Shopping and Hopping

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I hope to influence your weekend plans with some more Shop & Hop SL23B gifts :) If you haven't started exploring the 24 regions yet, I think this would be a great time to enjoy the festivities. Every region has 20 stores represented, so there are 480 brands represented with discounted offers and free gifts. I keep them sorted by region, so tonight the gifts you'll see here are all from Poppy. The best way to ensure that you don't miss any free goodies is the FabFree spreadsheet that they have worked so hard to create and maintain :) The team keeps it up to date and just do an impressive job of collecting the info in the first place that I'm eternally grateful to them for it. We have some hot and rainy RL weather so if yours is similar, all the more reason to spend time in SL instead of outdoors.

First I'm enjoying the beautiful RosenRot - Leo Dress gift. I'm a huge fan of florals, and the flirty style has a cleavage cutout to match the ones in the back and the midriff. We receive sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh bodies. 

Leave it to FTCOR to dazzle me with denim :) The :::FTCOR::DONNA_JEANS_ROMPER::: FATPACK gift will fit Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies. It also includes a HUD with 20 wonderful textures, some of which are shades of basic denim and many are patterned and tinted denim options. The variety makes me as happy as the denim itself, but let's not forget the crossed straps above that deep plunging back opening. 

If you've ever found a gift that was simply too cute not to share, I feel you! That was me when I tried out the Crowded Room - Chicken Plushie, which you can just add to automatically hold with both hands and give it a snuggle. Click and you'll see it squish a little, and it makes a squeak like a dog toy :) Fun fact - there are two sizes and I'm actually showing off the small here, LOL, so the large is even bigger! That's a lot of feathery fun to cuddle up with, and I'm going to make sure Xan picks up a copy for himself too. We both love the cuter side of SL like this :)

Sometimes in SL we want to turn up the heat even more, like the KiraStyle // 371 // gift of a full outfit. The dress, slip (C-string), and socks are each provided in Belleza Classic, Legacy, Pinup, Lara X, and Reborn body sizing, and there is a HUD with 5 colors apiece for the dress, slip, socks, and belt. It's impressive to me that as revealing as this outfit is, all the essentials are covered :) While I usually associate bold looks with the weekend, I also recognize that every day in SL can be weekend-like if we wish. We are creating our own realities after all, so you can be a genderless cat creature on Mars or visit the 17th century in an alternate universe. 

My final look of the night is a fantastic formal gift, the .:FlowerDreams:. Hanne gown. Isn't it stunning? The mesh gown comes in a fitmesh M size along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies. The flexies for left and right (attached at each shoulder in the back) and flowers for left and right sides are each separate attachments, therefore optional if you feel like wearing the gown without them. I'm wearing both flexies on the left above but not on the right, although I am wearing the flowers in both even if they are only visible from behind :) Oh, one important option is that I also added the lights that give the fabric extra sparkle and reflectivity. You can try it on without the light and then with, see what you like better for where you are headed. 

It was a warm day, but nothing compared to tomorrow so I am not complaining (yet). Dinner at my parents' was nice, and we discussed barbecue-type plans for next week. Nothing unusual, just indoor grilling and the usual sides. Pride With SWANK

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post comes from the SWANK event and its Celebration of Colors round, which also has a Pride hunt for free group members. This means we are looking for what I'd describe as a wooden plaque shaped like a flame and painted with rainbow stripes. Once you see one, that'll make more sense :) Most aren't hidden and are easy to spot, with a few tucked behind signs or alongside a shelf but still noticeable. I'm always excited to see the generous gifts, and of course there is some impressive shopping to be done with 2 floors of a huge event with so many sales items to peruse. I've got a folder of demos so I can make up my mind on those before the round closes when the month ends. 

For my first look of the evening, I'm enjoying our GGVG PERRY OUTFIT GIFT. It consists of the knotted top, pants, and strappy heels, all in sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. There is a HUD for the outfit with 5 colors for the top and 8 for the pants, then our heels HUD has 20 colors apiece for upper, heels, straps, lace, sole, and insole. Lots of mixing and matching to do, and I always appreciate that :)

If you need something flirty, be sure to pick up the KiraStyle // TOP-SKIRT 12 gift! There are Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy sizes for each piece, along with a HUD that lets us choose from 20 plaid and 20 solid colors each for the top and skirt, then 20 solids each for the edges/bows on the skirt and edges/bows for the top. Play around with the HUD and have fun with it, that's my motto for this type of outfit anyway :) The bows make me very happy, just as a random admiration of details that tickle me. 

I'm a longtime fan of this next brand, so the :: pm :: Bahia Bikini Set -pink- gift from purplemoon is a real treasure. The bikini (top and bottom linked together as one piece) and sarong will both fit Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The bikini straps are accented by gorgeous pink gemstones (pink sapphire and morganite came to mind) and the sarong is tied low in the front and has pretty ruffled edging. This is such a lovely color and the gift is ideal for this time of year. 

Hawker's House has me just tickled pink (pun intended) thanks to their *HH* Ladies Mesh Ruffled Leotard n Leggings Carnation gift ;) There is a gift for men at the neighboring display by the way, one of several for the guys. This retro goodie has me thinking of Jane Fonda workout tapes or the Olivia Newtown John video for Physical, absolutely 80s fun! The leotard and leggings are each provided in sizing for Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. For the best fit, please switch your feet to flat so the ankles are covered by the extended leggings :) Whatever you do in this outfit, please remember to hydrate and to stretch first...that's generally good life advice anyway that I ought to follow myself more consistently.

One last look tonight, we have the gorgeous JUMO Originals - ADORA Dress Shine gift. The coloring is striking, and I love the way the dress clings to the bust and then flows like a waterfall down to the knee. There are Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Bombshell, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes for us to enjoy. The colors remind me of a tropical bird, but I can't think offhand of which one; there are so many birds with plumage just as beautiful as this gift though :)

It was a decent day, and I am preparing for a very busy one tomorrow. That does mean no time to blog in the evening, but I'll be getting some errands done like shopping at Trader Joe's, which I am eagerly anticipating. The weather is a bit cooler than our recent heatwave, at least for a day or two before the temperatures soar again. Merry POSHmas

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're popping over to the POSH Event for their POSHMAS round, which has some group gifts at various displays as well as treats under the Christmas tree, and even a hunt for little gnomes that also have free gifts for POSH group members. Their group is free to join as well, so there are all sorts of goodies you can claim for absolutely no cost to yourself. Just head on over and explore the lovely winter wonderland and check out the sales while you're there :) The only catch is that the event wraps up on the 17th, so you simply must get there quickly.

I started out with the flirty #KIRA STYLE- DRESS RAISSA gift, which is a fun strapless dress with daring slits on both sides of the skirt and attached garter straps. There are sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, and a HUD with 21 choices. Some of those colors are solid, others have the fishnet midriff you see on the left above, and others are lacy in the middle like the one I selected for the right side. 

Next I changed into our DOllz 'Innocent Maid' Dress/Hud FATPACK gift. It is one of those versatile styles that could be used for roleplay but can also just be a fun look for a random outing :) We receive Kupra Squeezed, Legacy, Peach, Reborn Juicy, and Waifu mesh body sizes, as well as a HUD with 15 color combos. The pretty collar with bow is attached to the dress too, so it's all worn as one pretty piece. 

BlondeQueen has several adorable cropped tees for us to find, like the BQ::Snowflake T_Shirt:: Green on the left above and its Yellow version next to it :) Both versions have a white snowflake on the front, and will fit Legacy, Perky, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies. I'm wearing the black pair of Delizio jeans with them, from their free fatpack you can find on the marketplace. 

I couldn't resist sharing two more of these sweet shirts! The BQ::Snowflake T_Shirt:: Red is the exact inverse of our BQ::Snowflake T_Shirt:: White gift, thanks to the colors of the flakes on the fronts. These come in the same sizes as the first two I showed you above of course, and there is even a fifth color out there...can you guess? Okay, I'll tell you - it is black with a white flake on the front :) It was so thoughtful of them to offer this quintet of seasonal gifts, so whatever color speaks to us at any given moment can be worn with our favorite pants, skirts, jeans, or leggings.

My final look of the evening is a real showstopper, and one of two gifts I found from the same terrific brand. These nails are the SHACKLED - Vampire Sunset [Almond Nails], long and shapely with lots of versatility. That would be because their HUD offers 10 manicures in one, with 5 ombres either with or without the black point at the cuticle line. They all do have a sunset vibe, and the vampire reference could be from the length or shape, or simply that these particular vampires are really fond of when the sun goes down :) This set of mesh nails includes sizing for Belleza, Belleza Gen X, eBody Reborn, Kalhene Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Signature Alice mesh bodies/hands. Just hide the built in nails with the body's HUD, and add these beauties instead. 

Three cheers for the weekend! I had a really nice time at my parents' for dinner, and my mom has been sifting through old paperwork so she had a few intriguing things to share like a copy of my great grandparents' birth certificates (Italy, 1880s) and their marriage certificate, which a cousin had requested to obtain Italian citizenship many years ago. The cousin visited but never moved there, but it is fascinating to have a tiny slice of our family's history :) I'm headed to the farmers market in the morning, then we are supposed to get 2-4" of snow in the evening into Sunday morning.  Hiya everyone! Tonight feels like a good time to check out more SWANK Event group gifts from their 11th anniversary round as we ease into the new week. The gifts can be found by clicking the clear globes with gold Swank logo and number 11 at many of the displays on both floors of this massive event :) Just be sure to have their free group tag active, and you too will feel like you've been showered with several holidays' worth of treats. Since some brands have more than one setup at the event, they might put a gift at only one of them, or put out multiple gifts so you'll see some brand names more than once while you unpack it all. Enjoy the treasure trove!

My first look of the evening is our [C.YFashion]*MEL*DRESS GIFT GROUP, a short mini dress that is not short on sex appeal ;) There are sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD that lets us pick from 6 colors for the main fabric. The wide netting stays neutral black, which looks amazing with any hue you pick :)

I'm feeling groovy in our [If design] Perla gift here, because it's hard not to feel that way when sporting tie dye. The daring dress and tied panties are provided in sizing for Legacy, Legacy Boobs, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. The enclosed HUD offers a whopping 56 textures for each piece, plus the ability to tint the chosen texture so the possibilities are virtually endless. There are plenty of solid colors too, so if the patterns here aren't your thing, you certainly have other choices that should appeal to you.

The Dark Angel : Kara Set Blue gift can be worn two ways, and looks fantastic either way. It consists of a cardigan and strapless dress, in Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. I love the way the paler blue strings tying our cardigan closed match the one beneath the bust perfectly, so we are very nicely coordinated in this outfit. I find it very timely for the upcoming cooler weather too, having the option to add the warmth of the cardigan.

Next I slipped into our flirty KiraStyle // TOP & SKIRT 12 gift, whose top and skirt are each designed for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. The HUD lets us choose from 40 textures each for top and skirt, then 20 colors apiece for the edges/bows of each piece. The bared midriff seemed like a perfect excuse to share another gift, the Malandra - Connie BAD GIRL - BODY TATTOO. It is provided as a BOM layer, and I had to giggle because the crown at the end of the text made me wonder if we are now officially the queen of bad girls for wearing it? I'm usually a good girl type, but SL tends to bring out a different side in me sometimes so I'll wear this crown.

For my final look, I am wearing the versatile Nala Design - Alex Top paired with their Alex Skirt. These are separate gifts, so let's start with (from) the top. It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Peach, Prima Busty, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies, and includes a HUD with 8 solid colors and 9 sheer ones. The sheer is that lacy wisp on the right above, and you can guess why I had to make that the rear view ;) Our skirt comes in a similar set of sizes (not quite identical though) of Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Peach, Reborn, and Star bodies, plus a HUD with 12 color options. The pleats add visual interest, and the brief hemline is as flirty as the crossed top.

It was a decent day, with a productive support group session (from the anxiety center my therapist works for) and getting things planned for the upcoming week. My outing tomorrow is going to be picking up dinner at a 50s themed place about 20-25 minutes away, to keep me expanding the limits of how far I'm comfortable going.  Hiya everyone! Tonight's post brings us to the MUSE Event, where there are tons of generous group gifts in many of the displays. Just join their free group, and look for the black gift bags with teal tissue paper :) Enjoy some shopping too, as there are new releases and some discounted offers from each participating store. The gifts made me think anniversary, but I did not see anything specified so I am not sure if I should be congratulating them on top of thanking them for the fun round.

My first look is the I.M. Collection MUSE Gift, which is a cozy one-piece outfit with the appearance of separate turtleneck sweater and plaid pants. I really like the way the top is tucked into the front of the pants, showing off the shiny button of the waistband :) We receive sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh bodies. 

Another marvelous gift is this #KIRA STYLE - DRESS RAISSA. It brings the flirt factor with that strapless top and two garter straps at the hem, plus those side slits that go all the way up! There are Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizes, along with a HUD that offers 21 textures - a mix of solid, lace midriff, or fishnet like I chose on the right above. 

I can't even explain how happy the [Ari-Pari] May Linen Dress gift makes me, from the sweet style to the lovely color options and beyond :) This fluttery hemmed sundress fits Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a HUD that offers 6 colors of that mosaic-like pattern. It became an instant favorite and will definitely be a part of my go-to summer wardrobe.

Next I changed into the gorgeous *BP* Jemma Dress gift from Bacon Pancakes. First of all, the store name makes me laugh because of the Adventure Time song that several birds I follow on social media have learned to sing. The current one I see most is named Augie (Augustine) and is known to both sing it and whisper it at times, while happily dancing. As for the dress, I'm digging those polka dots and bold colors to contrast them! The straps are a flirty touch as well, and lace on the high waist that is snowy white like the dots. My final look of the evening is a reminder that this kitten's got claws ;) Our [Pixel Doll] Beloved Plastic Stiletto Nails gift is easy to wear, just use your body's HUD to hide the built in nails and add the corresponding size - Belleza, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, or Slink. Then you get to choose from 6 shimmery colors, which have a magical shifty nature so you can see other hues shining through. They really do remind me of the indie polishes in RL that I am obsessed with, so of course I had to share! 

Whew, my outing today was challenging but worth it. I got a chicken cheesesteak which was tasty enough to make up for the stress of being in a car ;) If you thought that cheesesteaks were only beef, I would say that they were initially created that way, but chicken became popular too after a while, and I personally started having trouble eating beef in my late 20s (digestive issues) so I'm all about the poultry now. Some places do thin sliced chicken just like the beef, while others dice it up so it winds up cubed but held together by melty cheese. More Swank Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I took another look through my folder of SWANK Event goodies, from their 8th anniversary round, and there are definitely plenty more I'd love to show all of you. I always feel like I've been lavished with gifts like royalty or a celeb when I come home from one of their gift rounds (this, Halloween, Christmas, etc.) like is this what it feels like to go to an awards show with swag bags? :) You don't need to be rich or famous for these treats though, just join the free Swank group and click all the glass globes with their logo inside that you can find on both floors of this event. There are signs that show you what they look like, and some are small or placed high within the display but not too tricky to find. We have until the end of the month to visit, shop, and get these generous gifts.

My first look of the evening is the Next Door: Priscilla Black Dress & Shrug gift. Both pieces are provided in eBody Reborn, Juicy, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizing. It's always a plus to have two ways to wear any look, so I just had to show you the long and lovely dress with and without its matching shrug :)

Speaking of versatility, how about this KIRA STYLE- SUIT NILA gift? It fits Freya, Hourglass, Maitreya, and Petite bodies, and includes a 9 texture HUD to change up the colors. There are great details like the scooped sides, fishnet panels on each hip, and crossed straps in the back to show off some skin without being overly naughty. There is a HUD with 10 solid colors and 10 patterns for the main dress, plus 10 solids for the contrast (ruffles and corset style waist) to customize things however we wish. The dress itself is provided in sizing for Freya, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. I've always noticed that this brand's general style jibes with my personal preferences, and I'm very grateful for this and all of these gifts.

It was a quiet day but my stomach is still moody, so that is for the best. I have been bugging Xan with technical questions about my PC, hehe, just random things I don't know but feel like I should, to help me with something not related to SL or my blog in any way. Hockey season is almost here and I'm excited about that of course. Still pondering a coach who resigned before even coaching his first game with that team because he got in trouble for making the players hand over their phones so he could look through their personal photos...that sounds really invasive and I'm guessing they couldn't say no without affecting their play time or even having a place on the team.  Hiya everyone! Tonight we are returning to the SWANK Event for more Pumpkin Hunt prizes, since there are just so many to enjoy :) The small orange pumpkins have the event's logo on the front, and are found at most of the designer displays both upstairs and downstairs at this posh event. We need to have the free SWANK group tag active to claim them, then just give each pumpkin a click to receive your treats. Some distribute more than one, while there are designers with multiple displays here so you might find multiple gifts from the same generous store. There are some prizes for the guys, not just ladies, which is always helpful and worth noting.
