How To Look Fabulous

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood for variety, and decided to explore the FabFree group gift listing for ones that I hadn't shared yet but were not the most recent. This way you can pick up the gifts that might be closer to the time when the designers will swap them out, so as to not miss out before they are gone :) The FabFree in SL group is always free to join, and their blog is as wonderful as their group which is why I've been a huge fan of both for many years. They keep us informed of sales and events, help us find gifts, and even organize hunts a couple of times a year that I adore. Of course it helps that many of my favorite stores are participating designers, most of whom also offer gifts for anyone wearing the "I Am Fabulous" group tag.

My first look this evening comes from The Annex, and is one of several gifts in boxes on a very low shelf so just look for a grey box in front of the FabFree rainbow logo. This is called Gia Dress FATPACK, and there are 6 colors each in Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes. I'm wearing dusty rose on the left and mint on the right, and our other choices are beige, blue, gray, and lavender. Those are some great color options, and the tiered style is so pretty with the sequined layer and slender matching belt. 

I also visited Sweet Serenity Designs, who are currently offering multiple gifts for the FabFree group, including this flirty SSD LOGANAH DRESS BROWN. There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies included. The long sleeves are a fun contrast to the short hemline and cutouts on each side.

Another alluring gift is the ::SS:: Dress Sarah (Wine) from Saussi. This strapless mini is gathered in several places and has a bare midriff with ruched straps crossed both front and back for extra visual appeal. It is provided in Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy sizes, with a HUD for the built in panties with 3 colors and an on/off option. 

Next we have the Via Fulo Christy Dress Purple gift, in a stunning shade of lilac with shimmery pinstripes and a deep V edged in lace. The gift comes in sizing for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies. I feel like this style could work just as well as lingerie as a dress, thanks to the high cut hip slits and just being generally revealing :) 

My final look of the evening is a generous gift from {Le'La} called Leonesio Outfit Gift 1. The jacket and pants each come in Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with matching heels that fit Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink feet. For a more businesslike appearance you can try layering a blouse beneath, or you can go with a bra top if you want just a little extra coverage but still seductive. I love the color palette for this time of year!

It was a quiet day here, but the evening is getting to be a bit tedious since my stomach is not at its best and I'm feeling extra tired. Those two are probably related...it is tiring when we don't feel our best. Come On Over

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood for variety again, so I started by exploring the Spring Fling at Malus Park. This first annual event is open until the 15th of April and features exclusive offers of fashion and home decor. There are also gifts for $25L or less in brightly colored gift boxes at each display, so be sure to check those out too while you visit :) We are encouraged to explore the entire area, as there are additional sights to discover in the beautiful region. Then I realized that there had been several notices recently about new FabFree group gifts, so that felt like a great way to prepare for the weekend. The group is free to join, and many generous designers provide group gifts for its members to enjoy. 

My first look is a delightfully casual outfit from MadCatCreations called Boho Laced Top and Pants w HUD. You can find this at the Spring Fling event for $199L, along with several other great offers. The top and jeans are each included in sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite mesh bodies. There is also a HUD with 10 color choices for the top, and I just have to say that the style impressed me with its solid front and mostly bare back laced oh so loosely. The high waisted jeans are an ideal neutral to wear with any color you choose for the top.

Then I visited Sweet Serenity Designs, where there are currently two FabFree group gifts including one I shared previously. This charming dress is their SSD MELODIE DRESS RED, and it has a relaxed fit with detailed sleeves and a flared skirt. The gift is created for the Maitreya mesh body, but there is always a chance of it fitting similarly shaped bodies. 

FurtaCor has an entire room upstairs dedicated to group gifts, their own group and others, so it is not really a surprise that they are offering three FabFree gifts at present. This is their :::FurtaCor:::Jezabel Dress (FATPACK), and its flirty strapless mini has what I call peek-a-booty ;) That would be the revealing rear view! My final look of the evening is the third FabFree gift at FurtaCor, called [FurtaCor Female] Tamyres Set. It starts with the tank dress in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes, then continues with the pumps & socks (one piece linked together) for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. As you can probably guess, there is also a HUD included so you can pick from 10 colors for each, dress and socks. All of the dresses have the rainbow on the front, but only one sock color (white) has the rainbow at the top, and each dress hue has various colored stripes as the trim. So much variety! There are three lollipops included too, two for the hand and one for the mouth. Both 'hand' ones are for our right hand, with one having an eating animation and the other no pose or animation at all. 

It did not feel like a Friday because of my changed schedule, but it was a decent day regardless :) The weather is feeling much more like spring, and the groundhog who lives in my backyard was out and about again earlier so that makes me happy. Tomorrow is the farmers market I visit every Saturday, then a trip to see the German baker who is moving away soon, not back to Germany but to another state because his wife had to move there for her job. Whispers of Spring

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am pleased to show you some more offers to be found at The Wash Cart Sale during their Make Your Soul Bloom round. It is the final round of this long running event, so be sure to visit and help make it spectacular as the designers have done :) There are selections for $50L or less at every cart, with some exclusive designs that make it even more worthwhile to stop by. I also want to share a few more prizes from the free Kiyomizu Hunt, taking place at the Kiyomizu Mall and some mainstores around the grid. First we visit the Sweet Serenity Designs cart, where there are several beautiful dresses for the Maitreya body for just $50L apiece. On the left above I am wearing their SSD MY SWEET PAPILLION GOWN LILAC, a stunning strapless gown with shadowy swirls and a long mermaid shape. It is the same style (front and back) as the SSD MY EBONY & WHITE PAPIE GOWN you see on the right, so yes it has an intricate butterfly design on the back. Savoha Creations has plenty of affordable offers for us, including home decor, accessories like hair and makeup, and clothing for classic or mesh avatars. The two outfits above are both from their $10L special called mix & match pack 1. It contains 4 tops and 4 pairs of pants, all in system/BOM layers. On the left is the blue dream top and blue fun jeans, with the pink halter top and fancy jeans pink to the right. Just like the name says, we can pair these however we wish and create several different looks for one low price. The mainstore of Savoha is on the Wash sim too, so they are right at home literally here at the cart sale.

Over to the Kiyomizu Hunt, I am especially fond of this prize for a few reasons...one being I have pictures of my mom in a dress in this exact style from the 60s but plain white with blue ribbons and I believe blue ruffles down the front :) Another is that it has so many adorable animals on it! For my final look of the evening, I selected a nail polish hunt prize since our fingertips deserve some love too ♥. As you can see, there are multiple similar designs among the nails, with more sakura or cherry blossoms appearing on the index and middle fingers. I really like the teal background for the pink of the flowers, and there is a satin finish rather than a high gloss which accentuates the artwork. 

I can't tell if this week is going slowly or quickly, since at different points today it has seemed like both. My arm is almost completely better from the injection discomfort, and I don't have a particularly high pain tolerance so this isn't just being brave or anything. I am going to my parents' for dinner tomorrow instead of Friday because my dad has a radiation treatment Friday evening, apparently there have been scheduling issues and I do not mind adjusting our plans especially for something so important. We lost his father almost 30 years ago to the same type of cancer (prostate that spread) so extra caution is wise. He is 8 years younger now than his dad was when he passed away, and much healthier in general with a lifestyle geared towards staying that way. Fabulously Free

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I kept thinking about notices I had seen recently from FabFree that there were new group gifts, so I went on an adventure to find some to share. The FabFree group is free to join and is the group for the Fabulously Free in SL blog, which I always credit as one of my longtime inspirations and guides in my second life to find free or affordable fashions. I may be wearing thousands of linden dollars worth of essentials (body, head, hair, skin, etc.) in any given look, but my clothing is usually something much more budget-friendly. I enjoy the balance since if everything were expensive I would probably wear the same look for ages, but if everything were free I might not have the versatility (BOM, popular body size, Omega compatibility) that enables me to blog from a wide range of designers. My first stop was AmAzInG CrEaTiOnS, where I scooped up this Undergarment Sexy Mini Dress 15 gift. Winter Fest

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we take a trip to Winter Fest, where you can find seasonal offerings for sale as well as gifts at nearly all of the displays. No group is needed for the gifts, just visit and give each one a click :) You will find clothing for men and women, along with some home decor gifts that can either be used for the holidays or perhaps year round. There are so many talented designers here, so it is a great opportunity to find something special for whatever holidays you are celebrating this month.

First I slipped into the Aurora Sky Designs gift of Womens Snowflake PJs, which are a single piece linked together so you can wear them easily. It comes in eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. The deep red color is one of the season's most popular, and for good reason!

Another irresistible Winter Fest gift is the Jenny Sweater Outfit from Tastic. The sweater and jeans are each provided in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions, and there is a HUD with 8 color choices for our sweater. However it did not work for me (the color squares were not clickable) at the time, so I am only showing the pretty blue it came in. I am still having some strange glitches in SL like textures generally taking a very long time to load, so I cannot tell if the HUD will work for you or not. It looks great in blue so I am not disappointed, I can tell you that much :)

SWEET SERENITY DESIGNS has a very feminine gift waiting for us, their Alaura Dress Maitreya Aqua. I think the name sums it up very nicely, telling us what that gorgeous color is as well as the size it is provided in, and I will happily wear this year round although I think spring will be my favorite time of year for it. Those delicate tiers of eyelet lace make me happy, and I'm sure I have a necklace (or several) with similar colored gemstones I can wear with this. 

I am also grateful for the Just4Fun gift, their J4F Judith Dress Red. It has a plunging neckline both front and back, leading to a skin tight mini skirt for an elegant yet sexy style. The gift includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, all in that terrific red and black combination that really catches the eye.

My final look of the evening is the revealing Winter Morning Negligee by COVETED!. Hooray for the weekend! I had a nice visit with my parents (and a yummy dinner) and was quite entertained by the antics of their 2 cockatiels. They do not talk even though tiels are very capable of mimicking human speech, but they express themselves nonetheless and were flying around chirping to try to get us to put their cage where they wanted it. Also they wanted a snack :) My mom gets organic tortilla chips for them, although the humans enjoy them too of course.
