Hiya everyone! Tonight I decided to explore the current group gifts for the FabFree group, short for Fabulously Free in SL. They are the free to join inworld group for a wonderful blog that has been helping residents to find freebies and bargains for over a decade. One of the benefits of group membership is access to an impressive number of gifts from designers all across the grid. All you need is your group tag active to claim these generous presents, and a few of the designers have vendors that will require you to pay $1L but you will be reimbursed immediately. The FabFree gifts are usually near the store's own group gifts, so not too tricky to locate. Are you ready to see the treats I have to share tonight?
My first stop was Ecce Bellus, where there are actually two gifts in one waiting for us. On the left is the Addison Love Letter RED Top dress, while on the right you can see the same in WHITE top. They are each provided in a wide array of mesh sizes: standard, eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. I suspect this gift was set out for Valentine's Day, so I wouldn't wait too long to pick it up if you are interested because it could be changed at any time :)
Kamiri has a sexy skirt set as their current FabFree group gift, her name is Chiara Outfit Grey and her top and skirt are each provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP. To find this and gifts for many other groups, head upstairs and then turn around and walk to the back wall. You can keep the look monochrome by wearing silver or black jewelry and shoes, or break out your brightest accessories for pops of color.
Our next gift comes from BlackRose and is called Lena Dress. It includes standard sizes plus eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. To find this one, just have a look at the desk and you will see it next to the store's group gift, just check hovertext for the one with FabFree in the name.
The gift from Tiar is intriguing because it looks warm and cozy from the front, yet really playful from behind. It is called Sexysummer Sweater and it sure does live up to that name, in sizes for Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP. There is also a HUD included that lets you choose from 6 textures, all of which are solid colors except the one I'm showing on the left above. The back has pretty ties that flutter down into the deep opening, a really fun touch.

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am having fun showing off some gifts for the FabFree group, which is short for Fabulously Free in SL. The group is the inworld representation of their amazing blog which I have been following for as long as I can recall, a terrific resource for new and more seasoned residents alike to find gifts, sales, new stores, events, and more. With your group tag (free to join, of course) you can visit many designers to pick up special group gifts such as the ones I am sharing tonight. You can probably tell that it makes me happy to endorse the blog that helped inspire me to start Midnight Magpie, as they were the first that I read on a regular basis. Each store featured tonight has a sign that you can click and then join the group from local chat, just look for the vivid rainbow stripes :) Then when you find the sign, the gift is usually very close if not actually touching the group sign. Easy peasy, and these stores are delightful to visit.
This first outfit can be found at AsHmOoT and is called Large Sweater + Skirt Au.v. which is probably short for autumn version, guessing based on the leaves of the skirt. There is an extra layer to the sweater that is sheer, giving it a slightly fuzzy appearance, so my image may look slightly blurry because of that but it gives a cozy look in person :) The gift includes sizes for Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Classic bodies. Random thought, this would look great with the gold/chocolate diamond jewelry I blogged yesterday from the marketplace.
Glitter has their lovely Claire Dress as a FabFree gift for us, in system layers as well as appliers for Maitreya, Belleza, Slink, Omega, and eBody. The skirt panels are provided in standard mesh sizes, so much better than the old prim style that couldn't move when we do. I love the hints of purple trim on the bodice, a fun contrast to the bright red.
On the left above, I am wearing our gift from Ecce Bellus which is called Meow Knit Top and comes in standard mesh sizes plus Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, eBody, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique. I was drawn to its elegance, sometimes animal faces etched onto a shirt will look more cartoonish (which is great too!) but this one has a different feel. Another wonderful gift on the right, this time from Eclectic Stars, which is called Sweetie - I Rebel and includes standard fitmesh sizes along with Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. The vintage look captures the nostalgia associated with the original Star Wars movies, yet is timely with the newest installment due in about 2 weeks. Go ahead and geek out, I sure did!!
I am feeling pretty in purple with our FabFree gift from Virtue, called Melody Top {Pink Dots}. This store focuses on modest styles, which can be hard to find in SL, and this high necked top comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. That belt and sweet bow caught my eye, and the color looks like a rich plum to me. You can pair this with your favorite pants, skirt, or leggings, while I am wearing it here with a gift from the marketplace that I turn to quite often while blogging. They are the gift from Delizio, jeans in several colors for system, Omega, and Maitreya, and I am wearing the black color here and in the prior photo.
Are we ready for the holiday season? Hello Dave can help your nails get ready too, with their FabFree gift called Early Wrapping. They are compatible with Slink, Omega, and Maitreya hands, with 5 subtly different designs to mix and match or choose your favorite. I know that Hello Dave has exciting things planned for this upcoming month, an Advent calendar for group members and a hunt (much like the Halloween one I posted early in October) for everyone. I will have more details for everyone once they start, as well as some sneak peeks because I love sharing their nails.
I had a much needed acupuncture session earlier, and now am awaiting my houseguest to arrive any minute for a long weekend of fun and tasty food. Then Saturday morning I have an additional visitor for the day, suddenly I feel like a social butterfly :) I am still not sure what my blog schedule will be like this weekend, but I will be switching to morning blog posts for much of December to be able to show you Advent calendar items with enough time for you to go claim them. If you have been reading my blog recently, it probably won't surprise you to see that I have a few more bargains from The Wash Cart Sale to show you :) The event lasts until the 5th of July, so you have a few days left to visit and take advantage of these incredible offers. Something else I like to do every few weeks or so is share some FabFree group gifts, that is the Fabulously Free in SL group whose blog has been a longtime guide and inspiration for many residents. Many designers offer free gifts for FabFree group members, which is free to join and absolutely worth the group slot.
This lovely gown can be found among several other discounted items (all just $10L each) at the Savoha Creations cart, it is named Oyster Long Dress and includes standard mesh sizes. The dramatic hem and burst of color in the bodice really caught my eye. Their mainstore is right here on the Wash sim, right near their cart, so you can visit that as well. I felt this dress deserved something just as beautiful to wear with it, so I selected this Endelza Laria Set from LUMINESSE among the many offers on their Wash cart. For only $10L, you can pick up this necklace with matching earrings, and the necklace even has a resize script built in for a perfect fit. There are other selections too, both for men and women, from chokers to rings to belly jewels. Their mainstore is also located right here on the Wash in the vicinity of their cart, so this photo definitely represents their local merchants.
I had a little fun with wall lean mirrored poses (from Verocity, as all my poses are these days) to show you these summery offers from Vicarious Youth on their cart. Their Tent Dress can be see in Lemon on the left, and Teal Batik on the right, there are two other designs plus some beachwear for both kids and adults on their cart, all just $10L each. This tent dress includes 5 standard fitmesh sizes plus Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions. After you visit the Wash, pop on your FabFree group tag and head over to Glitter where you will find two terrific gifts waiting. From the landing area, the main Glitter store is at the other end of the long courtyard (you'll pass other stores and some lucky chairs in the middle) then turn right when you enter the store to find all their gifts for various groups. This is their GLITTER - KITTEN body suit with Appliers Pink, and there are system layers along with a HUD for Slink, Maitreya, Belleza, Omega, and eBody. That little face is so sweet, and the ears are a delightful touch. As you can see from the side view, the coverage in the rear is fairly modest and I am thinking this could work as a swimsuit as well.
Glitter also has a smart dress for FabFree group members, their CUPID Dress w/Appliers & Mesh panel Skirt Navy. As you can tell from the name, there are system layers plus appliers for Slink, Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and eBody, and the skirt inset comes in standard mesh sizes. My first thought when I saw this was that it looks professional, then my next thought was that accessorizing it can make it look more casual or dressy. Maybe you can pick up some nice jewelry from the cart sale to wear with it :) *points up to the Luminesse info from first image* Half the fun of getting dressed in SL is deciding what type of look you are striving for, to create an outfit that tells us a little about your taste and mood.
One last look of the evening, this is actually two different FabFree group gifts. The top and hat are from Ecce Bellus, their 4th July Shirt and Summer Hat. The shirt is included in S, M, L, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, and the hat with watermelon print on the band has a built in resize script. The skirts you see here are two of the 4 included in our group gift from ONE Creations, their DQ Double Layer lace skirt fatpack. Each color is in a single mesh size (so I'll guess fitmesh) and besides the blue and red here, there are black and brown versions as well. Either gift can be matched with anything already in your inventory, but it was convenient to have those matching colors for this photo.
Whew, what a day! Unexpected and unidentified illness in my household, changing all my weekend plans and possibly infecting me, so tomorrow's blog post may be brief or I may need to skip a day to help my family and possibly recover. Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some FabFree group gifts, for the inworld Fabulously Free in SL group which is free to join. The group is for the always inspiring Fab Free blog, which I have been avidly reading for pretty much my entire Second life. There are many designers associated with their blog and group, and some of them are generously offering a gift in their store for us to pick up with our Fab Free tag active. I always enjoy sharing them with all of you :) Let's jump right in and see what I found, shall we?
Ahh, Eclectic Stars..."a little bit cheeky, many bits geeky" as their designer says in her notecards inside each of her products. I love indulging my geeky side there! The gift they are currenty offering FabFree members is this Silky Pastel Goth mini kimono style dress, in several fitmesh sizes including standard, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. The bats are disarmingly cute, and I am loving the colors.
My next stop was Ecce Bellus, and they are offering their Crushed Silk Mini w/Shoes for us lucky FabFree group members. The flirty dress comes in standard mesh sizes plus Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique, while the shoes (called Cassie red) come in Slink and Belleza sizes. They are all a perfect match, and I am thinking some simple jewelry with clean lines for an elegant look, or a neat statement necklace to shake things up a bit.
A visit to MOoH! with your FabFree tag active will reward you with this lovely Adele Dress, in several standard and fitmesh sizes including Slink Hourglass and Slink Physique versions. The exquisite floral pattern on the skirt will bring a touch of spring to your wardrobe, no matter what the season.
Next I visited a new store to me, Millenial Rising Ashes, who are offering us this playful Mad Unicorn outfit in just two sizes, Hourglass and Physique. The top and skirt are actually a single mesh piece, and I think this is a very fun look for exploring wherever your second life leads you.
This last outfit is our gift from Heaven & Hell, their Gimmie Patriotic Dress Blue with little Stars. It is an intriguing style, with one ruffled shoulder and a bare shoulder/breast that are covered with an attached solid blue layer like a cropped tank. The skirt is surprisingly short in the back, so you may want to consider a pair of shorts or at least be sure you're wearing your favorite undies :) I also am excited to show you a closer look at the fantastic lipstick I have been wearing in all these photos, a special offer from LIVIA at the Lost & Found event. It is their Desiree Lipstick and includes 10 satiny shades, just $129L each applier pack (Catwa, Lelutka, or Omega/Tattoo). There are dark shades, lighter ones, hues of pinks and purples and even nude, so they should be flattering on any skin tone. My GA.EG Barbara mesh head has smaller lips than average and it still fits me beautifully (I used the Omega HUD) so I am very happy with my beautiful new lipsticks. The event is open until the 18th of June, so you have plenty of time to stop by.
