Twisted Into The Void

Hiya everyone! Tonight my post is fairly time-sensitive, since the Twisted Hunt is wrapping up on the 30th. That means we have just over a week left to find the slowly spinning cubes, which are dark black to match the Into The Void theme of this fall round :) Twisted is widely considered the hardest hunt on the grid, and I'd say that is at least partly due to the decoy cubes allowed in each store (13 visible cubes total, at least 1 of which will contain a prize) and the fact that hints are never published. If you need a little assistance, you can join the free group and ask politely for a hint. I used teamwork with my partner Xan since he is both experienced and exceptional at finding tricky hunt objects, and we get to have fun laughing about them over voice chat :) Usually it's about who found one first, or how clever a particular hiding spot may have been. Please note - due to RL circumstances the End Game isn't open yet, but the group will be notified as soon as it is. That is always a huge challenge in itself, and my cataracts will make it even more so this year, yet I will not let that stop me from trying my hardest.

I'm starting with the stunning :: ANTAYA :: Sequin dress "Brenda" BLACK hunt prize. Who can resist that sparkly texture? The dress and sleeves are separate pieces, both in sizes for Lara X, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I so appreciate the ability to wear this beauty with or without the sleeves, and am loving how the structured top contrasts with the flowing miniskirt.

Is it silly that I'm picturing a cartoon wolf with his eyes bugging out, whistling at this outfit? :) The Steel & Ink Umbra THF26 prize is not for the shy or wallflower type, as you will most assuredly turn heads in it. The dress, panty, stockings, and boots are all included in Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes, with fishnet galore in deep black. As a reminder, I'm wearing nipple covers that came with my skin here, so without those the nipples will be visible. Pasties would look amazing with this, probably the black tape X style if you've got any of those handy :)

It is always a pleasure to visit @rOrO, and you'll be extra delighted when you find the cube containing their Eden Dress Void prize. This lovely belted long sleeved dress comes down to the ankles, and will fit Erika, Lara X, Legacy, Prima, Reborn, and Star mesh bodies. Did you notice the subtle pattern? It's dark on dark, so definitely in that 'void' realm of the color spectrum. I might add a choker and sandals or neutral pumps, keeping things simple yet elegant.

The [TR] Blackout Dress Set prize from Touryuumon is another plunge into the dark side of fashion and color, with a flirty twist. We receive the top, skirt, and panties, each in sizing for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn bodies. I honestly can't recall already if the straps we see around the waist are from the skirt, panties, or both ;) The detailed chains on the top and skirt are fantastic details, with a clover shaped clasp at the navel. 

Last but certainly not least for the evening, we get to shine in the Clothes Culture STARDUST dress. This prize includes Altamura, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Tonic Curvy mesh body sizes of the beautiful sleeveless minidress with slit bodice to show off some cleavage. As you can tell there is some sheen from the lighting of my skybox, and the flecks of glitter in the texture do remind me of sci-fi movies when they travel through the stars. Outer space is certainly a void, with the unknown waiting to be explored, so A+ for theme interpretation here as well :) Admittedly I am very fond of all these designers' creativity and theme usage, because I think they are all magnificent.

My exposure therapy of watching videos of car accidents (dashcam footage) was extremely stressful earlier, and tomorrow I'll be out for a good chunk of the day in a car. Doesn't that sound fun? LOL! My anxiety has many harsh opinions about that, but I'm basically out of food so that is a good motivator. Twisted Is Back

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is a huge welcome back, as I'm thrilled that the Twisted Hunt is back :) After a 3 year hiatus, we've got a theme of Hell Froze Over, which definitely shows their tongue-in-cheek attitude. This is billed as the hardest hunt in SL, with lots of small rotating cubes that you might wind up seeing in your sleep after enough time. They are patterned with a fire and ice type appearance, and when you start at their headquarters you will see your first cube so you know what you're seeking. There can be up to 13 visible decoys in addition to the main prize, which will be within 30 meters of the landing spot. There are no hints on the website, primarily because the designers tend to move the prizes around, but we can ask politely in the hunt's group for a hint if we get stuck. My partner Xan and I use teamwork, patience, and voice chat (faster and clearer than having to type out what we're trying to say) to do the hunt together, so my suggestion is to ask a friend to join you for an even more fun adventure. Another bit of advice is to always click the hunt easel if you see one, since the notecard it gives might contain a hint or details about a side hunt, or extra prizes like some of the decoys actually contain little treats. These top notch designers are showing how happy they are that Twisted is back, with some creative ways of interpreting the theme and some really generous (and devious) surprises! We're starting the evening with the Dreaming Thicket - Carnation Gown (Femme) - Hellfire prize, which is a lovely medieval styled dress in colors we can find in flames. There are a classic size and a fitmesh one for classic avatars, along with sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Ocacin, Reborn,  Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. Every detail, from the panels in the front to the gathered sleeves, work together beautifully to create an unforgettable look.

Next I slipped into the dazzling Steel & Ink - Frostmaiden prize, an intriguing style to keep you warm and looking hot. This outfit is all one piece, even the boots, and I have to mention that those fire-colored sequins you see actually twinkle and change colors in person :) It fits Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. 

It was such a pleasure to see that Psyche's Pstyles is a part of the hunt too, so you can imagine how happy I am to share their Obsidian Flow Dress as their prize for us. There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, all with that great style that looks as though it was created by magic. Fun fact about obsidian - it is volcano glass, formed by rapidly cooling lava, so that works so well with the theme of hell freezing over! Not that I'm sure that there are volcanoes in hell, but if there were and it suddenly froze, you'd find lots of obsidian. This dress doesn't even need any jewelry, just a simple pair of shoes to complete the look.

Another showstopper of a prize is our ~MystRie~ Fire & Ice Gown. This incredible style looks like modern art, with dramatic neckline and long icy train. We receive Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes when we find this hidden cube. There are several hidden here actually, 7 I believe, containing prizes for men, women, and dinkies. So please take your time and explore thoroughly, as you'll be greatly rewarded :)

For my final look this evening, I'm showing off our @rOrO Halloween Plaid Set prize. I love that it includes matching footwear! We start with the top and skirt, each provided in sizing for Erika, Legacy, Lara X, Reborn, and Star mesh bodies. Then we get to add the bow platforms, which are designed for Gen X, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Slink feet. Those really solid type platform shoes make me think of 90s grunge style somehow, and the plaid colors are perfect for this time of year right along with the fire and ice combo of our theme. 

It was a pretty good evening with some exciting hockey while I started this post, so I am in a pleasant mood :) It still feels like every time I turn around there's another event starting in SL, all for Halloween and several with gifts that I can share here. Twisted Beyond The Veil

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are heading back Beyond The Veil with the Twisted Fall 2021 Hunt. It is a special event that takes place twice a year (March and September) where we search for devilishly tricky hidden cubes which for this round are Dusk colored. That is a smoky purple shade that you will see plenty of along the hunt path, perhaps a bit too much ;) Please be sure to read over their website if this is your first time taking part, so you know what to expect. Generally it is very tricky, no hints are provided on the website (but can be requested in the chat for their group) and there can be up to 13 visible decoys at each store in addition to the actual prize-containing cube. There are easels at many stores that will give you a notecard upon clicking with information like side hunts, special sales, and in a few cases a hint. I am also a fan of teamwork if you have a friend who might be interested too, and with lots of male and female prizes plus unisex ones it can appeal to a wide audience.

My first look of the evening is the Cailleach, Guardian of the Veil outfit from Steel & Ink. The top and skirt each come in a fitmesh M size for classic avatars along with sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. The matching wedge heeled boots have an unrigged version you can adjust, plus sizes for Belleza, Maitreya, Legacy, Ocacin, Slink, Tonic, and Voluptuous mesh feet. They all have bright aqua lace to contrast the dusky purple color wonderfully. 

Next I changed into the lovely MLCC Beyond The Veil Dusk Womens Outfit from Moonlitecat Creations. There is a men's prize in a different cube, so be sure to continue to look around when you've found one :) This treat includes the diaphanous top and skirt in plenty of sizes: 5 standard and 5 fitmesh for classic avatars, as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. I love the handkerchief hemline, and the way the fabric is sheer in just the right places.

Better than Naked has two prizes waiting for us too, so I am pleased to share their [BtN] THF21 (f) ladies' prize. The long sleeved top and full length skirt are each provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, as well as a fitmesh M for classic avatars. The texture is animated and positively mesmerizing! I could have stared at it for ages, enjoying the way the smoke pattern drifts from left to right on one piece and right to left on the other. The swirling sensation is very clever, and I do get a kick out of animated textures.

There are two prizes to locate at Mara's Meshy Stuff, a new-to-me store with a really fun name! These gifts are both for the ladies, and are the Friday the 13th Bunneh top and the Red webbed skirt seen here. Each come in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes, and they can be worn together or you can pair them with anything else in your inventory that you choose. The intense little bunny made me chuckle, and the webs of the skirt are just as Halloween themed but neither are really limited to that season. 

My final look this evening is the head-turning Ethereal Harness Dress prize from [Ari-Pari]. It has the twisted cubes' texture on the bodice and ruched layers on the skirt, with a flattering built in harness. The dress comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing, with a terrific HUD that offers 10 colors for the dress, 4 for the harness, and the ability to hide or show the harness entirely. This way you can decide if you want the delicate harness straps to hug your curves, or the spaghetti strap dress itself since it is formfitting too. I always appreciate HUDs for versatility, and this one is especially loaded with options.

It has been a pretty good weekend here, all things considered. The housemate's guest will be leaving in the morning, and they were not too obnoxious so I was relieved. The weather Saturday was beautiful for my visit to the farmers market, and I saw someone who used to sell there but had to move back to his home country to take care of a family member. Time To Get Twisted

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am excited to share some prizes from the Twisted Spring 2021 Hunt. This twice-annual hunt is in its 13th year, and the new round has a theme of Djinn with cube color of sandy orange. The theme is described as a Twisted take on genies, Arabian nights, and Persian cultures of old. Usually it runs through the entire month of March, but it started mid-month this time so it goes until April 15th this time. This means we have over 2 weeks remaining to find these very tricky cubes that slowly rotate and haunt our dreams ;) I strongly suggest reading their website if you are not familiar with the hunt, as it will educate you on what makes this hunt unique...things like no hunt hints on the website but they can be requested in the group, and there can be up to 13 decoys in addition to the actual cube with a free prize in it. I also recommend clicking the hunt easel when you see it at a stop, since it will give you information on the prize and any side hunts, gachas, special sales, and anything else you might need to know for their Twisted celebration. The hunt is a challenge, but quite a worthwhile one.

One of my favorite places to visit during the Twisted Hunt is Roped Passions, because their decoy cubes will treat you to some clever snarky comments in local chat when you click them and it always makes me chuckle. Two of the cubes have prizes though, one for men and the other for the ladies. (RP) Almira Enchanted Gold is the one I am enjoying above, a lush golden top and pants in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, Hourglass, Physique, Signature, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. The waistband is low and slung diagonally so it winds up being rather revealing from the rear view. I love the detailed trim, and the embossed pattern on the satiny material.

My next look is also one of two prizes, male and female, found at the same store in different cubes. The store is Better than Naked, and their prize Female includes the overcoat and pants in fitmesh M for classic avatars plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body sizing. The boots are for mid height feet of Belleza, Maitreya, Slink, and Tonic bodies with an unrigged version provided as well. The pattern on the coattails is similar to one on our hidden cubes, and the overcoat has the belts attached for ease of wear.

Applique` Chic made good use of the cube texture as well, on their AC: Twisted Salwar prize. It consists of the long tunic top and two pairs of pants, each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. The plain pants are the greyish solid color on the left, while the ones on the right are the brighter yellow but trimmed at waist and cuffs with the shirt's pattern. The slits on both sides of the top work really well with the loose fitting pants, which altogether provides a themed feeling.

Steel & Ink has two prizes in the same cube, called Barbara and Larry, and I bet you can guess which this is ;) Barbara's tube top and harem pants are rather sheer, each in 3 fitmesh sizes for classic avatars (S, M, L) plus Belleza Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. The flat sandals are provided for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink feet. I really like the blue with the sandy yellow color that is prevalent in the hunt, since it reminds me of the ocean washing up on the beach.

My final look of the evening had just a touch of that golden hue, with lots of fiery red for a gorgeous combination. This is the [TR] Desert Dancer prize from Touryuumon, an outfit that really does make me feel like twirling and dancing :) The jumpsuit comes in Freya, Legacy, Maitreya, and Physique sizes, with the belt as a separate piece that has a resize script built in. The style is very flirty, despite the only bare skin revealed being the shoulders and upper chest area. So fun!

Totally Twisted

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more free prizes from the Twisted Hunt Fall 2020, found inside slowly spinning cubes in the round's colors of moss colored earth. The theme is Drow, and I am learning quite a bit about them from researching the names of various prizes. My knowledge of Dungeons & Dragons is very limited, so I didn't even know that the lore of drow comes from there in the late 70s. They are dark elves, and there is a spider queen involved, so those facts have greatly influenced many of the gifts. It is billed as the hardest hunt in SL, and after you stumble across enough decoy cubes you will probably agree ;) I recommend teaming up with a friend or two, so you can get different perspectives and help each other. I also suggest joining their inworld group, where you can politely ask for a hint if you get really stumped, and will be among the first to know once the End Game is open so you can earn even more gifts and gray hairs. I joke, but I appreciate the challenge and am always grateful to have Xan by my side throughout. 

My first look is actually a great choice to wear while gridwide hunting, and I felt like a total bad-ass in it! This is the MLCC Drow Huntress Green Outfit from Moonlitecat Creations, and that is the texture of the cubes you are looking for on the top. The corseted top and laced pants each come in sizes for classic avatars (classic M and fitmesh M) as well as mesh body sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous. The matching boots include Freya, Maitreya, Ocacin, Slink, and Voluptuous sizing as well as an unrigged version. 

I also found the prize from Steel & Ink, for which I will offer the hint that I was amazed at where I found it ;) Be aware of teleport pads wherever you go, that is also a handy guideline. So this is their beautiful Drow Priestess gift, and it starts with the elegant deep blue gown with delicate spider webs and dramatic sleeves. It comes in classic M and fitmesh M for classic avatars, plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body versions. Its daring slit on the right leg reveals the webbed tights which come in system/BOM layers plus an Omega applier. The coordinated shoes are for Freya, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. Included but not shown are a skin (system/BOM and Omega) and a hair style which is white blonde and a bit past shoulder length.

This prize may give you a touch of deja vu, as it is similar to the first one I shared this evening. It is the *Valkyr RP* Drow Rogue F, and the M for male is in a separate hidden cube. This prize includes the top and pants each sized for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous bodies, with matching boots in Belleza, Belleza Freya, Maitreya, Ocacin, Slink, and Voluptuous versions. The firmly laced corset style top is a flattering look, and the strappy boots have a powerful feel to them.

This prize from ZFG made me smile, and genuinely chuckle thinking of how happy Xan will be when he sees it :) If you are a Monty Python fan and can quote Holy Grail, you will probably recognize the words on this O LORD shirt. In case you can't quite read it, above the white rabbit outline it reads "O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." Find their cube, and you can claim it in sizes for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies.

My final look of the evening is a particularly flirty one, thanks to the cube at IBAN which holds their 297 DRESS TWISTED ME. This translucent latex dress has fun ruffles and is laced up each side, and it is so revealing that I decided to add a couple of "modesty flowers" in photoshop. Your prize will not have those of course, and will be completely see-through :) The gift includes Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, with a color HUD that you can tint any color you wish...choose from one of several presets or use the RGB color grid to input your own selection. 

Quick makeup note of the night: I wanted a smoky eye look to go with the theme and colors of the clothing I was wearing, so I chose a wearable tester (like a demo, only better!) from alaskametro<3 called Black Magic eyeshadow 05. Their testers have one of each type of makeup from the set, for example this has one eyeshadow and one lipstick, that you can try on and ensure it fits and wears correctly on your head. I have always been happy with their makeup, from nails to lips to eyes and more, so I knew they were the right choice for what I needed.

We are looking for bloodstained black cubes, a very suitable match for the Damned theme this round. Good luck and don't get fooled by all the decoy cubes!

My first look of the evening is the Dutchess of Damned from ~KRAKT~, who are also offering a Duke of Damned for the gentlemen. This dress is included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with built in collar and laced back. 

Next we see the sensual Steel & Ink prize called S&I Damned THF 2019. The outfit is a single mesh piece and the boots are another, with each provided in Hourglass, Physique, and Maitreya sizing. The outfit has built in panties and curious red splashes...some of whatever that mystery liquid is also seems to have gotten onto the boots ;) I am digging the peeptoe boots with peeps of skin between the rear straps, too.

The prize from KeiPoP! is their Dark Nights dress, which comes rigged for the Maitreya mesh body. I love the shades of purple, and the star shaped cutout on the front. Handkerchief hems are always a plus, too, especially below the crossed straps around the waist.

The correct cube at Applique` Chic holds their AC: Damned Twisted Outfit, which like the prior gift above comes in a single Maitreya size. It is all one piece, and features this round's cube texture so it makes a fun souvenir of this hunt experience.

My final look of the evening is from Pink Cream Pie and is called !PCP :: Ruby Dress [Succubus]. The layered appearance shows artwork of a succubus in between the tears of a shredded top, but there are also a few rips in the rear as you can see. The prize includes sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies, plus a HUD with which you can toggle the panties on or off. You can't see them from this angle, but they are there ;) Or not, your choice with the HUD. If you are in the mood to wear somewhere that modesty is an issue, you could always toggle the panties off and layer some jeans beneath.

My day was nothing unusual, other than watching the first preseason hockey game of the season for my local/favorite team. It did not go well, LOL, but we got a good look at some of the new players who are expected to be the future of the team. Twisted and a Birthday

Hiya everyone! Tonight we will be taking a look at more prizes from the Twisted Hunt and its Inferno round, which lasts for the entire month of September. The hardest hunt in SL has us seeking cubes which for Inferno have a fiery texture and rotate slowly. The best advice I can give to guide you is to look over their website, and click the easel at any store that has one. Joining the group is very helpful too, there is just about always someone around to answer polite questions like if a certain store has a hint. There is a side hunt I'll be showing you a few prizes from that is a joint effort of Mishmash Fusion, MystRie, and EC Designs that will have you exploring all 9 levels of hell and claiming a prize on each. If you have had your fill of hunting for the day, and are looking to adorn your nails with a new mani/pedi set, I can point you in the right direction for that tonight as well.

Mishmash Fusion is a longtime fixture in the Twisted hunt, and will always be found at stop #42. Their cube holds both male and female prizes, the one shown above being the Ms. Beel Gown. The dress itself comes in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions, and the prize also includes the flame jewel tiara and flames you can add to each foot. All 10 decoys at Mishmash Fusion hold extra prizes too, collectible buttons for you to enjoy.

These prizes are from the Mishmash Fusion side hunt (their collaboration with EC Designs and MystRie) but I am linking to the mainstore in the ending credits to not give away anything about the side hunt. The top is their ~*MF*~ Camp Inferno Hoodie Ladies, in sizes for standard, eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. I found out what happened to my friend's wife, she passed away in her sleep due to a heart condition that she needed surgery for, and was waiting for her insurance coverage to kick in. His cancer treatments prevent him from working, so I guess money was tight but so tragic that it cost her her life. Let's Twist Again

Hiya everyone! Tonight we have more wonderful prizes from the Twisted Hunt, whose current round for Spring 2017 features the theme Infinity and color multi-green. Please remember that is is appropriately billed as the hardest hunt in SL, so I highly suggest joining the group and looking over their website for tips and guidance. The prizes are always worth the effort so I look forward to their hunts with nervous anticipation each spring and fall, knowing that I will be cursing the cubes yet so grateful for the rewards I earn by finding them. It makes a nice change of pace from staring at April the giraffe's hindquarters waiting for her to give birth, LOL!

If you would like to join me in being a nature spirit, find the hidden cube at Dramazone and open up those boxes inside, this is gift 1 of 2 and is a very generously detailed outfit. It starts with the dress in plenty of sizes (standard small, standard large, eBody, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique) and tall heels for Slink high or Maitreya. The added touches include mesh sleeves (standard sizes), the animated butterfly atop my head, attachments for the chest, upper arms, upper and lower legs, and those gorgeous roses. For an elegant look (or two), I eagerly dove into the prize from ~Krakt~ called Infinity Bliss Female, and yes there is a matching outfit for the men. This dress comes in 8 fitmesh sizes including Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink, and the detailed texturing is quite remarkable. On the right I paired it with the lovely prize from LOMO by [ IBAN ], their Mesh Scarf Mag Infinity, which has a handy resize HUD included. The jewels adorning it really add to its charm, as you can see in the closer view of the inset. It will go with so many favorites already in your inventory, and I expect it'll be very striking against a black or white outfit too.

One last look of the evening, this fun outfit is hiding in the cube at Steel&Ink. It is called Infinity Womens and has a few different shades of green highlighted with gold so it reminded me of both the ocean and St. Paddy's Day. The jacket and skirt each include standard mesh sizes plus Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, eBody (jacket only), Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine.
