Steam XX Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're checking out the Steam XX Hunt, a twentieth anniversary round which is themed The Waltz of the Automatons. We are looking for a small gear or cog, an example of which you'll find on the hunt signs at each store which can be clicked for the hint. Some have it in hovertext so you don't even need to touch it :) Their website is a great guide too, with landmarks and some preview images of our free prizes. I've enjoyed so many Mieville Historical Hunts adventures over the years, so it's a pleasure to share their anniversary round with all of you. Be sure to check out the themed markets they mention on their website too for some fantastic shopping!

I start the evening with our K-Ks Designs Steamy in Pink prize, which is one of 3 treats inside their gear. There's also something for the men to wear, and a pair of goggles for all :) As for this portion, it starts with the dress in sizes for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Slink Physique, and a standard fitted version. Then we get to add the mask you see here, in pink and white to match the dress wonderfully. The strapless dress style makes me want to find a steampunk styled necklace in my inventory, and with how many of these hunts I've enjoyed previously I am certain that should be a cinch :)

Psyche's Pstyles Mechanical Dancer Dress & Key prize brings some delightful magic to the post, making me feel like I belong in a giant music box. The gilded strapless mini dress comes in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing, while the included key for the back rotates slowly to help wind us up for dancing. I do suggest peeking at the styling notecard inside for details on how the vendor image was created and accessorized, so creative!

:.C!L.: Boutique is the perfect place to be a part of this hunt since they do feature historical fashions as well as more modern ones. Their Patrice Steampunk Victorian SuitDress & Hat prize includes the one piece dress in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with the hat I'm wearing that has a resizer script built in. It never fails that I am usually wearing the wrong hairstyle for hats, LOL, but I'm sure you get the idea :) The deep green and gold coloring makes me think of St. Patrick's Day and spring in general.

Next I changed into the gorgeous TMD Smoldering Gown for Women which is one of 3 prizes inside the Thistle Moon Designs gear (Dinkie and TD & Bebe versions being the others). Our dress of flowing lava will fit eBody, Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Ocacin, Reborn, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The way the material pools in the front to look like the base of a volcano is such an eye-catching feature!

For my final look of the night, I am happily wearing the lovely Moonstar *V* Arabella Steampunk Suit and Shoes prize. The suit/gown comes in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, Ocacin, and Voluptuous mesh bodies, with matching shoes that fit Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Slink mid height feet. The shoes are like wingtips, black and white that match the clothing so nicely. I feel like I'm ready to solve an old fashioned mystery, after which I should certainly dance with the automatons ;)

We dug into Pokopia for longer than anticipated during my gaming night, lol, and that was after Hello Kitty Island Adventure and Animal Crossing New Horizons. All cozy games, nice and soothing, and my friends helped me unlock a new area to find more pokemon. It is so nice to just build their habitats and wait for them to show up, noi fighting or throwing balls at them, and I'm having fun trying to remember their names from my Pokemon Go days :) I'm watching another late night (West coast) hockey game, and this one still has more than half a period left so it will keep me distracted for a while yet. I'll be glad to see my parents tomorrow for dinner to check in on my dad, who is doing well but I am still prone to worrying. Renaissance Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm sharing some wonderful hunt prizes from the free gridwide Renaissance Hunt XIV from Mieville Historical Hunts. We're looking for a potion bottle with a purple pansy on top, which you can find an image of on the hunt's website along with landmarks. Most stores have hint givers on the hunt signs in their stores (the same hunt object you're looking for) and some even have paths on the ground to point you in the proper direction. Xan and I have always been avid hunters in SL, so I'm pretty sure we have done all or at least most of these fantastic hunts over the years :) Our theme this round is A Midsummer Night's Dream, and the designers did a terrific job as usual with it. We have until the 12th of October to pick up all the potion bottles and enjoy the hunt.

My first look is the amazing ~MystRie~ hunt prize called Fairy Queen Outfit. Its top and skirt are each provided in a fitmesh M size along with sizing for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies. The headpiece and wings are included as well, adjustable so you can get just the right placing and fit :) We can always wear the clothing without the accessories if we prefer, as the clothing is elegant on its own too.

I certainly do look (and feel!) magical in our Moonstar *V* Magic Pansy Dress prize. The floral patterned dress and matching mesh panties will both fit Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Lara X, Peach, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The golden flowers on the straps are stunning, and bring out the yellow tones in the pattern as well. The crisscrossed straps and layered skirt ruffles really catch the eye, and once again I feel like going dancing :) Weird coincidence, the song "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" is on my tv right now.

Another gasp-worthy prize is from the Meander pansy potion bottle, their M/M Judith Gown - Deep Red. I genuinely did gasp a little when I tried it on, lol, perhaps from seeing the long train, damask fabric, and attached belt that make this gown so luxurious! There are sizes included for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. I think I just need a crown with either rubies or garnets to reflect my (usually hidden) regal side.

Next I changed into the dazzling Alessia Dress & Belt HUNT by COVETED! prize. It has a rich embossed pattern and is delightful for the cooler weather with those long sleeves and full length skirt. We receive Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Legacy Petite, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes when we find their potion bottle. 

My final look of the evening is our TMD Chiton of the Night prize from Thistle Moon Designs. This treat is a combo of mesh and flexi, as the attached trailing scarf in the back is our flexi that flutters with every movement. There are sizes for standard mesh bodies as well as Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Slink, and Venus mesh bodies. I love the way the deep teal color is shadowed to show off the drape in the front and sides, and it looks like velvet so I want to touch it ;) This will definitely turn heads, and like all of these looks I'm infinitely grateful for the free hunt prizes.

It was a busy weekend, but I'd say mostly good :) I did get to the farmers market, and I'm really glad that food truck was there again because their offerings are delicious. The way there and the way back were hard with my anxiety, but I felt more comfortable while there than I had the other times I'd gone. It made for a reassuring therapy session earlier, that's for sure, and I have a support group meeting tomorrow evening for an extra boost. The weather is still summery, so I slathered on plenty of sunscreen Saturday, and it's the kind with zinc so it made me look even more ghostlike 👻. I'm already Victorian orphan pale, heh, so it's amusing to look in the mirror and see myself even paler. The next few days are the quiet before the storm in SL, because lots of events and hunts will be starting in October to keep me ridiculously busy. The Silk Road Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we head down The Silk Road, which is the name of a wonderful free hunt making its return to SL with the 2024 "On the Road Again" round. The Mieville Historical Hunts group is bringing this adventure our way, and we are searching for lanterns to light our way and give us our prizes when clicked :) The ones on the hunt signs have hints for us to help locate the gifts, so be sure to check those if you like a little guidance. The website offers all the landmarks and previews of some of the prizes, so it is handy to have open if you can. I'm finding myself crashing a lot lately and having external browsers open while in SL might not be helping, but it's the new update with PBR so it's got my system working harder than ever. I almost feel guilty suggesting you should have a website open while in SL, but if you use the internal one in Firestorm (which I never have so am very unfamiliar) that might be easier. This hunt is open until the 21st, so just over a week remaining to explore The Silk Road :)

My first look of the evening is the beautiful TMD Saree Zari Pink Set from Thistle Moon Designs. We receive the full outfit as one piece, as well as individual skirt, top, and wrap, each packaged with 3 fitmesh sizes (S, M, L) and sizing for Freya, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Reborn, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. This way we can choose to wear the entire ensemble at once or wear the individual pieces to mix and match. The bright colors add stunning appeal, as this treat is beautifully textured.

Another irresistible prize I am delighted to have found is the DANI Prishna Outfit SRH24 Prize. This outfit consists of the top, skirt, and shrug, each in Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes. As separates we can wear these in various ways, like on the right I removed the shrug for a more summery bare-shouldered appearance :) The golden embossing is just amazing, making the lowest tier of the skirt look like burnished liquid gold in motion. 

I really wanted to show off the Kittycat's Creations goodie for us, The Silk Road Tray v2, and this seemed like the perfect time since it kind of matches my outfit! The tray has a built in holding pose as shown, and there are 5 drinks upon it (cervoise, jiuguan baijiu, koji beer, koumiss, Midas touch ale) which Kitty has researched to be historically accurate from the Silk Road trade route and included a notecard about. I believe she said they are all beers. When you or anyone around you touches any of the drinks, it will distribute a mug to them which even emotes in local chat when worn :) I'm always captivated by the work and care that goes into their products, and you can see why. 

Find the lantern at Meander/Me and you'll receive your very own copy of M/M Kivah Dress FP HUD (Silk Road). This beauty is an embroidered silk mini dress with softly ruffled sleeves to match the hem, in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Freya V-Tech, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Maitreya V-Tech, Hourglass, Physique, and Star mesh bodies. There's also a HUD of course, with 10 lovely colors to choose from. It's easy to tell why I'm a fan, and I've been loving this brand since it was Lemania Indigo designs well over a decade ago.

My final look of the evening might be just right for your weekend plans, if those include a visit to a beach or pool :) It's the Violet Skies - Tropicana Bikini & Sarong prize, a gorgeous combo of bikini (one piece) and sarong so you can wear them both or slip out of the sarong whenever you see fit. Each piece fits Erika, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. There is a HUD provided as well, with 2 sarong textures and 20 colors for the gems, plus 5 metals for the setting of the gems. The lacy sarong texture on the left is more sheer than the one on the right, so it provides a little extra coverage if you wish. The intricate straps caught my eye as surely as the fun tropical print, and the gemstones are just a little extra decoration to emphasize that we are as precious as jewels.

Whew, thank goodness it's Friday! My day got off to a weird start and a lack of sleep, so I skipped dinner at my parents' (nausea and severe exhaustion do not make me a good dinner companion) and tried to relax in the heat. It went okay I suppose, as I am still here to tell the tale ;) Mostly I'd prefer to have my sleep less interrupted and being able to fall back to sleep sooner would have helped too. Sometimes the brain and body just don't cooperate, shrug. I have a busy week ahead so better now than in a few days I guess. Renaissance Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features several free prizes from the Renaissance Hunt 2022, whose theme is "Monsters, Myth & Magic - A Bestiary For the Ages". We are looking for small gargoyles, a sample of which is on the hunt sign at nearly every store to give you your hints, and the first stop has a shoulder pet version you can wear to help the hidden ones rez a little faster. There are a few mini hunts that I look forward to each round, as they are fascinating to explore and follow multiple hints to advance a storyline and pick up several gifts along the way. This particular hunt and its corresponding fair/event wrap up on the 25th, so be sure to get started soon :) So many free gifts, and so many terrific participating stores, it is definitely worth the time. The group (Historical Hunts) has a notecard in the group notices with all the landmarks, and they might be able to help you if you run into any difficulties.

Mountain Rose is one of the mini hunts I mentioned, a rich storyline with two paths (I followed both) and 7 thoughtful gifts in total. On the left above is the Mountain Rose Gift #5 - Lady Elf Gown, a full length dress in two shades of salmon pink. There are sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Maitreya, Ocacin, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous bodies plus a fitmesh M for classic avatars, with the resizable hat included as well. There is a coordinated teal outfit for the men too, among these generous prizes. On the right above I'm wearing the Mountain Rose Female Elf Warrior, which starts with the top in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous sizes. The leggings fit Freya, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, and Tonic Curvy bodies with a fitmesh M size for classic avatars too. Included but not shown are a pair of unrigged boots, which both defaulted to being attached to my right hand, LOL. I will eventually try to adjust them to my feet, but my neuropathy did not allow my hands to accomplish that one just yet ;) This outfit also has a corresponding male version, and I definitely relied on teamwork with Xan to complete this mini hunt so I'm glad he got some useful prizes as well. 

Next I changed into the stunning AdelleArts Renaissance Hunt Female Prize, where you will find a single gargoyle containing both male and female treats. This is their nymth dress which fits Isis, Hourglass, Maitreya, and Tonic mesh bodies, with the flower crown that we can adjust as needed. Included but not shown is a long flowing hairstyle in shiny black, which looks lovely with the flower crown but so did the hair I was already wearing ;) I certainly feel like a magical nature spirit!

KKs Designs has a delightful prize inside their gargoyle called Wood Elf. This unisex outfit consists of the top and pants in system/BOM layers along with an Omega applier, delicate wings, and flexi cape. We can wear the outfit with both, either one, or neither of those accessories if we wish, so this is a versatile little number :)

Another stop I always eagerly anticipate is Thistle Moon Designs, whose gargoyle holds 4 versions of their prize for a wide range of avatar types (female, male, rebirth, and child). This is the TMD Galvanic Womens Gown Red & Silver, a beautiful look that includes a standard fitmesh size for classic avatars, as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body sizing. The draped train adds some dramatic length in the back, and the wrapped styling means it reveals the lightning image on the front perfectly :) The men's suit has lightning on the vest, and the other types of dresses resemble the women's but without the draped portion. 

My final look this evening brought me to a new-to-me store called le glamouriste, to find two different gargoyles for this lovely dress and an herbal plant for my home. The dress is their Emelyne Ren Fair'22 Exclusive, with rich layers of a blouse, corset, and full skirt all worn as one piece. It is provided in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. The luxurious fabric has such a romantic feel to it, and I am tempted to wear the AdelleArts flower crown from the second photo above with this dress :) 

It was a quiet day here, and that suits me just fine. The weather was a little bit cooler, and by the end of the week it will be feeling much more like autumn than summer. I watched a little of Queen Elizabeth's funeral, and saw her corgis watching the procession go by...that was the part that hurt my heart the most. As an American I don't know much about the family, but 70 years is a long time to reign and I have sympathy for those she left behind who mourn her. Brass Menagerie and Spring Fling

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are exploring the Steam XVII Hunt - The Brass Menagerie, a free gridwide hunt with dozens of impressive prizes for us to enjoy. They are hiding inside golden gears, and you will find a picture of the hunt object on the website along with landmarks and previews of some of the gifts we can claim. Each store has a hunt poster with a gear that gives us a hint, either in hovertext or a notecard when you click it, which are very helpful in locating them especially the trickily hidden ones. I also have another exclusive offer to show you from the Spring Fling event, a sexy dress to liven up your seasonal wardrobe.

My first look is a hunt prize from the Storybook Cats Shop, one of my favorite spots to visit in these hunts because of the precious Kittycats roaming around. The prize is Steam Theme Tees, and the women's version seen here comes in a classic M size along with Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body versions. The soft blue knit texture is accentuated with fun steampunk images like the bird on the front and a well dressed lady riding a cool scooter. 

If you are feeling nautical, be sure to find the gear at Thistle Moon Designs so you can receive their TMD Let's Go Sailing Dress for Women. It is in the same gear as prizes in Rebirth, Toddleedoo, and Men's sizing. The women's starts with a peasant top in system/BOM layer and Omega applier, then continues with the skirt and jacket in standard mesh sizes plus a Maitreya version. The white stockings I'm wearing are also included, in system layers and an Omega applier just like the top. It is fun to be able to wear it in various ways, adding as many pieces as you wish.

My final look this evening comes from the HORL display at the Spring Fling event, and is their exclusive offer among several terrific choices for sale there. There is also a HUD provided with 10 textures, a mix of solids and patterns so you can change your look with ease. The style has a flirty crisscross top and gathered skirt, to show off our legs and every curve.

It was a very nice weekend here, with decent weather that made the Saturday farmers market extra enjoyable. Then I watched a hockey game this afternoon which was a bittersweet win after a big trade, since losing the team captain after all these years is rough. My stomach is uneasy tonight, probably a touch of anxiety about the ultrasound I'm having tomorrow to check on my liver. Ruling out problems is important, and I don't expect them to find anything troubling but I think my nerves are because of all the scar tissue and pain in my entire abdomen so it won't be comfortable. Several years ago I had multiple surgeries that led to a need for 2 large patches of mesh, so just think - I have mesh body parts in RL and SL ;) I hope you all had a beautiful weekend, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Steampunk Pirates

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we head down the Steam XVI Hunt, with a theme of Steampunk Pirates that sometimes becomes, well, steamy! This is a free gridwide hunt in which we are looking for gears, an example of which is found on each store's sign and as a bracelet at the first stop (its prize) to help them all rez faster. These historical hunts always have such interesting topics, and the designers who take part really go all out for our enjoyment. There are some mini hunts that plunge you into intricate storylines, which I always look forward to when these twice yearly hunts roll around :) In addition to the Steam Hunt, the same folks organize the Silk Road Hunts which Xan and I appreciate too. Off to adventure!

My first look is one of several prizes at **DSO** which suit women, men, and dinkies. This is their Kagan Gown - Steam 2021, sleekly styled in black satin with red decorations. It is provided in fitmesh standard sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body sizing. There is a fun image emblazoned on the back, and I thought I took a photo of it but I guess I didn't save it (oops!) so I apologize for that, but you can see it in the preview images on the hunt site. 

My next look is the charming TMD Enfin la Vapeur Women Copper prize from Thistle Moon Designs. They also have several versions in their gear to suit male, female, tween, toddleedoo, and moppet avatars. This one includes standard mesh size and a Maitreya version, all in that lovely copper gradient with a patterned swash around the hips. All the other outfits coordinate with this, so you can match as a family or roleplay together.

As I mentioned, some of the steampunk pirate looks are on the steamy side, like this terrific prize from AdelleArts Manor Fashions. Their Steam XVI Female Prize consists of the mesh corset in sizes for Isis, Maitreya, Slink, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minim bodies, plus the boots in Isis, Maitreya, and Slink/Tonic sizes. It is perfectly finished with an Omega applier for the underwear, top and bottom which provides the choker, gloves, garters, and stockings you see above. It looks very sexy without the corset too, as I'm sure you can imagine. The hat is included too, and a hairstyle that is not shown here. The male prize is a roguish pirate costume that the guys are sure to enjoy.

Next is another steamy prize, this time from Silken Soul Design called SSD - Steampunk Silks Set - Steam Hunt. Our bra and genie sleeves each come in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine, while the harem pants are designed for Alice, Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. There is also a belt with skirt prims attached for some flexi flow, and flat shoes with ankle straps. I love the steampunk gears on the fabric's pattern, honoring the theme in a fun way.

My final look is one of three treats in the same gear at Mishmash Fusion, who are generously offering a male gift, female gift, and unisex decor (pirate dock) all for anyone who finds their gear. This lovely dress is the ~*MF*~ Sky Pirate Dress, a pleasure in purple with lots of ruffles and a corseted bodice. It includes standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body sizing. This style is fantastic, and in one of my favorite colors it looks magnificent. 

It is a rainy and windy evening here, to the point where it sounds like someone or something is walking around on my roof directly above my head. I am upstairs above a garage so I hear all sorts of weird noises from time to time, odd when you consider that this room is technically a bedroom. Witches and Wisewomen

Hiya everyone! Tonight we explore the free gridwide Renaissance Hunt X, whose theme is Witches, Wisewomen and Wizards. They were prominent in medieval times, then the new era of the Renaissance brought fear of the old ways so many folks who fell under the witch, wisewoman, or wizard description were forced into hiding. I do find history fascinating, particularly how individuals were affected by changing times, so the mini hunts that are a traditional part of these Renaissance hunts (and Silk Road, both organized by Historical Hunts) delight me when they educate us with notecards and links filled with intriguing details. The hunt ends on the 27th, so I do suggest you get started very quickly if you are interested! We are looking for gargoyles, which for this round are textured grey with red cracks that remind me of cooling lava. There is a picture on their website, and the first stop always provides a shoulder pet that serves as a sample and is said to help the hunt object rez faster at each stop if you are wearing it. 

One of our stops with a mini hunt is Mountain Rose, with an enthralling storyline for us to take part in and find several items along the way. One of them gave me the Female Witch costume on the left, and a corresponding male version. That gift includes the forest fairy glen witch top and skirt each in fitmesh M plus Freya, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body sizes, plus a witches broom with familiar (not shown) that you can rez and ride. On the right, you can see the Wisewoman outfit, consisting of a top and skirt in the same sizes as the female witch on the left, with a medicinal plant collecting basket that I am wearing like a backpack. My apron is appropriately smudged for the hard work it takes to find all those herbs, and the tartan of the remainder of the outfit makes sense for the storyline of our adventure. There are several other prizes too, mainly home decor that you will see during the mini hunt.

Thistle Moon Designs has a fun group of prizes too, in versions for men, women, and even children. This is the lovely TMD Modern Magician in Ice Dress, and includes standard fitmesh sizes as well as Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. You will notice a beautiful accessory too, that is the Never Ever !! Necklace "Pagan" fem. Its silver and deep blue combo look so striking with this gown but will easily complement whatever else you decide to wear it with. That prize also includes a male version, which is in an equally striking black and silver combination. 

:.C!L.: is a terrific place to visit for vintage fashion as well as more modern selections, and they are offering a very timely treat hiding inside their gargoyle this round :) It is called Alice 14th century Blue Gown & Hennin, and has a few components to wear together or separately if you wish. The gown comes in a classic M size along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body sizing. The hennin is the cone shaped part of the headpiece, and the tiara w/ veil is provided too. I am wearing both of those above, and I suggest trying them each on individually to see how they combine to create the magnificent headwear you see. I feel elegantly noble in this look for sure!

Speaking of elegant, COVETED! has treats for men and women in their gargoyle that will add to your roleplay experience or any random day you feel the urge to wear them. This is the charming Raspberry Renaissance Gown + Veil, and that gown is gorgeous with its sweetheart neckline and golden belt to match the shoulder bows. Something else that matches is the veil, with a built in circlet to hold it in place in style. The gown is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies.

Witchy woman! My final look of the evening is our prize from Kitty Creation, named Witches, Wisewomen and Wizards Female after the hunt's theme. There is a male prize provided in the same gargoyle, so this gift is suitable for all. Our hooded gown comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, and the prize also includes a simple sleek hairstyle for each size in a light brown shade. I decided to stick with the hair I was wearing since it worked well with the hood, but I do appreciate that the option is there since some hairstyles simply do not cooperate with hats or hoods. I have always been very fond of purple, particularly when combined with black, so this has an extra appeal simply for that reason :) 

Today felt like a more efficient day, since I am not running ridiculously behind my usual schedule, and I had no bizarre dreams to linger and distract me all day like I did yesterday. The weather is getting cooler, so I am wearing longer sleeves and just more clothing in general like slipper-socks. I do enjoy autumn, so I am happy that it is arriving here in RL. Tricks and Treats

Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit a Trick or Treat event at Esalinus, where you can find Halloween costumes (and other seasonal items) for sale as well as many baskets with Trick or Treat in hovertext. Give each of those a click and you will receive a treat for free, like the ones I am showing you in this post :) The event is open until the end of the month, so plenty of time to enjoy this popup sale.

My first look this evening is the treat from Hot Fuss called "Phoenix Outfit". The top is included in standard sizes plus Freya,Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, while the skirt comes in what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. There are two versions of the Maitreya skirt size actually, one for a wider waist, which fit me better even though my shape is on the slender side.

I kept the skirt from that last gift on so I could show off a top, this time from Evil Cupcake. Their EC- Horroraholic Top comes in a single fitmesh size that fit me very well as you can see, and features the words "I am a Horroraholic" across several stars of horror movies arranged in a heart shape. I personally am not big on horror movies, yet I watched Nightmare on Elm Street and its sequels many times, and one Halloween I watched a marathon of Friday the 13th movies with my best friend. Yes, that is an odd choice for a Halloween marathon, LOL, blame whatever random local channel did that ;) 

Two more tops meant that the versatile Hot Fuss skirt stayed put, to enable me to give you a glimpse of these fun treats. On the left is the gift from BLONDEQUEEN named BQ ::Halloween Purple Tank:: which comes in a Maitreya fitted size. To the right you can see the TSB Halloween Ladies  Tank - Witch (there is also a mens gift) that comes in standard mesh sizes plus eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. The witch in the picture on the front is riding a motorcycle, sounds like a speedier upgrade to a broom for the 21st century.

Thistle Moon Designs has a gift basket for us to click too, and the treat it gives is their TMD Daughter of the Red Song outfit. The jumpsuit comes in standard mesh sizes plus a Maitreya version, and the optional sleeves are provided in standard sizing. This could make for a really fun costume!

My final look of the evening is an elegant gown and matching stilettos from Just 4 Fun. Their J4F Julia Halloween Outfit starts with a detailed mermaid style gown in 5 classic sizes and 5 fitmesh sizes plus versions for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The shoes fit Slink High feet, and included but not shown (because my hair simply wouldn't cooperate) is a hat with a wide spiderweb brim. This is such a generous treat, and that's no trick!

I am trying to get myself organized for a very busy weekend ahead, with a visitor who will be here for 3 days with plenty of associated plans. My time online will be limited, so I will see as it comes how that affects my blogging schedule.
