Valentine Shop & Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some treats to show you from the Valentine Shop & Hop, and you probably know by now that all of the Shop & Hop events make me a very happy magpie :) Linden Lab brings together scores of fantastic designers, this time 280 spread over 14 regions, each offering discounted sales items and a gift (or more than one!) for us to enjoy. There are always stores that are new to me, and some I haven't visited in a while so it can be an adventure too. The event is open until the 19th, but with so many Valentine themed offers and gifts it does make sense to try to get there sooner if you can. I generally start at one location and loop around that whole region then move onto the next as they form a continuous rectangular loop. I keep the gifts sorted by region, so all of tonight's are from Sugarplum.

For my first look of the evening, we see the gorgeous .:{CW}:. Solstice Pearl Gown - Dove from Celestinas Weddings. I'm not sure if the name refers to Dove of Free Dove, or the soft dove grey color, but either way I am a fan :) There are Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes included in this lovely gift, notable for its deep V neck, open sides beneath the arms, and mermaid skirt with slight train. With the lace overlay and pearl trim on the bodice, this actually would make a very nice wedding dress if you were so inclined ♥.

Another stunning gift can be found at the UNA. booth, and it's called Sang Gift. We receive sizes for eBody, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies in this gift, which has a smooth satiny texture and a fun opening in the back. Like many of these gifts, one of the first words that comes to mind is 'romantic'. 

Maybe your tastes are running more casual this week, after all a Monday is almost upon us...if so, slip on into the UNICORN - JOICE SET. There are red and black versions of the top, shorts, and sandals, each to fit Freya and Maitreya mesh bodies. The tank top and tied shorts might be intended as pajamas, but that wouldn't stop me from wearing them in public, perhaps with different footwear?

{ViSion} has a wonderful gift for us, their Hailey Top & Denim Skirt. There is an unpacker HUD for each with the various sizes - Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn - so you can click to deliver just the size you want without filling your inventory with ones you don't need. The top comes with a HUD offering 36 colors for the lace trim, while the skirt's HUD has 37 hues each for zipper and hearts (the zipper pulls, front and back) and 6 colors for the built in panties. The zipper colors also tint the rivets on the pocket, for even more versatility. 

My final look tonight is the Naiomi Valentine Romper gift from [WellMade], a very familiar favorite store :) This strapless short romper fits eBody Reborn, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, with a 3 color HUD. The color not shown is red, also very appropriate for this time of year. Our pattern has plenty of sweet words written upon it, like love, valentine, heart, even I ♥ you. All that and it flatters our bum perfectly which is the inspiration for what we know as the shape of a heart. 

It was a quiet and chilly weekend, but not a bad one :) I watched the NHL All-Star skills competition and the game, which took place in Florida so it was very heavily themed for the locale. My week ahead looks somewhat warmer and not too busy, just a blood draw on whichever day works out the best. No fasting is needed which makes it so much easier, less planning and rearranging meds. Shop and Hop - Frosted

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we swing by the Shop & Hop winter shopping event, which consists of 9 full sims loaded with holiday offers from an impressive array of SL designers on beautifully decorated regions. Most of them are offering free gifts with no group tag needed to claim them, and those are what I will be showing you this evening :) All of tonight's looks are from the Frosted sim, as I found it easier to keep each sim separate to narrow down where in this huge celebration you can expect to find each designer. The festivities last until the 3rd of January, so you have several days left to visit and enjoy.

My first look is one of the gifts from AlaFolie, this one being their CHRISTINE outfit in a seasonal theme. It consists of the top (pull), skirt (jupe), and pompons (attachment on the neckline) each in sizes for Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Ruth. There is also a HUD with 6 textures each for top and skirt and 7 for the pompons. The sweater choices are various winter or Christmas designs, with solid colors for the other components. I love being able to mix and match like this :)

Another gift from AlaFolie is this striking ROSE dress, a shiny red strapless dress trimmed in ivory lace and roses. It is provided in Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Ruth sizes, with an unrigged rose pin that you can adjust to sit correctly on your neckline. The crimson color makes me think of Valentine's Day too, possibly influenced by the roses, although I would happily wear this any day of the year.

You know how much I enjoy pairing multiple gifts, so I have done so here and will start from the top :) That would be the "Not a morning person" sweater from Astralia Clothing, which reads "I'm only a morning person on Christmas" beneath trees and a reindeer. The cold shoulder style has long white bows for extra fun, and the gift includes sizing for Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies. As for the fantastic leggings I am wearing, those are the {ViSion} gift of Ivory Leggings - FATPACK. They come in Freya, Isis, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, with a whopping 30 color choice via HUD. I thought the green picked up the trees nicely from the top's design, and then on the right I just chose a random color so we have a pretty pale pink. They are so versatile in both style and color range, so it is an instant wardrobe staple for me.

Another duo of gifts came together for my final look of the evening. The top is from Sweet Kajira and is called * SK * Shirt Xmas 2020 SL Shop & Hop, provided in sizes for Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite sizes. There is also a HUD for 5 background colors, all of which have the "Gift collector working" text on the front of the shirt. My flirty little skirt is the {le fil casse} Denise Skirt Xmas Edition gift, a frilly micro mini that shows off a touch of bum cheek from certain angles. The colors are fun for the holiday season, and there are sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies provided. 

I am still listening to Christmas music, but will probably stop soon after the new year arrives. I didn't start until after Thanksgiving, but that means it has now been over a month so I think that is a decent celebration. There are plenty more Shop & Hop treats that I will be showing you in the next couple of posts, and then before we know it, it will be a new month and new year :) This one has certainly been unforgettable but for all the wrong reasons. Flirty Birthday Gifts

Hiya everyone! Tonight I will be showing you some of the generous gifts you can find at the Snowflake sim of the SL17B Shop and Hop event. There are 10 sims total that have been set up with talented designers, who have some special discounted selections for use to peruse as well as some thoughtful gifts to help celebrate the 17th birthday of Second Life. I have been here for nearly 13 of those 17 years, and am just so proud to be a tiny part of this incredible community! The Lindens work hard to support us, and there are many creative people out there who contribute in various ways so that our avatars and homes look terrific while visiting all the exciting sims we go to each time we log in. Of the 10 sims in the SL17B Shop and Hop, I have the gifts sorted by sim so I am clear on where to find each one, rather than expecting you to visit multiple crowded locations all at once. It is quite warm here in RL, so some snowflakes would be highly unexpected but in SL we can find those unique icy flakes just by teleporting. I also experienced some hair boredom it seems, LOL, as I was feeling like a quick change to blonde would be a pick-me-up :)

First up this evening, we have the .Safira. Angel SL17B Gift which is a trio of strapless mini dresses with built in panties. It includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies, each in Blue (seen on the left above), Blush, and Lilac (right). Those buttons are really working overtime to keep our dress in place, LOL, and I love the smattering of stars in various sizes.

My next look is courtesy of -Narcisse- and is their Skye Silk Romper, designed for the Maitreya mesh body. It is provided in 3 different colors: Coral (left above), Florida (right), and Nightshade which is a deep purplish hue. They have plunging necklines and slit sleeves pinned together partway down, and high cut legs for even more flirtatious views. 

The gift from AlaFolie is called Floralie Happy, and is a long strapless column dress with a wide layer of lace at the hem. It includes standard mesh sizes as well as Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine, with a HUD to change the main body and the top section each to your choice of 4 vibrant patterns. When you click from the bottom row, the texture appears on the main dress and that top part turns to black, then you can pick a pattern from the top row or leave it solid black as I did on the left here. There are even underpants included in system/BOM layers and an Omega applier for modesty.

There are two well-coordinated gifts at the LYBRA display, so naturally I decided to show them off together :) They are the aptly named SLB17 TOP and SLB17 SKIRT SET, each of which has 2 HUDs included, one with 3 solid color choices and the other with 3 patterns. The top, skirt, and matching panties (which make it a set, and you can wear the skirt without if you are feeling daring) all come in Alice, eBody, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes. The blouse has pretty crossed straps in the back and slightly flared hem, while the skirt dips low in the rear and has a fun ruffle. 

I kept the LYBRA skirt on to wear with the sassy little gift from {ViSion}. Their gift top is a narrow tube with 5 possible textures via HUD, and you will find arrows to adjust the transparency level on that HUD too; I went down 30% on the right to show you a glimpse of possibilities. The gift comes in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizing for several popular mesh bodies. I think my avi was feeling very "blonde bombshell" on the right ;)

Is it Friday yet? Okay I know it is nowhere close, LOL, but I am not going to get any decent rest until then it seems. I somehow didn't notice on my calendar that I have a doctor's appointment (podiatrist, stupid toenails that like to grow in wrong) tomorrow so that's 3 days in a row. This magpie prefers her own roost, not flying all over creation in RL...I will be fine of course, just disappointed that things worked out this busy this week. Thursday I am not leaving the house, then Friday I have dinner at my parents', followed by Saturday morning farmers' market. My appointment with my new family doctor earlier went very well, and I feel comfortable with her which is a relief. It is an individual practice in a medical office building, so she can easily refer people to specialists in the same location if necessary, for example there is a woman who does mammography in the building that I can go to when things calm down a bit. I liked that she is not pushy but she is guiding me towards improvements, like suggesting a book with gentle exercises that are good for neuropathy patients. Happy Anniversary Uber

Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit Uber, the very popular event that is celebrating its 5th anniversary this round with gifts from nearly every participating designer. No group is needed, just patience to click all those gifts ;) It opened on the 25th and is still quite crowded, so you may wind up having to teleport to one of their cam shopping sims (Harajuku and Daze Retreat) and using your camera controls to explore the main sim and pick up all the gifts. That is what I did, and it worked perfectly. There are so many generous and talented designers who take part, I truly feel it is worth the effort.

My first look contains two gifts from Bombshell, well really 4 since it is two colors with two patterns each. On the left I am wearing Fernanda in Baby Pink version 1, on the left in Yellow version 2. One of the versions adds white and grey stripes instead of different shades of the main hue. Each color and version is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, and Maitreya mesh bodies.

I combined 3 terrific gifts to create this fun look :) The top is the Mimiki Crop Top Bonnie black, provided for us in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. Its gathered style and bare shoulders add to the flirt factor. My skirt is from N-Uno and called Uber Gift // Skirt // Maitreya, so you can guess what size it comes in ;) It is very short with a satiny finish and vibrant coloring. I also decided to add a necklace to this look, the ~Nerido~ Noir Choker(Maitreya)-Black. It has a black ribbon with a tiny gem dangling from the front, and a delicate silver chain draped beneath. 

Sometimes I really yearn for something frilly and feminine, and if you do too then the gift from {ViSion} will fulfill that craving. It is their lovely Lingerie Victoria Gift @Uber and consists of the bra and panties each in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes. I decided this look could use a touch of jewelry too, so I added the .BF. Britty Choker from BEAUTY FACTORY. There are two separate chokers to wear together or separately, the top one with a single gem and the lower with 4 gems and a long dangling chain in the front with a fifth gem at the end. There is also a HUD that allows you to choose from 7 gem colors and 4 metals, so this is one versatile gift.

So many designers are celebrating this anniversary with double gifts, aren't they thoughtful? This pair of dresses comes from {le fil casse}, The Catherine Maitreya Fitted Dress in Mist on the left, Navy on the right. They are both decorated with lace at the deep neckline, and ruffles on the short flirty skirt. 

My final look tonight is a wonderful set of manicures from CAZIMI, their Tropical Punch Nail Appliers Gift. It includes appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink, with 5 designs tipped in pearly silver. I love the various shades pulled from the pattern, they mix and match really well or you can select one to go with your favorite outfit.

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am delighted to share not just one but two exclusive offers you can find at this round of DAZZLE. {Melt} is helping us enjoy the summer with their NuRetro Dress, exclusively at DAZZLE and for just $150L. This offer includes sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, with a 12 texture HUD in lovely seasonal colors. Birds are a personal favorite of mine, so these two selections from the HUD make me smile. I accessorized with some of the DAZZLE-ing exclusives from Beloved Jewelry from their Selenia collection - the necklace, earrings, and set of bracelets which are each $50L. I am a big fan of versatility, and this gorgeous jewelry brings that on terrifically as well. There is a menu when you touch any jewelry item that lets you choose from 12 metals, 33 gemstones, and 24 pearls, so you can get creative and match just about any outfit you desire. If you look at the inset, the large dark blue stones in the center are the gemstones, while the pale blue surrounding them are the pearls. There are helpful instructions in a notecard too, just in case you have any questions on how to customize your look.

Our next stop is the Cosmopolitan event, which might be crowded on the weekend but it is available until the 15th so no worries there. My top here is the gift from {ViSion} named Tisha, a vibrant pink strapless top tied in the front above a cute ruffle. It comes in Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. The jeans are a marketplace freebie from Delizio that are frequently seen on my blog :) I accessorized with the Cosmo gift from Miu called Jade Star Necklace, provided in an unrigged version along with rigged sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Maitreya, and Legacy. There is also a color HUD for the stars, 10 hues each for stars 1, 2, and 3 in rotation. I went with pinks to match the shirt but changed to blue and green with a splash of white for the inset's closer view. 

For this image, I decided to compare two gifts that appear similar at first glance, but side by side you can appreciate their unique features. On the left is the gift from adorsy, which comes in a Maitreya mesh size and has that fun single strap and a delicate floral texture. FashionNatic's group gift appears on the right, Sonia Strapless Top in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya. The blooms of roses are much bolder, and the neckline is slightly off-kilter for a flirty style. Honestly I can see both looking charming atop a long maxi skirt, or a playful mini, but jeans or shorts are always a possibility this time of year too.

This gift from Seniha will liven up your summer wardrobe, with its bare back, skinny straps, and daring hemline. It is the Eliya Dress Fatpack, and includes sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies, as well as a HUD that has 30 texture options. There are solids and patterns among them, so whatever your mood may be, the HUD should have you covered.

My final look of the evening features the gift from {ZOZ} called Soft Fall Polish Gift. Such beautiful manicures always grab my attention whether RL or SL, and among the 9 shimmery shades included here I do see a few that will work just as well with spring/summer wardrobes as with autumn ones. (I'm looking at you, lavender and mauve and soft green!) The gift includes appliers for Maitreya, Slink, Omega, and the designer's own ZOZ Bento nails. 

Are we ready to dive into the weekend? I am getting there, mentally I am all for it but there are still some practical things I have to take care of first. My company arrives in a short while (30 minutes or less, and no they are not a Domino's pizza, LOL) and we have so many things planned for Saturday that I will not be blogging tomorrow evening. Get Tinseled at Shop and Hop

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more gifts to share from the Shop & Hop event, which gives you the chance to explore 5 sims filled with discounted offers by 100 designers as well as gifts at every display. All of the gifts I am showing you tonight can be found on the Tinseled sim. I try to keep the various sims separate so you don't have to frantically search through 5 different crowded sims to try to find your favorite present, but I do suggest checking out each sim when you can. The event runs until the 4th of January, so several days remain to enjoy it.

This sim had a lot of tops as gifts, so I am wearing my favorite Marketplace freebie of jeans by Delizio (several colors included, system layers/Maitreya appliers/Omega appliers) with them, starting with the RIOT Nora Oversized Sweater. There is also a mens version included called Nico, and Nora comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. There is even a color HUD provided for both, 4 colors that all have the snowflake knit pattern on them. Please excuse the way my hands have decided to poke through the very long sleeves, which come past the fingertips.

I am still celebrating Christmas, especially in this gift from {ViSion} called Lena Christmas Top. It comes in two versions, with and without the white knit layer beneath, both in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, and Hourglass mesh bodies. I appreciate having the choice of being on the flirty side or the cozy side.

I got quite a chuckle out of our gift from VINYL, which is called 3AM Knotted Tee. It is included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, and reads "Dear Santa, I'm sorry for what I said before I had my coffee". Even if you don't indulge in caffeine, you probably have some sort of ritual when you wake up that you can sympathize with the stress if it is disrupted. I do not wake up instantly perky and cheerful, so I do occasionally need to apologize for things I say (or the looks I give!) when bothered too soon after waking ;)

There are eye-catching dresses too among the many gifts found on this sim, such as the duo from ALTAIR called Sukebe Knit New Years. There are gold and silver versions included, each in a Maitreya size, with a daringly low cut rear view. These are the most sparkly looking knits imaginable, and are suitable for a celebration any time of year.

My final look of the evening is by Valentina E., their lovely Isa Dress Olive. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, with a chic square neckline and delicate spaghetti straps. This is one of those colors that tends to be flattering to all, but especially for gingers I think :)

I managed to get some sleep eventually, then got a burst of energy and took these photos (and corresponding notes), and now I'm starting to feel worn out again. Hiya everyone! Tonight's post holds another handful of SLFO Hunt prizes, the marvelous free gridwide hunt organized by the SL Frees & Offers group. We are looking for an orange leaf, which is a lovely symbol of autumn, and there are hints as well as landmarks on their website. You will also find details about which stores are not ready yet or dropped out, so you'll need to skip those, making it very useful to have the website handy when you are hunting. 

First we have a lovely pair of prizes, starting with the zOOm - Bad Bunny Sweater. I decided to pair it with the versatile Alien Gizmo's Clarice Skirt Black&White, a micro mini skirt with plenty of details. Another prize you won't want to miss is the {ViSion} Kim Set in Red. It consists of the bra, panties, and chain seen here, each in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. The ruffles on the bra are very flattering, and such a perfect detail to have a ruby dangling from the end of the golden chain. 

I feel like this vibrant dress would be ideal for a hot date or a visit to a new nightclub, somewhere you want to turn heads. It is the prize from TRS Designs called Beach Dress Happy SLFO Hunt Gift, and includes eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions. The satin and sequins made me think of dancing, maybe salsa music.

My final look of the evening is from Petry Model, called OUTFIT SRBE. The top, skirt, and even the shoes are each provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique. The blouse is delightfully asymmetrical, and the peplum skirt is a darker shade of satin that is equally appealing.

For some reason my week has become all about rearranging plans, and it is not exactly my idea of fun. My evening cooking to freeze for next week was moved earlier in the day, which means less sleep so I am fairly groggy, and there is a snow/sleet storm headed here Thursday so I moved an appointment from then to tomorrow. A Bit of Everything

Hiya everyone! Much like yesterday's post, today I am sharing a variety of goodies from Midnight Manias to freebies to a dollarbie again from the Birds and Bees Hunt. Most of the hunts that are running right now are $1L per prize, so I'll probably feature them here and there even if my main priority is completely free items. We all deserve little splurges on ourselves though when we can, and a single linden isn't so bad :)

Yesterday I mentioned when blogging the Midnight Mania prize from Nerdy Girl that it had changed to a Tardis dress, well here it is! Cute pattern, same lovely style as the Star Trek dress from yesterday. I didn't get to the store in time to slap for the one that will be delivered in a few hours, but hopefully I'll be there right after midnight tonight to see what prize is available next.

Another wonderful Midnight Mania prize I get to share with you tonight is this apron dress from Sugar Button Boutique. The colors reminded me of Neapolitan ice cream, milk chocolate and strawberry and vanilla, so I headed to my kitchen to pose in it. In the rear view, you can see the adorable bow in the back to match the one at my waist in front.

Here is the Birds and Bees Hunt prize I mentioned, this lovely spring dress is the $1L gift from Beautiful Dangerous.I love the floral pattern, and this is one of my favorite colors. The studs adorning the neckline give it such a fun edge, too.

Finally, I stopped at the FabFree Headquarters to pick up a couple of new gifts there, and they are well worth sharing :) The beautiful mesh top is the gift from Ms. B. Designs and the shimmery satin look with the delicate hearts is made even better by the heart charm on the back! You know I couldn't resist this one :) I needed something for the bottom of course, hehe, so I was really glad to see the new gift from ViSion, these fun leggings that come with an applier HUD and a TMP installer along with system layers.

My own smiles have been found by looking out in my backyard, where there are 5 new groundhog babies playing with their mom as they emerge from their den beneath our shed.
