Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features several gifts we can find for free on the SL marketplace. We don't even have to teleport anywhere to obtain these wonderful freebies, just open a website either inworld or on our PC. I searched for "Maitreya NOT demo", browsed to women's apparel, set search parameters for price between 0 and 0L, and sorted by newest first. You could change the word Maitreya to a different body brand of course, or something you are craving like dress or denim or lingerie. The "NOT" means it should omit the word following it from the search results, but some people get around that by typing it out D E M O in the name or putting an underscore before it like dress_demo so you will still see a few in your results. It is my pleasure to share my marketplace tips, and now to share some of my findings to tempt you :)
My first look of the night is the RosaChiclete Store - Set Vic Core - Maitreya outfit. It is rigged specifically to fit the Maitreya Lara body, and consists of the dress, shoes, and hair bow. We can adjust the bow's position but not size since it is rigged mesh. The outfit calls to mind a certain famous mouse in a way, but much more mature and sexy :) The dress has a delicate gold chain draped across the back, holding the deep V in place, and I love the way all the edges are trimmed in beautiful lace.
Another generous gift I found is the Top & Legging - Classic from Foxton. There are Legacy, Legacy Classic, and Maitreya sizes each for the top and leggings, and a HUD with 6 color choices that tint the entire outfit at once. The formfitting tank top is trimmed in the main color of the leggings, which have white stripes down each side. This is a fun look for whenever you are feeling sporty.
ALB is offering their MISSY dress shirt GIFT for free to everyone who visits their marketplace store, and it is lovely! The tank style dress has a slight V neckline and diagonal hem, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The taupe background is stamped with brighter colors like pink and orange, and I saw flowers and a peace sign in the embossing. So pretty!
Next I slipped into the Magic Story Jeny Dress, a striking long sleeved mini in Legacy and Maitreya sizes. The unpacker HUD lets you click either of those brands to receive a folder with the dress, a thong, and a 4 color HUD for the dress. The thong is modifiable so we can edit and change the color that way if we wish. That hemline is just begging to frame your favorite necklace, or maybe you find find a new one right there on the marketplace :)
My final look this evening is the Dress Zebra - Maitreya gift from Khally Fashions. It is designed to fit the Maitreya body as the name implies, and the unique style with one slender shoulder strap is a beauty. I am a big fan of animal prints that let us duplicate the patterns and color palettes found in nature.
It was a quiet day here, and I've been having fun trying to find out as much as I can about what March will hold in SL :) There are usually some hunts and events with fresh new rounds, and with Spring and Easter around the corner I expect we'll find some seasonal goodies to freshen our wardrobes. I'd been wearing lots of sweaters and sweatshirts, then romantic red took over my daily looks, but it's almost time for soft pastels and florals.
