Halloween Sales Event

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are headed to the Halloween Sales 2021 event, organized by 35L Sundays. Their free group is Synergy Shopping, and if you join that you can claim a few dozen wonderful gifts while you visit. We get to save lots of money on the sales items and then receive free treats, so it was at the top of my to-do list :) The area is decorated perfectly for this spooky time of year, so you might find yourself shivering with fear and delight! We can claim the group gifts by clicking the carved pumpkin wrapped in a black ribbon at each display.

My first look of the evening is the .:S&B:. Dress Dayna black, a little black dress that is far from basic. It is provided in 3 standard and 3 fitmesh sizes (S, M, L each) for classic avatars, as well as sizing for Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. This pumpkin needs us to right click and pay $1L which is immediately refunded while the gift is delivered. A couple of others are like this, but most distribute a folder with your gift inside just by clicking them. My guess is that the payment registers the gift in their vendor system, so you will be able to get it redelivered if necessary in the future.

Uncontrollably has two pumpkins at their display that each distributes a gift, and I am enjoying their GIFT *UNC - GIRLS* Rebel Romper - Sugar Skull here. It comes in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions, with a 4 color HUD. All of the colors have a solid black top and the same sugar skull image embossed on the front, very pretty!

Another terrific choice for Halloween is our gift from Paper.Sparrow called Plaid Bats Bonnie Outfit. Its cropped sweater and extra short shorts are each included in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. The knit texture is bewitchingly batty ;)

Next I slipped into the gorgeous .Viki. Ariel Dress which is their group gift for the event. This full length gown with small train and intricate scales texture comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a HUD with 5 choices, each a stunning ombre with multiple vibrant colors. I feel like a glamorous mermaid in this beauty!

My final look this evening combines two gifts that I think work really well together. The dress is the Batty Back Straps Mini Dress by COVETED! which comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. The bats are perfect for the season, as are the orange and black color combination. I really like the unique straps in the back that lead to the side cutouts for fun flashes of skin. Our gift from On A Lark is the lovely *OAL* Rune Necklace ~ Home which I am wearing in black, although it comes in male and female versions each in brown and black. The double stranded necklace is a wonderful style, and the accent beads really draw attention to the rune pendant.

Exploring More Around The Grid

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am back with some more Around The Grid in 80 Days Hunt 9 prizes, all of which are either $1L if you find the hidden one or $25L if you prefer to purchase it from near the hunt sign in each store. We are looking for orange starfish as the hunt object, which can be disguised in some very clever ways :) I am always impressed by the quality of hunt prizes that would normally cost much more than what we are paying for them, and relish the opportunity to look around both familiar stores and ones that are new to me while I'm on the hunt path. This path lasts until the end of September, so you have plenty of time to enjoy!

My first look this evening is the .:S&B:. Salsa Micro Mini Dress Risk, which has a flirtatious secret. It comes in standard sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body versions. The risky secret is that the zipper in the front is mirrored by the one in the rear, which reveals a brief wedge of bum cheek. The dress has sheer lace accents with hearts embroidered on it, which is an extra detail I can definitely get behind ;)

Many of us include beach scenery or somewhere with a pool in our travel itinerary, so it is very handy to have a sweet swimsuit prize like the one from Starlight Apparel. This is their .{SA}. Marva Queen Bikini, a two piece whose top and thong bottom are each included in sizes for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The fabric has a few different colors and styles of crowns on a soft pink background, just right for any queen.

Another great warm weather option is the Read Me Swim W prize from ::REA:: which is one of two prizes hiding there. The other is a pair of coordinated male swim trunks, so be sure to follow the correct hint to find the one that matches your avatar :) This one piece swimsuit has playful straps that would leave some interesting tan lines in RL, LOL, and is provided in two standard sizes (S, L) for classic avatars plus eBody, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body versions. There is also a HUD with 6 fun textures that match the "read me" concept quite well.

Boho Soul is a relatively new store in SL, and I am very excited to meet them with this (BSB) Leafy - All Colors prize. There is a men's gift inside the same starfish, so be sure to help your male friends find this one as well :) The dress has a flirty opening at the waist in the front, and a tulip style skirt that I adore. It comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizing, with a 6 color HUD so you can change the look if you wish. They are all soft pastel shades, so I found it tricky to choose a favorite!

For my final look this evening, I found the starfish at Park Place Casuals and claimed their Jody Travel Outfit. This charming set includes the tank top and leggings/shirt each sized for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The keds (sneakers) fit Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Slink, and Tonic flat feet. There is also a set of standard sizes packed separately inside, so be sure to unpack that to wear with classic avatars. 

Hair note of the night: I am wearing the newest release from Truth Hair, called Trinket, which I picked up in the Essentials pack for a wide range of colors. Its bangs (fringe) are a separate piece so you can leave them off if you wish, and the stylist tab on any color HUD offers the ability to wear each side behind or in front of your shoulder. As much as I love curls and waves, this sleek style really caught my attention! Also noteworthy is that there is a brief sale going on at the Truth mainstore, so you can save 50% on everything except giftcards if you visit before the 7th. 

It is such a weirdly busy week for me, and now I have an appointment tomorrow to have blood drawn so I will be fasting for 12 hours starting pretty soon. Always fun, LOL, isn't it? I am morbidly curious to see how many tubes of blood it will take to do 3 pages worth of tests. In SL news, I am curious to see how the announcement about Linden Labs doing away with gachas will be affecting things since I do regularly visit events that are based solely on gachas. Most stores I visit have at least a few it seems, but if they are not legal in many countries then unfortunately I can see the need to eliminate them. We have until the end of the month to take advantage of the ones that currently exist, but reselling the prizes will still be allowed after that. I am trying to look at it as part of life (second or first) that things change and evolve over time, and I've dealt with stores and events (like my beloved Wash Cart Sale) closing, so I will adjust to this too. Beauty Event Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the May/June round of the Beauty Sales Event, which is open until the 11th of June and is their first anniversary round. This means there are lots of generous gifts for their group members, and the extra good news is that their group is free to join. When you arrive you will probably receive a message from a greeter with an invitation to join, and they will also tell you that there are exclusive offers and $77L special selections from each designer. There are two full rooms with the second room having a small upstairs area, which makes for over 100 participating stores! I am certainly a fan, and eager to show you a sampling of the celebratory gifts this evening which are mostly found in black gift boxes with pale golden ribbons. If you left-click one that says not for sale, just right click - touch and you will still be able to receive the contents. 

My first look is our group gift from Infinite called Leather Dress - CHOCOLATE. Its side slits and back are laced up loosely to reveal some skin beneath, and the color really does have a rich chocolatey tone to it. The dress comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. 

For this look I combined two gifts that were clearly meant to be worn together, found at different displays. They are the Maccini - Pisa Top - Avocado - v1.0 and the same style Pisa Shorts. Each is provided in Belleza, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, with Legacy Perky and Maitreya Petite versions of the top too. They have a cute pattern of cheerful avocadoes with pink heart-shaped pits, and the shorts are trimmed in matching pink. Be sure to visit both Maccini displays to complete this look. 

.:S&B:. has a lovely strapless dress named Minita as our gift, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, and even one standard fitted version for classic avatars. The lilac colored mini is decorated with flowers, and white trim at each hem, for beautiful effect. I think the neckline trim helps draw attention to the other gift I've added here, the Corvus : Melodies Tattoo Bom. As you can tell from the name, this body art comes in a system/BOM layer so you can wear it with classic avatars or any BOM-compatible mesh body. It reads "I like beautiful melodies telling me terrible things" which is very thought provoking. 

I was still on a purple kick when I slipped into this Helena Suit 20 gift from [[Good Girl]]. Its fluttery top and low slung shorts are each provided in Legacy and Maitreya sizing with Perky and Petite versions for the shirt, all gently tied with loose bows. The texture looks like a soft knit fabric, very snuggly and comfortable.

For my final look of the evening, I chose to provide a closer look at the nails I've been enjoying throughout these photos :) They are the [LERONSO] Mesh stiletto nails "Wildflowers" gift, and as you can see they are much longer than most mesh bodies' default nails and taper to a thin sharp point. The gift includes sizes for Belleza, eBody, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Slink, and Star bodies, with a 6 color HUD to change the look of these stunning nails. The design of pressed flowers looks great in any of the color options, and since they change all at once I took two images and combined them to show you more than just one hue. 

It was a windy, rainy weekend with much cooler temperatures than typical for my area, but I stayed inside the whole time and worked on resting and recuperating. I am feeling mostly better, with a still irritated throat that could be from allergies but fewer headaches which is always a relief. I am looking forward to the new week and soon a new month, which always brings excitement to SL with rounds of hunts and events. My Funny Valentine

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have another February hunt to explore, the My Funny Valentine Hunt. The prizes are $1L if you locate them by following the hint on the website, or you can opt to purchase for $25L at the hunt sign in the store if you prefer not to hunt. Either way, these prizes are deeply discounted from what their full cost would be, and quality worth seeking out :) We are looking for pink puffy hearts with an image on the front that you can also see on the hunt signs, a couple beneath a tree. It is a sweet, romantic little heart that I enjoyed looking for, and exploring the various shops is always an adventure since I never know what I will see. 

My first look is the ZFG prize called VAL LOVE, a hot mini dress with long sleeves and sexy heart shaped cutout. It comes in sizes for Alice, eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite mesh bodies. I really do feel like this style and color scheme will work well any time of year, not just February. 

I am enamored with the Juliet Tapered Hem Dress prize from Park Place Casuals! It is a beautiful lavender color with delicate floral pattern, and that hemline is simply stunning. The prize includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. 

Our prize from Hardcore Clothing is their VALENTINES NEWS DRESS, and I will say that the name works well as part of the hint :) Another helpful tidbit is a reminder that many things in SL with doors will open if you click them, and that makes for interesting hiding spots. The dress is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, and has a solid black bodice with patterned skirt that has various words with hearts and arrows adorning it. I would say it does in fact remind me of a newspaper, only more cheerful and no smudges from touching newsprint ;)

I also found the heart at RIISE, and happily claimed their Diana Prom Dress - Edition 1 from it. The style would have been too revealing for my Catholic school prom all those years ago, LOL, but I can think of plenty of events and places to wear it in SL. The gown comes in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique body sizing. There is also a HUD provided with 8 color choices, so it is as versatile as it is lovely. 

My final look this evening comes from ..::S&B::.. and is called Studded Leather Tube Dress red. This sexy strapless number hugs every curve and highlights some of them with silvery studs. Weekend Wishes

Hiya everyone! Tonight we are back to the Apparel tab of the Stay at Home Club website, so we can select some fashions to wear this weekend and beyond. This collection of generous designers continues to grow, and some of them have even provided additional gifts as the time for staying at home lengthens. The situation out there may be scary, but I am so grateful that SL has a fantastic community of people who are willing to support each other and provide comfort. My teeny tiny part in all of this is to help spread the word, and let all of you see how much I enjoy these thoughtful gifts :) Of course I am also sharing the details so you can join me, a thought that definitely makes me smile.

We start casual with the gift from **Soju** which is called Stay at Home Couple Hoodies, consisting of mens' and womens' versions of a hooded sweatshirt with kangaroo pocket. The female version has a slightly different shade of green, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. (The male sizes are Belleza Jake, Signature Gianni, and Slink) Both versions say "everything will be ok" across the front, surrounded by cheerful embroidery like a rainbow and flowers. You may remember that I shared two gifts recently from Kira Couture, well it turns out they have added a third treat for us! Hiya everyone! Tonight I am back with more Womenstuff Hunt 2019 prizes, all of which are either $0L or $1L (designer's choice) and hidden inside red and white t-shirts. The website will guide you with hints and landmarks, and even information on if the prize is one of the many exclusives created just for this hunt. There are so many treats to find (over 100 stores participating, a few with multiple prizes) that it is good to have the entire month to find them all. As for my admittedly random title tonight, I ♥ Bon Jovi and the song was in my head, a simple enough reason.

First we have the $1L prize from BWC called Garden Dress. It has ruffles draped diagonally in a way that really accentuates the bust, and livens up the simple sleeveless mini style. Yesterday was too chaotic for me to blog, but I am happy to be back in the saddle so to speak :) I am also still pondering the Game of Thrones finale, there were parts I liked and parts I didn't so I am not really on the bandwagon of hating that seems prominent online. I do think this season felt rushed, and am hoping GRRM gets those last two books out someday to see how differently he intended things. I'm trying to keep this spoiler-free, so I will say the outcome of creatures became as important to me as the humans, and I'm glad one got a very happy ending. Wednesday Womenstuff

Hiya everyone! Tonight we continue to dive into the Womenstuff Hunt 2018, and peek at several prizes that are either $0L or $1L and hidden in white t-shirts with red heels decorating them. The hunt runs until the end of the month, so there is plenty of time to track down all those cleverly disguised treats.

My first look of the evening is the free prize from [Marquesse], their Peacock Top and Skirt. The top comes in sizes for Altamura, Eve Pulpy, Eve Slim, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP, while the skirt is included in Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions. It is a very flirty style, and the rear right pocket says Peacock in lovely embroidery.

Cats n' Kittens Boutique has a terrific reward for all who find their free t-shirt too, their CnK - 24 Hour Boho Style dress. Not only does it come in multiple mesh sizes (Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique) but it also includes a HUD that lets you pick from 8 textures, all different colors like the two seen above. I love the plunging neckline and the bare back, and how it is all held in place by those pretty double straps.

There is something so delightful about a jumpsuit, easy to wear and to dress up or feel casual. Above I am enjoying the Sasheba's Closet prize called .:S.C:. Jumpsuit- Timeless - Fatpack 3 HUDs, and each of the 3 texture HUDs referenced in the name offer 10 choices for the top, mid, pant, or entire jumpsuit at once. You can get really creative with them, or keep things simple, it's all up to you. The jumpsuit itself comes plenty of mesh sizes: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. 

Next we visit Robot Dolly, where there is a $1L prize I couldn't wait to slip into, their Tullia Yoga Pants Outfit. It includes the bra, pants, and add-on for the waist (separate so you can wear with or without the fishnet section) in sizes for standard, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. 

For my final look of the evening, I paired two prizes from our hunt. The dress is from .:S&B:. and is simply named Womenstuff Hunt Nov 2018. For just $1L you can claim this striking wrap dress in standard mesh sizes plus versions for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. To pick up the blue color in the paisley print, I accessorized with the free prize from Captivated! called Amanda Earrings/Necklace Moonstone. The blue stones are set in intricate gold that also reflects one of the colors in the dress, but you can wear this jewelry set with just about any outfit in your wardrobe.

It was a good day, mostly because I finally voted and feel like I did something important that hopefully can benefit everyone, as long as enough people joined me. My personal life is undergoing some changes, I would say scheduling changes would be the best description, but it shouldn't affect my blogging much if at all. Once Upon a Midnight Dreary...

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more prizes to share from the Quoth The Raven Hunt, which is a $1L gridwide hunt with the option to purchase the prizes outright for $25L at the sign in each store if you choose not to hunt. We are searching for ravens, with the help of the hints on the website which is also our source for all SLurls. With the hunt being themed on Poe's The Raven poem, it was fun to choose the first few words of the poem as my post title tonight.

First we have the prize from Twistys Twistalicious Creations, their TTC Twistys Spidercrawl Dress. It comes in several colors (purple & orange shown above plus grey, pink, red, and white) each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. The style is very flirty with open sides held together by studded straps, and there is a special surprise regarding the spider pattern - they move! That's right, you can watch them skitter around on the animated fabric. 

S&B is offering a playful dress also decorated by arachnids, and with a bonus witchy hat to top things off. The dress comes in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, while the hat attaches to our chin and can be edited to adjust. You might notice tiny red dots on the dress, that would be from the spiders who have glowing red eyes to add to their spook factor.

I had to use my Photoshop modesty flowers tonight, LOL, for this very sexy lingerie set by Freya's Fashions. It is called FF Julia (Orange H'Ween QtR Hunt) and includes system layers as well as an applier HUD for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink. The bra and panties are delightful for this season or any time of year, and are wonderfully textured with detailed lace trim on the satiny fabric.

Next we have a charming outfit from Georg Bellic Design simply called Quoth the Raven Hunt, and it comes in two versions. They each come in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. The difference between V1 and V2 looks to be the cute witch image on the back, which is only found on V1. The second version is fully our classic orange plaid pattern.

For my final look of the evening, I'm enjoying the ladies' prize from Mishmash Fusion called ~*MF*~ Something True Gown - Nevermore. It has a fantastic pattern on the skirt with ravens and the word Nevermore among other images, and the corset-like strapless top in deepest black adds mystery. It comes in a standard size along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. There is a mens' prize included in the same raven too.
