility! 

We are fortunate enough to have several great tops as gifts here too, like this stunning //Rowers// Frida Top Fatpack. It combines a knit tank top with leather straps and long sleeves, all worn in one easy piece in sizing for Gen X, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh bodies. We also receive a HUD that offers 6 colors each for the leather and shirt, so mixing and matching is definitely on the menu :) There is certainly something about long sleeved crop tops that always captures my attention, like we're too cool to care if our belly is bared but we're keeping our arms toasty. I paired it with my favorite marketplace gift from Delizio, well the black pair from their fatpack of jeans in lots of great hues. This color gives a slightly Goth feeling, but white or blue would have been terrific neutrals as well.

My final look of the night is the gorgeous gift from [Ari-Pari] which is their Dark Flora Dress. Isn't she dreamy? This sweet sleeveless sundress comes in Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizing, with a HUD that offers 5 deep colors for the background. The pattern has some paisley among the blossoms, bringing a little retro feeling to add to the charm. I feel like the fluttery skirt is a fun choice for hot weather, since that is not the time you want something clinging to your skin.

Ugh, what a day! How to summarize this...bad storms whipped through the area, and I was asleep when the housemate woke me to say that we needed to evacuate immediately because of tornadoes. So I scrambled to get dressed and grab my phone, not even thinking about meds or anything else I'd need, and you could hear trees cracking and splintering as they were whipped around by the high winds. He was driving like something from a horror movie or video game, lol, dodging falling branches (not like a twig but big enough to damage vehicles) in my parents' minivan, to get us to a local grocery store's parking lot where there were no trees to hit us. Naturally the power company texted us while we were there (half hour or so) that they detected a power outage, like yeah there's no way our grid was gonna hold when it seems to be held together by rubber bands and bubblegum. As of right now, the power is still out and the generator is on but seems to be faltering, as the lights have flickered many times and the generator sounds funny. I'd usually describe it as a loud lawnmower, but now it sounds like a racecar with someone revving the engine. Fun, eh? I am safe, but that was the most terrifying car ride and worse for someone whose biggest fear is being in a car at all. We passed one traffic light that was out, but the closest one to home was working which seemed odd. The house isn't damaged but this time the shed out back took a little damage to the roof, so that's just something else around here that needs fixing. We've got 3 trees down in the backyard, and one on the side of the house. I'm partially in the dark to keep the strain on the generator minimized, and my (battery-operated) thermometer says it's 78.1 in this room so I am feeling rather toasty. I don't want to live in interesting times anymore, LOL, let my life be boring for a while please! Well I do hope you're all safe and having a nice day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Cupids Curse Event

 Hiya everyone! Tonight is a perfect time to recognize those of you who are not fans of Valentine's Day, and would like some free gifts to reflect that :) I visited the Cupids Curse event and was blown away by the number of designers taking part, and the region is decorated in Goth, anti-Valentine type style which will make many darkened hearts go pitter-patter. A really fun touch is that the columns next to the displays with a hanging anatomically correct heart are there to distribute gifts to all, just give each heart a click. Some are set for sale for $0L, others deliver the gift on touch, and a few were not set up quite yet; but the event is open until the 8th of March so there is plenty of time for those to be remedied. Please be sure to follow all the paths and stairs, as there are three levels of this event to enjoy. I have had times in my life when I adored Valentine's Day but plenty of years when I was more of a skeptic, just done with all the mushy stuff, so I can see both points of view and respect it all. That does mean you'll see more pink and red and hearts here too, just not exclusively. Please note that these gifts lean towards the adult side of things, so these images leave less to the imagination than typical for me.

My first look of the evening is two gifts paired playfully together. The top is our //Rowers// Frida Hoddie Fatpack, a cropped sweatshirt in sizes for Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh bodies. There is also a HUD included that offers 6 colors each for the shirt and the details. I couldn't resist wearing it with the [APPETITE] Valentine-Seni Gift Shorts, high waisted with more fun stripes :) These cuties come in eBody Reborn and Legacy sizes, with a +bulge version for each. I got such a kick out of the hearts on the rear, pierced with an arrow, so you can see that Cupid got here and cursed our booty ;)

Our gift from Uni-qu3: is their :*Aknaa dress*:Red: which is a sheer delight, quite literally! The sparkly see-through dress and solid fingerless gloves are each provided in Lara X, Legacy, Bombshell, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. It is so handy to be able to choose with or without sleeves, or even peel off those sleeves seductively.

The Uni-qu3 dress has a cutout that made me realize it was just right to share another gift, our Orphic + Heart Tattoo v1. It looks to be symbolic of the three of swords tarot card, which indicates heartbreak or emotional pain, so that is spot on for the Cupids Curse event. We receive BOM layers in 50, 80, and 100% opacities, so we can choose how fresh or faded we wish our ink to appear.

Next I might have gotten a little carried away by combining three gifts in one look ;) The pasties are the SYNAPSE STORE - Noire Pasties Gift which are designed to fit Legacy and Reborn bodies, with a HUD to select from 4 colors. The heart shape is a fun nod to the season, don't you think? They cover up just enough to still show off our (GH) Cupid GIFT tattoo from Ghux, which is a simple BOM layer with several small images on our chest and abdomen. Working our way down, the remaining treat I'm eager to tell you about is our nope. nara solids - cupid set shorts. These low rise shorts have a solid colored trim and heart pattern on the main fabric, all in your choice of 5 color combos via the enclosed HUD. The shorts will fit Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies.

My final look this evening is a flirty romper called [.KK.] Michele Romper - Flower Lace. This treat would make great lingerie, thanks to the diaphanous lace and the deep V neckline that leads to a heart shaped clasp :) It is designed for Lara X, Legacy, Bombshell, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, and comes with a HUD that offers 24 colors each for the body and trim. I purposely avoided red this time, but hot pink trim is making an appearance for a spicy nod to the holiday I suppose. 

Whew, the winter storm whizzed through without too much damage, as we got about 4" here and the rain all day tomorrow should wash things away. The temperature being above freezing (just by a few degrees) should help with that too. I tried the SL mobile app on an android tablet that is not exactly the newest or most powerful by any means, and it was so bad it was comical. I have a newer iPad that I'll try later, just to see if that helps any. I tried both my main and alt accounts, and the main (premium) did slightly better...she even rezzed as an actual avi and not just an outline of a human! I was running all around the house because I apparently don't know how to walk, just run...I have 2 cats and 2 dogs at the house which rezzed for my main account eventually but not for the alt. It took about 10 minutes for the majority of textures to appear. There must be an instructional video I can watch to see what I did wrong because I am really clueless with it, yet managed to amuse myself :) So I hope you're all having a beautiful day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
