S@BBiA Sweets

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are stopping by the S@BBiA store, where we can have fun and try our luck :) The store's group is free to join, and there are gifts in two spots (easels in the center, and wall on the right side) as well as lucky boards (group tag needed) towards the left behind the easels. There's a Guess & Win board next to the lucky boards, with 9 squares and one shows a photo of the prize. Click the blank you think is where the match is hidden, and you'll either get a sad face or a prize if you were fortunate enough to guess correctly. If you hang out and try long enough, you have a really good chance of winning up to 4 different prizes there. I'm showing a tiny bit of everything tonight, so buckle up!

My first look of the evening shows you the two most recent group gifts, the ones on the easels, which combine for a lovely full outfit. Their S@BBiA::Ruffle-trim Top & Midi Pleated Skirt consists of the two separates mentioned, each in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies. Then I added the S@BBiA::Caged Chunky Sandals, which will fit Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Slink flat feet with ease. Even more good news is that these are exclusive colors of new releases of theirs, still discounted as such between the two easels where you can find these treats. 

Today was a much cooler day in RL, so I'm not fretting over wearing long sleeves or a heavy fabric skirt here ;) This is our S@BBiA::Frill Top & Midi Skirt Gift, and we receive the top along with two versions of the skirt (one high waisted) all in a single mesh size that worked wonderfully with my Maitreya body here. There is an alpha layer included to help adjust your body if it isn't an automatic fit, as with most of their creations.

The S@BBiA::Back Ribbon Blouse Set Gift is effortlessly charming, thanks to the flowing lines and the fun ribbon hanging down the back of our blouse. The blouse and skirt are separates in a single mesh size with an alpha layer, so it can fit many different bodies. Even our pretty pumps are provided, in sizing for classic, Maitreya, and Slink flat feet. Their bows pull things together too by being a nod to the back bow, and the skirt is similar to the first gift I shared above but in a more creamy color with softer pleats.

Over at the Guess & Win board, I was lucky enough to claim their S@BBiA::Flamingo Dress to make my bird-loving heart go pitter-patter ♥. The leggy birds can appear on your choice of 3 colors via the enclosed HUD, while the dress is a single mesh size that can fit many different bodies if you use the enclosed alpha layer :) I didn't need it for the Maitreya, but I'm guessing I would if my shape were on the curvier side. 

I won my final look of the evening from one of the two lucky boards, so I was feeling extra fortunate! The S@BBiA::Zipper Dress & Hoodie is all one piece with the look of layers, and that single piece comes in one lone size as with many of these creations :) Of course we do have an alpha layer to make wearing it easier if you need to hide bits and pieces of your body, so you don't have to fiddle with the HUD for your body. The pert hoodie is such a playful touch, and the front view shows off zippers and pockets for visual interest. 

I enjoyed dinner at my parents', and I am still in the process of planning an outing for tomorrow. My weekend is looking busy, but at least I have relatively pleasant weather to look forward to :) I hope you all have a fantastic weekend ahead, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

S@BBiA Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it was about time to revisit S@BBiA, a charming store that is very generous to the members of their free group. That tag allows us to claim many group gifts, and there are 2 lucky boards as well as a Guess & Win board. You've probably seen these around SL, a large square with 9 smaller squares in a 3x3 grid with one flipped over to show the current prize. You click whichever other box you think is hiding the matching image, and if you win you get the prize for free but wrong guesses 🙁 tell you no with a frowny face. The Guess & Win board doesn't need the group tag, but I think the lucky boards do...confession, I didn't win either prize today, yet I still have loads of treats to share. 

I start out with the group gifts, which are in two easy-to-find locations in the store. This adorable S@BBiA::Open Shoulder Top & Denim Skirt is one of two gifts found on easels on each side of the new releases. That's pretty much right in front of you when you walk in the front door :) This top and skirt are each provided in a fitted mesh version along with Legacy, Maitreya, Mesh Body Classic, and Physics (Physique?) sizes. The knit texture on the top is so well done, and I'm a big fan of the styles of our top and the skirt.

The other easel holds this S@BBiA::String Tie Bikini (Gift) which is also waiting for us to claim it, just in time for swimsuit season! The top is laced up in the back to let the strands dangle down to the bottoms, which are also tied on each side with a little more crisscross action. Each piece fits Legacy, Maitreya, Mesh Body, and Physique bodies. The style is flattering and provides moderate coverage which isn't always easy to find in SL.

Look to the right side of the store and you'll see a display of previous group gifts, which is where I picked up this S@BBiA::GroupGift No 33 Ethnic Tunic Dress. It comes in a fitted version as well as S, M, and L sizes, with a handy alpha layer that helps ensure a nice fit even on BOM-compatible mesh bodies like mine. The different fabric patterns work really nicely together, don't they?

I spent a little time having fun with the Guess & Win board, and had better luck than I usually seem to :) For example, I won their S@BBiA::Cable Knit Dress Pink prize, which makes me want to hang out at a region with an autumn climate immediately! The dress and scarf are each provided in a single size, with a HUD that lets us select from 8 colors for the cuffs and trim. I feel so comfy just looking at it :)

For my final look this evening, I changed into another guess & win prize called S@BBiA::Stripe Dress. It comes in just one size with an alpha layer, and has the appearance of a blouse layered beneath a deep blue striped dress with pleated skirt. Definitely reminiscent of my school uniform many moons ago, so I get a bit of deja vu when I see this type of outfit. 

It was a challenging day, as my anxiety decided to come back extra strongly and prevent sleeping again. The problem is I'd weaned off one medication that was supposed to help, with the intention of starting a new one, but the new one would be over $400 a month so that is not happening. But my doctor hasn't replied to any calls or patient portal messages asking for an alternative, and it's been about a month so I am baffled and stuck. Until this, she had been very helpful and knowledgeable so I can't understand what is happening. I cannot handle being in a car when I'm like this, so I'm concerned about my Saturday farmers market plans too. Isn't it fun when our bodies decide to be rebellious? *eyeroll* Don't worry, I'm not looking for medical advice on here or anything, just explaining why I might not seem quite myself lately. Not much else to say here, other than I apologize if there are any typos or weirdly phrased sentences since thinking is hard during anxiety issues. Sweets From S@BBiA

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I wanted to do something different, so I visited S@BBiA for the first time in quite a while. I am so glad that I did, since I won some prizes from their Guess & Win board and one from their group-only lucky boards. Their group is free to join, so the several group gifts they offer are completely free as well. Tonight's post features a bit of everything I've mentioned, a fun little sampler platter so to speak :) You will see that S@BBiA's style is casual and relatively modest, simple looks to brighten your second life. 

My first look of the evening is the S@BBiA::Flamingo Dress which is a Guess & Win board prize. You've probably seen these around SL, a square board with boxes that one shows the prize you can win. Then you click one of the others to either reveal a matching prize or a frowny face if you didn't win. This one is 3 x 3 but I have seen some much bigger, so our odds are pretty good :) This lovely dress comes in a single fitted size that worked with my Maitreya body quite well, and a 3 texture HUD so we can choose a background color for our flamingo pattern. The belt with bow changes color too, in a preselected shade to complement the dress beautifully.

This Guess & Win prize is called S@BBiA::Geometric Sweater & Skirt, but it is worn as a single mesh piece with the look of two. The fitted size also worked with my Maitreya body, but there are alpha layers with all of these outfits so we can ensure the fit with classic or BOM compatible bodies. The HUD included with this look offers 2 colors for top and skirt individually, plus the ability to hide/show either piece in case you want to wear it with something else. 

Next I won this charming prize from one of the lucky boards next to the Guess & Win board. It is the S@BBiA::Coat Dress (Brown for LB) and comes in a single fitted version. The styling is very cozy, with cuffed sleeves and two breast pockets above the drawstring waist on this loose fitting dress. I find it very relaxing, like it would be a great choice to wear somewhere to unwind.

There are group gifts in two areas in the store, not too far from each other, and this beauty is the S@BBiA::Off Shoulder Dress from the wall to the right when we enter the front door. It comes in a fitted size and a Physique version, with alpha layers which I did use in this case, and there is also a HUD with both colors seen above. I love the softly pleated skirt, and the bare shoulders to balance things out :) This feels like a summer evening dress, or maybe early fall when the weather can turn breezy in a heartbeat. 

Speaking of summer, what better way to enjoy this time of year than with the S@BBiA::Ring Bikini group gift? This one is on an easel immediately ahead when you enter the store, and there is another gift on a nearby easel too so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. This playful two piece swimsuit is provided in sizes for Legacy, Mesh Body Classic, Maitreya, and Physique bodies. The solid color of the bottom matches the floral pattern up top perfectly, and I appreciate the similar rings on both pieces to really tie the look together.

Wednesday Variety

Hiya everyone! I have a few different goodies to show you that I hope you enjoy. Variety is certainly the spice of Second Life :)

First we have an adorable mesh dress from Jinx and their Midnight Mania board, which rotates through various prizes each day. The name is Sophia in Minty, and it consists of a plain strapless dress and a lacy mesh layer with attached belt. You could wear just the simple base if you wanted something different. I love the pattern of the lace, and mint is such a pretty color :)

From the lucky boards at Rowena Springflower, we have the Calista Tweed Dress which comes with a HUD for 5 different deep color choices. What a great way to bring a bit of business dressing up to your second life, with the stunning buttons and sharp collar. With 6 lucky boards, 5 mini manias, and 2 midnight manias there, you're bound to wind up with some free goodies :)

Guess & Win Boards are great fun if you've got a few minutes to spare and feel like testing your luck. The one at Sin Original currently has this fun retro style dress as its prize, and I'm really enjoying the polka dots. The black and white is a really refined look.

How about a cute dollarbie hunt prize? This is from the For Her Hunt in which all the prizes (hidden in a cute anime girl hunt object) are $1L each, and this is the prize from Prism, a longtime well known SL designer who generously takes part in a large number of hunts. Aren't these colors great? This is called Brisa and the mesh top and skirt are separate pieces in standard sizes.

This photo is very exciting for me, as it features nails and eyeshadow that were provided for my review :) I've blogged alaskametro before for their monthly Facebook gifts, and now I am fortunate enough to have the chance to share with you some of the gorgeous things they have for sale at the anyBODY Round 7 event. My nails here and all the photos above are from their Tropics/Silver nails (also available in Gold), and a mere $25L will get you several types of HUDs (not just the Slink that I've used here, but also Omega, Maitreya and Eve) with 5 colors in each of 5 styles so 25 choices PLUS with mixing and matching that is a HUGE bargain! In the photo on the left, my hand all in blue is showing the variety of textures and the one on the right is showing the colors...Deep Sea, Turquoise, Pineapple, Coral, and Orchid. The eyeshadows are fantastic as well, I'm showing the tattoo layer for default avatar heads but there are appliers included as well, another very affordable $25L gets you 6 different varieties. I am wearing from left to right: Hibiscus, Peach/Atoll, and Twilight. Manias, Luck, and Good News!

Hiya everyone! I hope you're all having a good week so far. Mine is busy but I've got some goodies to share with you, let's jump right in...

This was another adorable Midnight Mania prize from Sugar Button Boutique, look at those sweet pandas in the print! I did have trouble with the alpha layer for the back view, the lacing wasn't visible until I tried the size Large which is 2 up from my normal. I had to show you the gorgeous bows back there though :) The front view is the Small. I might need to try a different shape or try tweaking my own to wear this more effectively, but it's worth it!!

From Sugar Button Boutique's lucky chairs, of which there are 4 in front of the Midnight Mania, I got this cute mini dress with the amazing graphic. It's called Beauty or Beast, and it actually took me a second glance to notice why. That graceful swan paired with the noble wolf, this is an image with impact and I love it.

More luck was found at Shanti Bohemian, this lovely sundress is from their Guess & Win board. You know those ones with the 9 squares and you click the one you think is hiding the matching picture? It took a lot of guessing but I was glad to finally win this cutie. The colors are terrific for the season, as well as the style.

Last but certainly not least, remember the good news I mentioned in the title? Blah.BLAH.blah is back!!! The store had closed a few months ago because the designer Lyric Derrith was having major health problems, but fortunately she is recovering well and decided to reopen. Great news, both that she's doing better and that we can find her fantastic clothing in-world again :) So the above photo shows 3 of the 5 colors of her new group gift (free to join) called Sugar halter and skirt. They are a single mesh piece, all the usual sizes in each color variety. From left to right are blue, yellow, and stripes; not shown are black and sky. Nails note: I visited a store called Yuzuya because of their lucky board, and found 3 completely free gifts of Slink nail HUDS on the wall of gifts, along with other freebies like bags and sushi. Very worth it to visit, and you could win the nails on the lucky board which I haven't managed yet ;)
