Designer Showcase Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is full of gifts for the Designer Showcase event and their 15th anniversary round. Can you imagine such longevity? Naturally we have to help them celebrate :) Just join their group for free and you get to pick up tons of thoughtful gifts, in addition to some excellent sales offers. Let's start with the lovely [Enchantress] Hira Set 2 gift, which gives Emily in Paris vibes. A fantastic choice for exploring a wintry wonderland is our La Feminique Jolie Gift. This cozy puffed jacket, cropped sweater, and pants are all included in sizing for Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I appreciate having the full outfit, and also could see wearing the pieces with other wardrobe components, for example a longer BOM shirt or sweater for even more warmth or adding sneakers to walk through snow.

I kept those pants on to show off the delightful Ghee - SH Philla sweater. The cold shoulder style contrasts beautifully against the turtleneck and long sleeves which tighten at the forearms, and the body is a loose fit that is so fun for this season. For my final look this evening, I am loving the SAS - Mady Pink Dress gift from Sascha's Designs. This wrap dress looks ethereal in pale pink, reminiscent of flower petals, and you'll find Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes inside when you unpack this beauty. Naturally I had to add the .:{Sofia}:. Shakira Necklace Diamond Shine. Pink gift, because the colors are a match made in heaven :) The closer view lets you see that it has tiers of emerald cut pink gems, and it will fit Gen X, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn bodies with ease. Sometimes fortune smiles on us, and we find the ideal accessory without even trying.

Whew, my support group session was so chaotic that two people left early and I don't blame them. Our goal is to talk about ways to ease anxiety and share successes and plans/goals, but a new person got really talkative about violence he'd experienced or witnessed which deeply upset one of the longtime members enough that she called him out on being triggering. He sorta dismissed her and kept talking since he was 'trying to make a point though', and she was too upset to stay. I am concerned about her, but the moderator (a therapist) is going to check in with her tomorrow. Fingers crossed that she returns, because I will greatly miss her. Tomorrow I've got an appointment that will keep me from having time to prep a blog post, so it's a night off for me :) I'll be back the next evening with more goodies of course, and a clearer head with a more positive outlook *fingers crossed*. SL22B Hops To Halcyon

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're hopping over to the Halcyon region of SL22B, the Shop & Hop event taking place right now as part of Second Life's 22nd birthday. Isn't it exciting to know that the virtual world we all enjoy so much has been around for so long? I keep thinking about how impressive and mind-boggling that is, and all the lives they have touched and brought together. As I've mentioned before, we have 20 store displays per region and there are 24 total (20 moderate, 4 adult) so that's a lot of gifts to appreciate :) I do strongly recommend the FabFree spreadsheet of gifts, which you can sort by tabs at the bottom by type (male, female, unisex/both, store credit, dinkies, etc.) or region or store name alphabetically. I keep the gifts in my folders by region for now so I can share one at a time with you.

My first look of the night is the adorable Black.Flowers - Summer time Gift Set. Its bra top and short shorts are each provided in Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. As you can tell, there's also a HUD tucked in there, which lets us choose from 6 colors for each piece :) It seems I was in a matchy type mood, but mixing is also on the table here. I must admit that I've been wondering why I am so drawn to bows in general, and it occurs to me that in this case I think those pretty strands and bows in the back would tempt someone (Xan) to want to touch them, play with them and wind up caressing my back in the process. Subtly steamy!

I paired two gifts for this look, and I'm infatuated with both of them :) The Mossu - SL22BGift Top - Dreamy Rose is trimmed with gemstones and fur, with separate top and sleeves in sizing for Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu bodies. The HUD offers 70 colors each for the fur and gemstones, with on/off for sparkles and gemstones, plus 6 transparency options as well as the opaque I am using here. Candy Kitten made it extra easy for me to complete this look with their *CK* Coy shorts SPECIAL gift, thanks to its fun little HUD. That has 5 colors for the shorts, 15 for the belts, and 2 metals for the hardware. Love the heart-shaped buckles, and the flirty cutouts in front with distressed strings draped through! These sweet shorts fit eBody, Legacy, and Lara X mesh bodies.

For some folks in RL and SL, summer means surfing, so if you're hitting the waves you will need the Moon Coven: Wetsuit gift. Isn't it stunning? There are sizes for Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. The shiny black fabric really helps the pink trim pop, and I think it will be very handy for anyone who wants to try surfing or just enjoys time at the beaches of SL.

Next I slipped into the Evergreen - SL22B GIFT which is a terrific hoodie that could either be a short dress or a long tunic. In sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra Bimbo, Low, Original, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn bodies, it has short sleeves, pert front pockets, and darker blue trim that really complements the main heathered blue fabric. The slits on each hip are making me think I will wind up wearing it over jeans or maybe capri pants for a touch of modesty :)

My final look brings us back to the beach with the Ruxy-Vera Free Gift. We get the appearance of a two piece bikini, but they are linked to wear at once in Legacy and Lara X sizes. We also receive a HUD with 5 fabric colors, all of which work beautifully with the intricate gold trim. Those flowers made me gasp, so lovely :)

We've had storms off and on last night and all day today, but they should let up soon for a day or so, fingers crossed. I'm still somehow amazed that July is here already, just really weird sense of time lately. I am a little nervous about my appointment tomorrow afternoon, more because of being in a car at all than about the weather, but I know it is important so I'll try my best to hang in there. Hollyhock Shop and Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're back at the Valentine Shop & Hop, this time exploring the Hollyhock region which is one of 14 that are part of the event. With 20 designers per region, that means we have 280 fantastic displays filled with discounted sales offerings and free gifts. The regions are decorated to theme, with notes of friendship, flowers, and romance, but the individual displays vary according to the tastes and inclination of the designers so you never know what you'll encounter :) I do mean that in a good way, as I enjoy being surprised by creativity. I'm also impressed with the hard work that the FabFree team put into their amazing spreadsheet, ready to guide you with landmarks, gift photos, and sortable by type of gift so you can ensure you don't miss a thing.

The first goodie I tried on this evening was the Ghee - Valentines S&H Gift 2025 dress. It has fun straps that both drape over our left shoulder, a flirty cutout on the left ribcage, and asymmetrical skirt tied at the hip. The double layered hearts in white on a black background are our nod to the holiday, nothing over the top but still romantic :) This gift includes sizing for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, Pinup, and Reborn mesh bodies.

If you're looking for a gift with more sex appeal, how about this Limited Addiction - Ruby Dress I Love You gift!? Putting it on made me feel like the wolf in the Bugs Bunny cartoons whose eyes bulge out, LOL, thanks to the open bodice with playful black bows built in as the only coverage for the boobage. If you can cast your gaze down to the hemline, you'll see the words I LOVE YOU on our left thigh, beneath lots of fun sketched hearts in different styles.

Sometimes one gift isn't enough for one look, so I paired two in a way that definitely made me happy. It looks like two or three separate pieces, but they're linked together and worn as one in sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. It's also got a HUD of course to make it a fatpack, with 10 textures each for the top, lace, and panty. Now by lace they mean the belt or string around our waist, not like an open woven trim :) I had fun playing with the HUD as always, lol, and combined animal prints on the left with solids on the right. Where will you wear this?

One more look this evening, we get to see two gifts from the same incredible designer, QUEENZ :) They are the Red and White versions of the .Q. Dollie dress, and I want to twirl around to play with the lush fur hem of both! They each include Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Peach, Reborn, and Waifu sizing, and the colors work perfectly for Valentine's Day but also for most other times of year.

Happy Anniversary Designer Showcase

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is a celebration of another fantastic event, Designer Showcase, who are currently enjoying their 14th anniversary round. This means we get to claim several generous group gifts by joining their free group, and I had a great time visiting and exploring the sales offers. We have until the 20th to stop by, grab demos (and gifts), and return to complete our shopping.

My first look of the evening is our MAHOGANY Store gift called ~MS~ CAMPBELL SET. Its top and panty are each provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizing, and the top has a long sheer panel with diagonal hem that has beautiful hearts decorating it. The panty is slightly lifted in the back, almost like a tiny wedgie LOL, which somehow intrigued and amused me. 

I also picked up the charming Ghee - DS Gift 2025 which is a fun outfit for this time of year. The cropped hoodie, short denim skirt, and belt will all fit Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies, and can be worn separately or all together as I've done here :) The belt has a silver heart shaped charm attached that particularly caught my eye, and I appreciate the way the hood and cuffs of the top match the denim of the skirt.

Next I got to try on the I.M. Collection Yuletide Set, a gift that I can see getting a lot of wear out of :) There are sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies each for our jacket, pants, and heels. Did you notice in the rear view that those stiletto heels are pretty silver to match the buttons on the jacket and waistband of the pants? I do appreciate attention to detail, and there is something so elegant about this look too.

For this look I kept on the pants from the prior one, to show off not just one but two terrific tops :) On the left you can see the Evergreen - DS GIFT '25 which is a delicate lacy tank top in pale blue. It's provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn sizes, and will go beautifully with anything you decide to pair with it. The BQ::Mayla Knotted Shirt:: Red Roses gift from BlondeQueen is the sweet treat on the right above, cropped to a similar length as its neighbor. I do love the knot in the front, and the sweetheart neckline that gives a romantic feeling just like the slightly puffed short sleeves :) The gift includes sizes for Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. I'll be tempted to find a long red maxi skirt to wear this with, or maybe pants in a color to bring out the greenery of the roses.

My final look tonight comes from Hilly Haalan and is their stunning [hh] Joelle Dress gift. It is so flattering with the V neckline, fluttery sleeves, and softly ruffled hemline that falls below the knee. It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, and wait till you see the HUDs! The fabrics HUD has 25 patterns each for the front, back, and sleeves & ruffle, while the plains HUD offers 50 colors for each of those sections. As you can see here, we can mix and match between the HUDs so I do recommend adding them both while you decide on the look that suits your mood. I had a great deal of fun playing with them, and if you've read here before you probably know what a fan of HUDs I am :)

It was a quiet, snowy day here, and I am grateful that it wasn't as bad as some predictions indicated were possible. We got about 2" which is less than the 3-6 initially expected, and it is certainly cold but I should be able to go out during the week. Gleaming at Shop and Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're visiting the Gleaming region at SL21B Shop & Hop, one of 20 moderate regions (there are also 4 adult ones) to visit for lots of exclusive offers, discounted sales, and gifts galore. I've shared a few already, and since we have until the 21st I'm sure I will have at least one more post before it wraps up :) Free gifts, no group needed, what else could we ask for? I am grateful to all 480 designers taking part, as well as the FabFree team for organizing a spreadsheet of all the stores, gifts, photos, and locations. I refer to it when I want to make sure I didn't miss any gifts, and to verify that I've got them sorted accurately by region. 

My first look is the gorgeous Belle Epoque - Aiora - Pride dress, a corset style mini with a rainbow of hearts scattered about. I went to my podiatrist appointment this afternoon, and it went fairly well. That's not to say the anxiety wasn't an issue, but I somehow got through it anyway and convinced myself to persevere. The visit itself went smoothly since nothing was ingrown, just long, so no painful digging or anything. I've been chatting with my mom to narrow down plans for Friday's dinner, what we do instead of a BBQ for this type of holiday...turkey burgers, hot dogs, rotisserie chicken, and she will make potato salad which I always enjoy. None of these are going onto an outdoor grill, so it's really just a nod to years past when we actually did that :) I've voted for cheddar cheese for the burgers this year. Designer Showcase Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're celebrating an anniversary, the Designer Showcase and their impressive 13 years :) That is such a wonderful accomplishment and I wish them continued success in the future. This round just opened and lasts till the 25th of the month, with several participants offering group gifts for the anniversary. You definitely don't want to miss out, as the group is free to join and these gifts are a great excuse to stop by and find yourself some new looks for the new year.

My first look of the evening is the Yuvitza DS Gift 2024 from Ghee. This lovely dress in dreamy teal will fit Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Pushup Nerido, Reborn, Reborn Juicy, and Reborn Mounds mesh bodies. The bra cups are slightly sheer and have a fun swirly pattern on them, while the solid colored skirt is accentuated with a slit on the left hip to show off even more skin.

Next I shimmied into my favorite Delizio jeans (well one of the many pairs you can find in their marketplace fatpack freebie) to share the Evergreen - DS GIFT '24 cropped sweater. I always wind up with humorous flashbacks to teenage Dawn and her best friends, when one of the friends was utterly obsessed with polka dots of all sizes and colors, and we spent a week on vacation together (with my parents and grandmother too) where every stitch of clothing she wore was polka dotted. Undies, nightgowns, bathing suits (beach trip), shoes, socks, it was wild!

Entice has a playful treat awaiting, as their gift is this One Love Dress - Mardi Gras in flirty style with eye-catching coloring. One final look tonight, I am dazzled by the beauty of the SASCHA'S DESIGNS gift called SAS - Hope Black Dress. My inner magpie definitely said "ooo sparkly!" as soon as I tried it on :) The fabric looks like it was crafted for royalty, or at least the upper echelon of society, with embossing and a scattering of sparkles. Whew, the weekend is finally here! I had a nice dinner at my parents', chicken teriyaki with rice and veg, and we looked at some really old pictures that made me laugh. One of my birthday parties with a few kids from school had me struggling to recall who one of the little girls was, like she looked familiar but I was completely blanking on her name. She was a year younger so not in my class photos from that time frame, and I finally remembered on the way home that her name was Karen something. There's a name that we won't see given to babies again for quite some time, eh? I actually went to school with several girls named Karen, and none of them were mean or rude or anything like the meme personality. One was spelled Caryn and I always liked that version better as a kid. Oh well, I've got a shopping list to write up for the farmers market tomorrow (housemate goes for me since I cannot) and a dozen things to do in SL as always. SENSE Event Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the SENSE Event for its 6th anniversary round, for which I offer them huge congratulations! They feature new releases there, and there are several designers who are offering free group gifts for this celebratory round. The Sense Event group is free to join, so the treats I am sharing tonight won't cost you a dime :) I was pleased to see so many familiar brands here, but of course there is always a chance at any event to meet a new favorite too. The current round of SENSE is open until the 8th of January for our shopping convenience.

For my first look of the evening, I'm wearing the wonderful Finale Couture Janine - Brown gift. The top and pants are each provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with boots that fit Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. The bracelet and necklace I'm wearing here are included too, each with a resizer script built in that you can access just by clicking the item. I usually right click - touch from inventory, just to make sure my avatar doesn't move and make me misclick ;) This outfit has a rugged style from the pants, yet a fun touch of flirtatiousness because of the cropped tank top and high heels on the boots.

I kept those pants on to show off this striking Ghee - Lizzie Top GIFT, which caught my eye with both the style and the colors! There is a standard fitted size as well as Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite mesh body sizing. I do love halter tops, and this one bares our entire back while covering the essentials in front. What will you wear it with? I'm sure I have a few skirts that would bring out a dressy side, or any number of jeans or leggings when I'm feeling casual.

I definitely think the Evergreen - Sense GIFT '23 dress is a great way to ring in the new year! Well, this weekend we say goodbye to 2023 and cross our fingers for a better, brighter 2024. I've had enough health challenges to be very eager to say farewell to the year, and am looking forward to seeing if the new year brings any improvement. WIP Event Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features several gifts from the WIP Event and its 5th anniversary, celebrated in classic SL style with group gifts :) We can visit as many times as we wish until the 22nd of July, so that is lots of time to pick up demos and make any purchases that catch our eye. The WIP group is free to join, and I think I saw about 10 gifts in various store displays. Have fun!

First up, we see the provocative [ZEX] Vermika Sexy mini dress Latex Fishnet gift. It lives up to every bit of its name as you can see, with a low cut neckline and daring slits on each hip. There are sizes for Erika, Erika Squeezed, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Pushup, Nerido, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy mesh bodies to fit plenty of popular bodies. The latex has a fantastic shine that makes me want to run a finger down it to hear it squeak ;)

Turn some more heads in the Ruxy-Brooklyn gift which is also yours for free. The bright teal color looks great on the satin skirt, and the lacy top portion looks to be a bit darker and equally beautiful. We receive Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite sizes when we claim this impressive gift.

The tiny bows are a very nice touch, aren't they?

zOOm combines sex appeal and versatility into their gift called Allegra Dress. It is laced up both front and back, loosely enough to show lots of skin, and since it's strapless it makes sense to need to be tied that precisely into place :) There are Belleza Gen X Classic, Belleza Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy Boobs sizes provided, along with a 4 color HUD. Those textures change the background color and the circles in the center for each color, so plenty of dark and charming shades available.

My final look of the evening is the elegant ::WILD:: Fashion J'adore Gown & Earrings gift. The apricot color looks wonderful with the bold black lace contrast, and the style is a flirty one with the flashes of cleavage, left leg, and exposed back. The gift consists of sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies of the dress, and the matching dangly earrings to accessorize with.

By now it probably won't surprise anyone that Truth Hair released a new style, and I eagerly purchased it :) It wasn't on social media so I didn't know until I got the subscriber notice inworld, but then I had a chaotic weekend so I didn't get there until this morning. At that time Inocent was still discounted for The Saturday Sale, but no indication of when it moves over to the new releases area for full price. I must say, I've priced other hair brands and find Truth's retail prices to be quite reasonable. For my first several years in SL I always wore redhead/ginger colors only, so paying a large cost for a full pack of shades never made sense for my shopping habits. Even now it seems gingers and blondes are my go-to :) Every color HUD from Truth has the styling options offered, so you aren't paying extra just to be able to change wisps or alter the appearance slightly. This isn't a sponsored post by the way, just my personal observations from almost 16 years of hair shopping. Goodness, imagine how many $ lindens that would be!

Designer Showcase Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are helping Designer Showcase celebrate their 12th anniversary, which is such an impressive achievement here in SL! The celebration means that most of the designers are offering free gifts for the Designer Showcase VIP group, which is also free to join so these won't cost you a thing. I still strongly suggest checking out the exclusive offers at each display, as I was very impressed with what I saw and do have a few purchases in mind :) This round just opened and lasts until the 25th, so plenty of time to grab those demos and return for some shopping.

My first look is the charming casual LARRYA Set BY BL, the gift from Blackbirdlace. The tied tank top and loose fit jeans each come in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite sizes, with matching heels to fit Belleza, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink feet. The blue heart outline pattern on the tank top matches the jeans and shoes quite well, and the shadowing on the jeans makes them look so touchable.

Another fun outfit with jeans can be found at the Evergreen display, simply called DS GIFT '23. The purple sequin tank top and grey jeans are each provided in sizing for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. I like the high waisted jeans with the slightly cropped top, showing just a slender bit of midriff without looking too summery, so we can wear this whenever the mood strikes all year round.

Next we take a look at the charming [hh] Darlene Coat gift from the always generous Hilly Haalan display. There are versions with and without the fur collar, each in Freya, Isis, Venus, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. The included HUD offers 30 colors apiece for the coat, sleeves, belt, coat liner, inner collar, and outer collar with the last 2 being for that fur trim. I am a big fan of coat style dresses, and this one has a very sleek, flattering fit. 

The gift from Sascha's Designs is this stunning SAS - Mireile Apricot Tux Dress, and I am absolutely a fan! The sparkly texture is delightful, and the black lapels and pocket flaps provide the perfect contrast. We receive sizes for Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies in this thoughtful gift.

For my final look of the night, I chose the zOOm - Annie Gift Dress to share :) Their terrific styles have appeared here on my blog many times, so it is no surprise that I am a longtime fan of theirs. This dress is provided in eBody Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and has the look of two pieces since the top has that eye-catching golden texture. I think those are runes on fine lines, as I have seen similar tattoo artwork.
