FaMESHed Part Two

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we've got more gifts from the FaMESHed event's 14th anniversary round to enjoy. They have a separate area for the gifts, so you will need to join the group by copy/pasting secondlife:///app/group/8ae32885-b174-3f8e-4a70-5df905f8f93a/about into your local chat and then you are able to teleport into the group area :) There is plenty of shopping to appreciate too of course, and I am always eager to see what's new. I've known many RL businesses that didn't last for 14 years, and time seems to work differently in SL so it's a huge accomplishment that I am pleased to help them honor by sharing this information.

We start with the playful GIZ SEORN "Miera" Set [Print 1] gift. Its strapless top and low slung pants are each provided in Lara X, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh body sizes. There's also a HUD for the ornaments on the top (bow and fringe) that lets us choose from 12 different colors. Isn't that striped pattern a fun one? 

Our next outfit looks like lingerie, and you'll be surprised to hear that it's all one piece! The MIDNA - Coraline Outfit - LIGHT BLUE gift comes in sizing for Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a HUD that offers 14 choices each for the borders and hearts, plus the ability to hide or unhide the panties. The rainbow texture somewhere in the middle of the bar of color buttons is the one that caught my eye for the left above :) 

Our littlefox - Eliana dress / minty gift is ready to cling to every curve and show off our shape to perfection :) There are Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes included, as well as a HUD for the built in panties with 40 colors and a show/hide option. The dress color is dreamy, and I love the cutouts that bare our shoulders above the extended long sleeves.

It was time for a frosty cold drink, so I added the WetCat :: Soda Cup for AO [Bento] treat to this outfit :) The cup is bright red with DeerCat on it in white, and has a menu on touch with a still pose hold, animation for drinking, or you can stop the animations entirely. 

My final look of the night is our [VARSITY] "Lia" bodysuit (Pack-04) group gift. The suit has a pretty collar and full sleeves, built in black belt, and classic cut leg openings that add up to an elegant and sexy look. We receive sizes for Lara X, Legacy, Nhumana, and Reborn mesh bodies, as well as an 8 color HUD whose palette reminds me of either blush, highlighter, or lipsticks. That does mean that the colors are flattering to a wide range of skin tones, and just generally quite pretty :) 

It was a really busy day yesterday, and I enjoyed the places I went even though the drive to each was stressful. They were close together, so it was convenient if not the easiest on the old anxiety ;) It rained off and on all day, and just started again now, so you'd think the temperature would start dropping but it was 78 in this room a little while ago. 73 now, whew! FaMESHed Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are unwrapping some presents from under the Christmas tree at the FaMESHed event. They are free for members of the event's group, which is also free to join, and there are several gifts among the boxes surrounding the tree. It is worth mentioning that some are just decorative and don't contain anything, so just keep clicking and it is mostly the inner ring closest to the trunk of the tree. This event has about 2 weeks to go, as it is open until the 27th of the month. 

My first look starts with the Have Unequal gift called [HU] Frost Dress_Mint HoHoHo!! which can be worn as a dress or a short top with a single click of their HUD. There are eBody Reborn, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite sizes, and the HUD I mentioned offers the dress/top option and show/hide for the belt and thong as well as lots of colors: 21 for the edges, 35 for the sleeves including several patterns/ombres, 21 for the belt, and 21 for the thong. We even get to choose from 5 metals for the belt hardware, so this is one super versatile gift! My necklace is also a gift, the charming TORI TORICELLI // Hanna Choker // FATPACK. It comes in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite fits, with a HUD to choose from 24 colors each for the choker and stone, plus 3 metals for the frame and chain. I really appreciate the ability to change the look like this, and I feel like this choker has retro or goth vibes but will work well with a modern style too.

This gift is the GIZ SEORN: 'Brandie' Belted Jacket, and it has versions with and without the tank top layered beneath so you can decide just how flirty you want your look to be :) Each version fits Freya, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, and there is a handy HUD that offers 20 colors each for belt 1 and belt 2 along with 24 for the tank top and 5 metals for the belts. That double belt is a really fun touch, and I think this will look nice with lots of different styles of pants, jeans, or leggings layered beneath. 

Another top that I was able to get away with showing off as a very short dress is the lovely *Just BECAUSE* Yolanda Sweater. The red and white striped trim immediately calls to mind a candy cane, and suits the solid red knit so well. There are sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies included. I'm leaning towards my white jeans to wear with this, to complement the stripes and look great for these chilly evenings.

I know I just mentioned cold weather, but this next gift is definitely suited to turning up the heat indoors :) It is our gift from Glitzz called Jordana Lingerie - White, and consists of the bra, panties, and garter each in Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn sizes. They can be worn individually too, and the lace of the bra and panties is just the softest wisps of fabric with beautiful texturing. I would like to mention that last week I shared one of their Advent calendar gifts from their mainstore and said you needed their free group to claim it...as it turns out, no group is necessary so if you were avoiding them because of lack of group space, go go go!

My final look this evening incorporates the bra from the Glitzz gift (see, they are pretty separately too, and yes this is rather minimal coverage up top LOL) to pair with the flirty (*<*) 1313 Becky Skirt - Christmas Red from 1313 Mockingbird Lane. That store name always makes me chuckle, as I immediately recognized it as the address of the Munsters from their tv show long ago. Their unpacker HUD will have you dancing around while you choose from Maitreya, Legacy, or Perky to unpack, then each holds versions with and without panties. As you can see from both views, the hemline of this pretty pleated mini is daringly short so you just may need those panties to wear in public ;) 

Yesterday evening I received some sad news, my godmother passed away after a long battle with lung cancer. She was 80 and had smoked for I'm going to guess at least 3/4 of her life, trying several times to quit but never really succeeding. She was very petite, well under 5' tall (I think 4'9") and slender, so they couldn't even do certain treatments on her but they did attempt some experimental things. Even knowing it was inevitable, I am still struggling a bit since we hadn't seen her in a few years (thanks, pandemic) so I already missed her. My godfather's birthday (her husband) was less than a week ago, and the timing between that and the holidays is just heart wrenching. My suggestion - tell someone you love them today, before it's too late, even if they know it and have heard it before. Happy Anniversary Uber

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are celebrating the 8th anniversary round of the UBER Event, with a little twist. Instead of gifts at the event itself, there are landmarks at each display of the stores who are participating so we can visit their mainstore to find the gifts. They are mostly in boxes that are tan with a golden yellow ribbon tied in a bow, and I suggest checking for a front desk at each store to help you locate these gifts. The vast majority do not need any special group tag to claim them, so they are free for everyone to enjoy. This round is open until the 22nd of September and I believe the gifts will be available for the same time frame. There are pros and cons to this method, with a drawback being that teleporting so many times can strain the PC, but pluses are that you don't have to battle Uber's crowds for long if it is busy, and the stores can offer additional sales if they wish. 

First I slipped into the [[ Masoom ]] Fall Vibes Gift, a one-sleeved ruched mini dress with strapless thong. They each fit Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. The color is so glowy and vibrant, I love it!

Next we take a look at the charming GIZ SEORN: UBER Anniversary Gift. Our simply named sleeveless dress is unbuttoned to show the built in bra layer, and there is an attached belt to cinch the waist. The gift comes in sizes for Freya, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. I really like the tropical print!

For something extra flirty, be sure to visit ~Nerido~ and claim their free Karole Set-White GIFT. The bra top with one strap folded down and matching panties are each included in Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes. I also visited [ west end ] where I found their wonderful Vero Jean Dress - FATPACK gift. The style is simple yet unique, thanks to the way the straps connect at the back of the neck to show scooped out shoulderblades :) The dress comes in sizing for Alice, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, with a HUD that lets us choose from 14 colors in 3 varieties for 42 total options. The polka dots look great either light or dark, and we can select a solid denim hue if we prefer.

My final look this evening combines two Uber gifts, but we can of course pair these separates up however we wish. The top is the Tachinni - Aria top - Uber Gift, whose unpacker HUD lets us choose from Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn sizes or we can unpack them all at once. The heart-dotted top has long sleeves and is held loosely closed by one single chain. The pants are the !EE Rudbeckia leggings Gift from !ElvenElder, with deep plunging front and extended hem that covers the heels and seems to work best for Mid height feet. There are Legacy and Maitreya sizes provided, with a 21-color HUD as well as a materials glossiness HUD. Most of the colors are solid, but there were a pattern or two among the choices so I suggest checking them all out :) 

It was just one of those days, and I have to reschedule my chiropractor appointment that should have been tomorrow afternoon but I now have no way there due to a minor medical issue (not mine). It will probably be next week instead, not a big deal other than the last minute change probably inconveniencing the office for which I do feel guilty and will be apologizing profusely. I also have a podiatrist appointment this week, so time will tell if that still takes place. I would prefer it does, as it's already later than it should be and my toenails are really uncomfortable. Cosmopolitan Anniversary II

Hiya everyone! Tonight I visited the second half of the Cosmopolitan 10th Anniversary rounds, as they have 2 brief rounds per month. This one is open until the 28th, and much like the first one this month there are lots of thoughtful gifts from many of the participating designers. Just wear your Cosmopolitan group tag (free to join) and click all the wooden crates you can find, easy peasy and very worthwhile :) I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I did, even if it is still rather crowded in these early days.

For my first look this evening, I tried on the lovely Mimikri - Aloha Fringe Detail Dress. This gift includes sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The fringe reminds me of a grass skirt, and the images on the dress make me want to hula on over to a sunny beach! I've never had the pleasure of visiting Hawaii in RL, but fortunately I am certain we can do so in SL.

Next we have the flirty -Aegyo-Sarang (Salmon) outfit, another wonderful gift for the Cosmopolitan group. The long sleeved crop top is raised to reveal the left breast, so I used a 'modesty flower' in photoshop so that white flower you see is not part of the clothing or SL whatsoever. The top and panties each fit Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies, with a HUD to select from 2 metals for the chains on the panties. 

Another summery treat is the Coralie Bikini Lilac which is our gift from Safira. The bra top is comprised of two seashell shapes with no visible straps, calling to mind a mermaid. The bra and panties are provided in sizing for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya bodies. I really like the soft color and the subtle scale pattern on the panties, making this an instant favorite for this time of year.

Perhaps you are in the mood for a casual, cute jumper like I just about always am, then I suggest picking up the Yasum gift. Their generous Tally FATPACK includes sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, with a HUD to choose from 34 textures and 10 metals for the zipper etc. on the front. There is a nice variety among the textures, such as plaids like you see on the left or the print with text on the right, all in various color combos. The design on the left has sayings such as "Be the Energy you wish to Attract" and "I decide my vibe" so they are very uplifting, inspirational expressions which I greatly appreciate.

My final look of the evening is a playful bodysuit from GIZ SEORN that is simply named Cosmo 10th Anniversary Gift. It could also double as a swimsuit if you wish, an advantage over RL where fabric and stitching would prevent that versatility. This gift comes in Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizes. The combination of prints is unique and complementary, in lovely earth tones. 

It was a quiet day here which is generally a good thing, and I am glad to have a couple of days without any appointments or plans before what might be a busy weekend. The weather is going to be much warmer, up to 93 degrees on Saturday, so it is hard to imagine that it was half that temperature just last week. Uber Anniversary Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some more generous gifts from the Uber event's anniversary round, which are actually hunt prizes. We are exploring the mainstore of each participating designer to find light brown paper giftboxes. The landmarks and hints are found on Uber's website, so you need to have that open while you are partaking in the hunt. Many of the hunt prizes are HUDs that work with the offers for sale at Uber, so if you do any shopping there it is especially important to find those store's prizes :) There are plenty that are independent clothing and accessories though, so it is worth completing the hunt. Whether you go it alone or choose to employ teamwork as I did with Xan's help, the hunt is a great way to get to know the Uber designers and their hard work a little better.

My first look of the evening is the dazzling INDIGO - Doutzen Maxi Dress hunt prize, a body hugging full length dress wrapped in sequins. The prize includes sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies, with a 3 color HUD with the two seen above and a lovely pale peach. Each choice is bound to be flattering to many skin tones. 

I also found the generous prize at SPIRIT which contains their sexy Toni skirt and top, each of which come in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizing. There is also a HUD with 6 strap colors and two metal tones, for added versatility. I like the way the top has supportive looking bra cups above a bold bow, then the back is held in place with intricate straps that match the ones on the skirt sides. So alluring!

I kept the SPIRIT top on here, but changed into the Giz Seorn prize called 'Haruka' Skorts. Spellcheck here is not liking the word skorts, which is a mashup of skirt and shorts that refers to the way they are built like shorts but have a panel in front for a skirt-like appearance. I do enjoy wrapping myself in denim, and the floral embroidery on the front is beautiful! This gift includes sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies.

Lots of our prizes are footwear, so I decided to zoom down and show off a couple randomly selected pairs :) This is the Baiastice_Lisle Sandals-All Colors prize, designed for Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink flat feet. The HUD that comes with them lets you choose from 6 colors for the chains across the top, 9 for the sole, and 15 for the T shaped strap beneath the chains. The rings that hold them in place change colors with the chains for terrific coordination. 

For my final look this evening I am showing off a tattoo as well as a pair of shoes :) The tattoo is the Bridah Feet TaTToo [CAROL G] prize, an intricate flower that comes in 35%, 50%, 75%, and 100% opacity each in system/BOM layers plus appliers for Belleza, Legacy, Omega, Maitreya, and Slink bodies. The red of the flower goes really nicely with the LYBRA. UBER 2021 GIFT which is the bold crimson peeptoe stilettos you see here. My day was busy but okay, although it would have been better if I had not been stuck in traffic for nearly an hour trying to get home from the chiropractor and a couple other errands. It was very unusual, but no signs of an accident or anything (thank goodness) so I have no idea why that particular area was jam-packed with cars. We took at least 3 detours to try to find a faster route, all to no avail. Oh well, I got home safely and that is all that matters :) I am still adventuring with hunts in SL this week, with a few other ideas for upcoming blog posts too (group gifts!) so as always I ask you to stay tuned for more goodies. Dancing With Myself

Hiya everyone! Tonight we take another trip to the Uber event and their birthday round, where there are dozens of free gifts for everyone with no group needed. It is such a popular event that the main sim and even the camera sims (Harajuku and Cam Sim) might still be crowded, so please continue to try every now and then if they are full. You have over 3 weeks to go, as it is open until the 22nd of September, so there is no rush :) The gifts are in pretty boxes with gold and black balloons tied to each, so you can see them easily even if you are camming over from one of the additional sims. I also have a special offer to show you from Entice, that you can find at this round of Cosmopolitan. It is an impressively versatile outfit with plenty of choices for any mood or budget. As for my title, I went completely random and had a Billy Idol song pop into my head for unknown reasons. 

First we have the gift from Storybook, which is their Tymina in Blush dress. It has been crafted for the Maitreya mesh body, with several crossed straps to connect the top and fluttery skirt. The soft color has a satiny sheen to it, for an exquisite effect.

This charming dress is the Charlize Dress Lilac gift from Valentina E. It is also provided in a Maitreya size, and has a built in belt that matches perfectly. I like the deep neckline, which would probably frame your favorite necklace quite nicely. 

Time to get flirty this weekend with the gift from SEUL! Their Lilith Swimsuit - Navy Gift is somewhere between a bikini and a one-piece, since it provides similar coverage to a bikini but is intricately tied together to be a single piece. It comes in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. I continued the flirty look with some body art, the .:Vegas:. Tattoo Applier Take Over 213 gift. This is a unisex gift, tattoos on both arms (sleeves) all the way down to the hands that even include skulls on the knuckles and just a flash of red among all the dark ink. There are various options for how dark or fresh you want the tattoo to appear (light, medium, dark) and each is provided in system/BOM layers along with appliers for Altamura, Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, Omega, Signature, and Slink. 

A trio of gifts appear in this look, starting with the top from VINYL called Salt Cami - Uber Gift August 2020. It is a soft grey with delicate straps and a tiny ruffle at the bottom hem, and comes in Alice, Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. The upper left reads #VINYLBABE so there is a bit of advertising happening there ;) The striking skirt is the GIZ SEORN gift, Simply named Uber Anniversary Gift. It has an attached belt in vibrant deepest pink that almost appears red, and picks up one of the many colors in the embroidered design both front and back, beautifully. I am also enjoying another tattoo gift here, the Doris TaTToo Black from [CAROL G]. You can choose your opacity (35%, 50%, 75%, or 100%) to determine how dark it appears, and each one is available as a system/BOM layer or on the appliers for Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink. The center of the design, both front and back, comes down to a similar point as the top, both of which are tucked slightly beneath my shirt. 

For my last look this evening, we head over to the Cosmopolitan event where we are visiting the Entice display. Their offering this round is this adorable Ruby Tuesday outfit, whose top and skirt each come in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya, with an extra Maitreya Petite for the top. There are individual colors/designs available for $250L each (regularly $300L) or you can pick a fatpack of Dots, Prints, Solids, or Stripes for $499L each marked down from $599L. Each fatpack has 10 choices via HUD, 2 of which are fatpack exclusives. Maybe you are thinking even bigger? More FaMESHed Gifts

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more treats to share from the FaMESHed event and its December round. There are many gifts for the free FaMESHed group, just have your tag active and click the wrapped presents you see at the vendor displays. The event is open until the 27th of the month, so just after Christmas, giving you time to visit and enjoy while doing a little holiday shopping. Don't forget to treat yourself, you deserve it!

First we have a generous gift from RIOT which includes sweaters for the ladies and the gents :) This is their Jane Sweater Gift, whose red and green versions are each provided in Freya, Isis, Legacy, and Maitreya sizing. The left shoulder is cut out to show a strap emblazoned with the store's name, so you will always remember who to thank for this cozy gift.

Another group gift that looks great with my Delizio jeans (marketplace, several colors, system layers plus Omega/Maitreya appliers) is the !APHORISM! Deanna Top - Lilac Ltd Ed. This flirty style has a sweetheart neckline leading up to a small collar in the back, and a lush layer of beaded fringe. There is also a HUD that lets you hide the beads or fringe (hiding the fringe also hides the beads automatically) with 4 colors each for beads 1, beads 2, and the fringe. I must admit to being very distracted tonight after some bad news about a very talented member of my favorite hockey team. He was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer, and will be missing the rest of the season to receive treatment. He is just 23 years old, and it is heartbreaking for his fans to know that he is facing such a huge challenge. Honestly I do think he will beat it and be able to play again someday, based on being young and healthy, and having top notch cancer treatments available in the area. They keep posting pictures of him in the purple practice jersey he wore for Hockey Fights Cancer night recently, and it's making me teary every time I see it. We have games tomorrow and Sunday, and I'm just not emotionally prepared. 

My plans for this weekend are to post Sunday morning rather than Saturday night, so I can share some more wonderful Advent calendar gifts with everyone, and since my Saturdays are always busy it will be nice to have the evening off :) Then I think I will be returning to evenings for Monday, but I will decide before my next post so I can have a definite answer then. SLF&O Hunt Prizes

Hiya everyone! Tonight I would like to tell you about another free gridwide hunt currently taking place, the SLFO Hunt which is organized by the SL Frees & Offers group. They have such an impressive list of designers taking part, and each has an orange autumn leaf hiding in their store for us to find. The hints and landmarks are on their website, which I've found to be slightly more accurate than the landmarks inside the prize folders, so if you get lost be sure to peek at the site to make sure you're still on the path correctly. The prizes are fantastic, as you'll see for yourself if you find them all by the 25th of November when the hunt wraps up.

Our first stop is Entice, where you can claim their Shine On Top & Skirt - Blue.
