Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some gifts to show you from the Hair Fair, which is open until the 1st of September. There are 3 sims of displays from very talented and generous hair designers, and at least 15% of each sale is donated to Wigs for Kids. The charity provides kids with cancer or alopecia with wigs to help their self-esteem, and those wigs can also help prevent bullying from other kids too. There are donation kiosks on all the sims if you wish to give a set amount of lindens directly to the cause. I made a purchase and a tiny donation since I believe that every little bit helps. Many designers offer gifts for visitors, either for free or a very small cost, and that is what I'm sharing tonight. All of tonight's gifts can be found in the Blonde sim.
Before diving into the hair, let me tell you about my dress...it is a lucky board gift from -siss boom- that doesn't require a group tag to claim. There are several boards with different prizes, including this beautiful Motion Ocean Dusty strapless dress. It comes in standard mesh sizes as well as Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions. Quick note: the designer observes the Sabbath and the store is closed from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown in her time zone, so you might need to wait until Sunday to visit. As for my hair, this is the gift from Exile called Vera Hair Fair Gift. It includes a fatpack HUD with a whopping 150 color choices, and you can click the hair itself to resize it. Their alluring Lily style for sale is the one I purchased while there, as a fun side note :)
Next I couldn't resist showing you the playful [KoKoLoReS] Hair - Easton gift, a shaggy style that includes a fatpack HUD with 192 total choices. That is an impressive array of options, and there is a tinting feature on the HUD too.
Mello&Moth is offering their Midnight Fatpack as a Hair Fair gift, and it is a terrific style that in brunette somehow reminded me of Kate Beckinsale. There are versions with and without materials, and each of those has a 'boobs' size for more generous chests. There is a color HUD with 50 choices, and a separate tinting HUD so you can even fine tune those if you wish.
Another display on the Blonde sim that has a free gift for us is that of Sintiklia, who are offering their Hair Safire - Colors&pastels roots. It has 3 fitted breast sizes, and 2 unrigged bangs add-ons, both of which can be seen above. The style HUD has 4 versions so you can wear either side behind the shoulder or both in front, or both behind. As for colors, we have 20 vibrant choices like the two I am showing here. The loose waves are a delight of a style.
My final look this evening comes from Tameless, their gift called Wendy Mega Pack. There are several hairs included each with and without roots versions and with or without lolas sizes (fades, fantasy, naturals) that each sync with the provided HUD to offer 30 texture choices for that particular hair. I'm wearing fantasy on the left and naturals on the right. There is plenty of variety to enjoy here with this charming style.
Whew, it has been a busy couple of days! I am continuing to have a bit of relief from pain with CBD cream, and it is easier to type when my fingers don't sting or throb with every movement. I have my usual Saturday plans to look forward to, but nothing that should interfere with my blogging for the next several days. Then before we know it, it'll be September and there will be new hunts and events to explore :) I believe there is a certain spinning cube that will be hiding in many of my favorite stores, to torment but reward Twisted hunters, just to name one upcoming hunt. Hiya everyone! Tonight I am showing you a handful of gifts for either free or a single linden that you can find at the Hair Fair 2018. It covers 4 full sims (plus 2 for cam shopping for when the sim you need is full) named for hair colors, and tonight's goodies are all from the Brunette sim. Don't worry, there is a wide variety of colors among the actual gifts :) I had a great time exploring, and trying on demos when I got home, so I might go back and make a purchase or two. One thing I always make a point to do is donate while I am there, since it's for an excellent cause called Wigs For Kids. Since I needed clothing too, LOL, I found an adorable gift shirt from the marketplace to wear with my favorite jeans which are also from the marketplace and free.
First I'll give you the details on my outfit. The top is from [Dixie Line] and is called Southern Belle Top, completely free promo on the marketplace. The top is in standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions, and there is a HUD included with 3 textures. The jeans are from Delizio and come in several colors (this is the light blue), system layers and appliers for Omega and Maitreya. My hair gift here is the free KMH Hair Fair Gift, which consists of two unrigged versions: blue/purple (left) and brown (right). I love the bangs, loose tendrils, and fun ponytails.
Next we have the striking gift from Astrology, their London Essentials. It comes in small and large sizes, with a HUD that has 40 natural choices and 30 color choices. You can even choose to tint the left and right halves separately for even more variety. How gorgeous are those ribbon-like rainbow streaks? The flowing style with gentle waves really appeals to me too.
This style has so many luscious layers, it is downright feathery. enVOGUE HAIR is offering this Renesmee hair as their dollarbie gift, in fitted and rigged versions. There are two HUDs included also, light colors and dark colors, each with 16 choices as roots or base colors. The wide range of hues really complements the hairstyle.
Tameless Hair is offering their Lana style in its Mega Pack as their free gift. It has a regular size as well as a large breasts size, and there are 3 color HUDs each with 30 options: Fades, Fantasy, and Natural. With 90 different choices, you are sure to find a color to suit any mood or outfit.
My last look of the evening is the gift from Sintiklia called Kaori - Ombre. It is just $1L and includes bento rigged and unrigged/resized versions, plus two styles of bangs. There is a styler HUD with 2 versions to choose from, and the color HUD has 12 ombre combinations to get creative with.

Hiya everyone! Tonight we are going to explore some more prizes from the Finders Keepers St. Patricks Hunt, which has a few days remaining since it runs until the 24th. So far I have mostly shared clothing prizes, but there are several hair designers' stores on the hunt path too. All of tonight's photos include some brand new makeup too, another terrific hunt prize, so lets get right to those images.
Naturally I am wearing some clothing tonight, LOL, the very sexy gift from ~Nerido~ called Anatra Dress (Maitreya) St. Patricks Hunt. There are green and white versions, each in a Maitreya size, and there is a pair of panties beneath that is also Maitreya sized. I accessorized with the Violetility Leprechaun Necklace, their prize for this fun hunt. I think it looks pretty with our dress, and will go nicely with anything you choose to wear it with as well. My hair here is the gift from Sintiklia called Chris and is especially for this hunt, with a Bento fitted version and an unrigged resize version. There is a materials on/off button HUD and a color HUD with 4 shades to choose from, the two seen here plus green and white. I think we all need a fantastic ponytail like this, with such delicate wisps along the hairline that give it a very realistic look.
Olive has very generously included two fatpacks in their hunt prize, and I had a great time experimenting with them to select which colors to display them in. The left side of this photo is the Aime Hair, with a color from the Crazy Glitter color HUD. On the right, we see the Meme Hair in streak version (in this case, the right half of the hair is the 'streak' for tinting purposes) colored with the Red Heads HUD. Each style includes the regular and streaks version, with color HUDs for Blondes, Brunettes, Bubble Goth, Color Fades, Colors, Crazy Glitter, Dark Fades, Greyscale, Naturals, and Red Heads. This is a wonderful opportunity to find your favorite Olive shades and try out two fantastic styles for free.
These glorious beachy waves are our prize from -FABIA- called Adriana Mesh Hair, and a full fat pack of HUDs are provided in natural black & white, natural blond, natural brown, natural red, and unnatural. Whatever mood you find yourself in for a hair shade, they have got you covered in style.
RAMA.SALON has a lovely bun with bangs and looooong side wisps as their prize inside the pot of gold, their Marisa Hair which is an exclusive for this hunt. It includes Small, Medium, and Large sizes and a resize HUD, and there are plenty of color HUDs too: Blacks, Blondes Dark, Blondes Light, Blondes Pale, Browns Dark, Browns Deep, Browns Light, Color Ombre 1-5, Color Ombre 6-10, and Reds. Each HUD offers 5 shades and 2 roots versions, so 15 possibilities per HUD.
I slipped back into the ponytail from Sintiklia (first image, Chris Hair) so you could see my eyes without any hair in the way, because now it is time for me to show off the wonderful gift from LIVIA. The eyeshadow and nails are both included, and are each called Envy. Our trio of eye makeup styles (love that glitter on the top left!) are provided in system layers plus HUDs for Catwa, Lelukta, and Omega which is the one I am wearing. The cat eye liner is always a little higher on my GA.EG head than most vendor images, so your flick of liner will probably extend out towards your temple more. The nails have 5 designs, including a solid gold not shown and two Maitreya mixes, and they are all on a HUD that is compatible with Slink, Omega, Maitreya, and Vista. Green and gold make for such a stunning combination that this can be enjoyed year round with your favorite wardrobe items for any season. I also greatly appreciate having my eyes and nails coordinated perfectly.
Today has been one of those days, with two winter storms combining in my exact area (thanks, Mother Nature...) for what is being called Snowmaggedon, Snowpocalypse, all those cute irritating nicknames that just make me want to hide in a toasty warm blanket fort for a few days. There was a map released of possible power outages in my region, and guess who is right smack dab in the most likely spot? While I do have a generator, it has failed before and doesn't help with internet connectivity, so if that goes I will be out of luck. Xan will let you know if I'm out of commission, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for the 15" of snow predicted to be an exaggeration. Hiya everyone! Tonight I have gifts to share from another sim of the Hair Fair 2017, this time from the Brunette sim. As I have mentioned the past two nights, this wonderful event showcases new hairstyles from a wide range of designers, and each purchase has a designated percentage (15% to 100%, each labeled) donated to the Wigs for Kids charity. We get to help real life children in need, while updating our inventory a bit with a fresh hairstyle. There are donation kiosks if you prefer to donate directly instead of buying or want to throw in a little extra after a purchase. Some of the designers are thoughtfully offering free or $1L gifts for visitors, and that is what you will be seeing here tonight, like the last two posts. I have so much fun showing you these creative looks, and breaking out of my own hair rut! Now I can't very well show you these without wearing some clothing, LOL, so I picked out a dollarbie hunt prize to wear and will give all the juicy details at the end.
My first hair is our gift from ICONIC and is a fatpack with an array of HUDs for plenty of colors as well as a style changer. The color sets include Bombshells, Brunettes, Obsidians, Tonal, Vamps, and Total, and the style HUD offers two slightly different positions for the sides, one is pulled back from the ears and jawline a bit. There are also appliers for hairbases included for Catwa and Lelutka.
This fun burst of curls is our gift from EMO-tions called JOINY in dark brown, and you can see from both views that it has flexi for added movement. They have provided a hairbase for system heads, however I used the base from my GA.EG Barbara head's included HUD which worked out just right.
Sintiklia has a sleek bob as their gift for us, called Lida, in two different colors and each in Bento rigged, resize, and rigged versions. On the left is latteroots, on the right violetblack, and I have gone with the resize versions so a simple click let me enlarge them to fit my head.
For our final look of the evening, we have a very generous gift from Gorgeous Dolls which includes hair and nails with rings. The hair is ~GD~ Jo Fatpack and includes color HUDs called Brazilian Bundles (one is on the left), Natural w/roots (middle) and Sweet Glamour w/roots (right). The nails are called ~GD~ French Tips/Ringed (Baddie Claws) and there are sets for Slink Dynamic, Maitreya Bento, and Vista Bento included. Each set consists of the nails, delicate doll rings, and a HUD with 14 nail shades and 12 metal colors. In the inset I chose one of the few that is not a simple French style, and you can get a better idea of the shape and length of those curved claws. It is also high time I explained my versatile outfit :) It is the Beached Bunny 7 Hunt prize from Adri's King called Outfit Fable, and a single linden when you find the blue beach pail will get you this outfit in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, Maitreya, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine, along with a HUD that offers 12 textures (solids and prints, as seen in tonight's various photos) and 4 choices for the jeans, each a great denim shade.
We are having a heat wave here and the sun setting did not cool things off much at all. However I do have a really exciting weekend planned so I'm in a very good mood :) My best friend of 20+ years is coming to visit on Saturday and attending two farmers' markets with me, and as a bonus another friend is staying the entire weekend so I will be very happily busy. I have one more sim of Hair Fair gifts to share, then I might take a brief break from blogging to be able to spend more time with them. Hiya everyone! Tonight I have the pleasure of showing you my Part 2 of Hair Fair 2016 gifts, very thoughtfully offered by many of the amazing hair creators from around the grid. The hair fair covers several sims, tonight's gifts are all from Backlot West on the sim called Osmium, with direct links to each display borrowed from the official Hair Fair blog. I figured it would make it easier than just saying hey, here's a free hair, now go wander 4 crowded laggy sims to find it for yourself ;) And now I whisk us off to the wondrous world of hair gifts...
My first style of the evening is the adorable free gift from Amacci Hair called Zip Duo, and this includes a HUD with 10 different colors for each half of the hair, none of the colors being repeated, so your hair will definitely have that fun split color look. I very much enjoyed the color choices, along with the style itself having almost an anime feel to it.
Speaking of anime, these bright colors also put me in that mindset. This is actually two different gifts, with the hair on the left being the Sophie Hair in Unicorn Ombre, courtesy of [NANI]. Their take on the classic bob has those soft waves on the end, a fun contrast to the sleek bangs. On the right, you can see the free gift from Sintiklia which is just the buns which can be added to any hair. They come with several HUDs (miscs, blondes, browns, pastels, and reds) and can be edited so you can adjust them as you wish. They are an inventive gift since they are so versatile :)
This one certainly made me think of anime as well, turning it into an accidental running them so far. This stunning 'do is our free gift from Curious Kitties called Nyanotech Hair [Type B] Eihmao. The colors are delightful, and the chopsticks have great details in those flowing ribbons and the crystals that are in perpetual motion as pretty pendulums. This style is ideal for roleplay but also just for a playful change of pace.
Tameless has a free gift for us as well, their Nancy in Naturals with its floaty flexi ponytails. There is something very soft and feminine about this look, and the included HUD lets you select from 30 color choices and there are buttons for color 1 or roots. On the left is without, the right is with roots, and they both have nice dimension to the texture.
One last gift for tonight, we have a dollarbie found at the enVOGUE booth consisting of a wonderful trio of color combinations for their Jasmine Ombre hair. They are simply named A, B, and C, and I've shown those left to right in that order. I actually found myself most drawn to C, to the point where I think I audibly gasped when I tried it on :) I think it suits the skin I'm wearing really well, and those peekaboo bangs are a terrific touch.
Clothing note of the night: I picked up a charming $1L hunt prize at Sevyn East from the Flirty Summer Hunt, their gift being this romper in system layers with appliers for Maitreya/Belleza and an Omega HUD. Just look for a cute little crab, he's a flat prim, and claim him for just one linden to get this great summer outfit.
It was generally a good day, the ENT (ear, nose, & throat specialist) doc gave me a clean bill of health from those infections a couple weeks ago, whew! He is concerned about the severity of my allergies and that I don't regularly take an antihistamine, so he prescribed one that I am considering. I also fought with the Pokemon GO servers, that conked out as soon as I got near several pokestops that had lures on them >.< For non-pokemon fans, that means there was something set out at a place that gives prizes, that attracts extra critters to be caught as well as those goodies every 5 minutes. Think of it like finally getting into a crowded SL event, then losing power or internet. Frustrating! On a lighter note, at least I resisted the urge to call this post Hair Fair 2: Electric Boogaloo ;) Meanwhile I hope you are all having a great day/evening, magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
