Blue Bayou

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the monthly Blue SL event, which is open until the 8th of May so you have time to enjoy. That might include picking up demos for the $50L sales offers or exclusives, and if you like what you see here tonight it should also consist of joining their free VIP group (if not already a member) and claiming some generous gifts :) They generally have new gifts each month, so it is always delightful to stop by and see what catches your eye. I'd developed a habit of using song titles with "blue" in them for my post titles, so I am sticking with that theme once again. I'm also taking suggestions for future rounds ;)

My first look comes from the wonderful Allure Couture, who are regulars here at Blue SL and always have something special. Their Kimono Set Pink comes on an unpacker HUD that lets you choose your body from Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu sizes. The folder will contain the kimono, C-string, and heels in the version you've selected. I've noticed that their gifts are frequently this shade of dusky mauve pink, and I am such a fan of it :)

Another brand I look forward to seeing here is @rOrO, and their Whitney PinkNTeal Jumpsuit is a perfect example of why :) These colors look phenomenal together, and the jumpsuit is the right touch of breezy and flirty with that fun opening in the front. There are sizes for Erika, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Nhumana, Prima, Reborn, and Star mesh bodies, with a HUD for the belt that offers 5 colors plus an 'off' option. So lovely!

I combined two gifts for one terrific seasonal outfit here. The Angels Amazing Creations gift is called Hello Spring Shirt, and it will certainly wake up the spirit of spring with the vibrant yellow hue :) We receive a classic M size as well as Freya, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Reborn, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body versions. The floral wreath image on the front says "Welcome Spring" in the middle. It pairs really well with the Intisl jeans black gift, which will fit Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn bodies. I got a kick out of the distressed style, with a few rips both front and back that show just how well worn and loved a pair of jeans can become.

Next we get flirtatious with the Nut & Squirrel Freyja gift. The way this dress is laced up in the back and tied with a sweet bow is just *chef's kiss*, lol, and it is a really versatile treat. The dress fits Erika, Kupra Bimbo, Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu mesh bodies, and includes a HUD with 25 colors. The hardest part is picking just two colors to show off ;) 

Sometimes we just need something to snuggle, and the [.KK.] Cute Blue Doll Plushie gift from Khaos Kreations is ready to fill that need. Isn't she a sweetie? She's got a built in hold pose just like you see here, and I think the way her big blue bow matches her eyes is my favorite detail. 

All I can think about tonight is the hockey game I just watched, LOL, because it was just that exciting :) My team has had a rough road to the playoffs, and are playing truly exceptionally so I am a happy camper. The 4th game of the best of 7 series (currently 3-0) is going to be so wild to watch! Meanwhile I've got a hair appointment tomorrow along with a few other errands while I'm out, so no time for a blog post tomorrow evening. I'll be back on Thursday though. RR Christmas Wonderland

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is full of goodies from the ..::RR::.. Christmas Wonderland event. There are gifts in small hat boxes for $10L or less, and the organizers (RR) have several displays that each have multiple gifts in their own squared boxes with photos attached of the contents. I believe this is their 7th year of this particular event, and I certainly hope to see it continue long into the future :) There's even a daily Advent calendar not far from the landing spot, so they are on my list of places to visit daily this month.

My first look this evening is the beautiful Psyche's Pstyles Calyx Dress Holiday Edition gift, which can be yours for just $1L. High-low hemlines always make me happy, and this strapless dress is decorated with poinsettias for a festive touch. There are sizes for Erika, Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies provided.

If you peeked at this photo of our free H.O.P.E. Roxanne Dress gift and noticed hey nice, there are two different colors, I have good news - there are actually four! We have separately packaged black, blue, red, and gold versions, each of which include the dress and matching shoes in Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. That is the gold variety on the left and blue on the right, and I genuinely like all of them so these were random picks :) It's hard to resist sequined stripes, intricate neckline straps, and heels that lace all the way up to the knee. That gold has caught my eye as a potential New Year's Eve look, which will be here before we know it.

Starlight Apparel has a cute $1L gift for us, called .{SA}. Regan Outfit Red. The top and skirt are linked to wear all at once, in sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu bodies. The color reminds me of somewhere between chili and brick, but softer? I really like the way the bow on the top creates a heart shape for that opening :) In the rear view on the right you can see the tattoo I'm wearing, our free *Moon Bound* Seasons Blessings gift. That is exactly what it says on the left thigh, while the right thigh has a snow globe with pretty red ribbon tied around it. The tattoo is a BOM layer so it should be compatible with most mesh bodies as well as classic avatars.

Next I changed into the adorable SH0098 Ladies Santa snow angel shirt from Angel's Amazing Creations. If I'm recalling correctly this is the store that has free gifts in vendors under their Christmas tree rather than in the red and green hatbox style of the others, one male and one female. Doesn't Santa look like he's having the time of his life here, playing in the snow with those rosy cheeks and huge smile? The long shirt is provided in Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and we can easily layer our favorite pants or leggings beneath. 

My final look of the evening is the ..::RR::.. Christmas Dress Stars GIFT which can be yours for just $1L. I went to a Dollar Tree as one of my outings for the week, and it was not the most successful trip as I was planning on getting a birthday card for my godfather (I usually get Uncle cards for him since that's how I've always referred to him and godfather cards are quite rare) but the selection was dreadful. There were only 2 uncle cards and they were just blah, hard to explain but definitely not my taste or his. Blue Monday

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the BLUE Event, a monthly occasion with top designers providing exclusives, $50L discounted selections, and in many cases, free group gifts. I've shared gifts before here from prior rounds, and am very pleased to show some of the results of my latest visit :) The BLUE SL group is free to join, and this post is just a small sampling of the many generous goodies you can find here.

My first look is one of two gifts I found from Angel's Amazing Creation, their lovely DR0070 dress. This is a fun way to prepare for autumn with the burnished leaves floating on the pattern, and I really like the way the neckline is draped over to capped sleeves. The dress comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Reborn, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies.

Our other Angel's Amazing Creation gift is called DR0056 Black & Gold Stars Dress. This lovely halter style mini dress has a deep V neckline and nearly bare back, with a fun starry pattern that reminds me of winter or New Year's celebrations. That's not to say that it is limited to any particular time of year, just a random observation of mine :) The gift includes 5 fitmesh standard sizes along with sizing for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Reborn, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. 

Another gift that is ready for autumn (it'll be here before we know it!) can be found at the Designs by Danielle display. Their DANI Autumn Sweater Dress 1 is a charming turtleneck with puffy long sleeves, in a plaid of orange, cream, and shades of green. We receive Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes in this gift.

Next I changed into the wonderful Let's Get Weird gift, their LGW * B&WBH24 Pack * top. There are Legacy and Maitreya sizes for the Cosima women's top I'm wearing here, as well as a men's version named Tony which comes in Aesthetic, Gianni, Jake, Kario, and Legacy Male sizes. The monochromatic image is dragonlike wings and claws, very feral and intriguing, as the jagged edges look like a dragon could have easily contributed to their creation ;) I'm also holding another event gift, the Imagine Water Bottle which has a built in bento holding pose as shown. I've been more and more careful the past few years to stay hydrated, and this is such a pretty way to do so with that blue gradient and sweet 5-petaled flower blossom on the front. 

My final look of the evening is a duo of shirts with a message of Love ♥, at least that's what is written across the front :) The @rOrO Pink & Teal Odette Top gift has a single ruffled sleeve and fluttery cropped hem, and I really love that the pink and teal versions each have the other color as its ruffle hue. Each version is provided in Erika, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizing. You will need to pay $1L to claim this beauty, but it will be automatically refunded while the gift is delivered safely to you. As with the prior photo (and many posts over the years!) I am wearing one of my all-time favorite gifts, the Delizio jeans (seen here in white) which can be found for free on the marketplace. It's a fatpack of several colors, 9 I think, in system/BOM layers and appliers for Omega and Maitreya. Jeans in general are a great neutral, and the white pair seems to make the vibrant colors here pop :)

Freestyle Fantasy Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post has us treasure hunting, at the Freestyle Fantasy shopping & treasure hunt event. We are looking for actual treasure chests that open when you click them, revealing gold coins inside, but we receive something more useful in SL than coins; that would be a folder with a prize inside, clothing or home decor among the possibilities :) I always enjoy the hunts here at Long Beach and Wonderland Beach, such generous designers taking part in each round. This particular one is open until August 19th.

For my first look of the evening I combined two terrific prizes. The top is our Angel's Amazing Creations SH0027 Black feather shirt, which is provided in classic M and fitmesh M sizes for classic avatars, as well as versions for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. Naturally as a bird person I'm loving the motif :) The shirt goes really well with the Simply Foxie Rainbow Jeans Short Shorts prize, don't you think? These distressed denim shorts will fit Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Star mesh bodies. Both gifts are going to pair up with lots of your favorite wardrobe staples, I'm sure, for those days when you are in the mood to match up cute separates.

I kept the shorts on, slipped out of the shirt, and added another prize from N3W M00N called Pen Doodle Leaves - Tattoo - Black. This gorgeous body art is provided as system/BOM layers in 35%, 50%, 75%, and full opacity versions. I'm wearing the 75% for a slightly less bold look than full, but still clear for photos. I adore the design, a beautifully drawn pen between the leaves and scrolls that have been doodled. 

The treasure chest at @rOrO holds their lovely Cotton Candy Evelyn Dress, so just give it a click and you can claim it for free :) There are sizes for Erika, Lara X, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, all with that great ombre of teal and hot pink. The collar is a fun shape, and the hem has a playful scooped cutout in the front that shows off a little extra leg.

There are three colors total - albino (left above), brown (right), and green, each in Maitreya and Petite versions. I must admit the albino is darker than I expected, which is not a bad thing and I am definitely a fan of all three colors :) The green not shown is both dark and vibrant, with the same fantastic snakeskin print. 

My final look of the evening is our ~MystRie~ Forest Maiden prize, which is a stunning ensemble that can serve as a roleplay costume as well as everyday wear. The lacy wrap dress comes in a fitmesh M as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. Then they've added the adjustable headband, and separate boxes inside for the arm and leg wraps by size - Belleza, eBody, Maitreya, Slink, and Tonic. I feel like a nature spirit like a dryad in this ♥.

Monday, Monday...it wasn't a bad day really, just long because of poor quality sleep. I kept waking up and having weird dreams when I did get sleep, like horror movie type scenarios that is particularly odd when I've never really watched those. The week ahead is not strictly planned (no set appointments) so I'm not sure what I'll be doing tomorrow yet. At least I know SL will be a big part of it :) Prepping this blog, notes and photos, was a little frustrating because I had some glitches like a dress I did not share because every time I changed its color via HUD, it went sheer. That was not its intended state, lol, and detaching/reattaching worked a couple of times but not consistently enough to get photos so I wound up skipping it. It was disappointing because it's a super cute prize, but the ones I did share are terrific too. I hope you're all having a wonderful day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
