Hiya everyone! Tonight we embark on a Twisted Hunt journey, but instead of the large spring and autumn gridwide versions this one takes place in a single location. If you've always wanted to visit New Orleans, you can do so virtually for a good cause since the Twisted sale to raise funds for RFL is in an homage to Jackson Square. There you can search for twisted cubes in a Mardi Gras pattern of green, purple, and gold with a fleur de lis design. The event runs throughout the entire month, so you have time to find the cubes and do some shopping with proceeds going to Relay For Life to fight cancer. This is one of those causes that hits home for most of us, since cancer is such an insidious disease that affects so many families including my own. I enjoyed my visit to Jackson Square very much, love those bold colors and the festive atmosphere.
My first look is a breezy dress from Kalani's Designs called KDS Helgie FitMesh Dress Yellow. It reminds me of sunshine and lemonade! This prize includes plenty of mesh sizes for all: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine.
The prizes from Applique` Chic have the same texture as the spinning cubes we are looking for this summer, and I found 4 different gifts from them. Two can be seen here, for example the AC: Twisted Swimsuit Jackson Sq. It comes in sizes for standard, eBody, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. The matching wings are the AC: Twisted Wings Jackson Sq., whose feathers made me think of blades which would be a very clever way to carry protection. The other gifts are a corset for the ladies and a pair of shorts for the men, and all of these items have other versions in gachas at the Applique` Chic display at the event. They have the textures of all the prior Twisted hunt cubes, a fun stroll down memory lane in a wide range of colors.
I love how I captured a look on my avi's face like she's painfully ready for a nice fresh coffee, which suits this prize very well! This top is the {zfg} wd-40, and that does read "Coffee: the WD-40 of Adulthood" across the front. It is included in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. I am wearing it with my favorite Delizio jeans from the marketplace, a freebie that consists of several colors in system layers along with Omega and Maitreya appliers.
I was able to find 3 different cubes by House in the Sun, each holding a version of their Schoolgirl Dress, two of which I am sporting above. The left is called Babygirl, and the right is Naughty, each with their name across the rear and with cross cutouts both front and back. The third not shown is called Dirty and is a different color, same great style though. If you look closely, you might notice the tiny trim of black lace at hem and neckline, although the first thing I noticed was the daringly low sides ;)
My final look of the evening is a lasting souvenir from your trip to Jackson Square, the MLCC Fluer Unisex Tattoo from MoonliteCat Creations. It is included in a system layer and an Omega applier, with a fleur de lis above the city name and a music staff flowing across. I am not musically literate enough to recognize any details, but it is a lovely touch to honor the birthplace of jazz.

The prizes range from casual to formal, items like dresses and tops and jewelry, so interesting variety.

House in the Sun has two free prizes hidden for all of us, in two separate t-shirts, so I am delighted to show off both of them above. The pretty dress on the left is the Bandeau Dress, on the right is the charming E'Toi Dress Red, each in a single mesh size that fit my Maitreya body perfectly. They are quite different, yet both totally worth the effort of finding two shirts :)
My final look of the evening made me giggle, which in itself is worth far more than the mere $1L this prize costs. It is from {zfg} (which stands for Zero F*cks Given) and called Chrissy, a playfully casual cropped hoodie and low riding capri sweats. The top reads "Relationship Status: Single, Taken, IDK cursed or something" and it is that last one that is checked off. I may not feel that way these days but OMG have I been there in the past!! So just throw on your favorite sneakers, sandals, or run around barefoot like I do (RL and SL) to wear this outfit with a smile.
My day got off to a slightly rocky start, and tomorrow's thunderstorms might make for a similarly stressful one, but my goal is as always to make the best of it. I might decide to take the evening off from blogging, or the weather could take away power/internet and not give me a choice, but if I don't post tomorrow I will be back soon with more treats.
