Swank Winter Wonderland

Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to invite you to the last few days of the SWANK event and its Winter Wonderland round. It is open until the 30th, and if you join the free SWANK group you will be able to claim dozens and dozens of free gifts. I have been very impressed with this event and the generosity of the participating designers, and I want to mention that there are several gifts for men as well as the usual ladies' treats so everyone has a chance to find something new that they love. 

My first look of the evening is the gift from The Best Of Me called ::T.B.O.M.::X-Mas Mini Dress With Belt. The strapless mini is trimmed in lush white fur, and comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. There is also a HUD provided with 3 texture choices, the two shown above and another seasonal beauty with a red background. 

Speaking of red, I love the vibrant shade of this Camille Dress - Red gift from Blackstone. It has a deep V neckline and leg-of-mutton style sleeves that are puffy at the top but close fitting from the elbow down. The gift includes sizes for Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, with a 4 metal HUD for the zipper in the rear. This classic look will look terrific any time of year!

If you need a casual look this winter, be sure to claim the ladies' gifts from Hawker's House. Next we go from casual to formal with the AnaSTyle - Evanescence Black1 Bare back gown gift. It really caught my eye with the golden line art against the stark black satin fabric, and the mermaid shape is a winner too :) This gift includes standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body versions. It doesn't really need much in the way of accessories, but I would probably stick with simple gold pieces of jewelry if I added anything, and either black or gold heels. 

My final look this evening is one of several gifts from Brii Underground, this one being their **BIANCA V4 WINTER STYLE COMPLET OUTFIT**. We start with the cozy coat trimmed in fur and lace, in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. Then we continue with mid-calf slouch boots in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique. We can certainly use an alpha layer or body's HUD to hide feet that aren't fitting into one of those sizes though :) There is an Omega applier for the fishnet pantyhose I am wearing here too, as well as (not shown) an applier for makeup that was created for the Catwa head. 

Another holiday has come and gone, and I mostly enjoyed mine, as I hope you all did too :) Time seems to fly lately in large chunks, even if individual days or weeks feel like an eternity...wasn't I just posting last year's Advent gifts a month or two ago? LOL! This year was not much of an improvement over 2020 in general, so once again I am crossing my fingers that 2022 will be the one to feel positive and happier. I am still listening to Christmas music tonight, as I will probably do until the first day or two of the new year. 13Event Feels Lucky

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some more group gifts from the -13Event- to show you, ranging from casual to downright sexy. There are over 50 total gifts for the free group, as nearly every participating designer is helping them celebrate the first round of this new event. Look for a gift box at each display, both inside and outside the main building along both sides of the walkway to the building. There is even a demo area to the right when you land and are facing the building, and I saw a few gifts over there as well. With a nice mix of familiar creators and ones who are new to me, I am certainly excited to see more of this event in the future!

My first look of the evening is a fun sporty outfit from .:Beyond:. called Aliseda - Black. Its layered tank top and shapely pants are each provided in Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite body sizing, with a HUD that offers 10 colors each for the top layer (10 solid and 10 fishnet), strip1, strip2, and strip3. Click a few to see what area reacts to each column of buttons. The waistband is one of the strips, the two down the side of both legs are another, and the back really resembles a heart which is a playful touch.

When it's time to get dressed up, you might want to slip into the **JANE LYNCH PINK FASHION STYLE COMPLET OUTFIT** gift from Brii Underground. It is such a cheery bold color, and I love having shoes to match a dress that might otherwise be tricky to find a close pairing. Both the dress and heels come in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies/feet. 

If your upcoming plans involve a beach or pool, the :::VIRGINIA::: BIKINI FLOWERS gift is the perfect choice to wear. Speaking of panties, my final look of the evening is a gorgeous bra and panties set from SLC. Their Gift June 2021 Lingerie BOM Lussia has system/BOM layers that are compatible with any BOM mesh bodies and easy to wear on classic avatars too. The texturing is exquisite, with satiny bows and lace trim on our string bikini panties and delicately crafted bra. I always appreciate having such beautiful lingerie to wear beneath my favorite outerwear.

More Beauty-ful Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we have another batch of generous group gifts for the Beauty Event first anniversary celebration. They are found in black gift boxes with golden ribbon, and a few said "not for sale" when left clicked so I had to right click and "touch" to claim them. There are over 100 participating designers with specially priced $77L selections, and most have gifts for us to claim with the event's free group tag active. We have over a week remaining since it is open until the 11th of June, so if you find yourself trying to decide what to do on a slow midweek day or evening I highly recommend stopping by. 

Brii Underground is known for their dazzling full outfits, like this generous gift called **DANA V2 BLACK NIGHT STYLE COMPLET OUTFIT. We start with the bustier top and pencil skirt, each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. Then we get to accessorize with the heels in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High versions, along with sunglasses, bracelets, and necklace with built in resize scripts for a perfect fit. 

This striking look is the GINGER gold gift from *ASIA*. The top and skirt are linked together to be worn at once, as the socks and shoes are one piece as well. Each is provided in sizing for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The texture has a geometric design on it that I initially mistook as lace, but a closer look corrected my first impression :) It works really well with the design of the shoes. The clothing has a sheen that reminds me of latex and reacts quite a bit to ambient light in your environment. 

There is something so charming about a floral patterned dress, and this *P* Danika Mesh Dress ~roses~ gift from Phoebe adds the wonderful detail of a single bare shoulder contrasted by a ruffled strap. It is included in a standard version for classic avatars, plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. The roses in various shades of pink, purple, and yellow are so pretty!

Next we have the CYN SPORTS SET Set which is the gift from Luna Chelsea. The tank top and shorts each come in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Kupra, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. There is also a handy HUD included with 5 colors for our polka dotted top, and 5 colors each with a few sayings in the circle on the lower right of the shorts: Babygirl, Queen, Diva, or Sexy AF. As seen on the right above, you can change the colors independently if you wish to mix things up.

Those shorts came in handy for my last look of the evening as well, where I slipped into a different shirt, the gift from TRS Designs. Their TOP LACE PINK comes in eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya sizing, and has an open weave that shows flirty flashes of skin. Think of the possibilities, all the pants or skirts you can wear it with!

This magpie's nest is feeling a bit warm tonight, and it looks like the temperature outside will be slowly rising all week. Summer is clearly ready to arrive, but am I ready for it? The changing fashions in SL are always fun though, and I have a strong ceiling fan that will help keep things cool in here :) Tomorrow I have a chiropractor appointment that is much needed, although the 15-20 minutes of heat on my neck and back to start every visit is probably going to be less welcome. Free Dove Variety

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are heading to The Free Dove, which is always a terrific place to find a wide range of free gifts that you can claim with your free "Blessed by a Dove" group tag. I am delighted that the monthly mini-hunts have returned to The Free Dove, but also wanted to remind you that there are plenty of gifts that we don't even have to search around to find :) All of tonight's looks are from a Womens Casual display, where several different designers have offerings to make us look wonderful for free. I really appreciate the generosity of the fashion creators and of the owner/organizer, Palomma, who has been helping new and longtime residents alike for an impressively long time with The Free Dove. 

My first look is courtesy of YoUnique Couture and is their Holiday Free Dove Gift. The tank and pants are each included in a fitmesh M for classic avatars as well as sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous bodies. The tank top says "Let your Light Shine" and has the appearance of a bra layered beneath it, complete with straps peeking out. The pants have a casual feeling with the elastic waistband and short cuffed pant legs. 

Next I changed into the bold gift from Brii Underground, called **MAEONI ROCKER STYLE COMPLET OUTFIT. It starts with the jacket and shorts that each come in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, with boots in the same set of sizes. Then we get to accessorize this look with sunglasses, earrings, stockings on an Omega applier and (not shown) even makeup that is an Omega applier. We can wear everything together or just the pieces that appeal to us the most, depending on mood and personal tastes. 

I also claimed the Elegance Boutique gift which is a feminine outfit with edgy hardware. Their Jumpsuit- Ivory - "Petty" comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, with an 8 color HUD for the spikes that also has the ability to turn them on or off. You can really see them from that side view! I think it looks beautiful either way.

Gigi Vox is also offering an eye-catching gift for Free Dove group members, called Anki 0819. This sleek dress has a peekaboo waist opening and deep V neckline, and is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. There is a HUD with 10 texture choices (5 solid colors and 5 patterns) so you can change the look, and there is an applier HUD for Omega and Maitreya with 17 colors of panties to add a touch of modesty beneath. The gift even includes a body light to show off the materials enabled nature of the dress. I looked like I was at a rave, or maybe I was the rave :) Since it rotated colors it would not have shown up well in a still image, but I do recommend trying it on to see it. 

For my final look of the evening I chose the gift from TRS Designs called Tara Dress Zebra Red. This beauty comes in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body versions. The dark zebra stripes are a fun contrast to the crimson of the skirt, adding up to a perfect look for a casual outing. I just might wear this while scouting out something special for tomorrow's post :)

SLFO Group Goodies

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it occurred to me that it had been quite a while since I explored the group gifts for the SLFO group, so that is precisely what I did. The group's initials stand for SL Frees & Offers, and their aim is to provide information about sales, events, and freebies throughout Second Life. Many participating designers offer free group gifts for the SLFO members, several of which I have found and will be showing you this evening :) Sometimes that is a challenge since stores seem to move fairly often, and I teleported into at least 3 wrong locations today, LOL...imagine thinking you are landing in a clothing store but instead appear at a nude beach! Even more of a problem is landing in someone's private home, so I am grateful that didn't happen this time. Don't worry, I have double checked the links in my ending credits to make sure you will wind up in the correct store. These generous gifts are certainly worth the effort, and I am grateful for each and every one.

I started at ALB, where I eagerly claimed their gift called BREE gown heels jewels. This gift includes the catsuit base in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink appliers, and continues with two flexi skirts (both seen on the left, skirt 2 only on the right) and a generous helping of accessories. The heels come in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high sizing, and the additional pieces of this look are two necklaces, earrings, armbands for each arm, a belt with flowers, a thigh band, and not shown are a headband and a ring for the left hand. Asteria is ready to brighten your day with a group gift too, this one called "Alecia" Top&Skirt - Fatpack. The 7 colors include black (top left), brown, damson (top right), lagoon (skirt left), navy, purple (skirt right), and red. I am wearing silver versions on the left, gold on the right, and loving all the potentials here :) The top looks like it was trimmed out of a biker jacket, and both pieces are wonderfully detailed in any color.

This slightly see-through dress is very short and trimmed with lace at the hem, so I would even consider layering pants of some sort beneath for modesty if the occasion calls for it. Oh my goodness, what a weird day...I kept feeling like I had forgotten to do something, and unfortunately I was right. It was a follow-up blood test, nothing too serious but I should have had it done right away instead of waiting until a week before my next appointment with the family doctor. So that is my plan tomorrow, I am scheduled for an afternoon blood draw, then Wednesday I go to a totally different doctor to have my toenails trimmed and ingrown nails taken care of. From head to toe, this week is about routine maintenance I guess ;) At least the blood results will be ready before I visit that doctor next week, and we can reevaluate and adjust any meds as needed. Swank Winter Wonderland

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features several gifts you can find at the SWANK Event, which is celebrating its Winter Wonderland round with plenty of special offers and gachas. Another great way to celebrate a holiday is with presents of course, and you will find a large Christmas tree in each of the 4 corners of the event with presents beneath them all. Most are set for the free Swank VIP group, while a few are for sale for $0L so anyone can pick them up. I am simply referring to all of them as group gifts to make things simpler :) The generosity of these designers is truly heartwarming, and you will find mens and womens clothing in addition to decorations and home/garden goodies beneath these trees. Let's take a look at some of the many treats to be found!

My first look this evening is an elegant gown from Hawker's House called *HH* Ladies Mesh Cuy Satin Gown. It is provided in a fitmesh version for classic avatars as well as sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. The layers of embossed satin look so pretty with that striking contrast of palest pink and black, and the dropped sleeve straps are a fun touch just like the modest train in the rear. 

This lovely look is the gift from Brii Underground, their Bianca V4 Winter Style Complet Outfit. The coat dress comes in eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions, while the coordinating boots are sized for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique. Sometimes our winter wardrobe needs a burst of color, and the gift from (BYRNE) will give us two. It is their Festive Sweater Dress for Maitreya mesh bodies, and comes in Berry and Teal versions. I am enjoying the playful pattern and the warm cowl neckline, and with that short of a hemline I am thinking that some stockings or leggings beneath would look pretty too. 

While unpacking the bounty of gifts I claimed, I realized there were two from [ZEX] so we owe them double the gratitude :) This flirty mini is their Gal- Corset dress with lace / White, and it is a sheer delight in every sense. My final look of the night is the [ZEX] Kary Mini Dress gift, which will be a terrific addition to any wardrobe. There is also a HUD provided with 7 dress colors and 14 choices for the sheer skirt overlay, similar colors but varying patterns. You may have noticed that I accessorized this look, that would be with the necklace from Heartsdale Jewellery called [HJ] Cherubim Necklace. There are male and female sized versions included, and each has a built in resize script you can access just by clicking your jewelry. From a distance it looks like a cross, but close up it more resembles a sword in a sheath with wings, very intriguing! 

Sunday was a calm day here, and it is the day I do a pesky weekly chore that I am always relieved to be done with for the week. The weather is getting colder, which makes sense when snow is on the way in a few days. I Have a Secret

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am spilling some Dirty Little Secrets, thanks to the latest round of the hunt by that very name. There are a $1L female path and $1L male path, as well as a $25L path, all of which have impressive prizes hiding inside antique styled black and red keys. The DLS11 hunt started last week and is open until the 25th of November, and their website will guide you with hints and locations. This is the only kind of secret I enjoy sharing.

The female $1L path prize at GoodVibes is called Classroom, and as you can see it is a seductive complete outfit. The sweater, skirt, and heels with built in socks are each provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The tie is also included, with a resize script that you can activate by clicking it to adjust to any shape or size. 

Another full outfit can be found in the key at MELANGE!NC., their =Kiss Me Dahhhling= prize. It starts with the jacket in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions, then continues with the bra and shorts in system/BOM layers along with Omega appliers. It took me an embarrassingly long time to notice what is tucked into the low slung belt of the shorts (also attached), and I will just say that as responsible adults we should be using protection. I just hope the belt doesn't damage it ;)

My final look this evening is the prize from ROA, and it is full of possibilities. Their lovely Sadie Dress comes in two versions, one with ties (seen on the left above) that match the color of the main dress, and the other with golden chains instead to hold things in place. Each is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a handy HUD with 8 color choices, so you can change the look even more with just a few simple clicks. I appreciate that the style covers everything needed, yet is teasingly short and revealing.

This day feels like it has been extra long for some reason, not in a bad way but just that time is crawling again. There were important things that I got done and I am glad for, but I still feel like I am forgetting something and there is more to be done. With a new month, there are new hunts and events to explore which is always exciting, and I am looking forward to sharing plenty of goodies from them.  Hiya everyone! Tonight we are exploring some FabFree group gifts, which is the inworld presence of the Fabulously Free in SL blog. It was not a completely random choice on my part, but because I had recently seen that a group gift was added to the list that is Halloween themed so the timing seemed right. I have been grateful to FabFree since my earliest days in SL (2007) since they have always provided helpful information about freebies, sales, special events and much more. Their group will always have a place among my precious group slots :) There are so many participating designers who offer gifts especially for the FabFree group members, just wear your "I am Fabulous" group tag to each store and look for the rainbow striped FabFree sign.

My first stop was Brii Underground, where among the many gifts for various groups, I found this lovely Mayda Blue Version Loisirs Style Complet. Thanks to some quick googling, I now know that loisirs is French for leisure, which makes sense for a casually charming outfit. The dress is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with matching heels in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High fits. Included but not shown is an Omega applier of makeup designed for Catwa heads, so if your mesh head is compatible with Omega it is worth a try.

As promised, next we have a gift that is ideal for this time of year from *MIRUS* called Bat Blouse. This cropped knit top has purple and black stripes accented by bats, and is included in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Venus, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique body sizing. Third Life Treats

Hiya everyone! Tonight I will be showing you some group gifts available for the Third Life group, which has a small $10L fee to join to keep us safe from spammers and scammers. There are many participating designers who have gifts set up at their stores for us, and I really enjoy visiting stores that are new to me or that I haven't stopped by in a while. This group has some impressive designers, as you will see :)

My first look this evening comes from LRS Creations, their Diva Jumpsuit B. This skintight halter style jumpsuit includes system/BOM layers as well as appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and TMP. So whether you're a classic avatar fan, or wear a mesh body that is BOM compatible, or are currently using appliers for your mesh body, there is an option for you. Speaking of options, there are 5 colors to choose from too...I am showing the Green on the left and Pink on the right, with the other colors being Black, Blue, and Red. The lace inset of the bodice is a sheer one, so be sure to keep that in mind when deciding where to wear this.

This is certainly a different look for me, yet I am a fan! It is the gift from Brii Underground called Mirtes Punk Rock Style Complet Outfit, and it is very thorough with clothing and accessories. The sweater and skirt each come in 5 classic sizes and 5 fitmesh sizes for classic avatars, as well as versions for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. The gloves and pantyhose can each be found inside as system/BOM layers plus Omega appliers, and the aviator sunglasses and high top sneakers are unrigged with resize scripts built in so they are fully adjustable. It may be hard to read because of the lighting, but the back of the sweater reads "Rocker". There is even an Omega applier (not shown) of makeup, so you can even dress up your face to match if you wish.

LEIGH has a seductive treat for us, their beautiful Desired Dress Sequins Gift. It is quite versatile, since it comes in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP bodies. Even more handy is the HUD provided, which has 2 colors plus buttons to adjust the transparency and glow. I added a bit of glow on the left (2%) to highlight those sequins, and added some transparency to the right. I highly recommend playing with these to find the look that suits you best.

Let the sun shine with the Tayla Set from ToG Store! As you can see, it can be worn in a sunny yellow with 2 other options, as the included HUD has all 3 color choices for the top and/or skirt. Mix and match and have fun! The dress itself comes in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The tulip skirt makes me think of flowers blooming in spring and summer too.

It was another stormy day, and somehow not even left over from the tropical storm. It is just going to be like this for a few weeks it seems, but as long as we don't get heavy winds it should be fine. Tomorrow I will have lots more food, thanks to the farmers market I enjoy each Saturday, which makes it less painful that all the food in my fridge had to be discarded from the power outage.
