Fabulously Free

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post was a fun opportunity to explore the FabFree group gift listing, which I love doing from time to time. It seems there is always something new being added, but I also like to scroll down some and see what might have been on the list for a while and we might not have spotted before. They could be swapped out for newer gifts soon, but are absolutely worth taking a peek now :) I also find the list handy to introduce Xan to brands with male clothing (and potentially gifts) and for those times that we wish to redo our home decor a tiny bit without spending a fortune :) 

If you're feeling like Halloween season can't get here fast enough, maybe our .:BE BOLD:. Space Boo gift will give you that little spooky taste to tide you over ;) Personally I love the dark background that makes the bright colors of the pattern pop, so much so that even spiders and their webs are making me smile. Our top and skirt are separates, in sizing for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. That saucy strap that slides off our shoulder adds a special something, much like the wrapped style of the short skirt. The Beautifully Broken - Beachy Shirt gift simply could not be more appropriate for me! It says "I don't hoard, I curate freebies" and well, my inventory size can attest to that one ;) The lovely lady in the image is surrounded by boxes labeled Freebie, Group Gifts, Demos, and Event Swag. There are classic S, M, L and fitmesh S, M, L sizes for classic avatars, along with Freya, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Ocacin, Reborn, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body sizing. There is also a HUD with 21 color buttons and a hidden 22nd version which is a striped Pride flag type rainbow :) Can you guess how to activate that one? Try clicking around on the HUD but not inside one of the colored squares. I'm wearing the blue Delizio jeans from their marketplace fatpack freebie, which show up on my blog quite often because they are just so versatile :)

Next we visit MONOMANIA to claim their Lace Delight gift, which certainly lives up to its name as you can see. There are 5 texture options via HUD, all floral and a couple of which are sheer, so I would recommend a nice solid pair of BOM panties beneath for modesty. The dress itself comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Senra Jamie, Hourglass, and Physique body sizes. 

Our [Flaneur] Kiara Set gift is a perfect choice for when you're feeing Goth but also want to look sexy. The top and skirt are each provided in sizes for Lara X, Legacy, Nhumana, Reborn, and Squish bodies. That's an impressive view of our cleavage, isn't it? I can't forget to mention the bag that's part of the gift too, with its built in holding pose that shows off the embossed cross so nicely. 

Last but certainly not least, I really wanted to share one of the recent Pride themed gifts that are available. The .::DS::. Starr Pride 3 outfit from Dark Salvation is sporty and playful, with a cropped tank top and short shorts in white with purple racing stripes down the sides. The top says PRIDE and the shorts have a rainbow striped heart, so both pieces reflect your support for Pride month or any time of year. There are Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu sizes included. 

It was a strange day that turned out to be fairly productive yesterday, as I'd taken the day off for a long outing but we only went to a local park to hang out and enjoy watching dogs. It gave me a chance to discuss practical logistics of where to go for my eyeglasses, since I will probably have to go back at least twice which means being closer is better. First to order them, back to get them adjusted when they are complete, and again to get the lens replaced when I have the first cataract surgery and my vision in that eye changes. So there are 2 nearby places, an independent store and a Target with an optical department, which will be next week's outing/s :) The farmers market for Saturday has been canceled due to rain, so I will have to figure out a different motivation to leave the house again. Gaming night was really fun, and I love getting to know my friends better while enjoying these cozy games that make us laugh so much. Hints & Hunts Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is a look at several group gifts for the Hints & Hunts group, for their XOXO hunt which runs until the 20th of February. The hunt prizes are $10L - $25L and hiding in gold hearts with pink bows around them, while the group gifts I'm sharing are found in white square boxes with hot pink ribbons atop them. These are free and the group is also free to join :) You'll find links and pictures of the gifts and hunt keys on the website. They aren't all strictly Valentine themed, but many are at least a nod to this time of year. I know some people despise the holiday, others can't get enough of it, and then there's me in the middle who leans towards liking but not obsessed with it. I'm also a "whatever floats your boat" kind of person, so I respect all opinions on the subject and try to advise you what to expect anywhere I bring you this time of year. All I want is for people to be kind to each other no matter what the calendar says :)

We start out looking sexy in our .::DS::. XoXo 2026 Hunt Gift from Dark Salvation. This group goodie consists of the flirty dress and matching shoes in sizes for Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The rear view is what I affectionately call peek-a-booty, meaning you'll see plenty of bum cleavage, and the dress itself is on the sheer side so your valentine or random hot date will certainly want to keep you close :)

As I often try to do, I paired two gifts here for one sassy look. The YUEBIN - XOXO Hunt GIFT is a playful top named Betula, and comes in male and female avatar body sizing - Belleza Jake, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy F, Legacy M, Perky, Reborn, V-Tech, and Waifu. It is cropped and has straps hanging down the front as well as pink ones on the sleeves. Wouldn't this be great to show off a back tattoo? It looks cute with our Metallic Jeans by LAP (Blue&Pink) group gift, baggy cuffed jeans with a low rise and a built in belt and lots of studs on the left front leg. There are original and PBR versions each in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes. Both of these separates will look amazing with loads of items already in your inventory, I'm sure, so make fashion fun and make it yours by wearing them however suits you. 

I also grabbed the Nut & Squirrel Kathy group gift, which is a starry swimsuit and fluttery skirt to layer atop it :) These are each provided in sizing for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. To make it even more special, we've got HUDs to customize things...the suit and skirt HUD each offer 20 solid colors and 20 patterns, then the metals HUD has 3 tones for the hoop in the front of the skirt's waistband. Once you get to a mature rated beach, you can slide out of the skirt and soak up the sun in your strappy swimsuit.

Next we see the sporty -MicRo- Hunt Gift. It immediately caught my eye as being terrific for any time of year and not overly girlie or cutesy. My first thought was something fun to explore anywhere in SL with friends or a romantic partner, as you could even hike a mountain trail if you add some boots or sneakers :) The tank top and shorts will each fit Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. 

My final look should remind you that I love well polished nails, and I'm always eager to show off my newest SL finds with all of you :) The CHOU Touch of RainBow group gift does not seem to be the one pictured on their website, but I adore this set and am not the least disappointed by that. There are two versions enclosed, touch of rainbow and BOuns Of touch, with the second one being the one in the center/lower part of my image above. They are animated so they knocked my socks off! Both sets of mesh nails are provided in Belleza Old, Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, and Reborn mesh body sizes. I was always that kid who loved rainbows in any form, so they'd have a special place in my heart even without the Pride association adding an extra smile. 

Quick hair note: this weekend's Saturday Sale offering from Truth Hair is a collab with Truth's RL daughter, which makes me very happy to see that his talent is shared by the next generation. Also to be fair it is simply a fantastic style that I would have bought no matter who he'd designed it with! There are hair clips included but not shown that have hearts with different sayings for each color you choose from the HUD, very Valentine candy themed and a great nod to the holiday.

The weekend felt both fast and slow at the same time, always mysterious when that happens but I will say it was an enjoyable one here :) Houseguest, birthday celebration, wonderful company and I stayed indoors most of the weekend to avoid the bitter cold. Even my therapy session this evening went well, and finished over an hour before The Big Game started ;) That is not my sport of choice, so I was only interested in the commercials and the halftime show, and Puppy Bowl of course ♥. My guest is on their way home right now, so there's that little pang of missing them already, but it is never a goodbye but see you later. I'm watching figure skating right now while I type this, but it's tricky to focus on both and I've got other things to do so the skating will get paused (tivo) shortly. Seasonal FabFree

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I decided to check the FabFree group gift list, to see what I could share that is either autumn or Halloween themed, and I've found plenty that fit that bill :) These are all free for members of FabFree in SL, which is also free to join. They're an amazing source of information, and both the blog and group have helped me in countless ways since my earliest days here over 18 years ago now. I've got so much love and gratitude for them, and it's always remarkable to peek at the list of top designers who offer gifts for their members.

My first look of the evening is our Orange Blessed Minidress gift from Harambee-Gwassi which is a charity store to raise funds for schooling in Kenya. The textures made me think of this time of year, especially with those rich colors! Our dress is provided in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body versions. There is a thong to wear beneath in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, while the coordinating stilettos are designed for Altamura, Belleza, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique feet. This is such a thoughtful gift, as a complete outfit that makes getting dressed a breeze.

Our Psyche's Pstyles Heavy Metal Dress gift for FabFree immediately caught my eye, thanks to the orange roses and coppery skulls. This column dress is provided in a standard fitted version along with eBody Classic, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing. It's so nice for this time of year with its hem falling below the knee, and the bare arms could easily be covered by your favorite sweater or shrug :) I've mentioned here often that I enjoy floral patterns year round, and this is a great example of a themed floral for autumn.

Next I headed to Grumble, where I eagerly claimed their Miss Batty Dress gift for FabFree. It's got a great seasonal vibe with cobwebs and bats over a kind of dusky cloud backdrop :) There is also a strong flirtatious feeling because of the wrapped top straps and the daring front slits all the way up to the waist, and I do advise caution with the top because you could get some nipple flashing. There are sizes for Erika, Freya, Isis, Kupra, Kupra Low, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies included in this wonderful gift.

Some might consider the .::DS::. Hezly Crosses gift from Dark Salvation to be more Goth than Halloween, but as they began offering it very recently and I do see more of the upside down crosses this time of year, I'm going with it here :) The blood red overalls and white tank top are separate pieces, each in Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes. I adore this style of short overalls, buttoned on each hip and with all the pockets you'd expect from a classic pair of jeans. I know that some people might be upset by the inverted crosses, but I also know that it was chosen by St. Peter as a sign of humility. It's still certainly warm enough out in RL here to wear shorts too, so very handy!

My final look of the night comes from FLAMINGO'S, their [FLA] Yummy Dress - BLOOD gift. We receive a revealing dress that may have been worn during something ominous, and a matching Yummy hat to complete a baker's style costume. The extra short dress fits Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, and comes with a HUD offering 10 colors each for the buttons, collar, sleeves, and pulse (lower portion of sleeve). The hat is adjustable and has a HUD also, 10 colors each for the hat itself and the strap in the back. You may notice the little modesty flower at the hem there, well it is quite short and was showing off more than I was comfy with so I added that in Photoshop. I also chose a pose to obscure the top, where our breasts are supported nicely but in a way that displays the nipples ;) I'm really curious about some of those handprints, like I could have caused the one in the front but that lower left hip one would have had to come from someone else...who wants to provide my alibi? *innocent grin*

Whew, fortunately it was a much less chaotic day here than yesterday, so I am feeling more optimistic and relieved. No nails in new tires, no weird news about games trying to rip me off, and no fighting to untangle my hair :) The seasonal events in SL keep coming, and I've got several leads to check out later and over the weekend. MIIX Anniversary Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're celebrating the MIIX Event's 5th anniversary, with group gifts galore for their Hype Events group. It is free to join the group, and the gifts are at most of the displays in pretty purple gift bags. A few weren't set up just yet, either no contents or no script to deliver it, but I'll be checking back soon :) The deals here are always wonderful, and the brands you can find are those of very talented and generous designers. 

For my first look of the evening, I am enjoying our [Luxury] Debbie Set group gift :) The strapless top and shorts with built in belt are each included in Legacy, Perky, Pushup Nerido, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy mesh body sizing. There is also a HUD of course, offering 40 choices each for the top, shorts, and belt. Half the choices are solids and the other half are various patterns, which allows for a wide assortment of looks.

The sexy :::FurtaCor:::Dheart Dress can be found on the wall with the event signs and info rather than at their display, and there gifts for other groups there as well. This peekaboo dress has tiny heart-shaped holes all throughout the fabric, so that does make it somewhat see-through. There are sizes for Kalhene, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies included, along with a 12 color HUD and the valentine bear with built in hold that you see here. With the bear being an optional addition, I do still feel this dress is suitable for any time of year :) Just be sure to wear the proper undies or pasties if you're headed somewhere G rated. One of my favorite features is the intricate straps on the back, tied with a pretty bow like a sweet present.

Next I changed into the {EB} SPECIAL GIFT MIIX from Ewa Boutique. This treat has a pair of bold black roses in full bloom, one on the single shoulder and the other at the waist where the wrap skirt meets up, and it's all one piece so very easy to wear. We receive Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing of this lovely dark floral set.

Dark Salvation has a gorgeous gift waiting for us, their Shanon DS Gift. This low cut mini dress comes in sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu mesh bodies. The enclosed HUD offers 4 sweet floral prints that are ideal for the season :) I'm a fan of flowers year round, but do get the strong connection between spring and new blossoms.

For my final look of the night, I wanted to show you a closer look at the :::FRIDANails::: gift called Nails- PINK 1- Almond. These beautiful long mesh nails have alternating solid pink nails and white with a heart pattern, for an eye-catching manicure that is so easy to wear. Just hide your body's built in nails and add the corresponding size from the folder :) They fit Belleza, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, Signature Alice, and Slink hands. 

We had an intense thunderstorm whip through the area earlier this evening, but fortunately it is gone now and my power didn't blink out at all :) That would have been really inconvenient while playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure, because it doesn't autosave that I am aware of so anything we'd done so far would have poofed. We have unlocked a few more things, gotten some new quests, and got a little lost so there is some investigating to do. Meanwhile I am terrified about my dentist appointment tomorrow, which is a good time to mention that I am taking tomorrow evening off from blogging. Either I'll get there and be all nitrous-groggy when I would be blogging, lol, or I will fail to get there again and be busy sulking and trying to forgive myself. FabFree Gets Spooky

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post was so fun to assemble, as I knew that several FabFree designers were offering group gifts that had a Halloween flavor. I didn't want to wait much longer obviously, so here we are in the final days before the spookiest holiday of the year :) All the looks I'm sharing are current group gifts for the FabFree group, which is free to join, and they might be swapped out relatively soon so I would hurry if you're interested. You can see all the gifts on the FabFree blog, as well as information on just about every sales item or gift for $75L or less that you can think of. I've been a huge fan of the blog and group ever since I discovered them really early on in my SL experience, which started 17 years ago, and my respect for them has only grown in that time. Enjoy!

My first look of the evening is from Morrigan's Magick, their gift called )MM( Just Batty Gown. It is a gorgeous full strapless gown with a gathered layer atop, which has a flock of bats in soft grey. There are some 3D roses on the right hip as well, adding a feminine touch to the spooky feeling. There are sizes for Legacy and Maitreya mesh bodies included, and I wanted to share some helpful info just in case...I added the unpacker HUD and I couldn't click it, nor did it automatically deliver the contents as it seemed it should. Then I rezzed it on the ground to open the traditional way, but it immediately vanished with a no-rez warning in local chat. It was probably an SL glitch (not unpacking when worn), and the items were copyable, so I was able to pull the size I wanted out of the contents tab of the edit window while wearing the HUD. I'm just sharing in case the same happens to you, since I don't want you to miss out on this beauty :)

Next I picked up the alluring K-Ks Designs Outlandish Powder gift that makes me feel like dancing. The hemline caught my eye first, thanks to its dramatic dip from left hip all the way down to the floor on the right, but then the plunging neckline secured with golden skull made me whisper "wow!" under my breath ;) To claim this lovely gift, you'll need to pay the vendor $1L which will be automatically refunded while the gift is delivered to you. Then you'll have sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kupra Bimbo, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies to select from.

Our Always Blossom - Skeleton Hands Tee made me chuckle as I wondered whether I've added some bones as a bra, or if a skeleton is standing behind me getting frisky. Whichever you think it is, you can claim this cutie by going up to the gifts floor (click the words 3rd floor next to the elevator door) and wait till you see the wide range of sizes! These are the blue, not to be confused with their light blue.

My final look of the evening is our .::DS::. Spookie Babe gift from Dark Salvation. Their general style is fairly sexy, so this flirty twist on a Halloween look did not surprise me :) It does impress me though, obviously! The tube top, laced mini skirt, and above-knee boots are all provided in sizing for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. Did you notice the bats on the platform sole of the boots? They must be related to the ones on our skirt, and the one on the top above its text :)

There are a few designers with multiple boxes and some are set for sale for reduced prices ($30L or so) but I believe they even have a free one so be careful and check hovertext before clicking :) The anniversary round of the MIIX Event is open until the 20th of April.

For my first look of the evening I'm wearing the charming HORL - Peggy Outfit. This gift includes the top and skirt each in Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. The top has a really cute heart cutout in the front, and the high waisted pleated skirt comes up even shorter in the back than the front view. Purple and black are a great color combo in my opinion, so instant favorite for me :)

Next I slipped into another wonderful skirt set, this time the gift from Dark Salvation named .::DS::. Cleo. The top has a cloaked image with horns protruding through the hood, a very pretty woman who has stars and planets (Saturn!) behind her. The denim miniskirt has a built in belt and a print of astral designs that definitely caught my attention too :) Both pieces fit Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies. This is why I am wearing my Legacy body tonight instead of Maitreya, since all the ones I wanted to share in this post have Legacy sizes but this is the only Lara X one. I don't mind, as I know I need to be versatile with other bodies gaining such popularity.

I've always loved 1 Hundred.'s style, so naturally I was very excited to claim their Angel Top. Lilac gift and even more so when I unpacked it to see the bonuses! The top and white thong panties are each provided in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, while the white unrigged angel wings are included too as an extra nod to the word ANGEL on the front of the tube top ♥. I giggled a bit when I realized that there is a tiny white bow in the middle of the wings to match the ones on each sleeve hem, just demonstrating their commitment to making sure all their offerings are loaded with wonderful details.

These two gifts seemed to combine nicely both in spirit and compatibility :) The top is our nope. val - spring gift, a tank with slender straps and a celestial print in 10 colors via HUD. It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. For even more stars, I added the striking Studio 1988_Radiance Tattoo gift, which is a great unisex look across the upper back and down each upper arm. We receive both fresh and faded versions in system/BOM layers as well as appliers for Legacy and Omega, so most bodies should be able to wear this with ease. 

My final look of the night is the sexy {S&C} Ameli Body gift from Spells & Charms. The playful bodysuit is trimmed in lace and has crossed straps in the back, light on the coverage up top yet modest on the booty. There are sizes for Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a 6 color HUD so you can even pick your favorite hue to go with the black lace and trim. I think I'd tried on so many brighter colors tonight that I wound up picking neutrals for this photo, just by random chance, and I'm liking it!

Oh my, it was quite a day...my therapy 'homework' was 2 outings this week, and I did one of them but it was not done as directed. The housemate/driver decided to make two stops instead of one, and there was almost a collision when someone darted out of the parking lot of the first stop without seeing us there in a giant SUV so sure, totally invisible. Eyeroll. It's all good, I survived lol, and my anxiety was soaring but obviously calmed down eventually. Next outing will be Thursday, a trip to a nearby grocery store, unless someone decides to add stops or change things again. More Advent-ures

 Hiya everyone! Today is another post filled with gifts I found in my explorations of Advent calendars that make December a very special month in SL. The best source I've found of information is the FabFree advent post, and it lets you know if the gifts are free or a small cost, group tag needed or not, and if you need to be a group member they let you know if there is a fee to join it. The goodies I'm sharing this morning are all either for free groups or there is no group needed, so these will not affect your holiday budget in the least :) Of course, visiting these fantastic stores might inspire you to do some shopping when you see their great merchandise, which is something I encourage to thank them for spreading holiday cheer. 

My first look of the day comes from DW Design, whose Advent calendar does not need any particular group tag to click. The gift for the 11th is their lovely Lantern in the Snow Dress, a royal blue pencil dress with a beautiful wintry pattern. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. 

Another Advent calendar you don't want to miss is the 11 .::DS::. Velma Snowflake outfit from Dark Salvation. The bra and panties are linked together and worn as one, in Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. I love the slender chain around the waist, and the little heart that dangles from its end :) Their general style here is sexy, so you can expect each day's gifts to be equally alluring.

For a festive pop of color, be sure to join the free group at AMUI and claim their "Kim" Dress & Jacket RED today! The dress, jacket, and jacket overlayer will each fit eBody Reborn, Freya, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies. I'm wearing the dress alone on the left, and with the overlayer on the right which as you can see is slightly sheer. The jacket itself is solid with the same texturing, both very pretty :) I can't resist a high quality mini dress, but it's even better with an optional jacket!

Applique` Chic has two tree-shaped stacks of gift boxes as their Advent calendars, one for men and the other for ladies. I think you can tell which I'm sharing here, lol, their AC: Vintage Christmas Pink Advent Day 11 gift. The pale mauve pink fabric has an even lighter colored pattern of trees and snowflakes, beautifully contrasted by the white of the collar, cuffs, and hem trim. There are sizes for Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies included. I'd like to note that most of the prior gifts are available for $10L if you miss any days, but they usually seem to have at least 2 set for $0L at any given time. I've been a fan of theirs for a very long time now, so I'm always pleased to visit :)

My final look of the day is noteworthy because of one of the sizes included, for the new Maitreya Lara X body :) This is only the second piece of clothing I've blogged so far with the new size, so it is very exciting and a good sign that moving forward we will be seeing it more. This is the MadCatCreations treat called MCC - woman - xmas sweater 11, and is from the room labeled "Women" because across the way there is another Advent calendar for the men in their labeled department :) So the sizes of our sweater are Gen X Classic, Gen X Classic Petite, Khara, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Legacy Petite, Maitreya, Maitreya X, Prima Busty, Prima Petite, Reborn, Reborn Juicy, Reborn Waifu, and Senra Jamie mesh bodies. The sign next to the board says to join the group to claim the gifts, and it was initially free but is now $1L, however I have accidentally claimed the gift without the group tag active (the chaos of visiting dozens of stores while tired LOL) and realized that it will distribute even if you are not in the group. I believe that so far all the gifts have included a Lara X size, so your wardrobe building can begin with a bevy of fun sweaters for the holidays. 

There were at least a dozen other gifts I'd have loved to share but simply don't have the time in one post, so I really do urge you to look at that FabFree listing if you haven't already. My plans are to shift back to evening blogging tomorrow, so no post tonight, and then I'll be taking a day off on Thursday after my overdue dental appointment. It is admittedly a bit of a weird week, but I am trying to balance SL, RL, the holidays, and my continuing anxiety/panic issues. I feel like every time I log in, I find out about something else I'll need to be blogging ;) December as a blogger is utter chaos, but it's better than having nothing at all to do. Christmas Wonderland

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are plunging into the holiday season by visiting the .::RR::. Christmas Wonderland shopping event. There are lots of themed items for sale to help you with your holiday wardrobe and home decor, plus many gifts for $10L or less at most of the displays. This is their 5th year of holding this particular event, and I have certainly enjoyed visiting each December :) We can even click the Advent calendar near the landing area, just walk through the lit arches into the main event and you'll see the large board with the days of the month. That is free with no group needed, important info for those of us who are starting to sift through details of the hectic Advent season in SL. 

My first look tonight is the ::DS:: Jingle Bells outfit, which is a $1L gift from Dark Salvation. The top, shorts, and leggings are each provided in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. I like the way the leggings and shorts have the same pretty pattern, while the shirt says "Jingle Bells" among multicolored snowflakes. This way we can pair the top with either bottoms, depending on the weather and our mood :)

Another fantastic dollarbie gift I picked up was the .::RR::. Christmas Dress Stars, so yes it is courtesy of the organizers of this particular event :) The flirty wrap dress fits Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies, as well as being included in a classic M size. The black fabric is beautifully decorated with rose gold stars, reminiscent of the holidays but not really limited to them.

The [Enchantress] Zelie Dress 3 is a free gift that instantly caught my eye with lots of wintry patterns on a halter dress that dips daringly low in the back. In sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, this flattering style can be changed to your choice of 8 textures with the included HUD, so it's really like eight playful looks rolled into one fun gift. 

As soon as I first saw Psyche's Pstyles at another event (it was a Cheeky Monkey one ♥) i knew I'd be a big fan, and the ability to pick up their Starry Mints Dress treat for just $1L certainly helps maintain my fandom status ;) This strapless mini is trimmed in lush white fur with a red belt at the waist, tied in a sweet ribbon. Did anyone else have a grandma or older relative/neighbor who always had those starlight mints on hand? Fond memories, and the ones on our dress have no calories and won't stick to your teeth. Sizes include Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. 

My final look of the evening starts with a touch of advice that is a reminder of an SL oddity that we all need to be aware of. That would be the inability to unpack a no-copy item from an attached object like an unpacker HUD, so if anything inside one is no-copy (like this dress!) you will get a folder with just the copyable items. The only way around it is to rez on the ground (your home or a sandbox) and unpack it the traditional way. The Zola Designs Sweater Dress Christmas Color HUD is obviously well worth the extra couple of seconds of effort :) This cozy turtleneck sweater dress fits eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. It also contains a HUD with a whopping 16 seasonal textures, all well suited to the style of the dress and the time of year. Keep browsing the event and you'll find another Zola Designs gift too, that also needs to be unpacked manually despite saying ADD ME in the name of the item. It would be truly a shame to lose either of them to the SL no-copy unpacking quirk, don't you think?

I had a nice day that took a weird turn by evening, so now I'm just drained. I ate dinner at my parents', and while it was a very nice visit, the simple act of eating threw my stomach into a tizzy which made my anxiety skyrocket. The brief ride home felt like hours, LOL, and I nearly bulldozed my way out of the car and into the house when we got here. My therapist wouldn't be too impressed with my lack of composure :P  Despite still feeling a bit shaky and uneasy, I am glad to be here blogging and have been organizing notes on where to visit each morning for Advent.  Hiya everyone! As you may have guessed from my title, tonight we are continuing our journey on the MGSN Xmas Gift Train. Just have your MGSN group (Maitreya Gifts, Sales & News) active to click and claim the gifts at each stop, mostly seasonal themed treats to brighten up our wardrobes. As I mentioned last night, most of the gifts include sizes for other mesh bodies too, so please don't overlook this just because you don't wear a Maitreya body :) Everything I'm sharing tonight includes sizes to fit multiple brands, with each size noted beneath each photo.

Our first stop tonight is Composer Girls Fashion, where I happily claimed their !CGF-*Holiday*(With Jacket)Blue Jeans Jumper Outfit gift. The top and jumpsuit each fit Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with cute jacket in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes (similar set except Venus instead of Legacy). The Converse tip toe sneakers are sized for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink feet, and we also receive 4 accessories in this gift - mesh candy cane for the mouth, necklace, antlers with decor, and a santa hat. All are adjustable and if they are clickable there is a resize script. I really appreciate all the different ways we can wear this...just the jumpsuit and top without the jacket for example, or choosing between the two different head adornments. I must admit, I have purchased some of my favorite complete outfits from this store, and claimed others as group gifts here thanks to the designer's generosity.

I also stopped by Dark Salvation (note: free Advent calendar out front!) and was delighted to find another cute casual look as their MGSN Train gift. It's called .::DS::. Ginerva Ho Ho Ho, and consists of a cropped open hoodie, top, pants, pants with print, and shoes that each fit Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. The print on the pants can be seen on the right above, subtle darker red HO HO HO! text much like that on the tank top. This is another versatile outfit that can be worn with or without the hoodie, and your choice of the two styles of pants. The sneakers, for flat feet, are really well coordinated with the colors of the rest of the outfit. 

Maybe you have plans that call for a more formal look, well the gift train has that covered too! The vibrant green color is delightful for the holidays too, calling to mind evergreen trees like many of us have decorated in our RL and SL homes.

It was my last peaceful day until after the holiday, although my sleep was interrupted and it about 2 hours to fall back asleep, so peaceful may be the wrong wording there. I didn't have to go anywhere at least, like tomorrow when I have a dentist visit that means nitrous so a woozy day. Since I have so many things the next couple of days, I am going to attempt to blog tomorrow evening if I get enough rest after the appointment. The next day I will be doing lots of cooking for Christmas Eve, and may not be done in time to blog (the 23rd). Then I'm taking off the night of the 24th since I'll be at my grandmother's house, spending time with her and my parents and hopefully 4 cousins (2 cousins and their wives really) which is important to me since one couple didn't make it to Thanksgiving for illness reasons. Yes, that illness. I usually only see them for these 2 holidays, so fingers crossed that they are all healthy :) Christmas Day is spent at my parents' making pizza for dinner, not the most common tradition for sure but we have fun with it.
