Kustom9 Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to stop by the Kustom9 Event, who are celebrating their 10th anniversary which is absolutely a celebration-worthy accomplishment :) And in typical anniversary or birthday fashion for SL, we are all able to claim plenty of free gifts to help honor their special occasion. Their group is free to join, and its tag allows us to click all the gift boxes we see at most of the displays this round. I had lots of fun selecting a random handful of treats to share, with a couple that are Halloween themed and others that suit any time of year equally. We have until the 10th of November to complete our shopping, so pick up demos and have a good time!

My first look is the gift from Astralia called Sophia Tee (Spooky Special). It comes in sizing for eBody Reborn, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, and has a great layered look with "Spooky Season" on the front in stylized lettering. The ghosts for the O's in spooky really caught my attention, but they are all charming :) The layers add terrific visual interest too, like the bright orange hem and neckline, and those stunning sleeve stripes.

Next I changed into the lovely Palette - Miya Top [Kustom9 Birthday Exclusive] treat that I also picked up for free with that group tag. The vivid pink color is fantastic, and looks very flattering on the cropped tank top with slender straps. We receive Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy sizes, along with a HUD offering 4 metals for the sliders in the front where the straps are made to look adjustable. Unlike RL bra styled tops though, we never need to go through that hassle ;) 

Wearing the CryBunBun - Cutiepie Top - Halloween earned me a compliment the other day, so I am especially fond of this playful cropped tank. There are sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, Reborn Rolls, Reborn Juicy, Reborn Juicy Rolls, Reborn Mounds, Reborn Waifu, and Reborn Waifu Rolls (whew!) included, so you can make lots of your favorite body mods look festive this season. I think the gathered front with the two bows caught my eye the most, and there is a smaller bow with longer tails. Is that the right word for those longer parts of a bow? I'm sure you get the idea :) Also noteworthy, I am wearing the white pair of Delizio jeans from their wonderful fatpack that is free on the marketplace, in all 3 of the photos so far. They have BOM layers and appliers for Maitreya and Omega in each color, so they are very handy to have.

Seniha. is offering their lovely Alizon Set // Black as a gift for all Kustom9 group members this round. The strapless dress comes in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite sizes, and can be worn with or without the matching blouse that fits Legacy and Maitreya. The blouse is very much like a shrug, long puffy sleeves and high neck but ending well above the bodice. I'm almost tempted to wear it with some of the tops I've already shared tonight!

For my final look of the evening, I changed into the Apple Blossom // Birdy No. 7 gift in a glowy neon hue. There are two versions in each size - Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite - with one being marked (nm), but I have to admit that I could not find the difference between them. I'm sure it's something simple that my tired brain could not locate, lol, but they both have a sheer boned bodice decorated with flowers, and solid full skirt that has a flirty short hem. I've always noticed their offerings at various events and have been quite impressed :)

It was a decent day here, and I'm still watching hockey because today was the NHL's "Frozen Frenzy" where all 32 teams play in the same day. It is an unusual concept to be honest, as there are lots of overlaps and now a game that started after 11 PM my time which is also the local time for the visiting team (8 PM for the hosting team). I saw people online who were very excited and wishing they will do it again, so perhaps it is a success for the NHL after all :) I hope you're all having a blissful day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Boo! Bunny Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood for some gridwide hunting, and the Boo! Bunny Hunt 13 happily fulfilled my craving. We are looking for a small piece of candy in an orange and green striped wrapper, with an example featured on their website so you know what to keep an eye out for. That is also where we'll find our landmarks, hints, and preview images where available, but some stores have the hint on their sign as well if you click the candy attached. All of these fantastic prizes are just $1L each, and you know your girl here is an experienced bargain hunter in SL and RL ;) So naturally I needed to share these finds with all of you too, because this magpie loves to find treasures (shinies!) but is also a generous soul who wants to spread the word about how you can claim your own seasonal goodies. I'm also excited that it's the lucky 13th round of this hunt, so thirteen years of finding affordable treats for Halloween and beyond.

My first look is from the creator who also organizes the Evil Bunny Hunts, so of course I was inspired to give them top billing here ;) This is the Grumble-Skulltastic dress, a fascinatingly crafted skintight mini dress with cutouts that make it look like a bra beneath an overalls style dress. There are sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Prima Busty, Reborn, and Reborn Waifu mesh bodies. I was immediately drawn to the bright colors that pop so beautifully against the black background, with skulls and mushrooms plus a sprinkling of stardust. I thought of it as Goth Lisa Frank and snorted while drinking coffee, somehow making myself laugh even more...

I also visited Indigenous to pick up their piece of candy, which gave me this clever Ooze Dress prize for just $1L. It has a charming draped neckline that leads to a deep scoop in the back beneath crossed straps, in sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Peach, Reborn, and Reborn Waifu mesh bodies. The skulls in reaper robes have a special secret to share, as the fabric is materials enabled (advanced lighting material) so blood drips and splatters are visible in the light. I've got some lamps near me in my skybox where I took these photos, so you can see the dark red showing up on my left (image right) both front and back. 

My next stop was Emerald Couture, home to many generous gifts (group gifts, lucky chairs, midnight manias, etc.) and hunt prizes like this EC Bona Lisa Dress Orange. The skulls somehow remind me of Jason masks but also a damask fabric like you might find on their year-round fashions, with the orange and black being perfect for Halloween season. The prize includes 5 standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body versions. There are sheer sections on the midriff both front and back, and the slender straps cross in the back but are hiding beneath my hair. Who knew that spooky and sexy could combine so well?

Emi's Attic is one of those stores who've been on my radar for several years now as a talented and generous designer with clothing that suits my personal style very well. So you'd better believe I hightailed it over there to find this candy and claim their Trick O' Tee Trio prize! There are three versions of the tube dress with detached looking sleeves (they are technically attached, linked) each in sizing for Freya, Gen X, Kupra, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a bonus pair of BOM black knit panties. I'm absolutely going to lounge around the house in this as is, but add either jeans or a long skirt to go out in, depending on my mood or where we might be headed. 

My final look of the evening gives me the opportunity to tell you about a rebranding from ZFG (Zero F*cks Given) to their new name, nope. They might have had another name before that but it's currently escaping me, my apologies for the brain fart :) This hilarious cropped hoodie is called sass horror - scholarship, and that front reads "going to hell on full scholarship" which resonates with me quite a bit lately. The sleeves both have a fun stitched pattern that I initially mistook for bones, so we'll chalk that up to having Halloween on my mind, and there is a pert hood hanging down the back beneath my hair. The panties from our Emi's Attic prize came in handy, but I'm sure you have several items in your inventory that you can wear beneath this like jeans, leggings, or skirts in just about any color. How you do suppose we apply for that scholarship, an essay? Because obviously I enjoy writing...and wait, is there usually tuition? Do we have to pay for our horns and demon tails, and do we automatically get stuck with a roommate who would annoy us the most? Wow, the questions I have now!

Whew, this is a really busy season for blogging! I heard about at least 3 more events in the past 24 hours, which is wonderful but I wasn't quite done with the ones that I'd already known about ;) October and December are usually the busiest times in SL for events and hunts, with February being up there thanks to all the hearts and cupids. I'd rather have too many possibilities than not enough though, so this is all said with love and gratitude for the amazing designers and hunt/event organizers in SL who keep us busy. Shop and Hop Gilded

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post brings more Halloween Shop & Hop treats, all of which can be found in the Gilded region. That is one of 16 regions that are part of this shopping extravaganza, each home to 20 displays from some of SL's best and brightest designers :) Discounted merchandise abounds, as do generous gifts at every booth. I am always tickled pink to share these, and we have almost 2 weeks left of this round because it is open until the 5th of November. Lots of the gift cards or store credit offered at I'd guess at least a dozen stops will expire on that date too, so be sure to visit those mainstores and pick out your own treats with them. Meanwhile I'm still unpacking the amazing gifts! *NOTE* I feel like I should warn you that photo 5, my last one in the post, has a spider on my face so if you might be disturbed by that please scroll past that last look. I am not fond of spiders in RL but somehow in SL they don't seem to bother me, yet I know that some of you might not want to look at them in any form. 

For my first look tonight I slipped into the cozy neve gift - salem shop n hop 23 shirt. It has a layered appearance with solid tee over longer sleeves, in sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn bodies. The real magic (yep, pun intended lol) is found on the HUD, with 4 colors for the shirt and 4 striped textures we can choose to apply to the sleeves (which default to solid white whenever a main shirt color is clicked) to mix and match. There are also options to hide the long sleeve layer, or crop the shirt as I did on the right for a bit of peek-a-boob ;) The front reads "Salem Broom Co. the finest in enchanted transportation est. 1692" with some lovely swirls and a pentagram as part of the design. Recently an online friend mentioned to me that she was supposed to go to Salem this past weekend, but her plans were changed at the last minute so I am wondering hopefully if she will be able to reschedule that fascinating journey. I've never been to Massachusetts but it sounds like a wonderful place to visit.

KiB Designs certainly brings the wicked sex appeal with their The Devil in I =GIFT= FATPACK! It is a vivid halter dress with a choker type collar and nipple piercings worn on the outside, and of course a devilish tail wound around the waist. There are sizes for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies, with a HUD offering 5 texture choices and 3 metals for the hardware. The tail changes with the texture you select, all of which are black and/or red in various combinations. To really show off your inner demon, you could also add the headband with horns which is provided in versions with or without glow. 

Next we take a look at the Kaithleen's Tinka Dress - Smoke dress, a tantalizingly translucent strapless dress with diagonal hemline adorned with ruffles. We receive eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy mesh body sizes, along with a HUD that lets us select from 20 colors for the trim. That trim would be the edging on the neckline and both solid and sheer ruffles down below, all tinted at once for a cohesive look. The sheerness of the main dress is a real showstopper, so you might want to add some BOM undies if this is too revealing for your intended destination.

Celestina's Weddings has a jaw-dropping gift for us called .:(CW):. Scarlett Star Gown - Black, but as you can see it is more than simply a gown :) That is provided in sizing for Freya, Isis, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, with sparkly earrings and handheld clutches in black (shown) and dove. The bouquet I'm holding on the right above is included too, with the holding pose you're seeing on that side. The daisies are a very romantic look that really pop against the contrast of the black gown, and that daring side slit of the gown is sure to make hearts race whenever you wear it.

My final look of the night is the spooky Kris Tattoo - HALLOWEEN TATTOO LeL EvoX - BOM #3 gift. It is an intricately detailed spider who seems to be a black widow based on the red marking, perched above my lips like a beauty mark ;) I'm impressed by the shadowing that gives a 3D effect to the legs, and I am intrigued by the beauty of the elegant but deadly creature depicted. Her location almost makes it look like I'm more likely to eat her than the other way around, not that I'm feeling peckish for arachnids...there are many traditional foods waiting for us at Shop & Hop as gifts instead :)

Hair note of the night - I was very fortunate to win a fatpack of the Lamb hairstyle released at Tres Chic this round called Pearl ♥. As you can see, there are bangs and a sweet bow in the back, with a few styling options and several colors for the bow. I entered on their flickr post and it seems lady luck was on my side, as I received the full pack with a message from the designer letting me know. I'm really glad I entered and am grateful to Lamb for offering a few of us such a thoughtful prize!

This weekend felt slow and fast at the same time somehow, like how is that even possible? LOL, despite that weirdness it was fine, mostly quiet, and feeling like typical autumn weather. I hope you all enjoyed yours and are having a pleasant day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Colorful Candyland Confections

Hiya everyone! Tonight we make one more visit to the Candyland 2 event, as I have even more group gifts found there to share with all of you. Just wear your free Evil Bunny Hunts group tag, and click all the gift bags you see to receive a bounty of treats. The event's theme is grownup candyland, all things sugary, sweet, sexy, and edible. All designers are offering a deeply discounted (25-50%) exclusive item that matches the theme, so be sure to take a peek at those so you don't miss out on something tasty. The event is open until the 24th, so you have several days remaining to stop on by.

First we see a sampling from the generous MadCatCreations gift, the full fatpack of their Spring Patchwork Tunics. There are 6 varieties (smiles on the left above, sun on the right, blues, hearts, pink, and purple) each packed up with sizes for Altamura, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. I found the vibrant colors and patterns to be very cheery, so especially helpful. 

Next we have a flirty gift from Mishmash Fusion, called ~*MF*~ Confess Mini Dress - Candy Stripe. The chocolate brown bow, straps, and hemline ruffle really accentuate the sweet stripes nicely.

I was also very impressed by the Indigenous gift called Mucho Candy Dress, featuring a colorful image of hard candies that look really delicious :) Our gift comes in sizes for Altamura, Eve Pulpy, Eve Slim, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. I love the frilled long sleeves and straps across the back so our shoulders and some of our back is revealed, and the hem is fairly brief too so our legs look so long!

Bring on more colors! This top is the group gift from BLASPHEMIC and is called Candy Shirt, and yes that does say "I'm Just Here for the CANDY". It comes in sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Venus mesh bodies. The neon green trim made me smile, and because of the multicolored text of the word candy I decided to pair it with the Aurora's Closet Bijou Belly Chain Rainbow. It has a double chain linked with a small hoop, and the front of each has different colored teardrop shaped charms that you can see closer in the inset. The gift consists of sizes for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies, so you will get a perfect fit for your favorite body. My jeans are from the Delizio marketplace freebie that appears here fairly often, many colors of jeans (this is the light blue) in system/BOM layers plus appliers for Maitreya and Omega. 

For my final look of the evening, I chose the gift from LUNA Body Art, their Gradients Nails. It has been another day filled with updates about businesses that are closing temporarily, and a few more reports of new cases of the virus in my county, so not pleasant but still important knowledge. I realize that things must get worse before they get better, so I am trying to accept the reality and focus on the future when things start to improve again. Candyland 2 - Electric Boogaloo

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am trying to keep the mood light with my weird title, and just in general :) As you can tell from the title, I will be sharing another batch of group gifts found at the Candyland 2 event, for the Evil Bunny Hunt group which is free to join. As for the event itself, it is a grownup candyland featuring all things sugary, sweet, sexy, and edible. There are exclusive offers matching the theme at each display for 25-50% off, in addition to all these fantastic gifts from the generous and creative designers. 

This first gift comes from the Emerald Couture display, and is their EC Cotton Candy Party Dress. It comes in 5 standard sizes and 3 fitmesh classic sizes, plus versions for Maitreya and Slink Physique bodies. The cute strappy sandals are also provided, sized for Belleza, Maitreya, Slink Flat, and TMP feet. The colors are certainly sweet, and I love the mix of speckled and watercolor textures.

Next we take a look at the OMG! Inc. Chest Bow Strapless Dress, which you can claim for free with the Evil Bunny Hunts group tag. It comes in standard fitmesh sizes as well as Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions, all with a HUD offering 14 color choices. There are solids and patterns among them, and each option has a coordinated bow selected for it.

Our gift from anny's Fashion made me smile, both because of the name and since it is a lovely outfit. This is their Gene PickledCucumber Elegant Jumpsuit, which comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. The velvety green shade is quite flattering, and the style has a really flirty top and nearly bare back. 

I also picked up this ::BQ::LittleFlower Dress:: Gift from BLONDEQUEEN. Its cream color is a nice backdrop for the teal floral pattern, which feels retro to me which could be from the color scheme. It comes in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions, and has delicate spaghetti straps plus a fluttery hemline.

There are a few gifts to decorate our nails with, so for my final look of the evening I chose this StunnerOriginals treat called Bento Nails Mesh Candy. It consists of Maitreya and Slink versions, just hide the nails built in to your mesh hands with their HUD and add the respective mesh nails. There is also a HUD with 3 chocolaty designs that apply to all nails at once, so I took two different pictures to compose the above photo with 2 of the 3 designs. They look just like a box of fancy chocolates, so fun!

I think I have spent too much time reading about the virus today, because now I am feeling achy and slightly feverish (without having left the house, no known exposure) but my temperature is within a healthy range. I think I made myself paranoid, and what I am feeling is more likely to be anxiety-related than anything else. Regardless, I am trying to focus on my blog and my usual routine to see if that soothes my nerves. On the right I am enjoying the Sweet Intoxication gift called Aina Shirt - Ultramarine which is knotted loosely beneath the wide open neckline. This treat includes standard sizing plus versions for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. Because of the curves of my Hourglass body, this top is a little extra revealing, so you can always layer an applier/BOM bra beneath for added modesty.

Next I changed into the zOOm - Dropped Top, a flirty wisp of fabric draped across the breasts and tied with slender straps at the neck and back. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with a HUD offering 8 choices. There are 4 different colors, each as a solid and a subtly patterned texture. 

The confections continue with the {Melt} Sweet One Camisk, a daring frock with the word "SWEET" emblazoned across the front of the skirt. It includes Small and Large classic sizes, as well as eBody, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions. There is also a HUD provided, with 6 textures which are various colors in diagonal stripes.

The gift from LMagnums is their Mesh Lexi Bikini - Floral Purple, and wow is it sexy! The bow at the back of the neck is made of more material than the rest of the bathing suit put together I think ;) The suit is a single mesh piece in 5 classic sizes plus 5 fitmesh standard sizes, along with Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions.

For my final look of the evening, I am wearing the Dore Papillon Boutique group gift called DPB Lillys Lingerie - Baby Blue. The satin and lace nightie and a matching pair of panties are each included in Freya, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing, all in that lovely pastel shade of blue. 

There is not much new to report here, as I did not leave the house and will not be doing so for the foreseeable future. More local businesses are closing temporarily, or adjusting to pickup orders only, and I agree with their decisions but hope it can sustain them financially. Please support your local businesses if you can, in any way possible, so their dreams can live on. There is not much I can say that I haven't already, as I try to remain positive and urge all of you to do the same. Sweet Treats from Candyland 2

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am excited to tell you about the Candyland 2 event. It is open until the 24th of March, and is a grown up candyland so it features all things sugary, sweet, sexy, and edible. Each participating designer is offering a themed exclusive item for 25-50% off, and nearly all have a group gift available for the Evil Bunny Hunt group which is free to join. Those are what I will be showing you this evening :) I was very impressed by these gifts, and naturally am pleased to show you as many as possible.

We start with the gift from Love Lace Designs, their ::LL:: Candy Queen // Cake dress. It has ruffles on the top of each slender strap, and a fun drip design like soft icing. The gift includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies.

Another flirty gift can be found at the [Ari-Pari] display, called Ayana Outfit - Pink Mix. It consists of the top, skirt, and a V-string (covers the crotch but no strings at all) each in sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The vibrant pink trim really brings out the floral pattern, and the asymmetrical hem on the skirt is also very eye-catching.

You can take a break from all the pink with the gift from Changed Seasons named Anoma. It has a layered appearance of a sweater and mini skirt, but all in one easy-to-wear piece sized for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique. The soft peach and tan colors made me think of caramel and milk chocolate, mostly from seeing all the candy themed goodies at the event of course. 

If you want to feel like a fairy princess, check out the Dark Intentions gift called DI: Princess Corset and Tutu - Pink. In addition to the pale pink ruffles and gold bows, the pinstriped top layer has a pattern of golden tiaras to reinforce your princess status. For my final look of the evening, I chose two gifts to wear together. Sorry I am slow tonight, but there have been a lot of distractions going on. There are now 2 cases of the virus in my small town (about 18,000 people), so it is way too close to home and I must admit that makes me feel more anxiety about it all. I am staying home as much as possible, rescheduling my chiropractor appointment that was supposed to be this coming Thursday just to be extra safe. Really the only time I will go out is to my parents' for dinner on Fridays (less than a mile away), unless one of us starts to feel ill at all of course. Most things can be delivered, and I have an appropriate supply of food, paper products, etc. without being excessive about anything. I still feel like we are all living in some weird nightmare, but I also trust that things will get better again eventually.
