11 Years of Cosmo

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting round two of the Cosmopolitan event's 11th anniversary, where the celebration includes free group gifts in wooden crates at most of the designers' displays. The Cosmopolitan group is free to join, and what better way to stay informed about the twice a month, two week long event rounds? There are exclusive offers, discounts, and much more in every single round, from top designers you either already know and love, or are about to get introductions to in the best way :) If you visited the first round of April and claimed some of the group gifts, most of these are new (either different designer or same designer but new gift) so please feel free to visit again as all of the sales offers are new too.

My first look this evening is the stunning KR MAEVA DRESS -GREEN- gift from KENNY ROWLANDS. This lovely satin dress has a sheer black corset type layer for the bodice, with the satin gathered and draped to accentuate the bust. There are sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh bodies included in this thoughtful gift.

Next I combined two gifts for one breezy summer look. The top is our eXxEsS : Top No. 6 black gift, a halter with crossed straps in the back and a fun bared midriff. It fits Cinn&Chai, Hourglass, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. I love the subtle embossed texture that looks like tiny sequins :) As for the flirty shorts, they are the Galagher - Flavia Short Fatpack gift and are quite versatile. They have included sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, and there is a HUD with 9 colors each for the main shorts, waistband, and trim on the side slits. That creates plenty of possibilities to match nearly any top you could wish to wear it with, and the shorts are so fun for this time of year!

I kept the Galagher shorts on here but changed into the Cherry Up! Diana Top. Heart Black gift for this look :) The seams on the corset give a heart shaped look to me, as the sweetheart neckline is like the top of a ♥ and the boning nearly meets in the middle at the bottom. We receive eBody Reborn, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn Juicy sizes of this beauty. 

Summer will be here before we know it, and since we can visit tropical sims year-round, this wonderful [ADD] Marie Bikini - Pattern04 will always come in handy. Its unpacker HUD lets you choose only the sizes you need to deliver from eBody Reborn, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. The folder it gives you contains the top and panties along with a 7 metal HUD so you can change the look of those wide looped chains any time you wish. 

My final look of the night is the Via Fulo Christy Dress Gift, a sexy strapless mini with lots of color options. The included HUD has 12 choices each for the dress and the built in panties, which is provided in sizing for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. The HUD also has a button to turn the panties on/off, so you can hide them if you are feeling extra sexy ;) One of my favorite details is the intricate lace in the deep V of the neckline, as it goes really well with the pinstripes of the satiny dress.

Are we ready for Wednesday and the middle of the week? I feel a bit frazzled but not quite sure why. I tend to startle easily, so you should have seen me flinch and make a weird sound when I turned on a light earlier and the lightbulb blew out with a loud pop...I jumped like it stung me or something. Talk about silly :) I have more gifts from this round of Cosmo to share tomorrow evening, and a hunt or two up my sleeve for posts soon after, so my blog plans are going smoothly. Cosmopolitan Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are headed to the current round of the Cosmopolitan event, where they thoughtfully keep their Advent gifts available for group members that were released one day at a time during the previous round. Their rounds are just 2 weeks long, so I really do appreciate the bonus time to get and share these treats! With your free Cosmopolitan group tag active, you just need to click each glass ball or bauble on the tree near their front doors, and I find it easiest to derender the tree (right click it then choose derender then temporary) and I even derender each of the gifts immediately after claiming them to keep track of which ones I have clicked. If you want them to be visible again, just teleport away and return, as long as you chose temporary they will reappear :) Some of the gifts are specifically seasonal, while others can be enjoyed year round, so it is a terrific mix and I am grateful to every single designer who has a gift for us. Be sure to visit by the 7th of January when this round closes.

My first look of the evening is the very sexy RAPTURE Dress Sophia gift. I admit, at first I thought that right side was a pattern but those are actually tons of tiny cutouts! I zoomed in and realized yes, that is my nipple peeking through LOL, and if you look at my navel you can see that slightly too. There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies included, and the fabric is reacting to the ambient lighting in my home so I would say it is materials enabled. 

Are you still feeling festive? I sure am while wearing our Limited Addiction - Festive gift! It says "Festive AF" on the front of the cowl neck sweater, etched in gold on the black background that goes so nicely with the red striped sleeves. Both sweater and panties will fit Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. The panties aren't as thong-like as I expected from the front view, offering much more coverage than the strappy front. 

Another wonderful gift is the Avril Dress Red from .Safira., a long sleeved bodycon mini in two versions, with and without dots. They are each provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, with a HUD offering 7 colors for the pearls on the sleeves and 20 for the built in panties, plus the ability to turn the pearls or the panties off. The dots on the version I'm wearing on the right above are subtle, and the coloring on the pearls is more noticeable close up in person, yet I think the dress photographed beautifully :) Red is such a classic color too, a surefire way to turn heads in a sea of little black dresses.

I paired up two gifts here for a doubly appealing look, so let's start from the top! That would be the FashionNatic - Christmas Top gift, a tank top with straps that tie atop each shoulder with a bold bow, in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Legacy Nerido, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy bodies. The red and blue snowflakes almost look like flowers at first glance, don't they? Maybe it's just me ;) The fantastic pants are from eXxEsS and called Leather Pants No. 2 brown. Their unpacker HUD allows you to choose just the size you wish to deliver from CinnChai, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, or Petite. Each one comes with a HUD to choose from 3 metals for the zippers on the sides both top and bottom, and we can turn materials on/off with the HUD as well. I have to say, these are *chef's kiss* impressively textured and fit like a glove, so flattering!

For my final look tonight, I left on my new favorite leather pants from eXxEsS and slipped into the [FLIRT] Melek top gift. Now I have double leather but each with their own terrific texturing, feeling rather badass and loving it ♥. There are sizes for Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies provided, along with a 16 color HUD so you can change your look as often as you wish. The high waisted style of the pants works really nicely with the brief top, just like the scoop waistline flattering the peaks and valleys of the top's design. 

It was a quiet day but a hectic evening thanks to a west coast hockey game that is still going on after midnight my time. I get to see the player we shouldn't have traded, as an opponent which is painful but reassuring since he is doing well after beating cancer. On Christmas eve one of my cousins was dumbfounded that I still watch even though the team is doing so poorly, and I just chuckled. I will be blogging more of the Cosmo Advent gifts tomorrow evening, then I'm taking Saturday night off...the farmers market we usually go to is oddly closed this weekend, so we are going to a different one that is indoors and features Amish foods among other treats. Hair Fair Gifts - Noirette Sim

Hiya everyone! The Hair Fair is still going strong, and there are so many generous gifts for their 10th anniversary that I am just spending a few days sharing random sneak peeks of them with you, one sim at a time. Tonight's lovely presents can all be found on the Noirette Sim, and there is a handy dandy map on their blog with a list of stores so you know who can be found where. Well, let's have a look, shall we?

The first gift I'm sharing is not only a beautiful style, but a fun color that really grabs your attention! This is from Clawtooth and is called Misty Day in Plum Forgot, a very clever color name.

This sexy style can be found in the gift from .Olive. and is called the Steamer Hair, this is Satin and it is also included in Nior which is a dramatic black. Both colors come in a size called Bewbies, so it should fit over your mesh enhancements. I love the look of long wavy hair draped over one shoulder.

Alice Project has been wonderfully generous to us, giving us 6 different hairstyles with HUDs to adjust colors and streaks to our liking. The three I am showing from left to right are: Amy Mini Medley, Celeste II Mega Pack, and Poison II Mini Medley. The other gifts included but not shown are called Angelique Mini Medley, Indigo Mini Medley, and Julie Mini Medley. On the left, on Amy, I didn't use the streak option but I added another prize altogether; those adorable kitty ears are actually the gift from Mystic Tiger and come with a HUD for 5 different ear/band colors. It would work nicely with a wide variety of styles.

This sassy style is going to get a great deal of wear, as it happens to come in my preferred auburn with that pretty fade to nearly blonde. This gift is courtesy of Mithral and is named Magnesium, and also comes in a Busty size for those who need it. Please take note of my lovely earrings, well the one you can see, as they are the anniversary gift from eXxEsS. They come in light and dark, the light are shown and the dark is nearly black, very elegant.

This stunning style is our gift from Exile, called Jack or Jill All or Nothing. The first half of the name references the good news that there is a Jack male version included along with the Jill for the ladies, and the All or Nothing is the plethora of HUDs included for just about any color you can imagine! On the left I am showing the Prism color from the Wild Fusion 2 HUD, on the right is Teak from the Browns HUD with color streaks from one of the dots that surround each color circle. Play with the HUDs and have fun finding your favorite colors or combinations. The included HUDs are Fantasy 1, Fantasy 2, Grayscale, Natural Fusion 1, Natural Fusion 2, Naturals, Reds, Wild Fusion 1, Wild Fusion 2, and Wildcards, soooo many to enjoy!

Our final look this evening is a very cute style for summer, Despina Mega Pack from Tameless. There are several different hairs (wigs?) included, just pop one on and click it for the menu of specific color choices. Shown is the sandy blonde from the Blondes, and the others are All Colors, Blacks and Whites, Blues and Greens, Browns, Goths, Pinks and Purples, and Reds, each with their own menu of choices. Good news, that headband is color change also so you can match it to your outfit.

My outfit note of the night is that I didn't find any clothing on the Noirette Sim as a gift, so I am wearing a pretty paisley printed dress that is a marketplace freebie from Encore. I figured the strapless style would work best with a wide variety of hairstyles, and the delicate colors and paisley pattern wouldn't distract from the hair but still look pretty. Nails and skin are the same as the previous nights, keeping it simple :)

I hope everyone is having a fun weekend so far! Mine has been hot, hehe, but I really enjoyed my day and I am ready to relax in the air conditioning for all of Sunday ;) Sometimes it's best to just unwind. Magical magpie hugs to all of you!!
