Hiya everyone! Tonight I will begin showing you some of the wonderful prizes from the Twisted Hunt, whose round for the entire month of September is themed Inferno. This can refer to the work of Dante, or simply a raging fire, so the designers have let their creativity shine for our prizes. This is billed as the hardest hunt in SL for good reason, and I love it even when it frustrates me ;) I do recommend looking over their website before you begin if you are new to the Twisted hunt, and I can summarize the basics by saying the hunt object is a spinning cube (this round in a fire-edged texture) and is within 30m of the landing spot at each store. There are up to 10 decoys visible at each stop, and I definitely urge you not to try using wireframe to see through the walls because there are sometimes hundreds hiding in there to discourage that method. If you see an easel with a Twisted Extras sign on it, please click it to see what it has for you...the notecard it offers could hold a hint, information about a side hunt, details of gachas and special sales exclusive to the hunt, or any combination thereof. You can join the group and ask *politely* for a hint in group chat by store name and #, you'll find some great people there! Okay it's time to delve into the treats I have claimed, hope you enjoy as much as I do.
My first look is from Secrets of Gaia, the second stop on the hunt path and the same sim as the hunt headquarters. Their cube holds two styles of the same dress for us, as Persephone had a dual role as goddess of harvest & fertility and the queen of the underworld. The dresses are in fact called Persephone Spring Goddess Tunic (left) and Persephone Queen of the Underworld (on the right), each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique. The style partially reveals one breast as you can see, so I chose to obscure a bit with a black flower in Photoshop, that is not part of the dress at all. I suggest if you want to wear this somewhere and need to be covered up, you could layer a pair of pasties beneath it. The toughest part is choosing which version to wear first!
Sn@tch has a fun tradition of side hunts, so you will not only be searching for the main cube when you arrive there, but you can find 6 additional free gifts inside glowing red flames throughout their store. Flame #4 contains my look above, Sn@tch Danger Lingerie in Red. It is provided in system layers along with an Omega applier, with a pretty bra and panties set both adorned with red ruffles and black bows. The stockings are a dramatic nearly opaque black, just right for this attention grabbing set.
The sixth flame at Sn@tch holds their gorgeous Bernadette Gown in Red for you, with daring lacing in the front and a modest train in the back, with a brocade type embossed texture all over. It is included in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions.
When you find the right cube at Arcadia, you will be able to claim their free gift called Inferno Legionnaire Gown, seen above. It comes in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique,and a standard version, all featuring that sexy slit on the left leg all the way up and some really intriguing stitch work.
My final look of the evening is the female prize from Moonlitecat Creations, their MLCC Persephone Dress Inferno. It is provided in what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes: 5 standard, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. The flames are a striking addition to the alluring style, and you probably guessed from the fact that I specified the female prize means that there is a male prize as well. That is hiding in a separate cube, so keep on exploring within that 30 meter radius from where you land.
My day was fairly stressful, with challenges like my microwave finally giving up the ghost while I was trying to use it. No idea when I'll be able to replace it, but it was almost 18 years old so it was long past its expected lifespan apparently. I use it every single day too, so that is oddly impressive. Hiya everyone! Tonight we begin to explore the hardest gridwide hunt in SL, the biannual tradition that is the Twisted Hunt. Their Spring 2018 round runs throughout March with the theme of Atlantis, and our cubes are blue and gold so you can expect lots of aquatic beauty along our hunt path. I strongly suggest looking over their website so you can be prepared if this is your first adventure with the Twisted hunt, and I will sum it up by saying that it is extremely challenging but well worth the effort. The group (free to join) can be very useful, and when asked politely they will provide hints if available. There can be up to 10 visible decoys at each stop in addition to the cube that actually holds the prize/s, and if there is a Twisted easel at a store you'll definitely want to click it for the notecard it contains. Those sometimes offer hints, as well as info about side hunts, sales, gachas, and anything else hunt related. I am still slowly working my way through the hunt path, with Xan's invaluable help and support (he keeps me from getting too frustrated) and as with all hunts, I do recommend teamwork if possible as long as you avoid communicating in local chat and spoiling anything for anyone else who may prefer a solo effort.
My first look is our prize from :{MV}: called Poseidon Gown, and it has a plunging neckline with deep bare back, and ocean waves across the hem. The prize includes a standard fitted version plus sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique.
Roped Passions has this striking gown hiding in their twisted cube, along with a gift for the men, who are not excluded from this hunt by any means. This is the (RP) Sea Sorceress Outfit, in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. With the elegant keyhole back and the dramatic front slit, this barely needs any jewelry (simple earrings or a bracelet perhaps) to shine.
If the watery themes make you want to head for a beach or pool, be sure to pick up the prize at Arcadia first so you can wear this Halcyone Outfit. It consists of the sarong and top each in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizes. The lace is rather sheer, so I would suggest a bikini bottom (or solid material panties) layered beneath for modesty, depending on where you are wearing it.
Another fun stop on the hunt path is Grey's Mind Maze, whose Mermaids Song to a Fairy outfit can be seen here. The top and shorts are each provided in standard mesh sizing, along with the lovely wings and a long prim skirt (not shown) in a paler color with a resize script built in. I really enjoyed the use of the cube's texture on the wings and belt here, and the little swirls on the shirt.
Since the Atlantis of our theme has its roots in Greek mythology, it is very fitting that Little 2 Large chose to offer this lovely Atlantis Toga Dress as their side hunt (maze) prize. The main prize located in the store itself is a set of ruins, and the maze can be reached by clicking the teleport pad outside the front door of the store. It took me quite a while to work my way through, but I am clearly glad I did so. The toga is provided in what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes: 5 standard, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. Be sure to check the lucky chairs and midnight manias upstairs for more Twisted goodies!
Well, today was the type of day that if you didn't need to go outside, it was best to just stay indoors and warm. We got about 6" of snow in my neighborhood, and the roads might not be cleared until Friday at this rate. Since I have plans for Friday, I have my fingers crossed that everything is fine by then. Hiya everyone! As the weekend comes to a close, I have more prizes to share from the Twisted Hunt. This round seems particularly tricky to me, so be prepared for a challenge :) It's good to know that the prizes are worth the effort though, isn't it? I have a few more goodies to show you all tonight, main prizes and mini hunts, so enjoy!
First up is this very sexy Grecian Camisk from #31 Arcadia. Find the cube and you'll receive this beauty in standard mesh sizes, with its lovely white trim and gold Greek key design. It looks amazing from the back too, as you can see.
When you find the cube at #39 Enchantment!, you can claim your copy of their Nemaine dress in our stunning theme colors. This is another gift with that Greek key design adorning it, and another with a terrific rear view. I really enjoy the unique style with the hint of a collar and that fun train.
This prize from Dekute Dekore is actually one of their mini hunt gifts, as they have a main gift of decor and extras for males and females. Their gift for the gals is this toga (same mesh as one I showed yesterday) that drapes over one shoulder and around the hips very seductively. They have included a bra in system layers, almost a bandeau style, that matches the toga wonderfully. This is stop #41 in the hunt path.
My last prize for the night is this alluring Open Back Dress from ..elation.. called Touch of Gold. It is provided in many mesh sizes including 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. Like all the prizes tonight, this sure looks amazing from the back as well as the front! The theme colors of black and gold also prevail in prize #47 here.
My nail note of the night is the same as last night, selections from the main prize at #21 Tykhe from their "Twisted Gold" nail HUD for Slink. There are 5 designs to choose from and I am enjoying all of them.
Well, the peepers outside are singing their little froggie hearts out, and I am about to prepare for the week ahead by making sure I've got all my plans laid out for both RL and SL.
