Halloween Shop & Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to head over to the Halloween Shop & Hop 2025, and I couldn't be happier :) There are 18 spooktacular regions with 20 designers each, so 360 stores with discounts, new releases, and gifts for us to enjoy. I always enjoy the hard work that goes into decorating the regions, then of course the talent and creativity brought to each individual storefront as the designers show us their best. Tonight I'm featuring several gifts from the Aurelian region, as my habit is to share one region at a time to keep things somewhat organized. As always, I recommend taking a peek at the FabFree spreadsheet and sort the gifts by the bottom tabs as needed. Thanks so much to them for this!

My first look this evening is our ERSCH - Taytum Dress -violet- which is one of two gifts they are offering. The dress has bold puffy sleeves gathered twice, and is tattered at the hem so be careful about that opening ;) Our gift includes the dress and separate chain (draped over right shoulder) each in Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, Mounds, and Waifu mesh bodies, along with a HUD that offers 30 colors for the sleeves/collar, 40 for the deco (attached to front and back of chain), and 10 metals for the chain. Isn't the iridescence of the blouse beautiful?

I did mention two gifts of theirs, so of course I've got to show off the ERSCH - Ashley Suit -Halloween SPECIAL- as well! The top and skirt will fit Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Reborn, Mounds, and Waifu mesh bodies, with an amazing HUD offering 130 textures for the deco (this time that means straps and pockets) and 30 colors for the buttons. That is not a typo, there are a hundred and thirty choices there!! As a matter of fact, I was so busy counting those buttons a few times that I forgot to switch from the blue set to the pink set, so that version is not shown, sorry. 

Suddenly I'm feeling a bit Wicked in our MONOMANIA - Witch Me gift ;) We receive the jaunty hat and flirty dress, which comes in sizes for Legacy, Perky, Pushup, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The hat is unrigged so you can adjust it. I'm sure you can tell there's also a HUD included, and that offers 12 colors each for the hat, hat trim, dress, and dress trim. The trim in both cases is really straps and buckles, hauntingly attractive if I do say so myself. If the hat really isn't your thing, you can certainly still wear the dress without it and enjoy the great texture and style.

Next I was really impressed by the 'Amikko' 2025 S&H Gift which is wonderfully detailed and ready for the season. There is just one mesh size included, as well as an alpha layer to help hide any stray bits that feel like poking through. The neck and cuffs are trimmed with soft fur, and the skirt's autumn leaf texture is a dreamy nod to the beauty of fall. Did you notice the pumpkin on the front of the neckline? Okay to be fair it is a jack o'lantern since it's carved, but I can never quite recall how to type that out correctly and the spellcheck in here hates it. 

My final look of the night is our ::ALTER:: Akasha Bodysuit ~ Red Pattern gift, another fantastic treat that can serve as a costume. The bodysuit and tail are separate pieces, and will both fit Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu. The provided ears are unrigged so we can edit and adjust them, to get just the right position for your head size and hairstyle. I do love a good animal print, and it's so fun to have it in a fantasy color so something you don't actually see in the wild.

Kiyomizu Autumn 2022 Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we take a look at some of the prizes from the Kiyomizu Autumn 2022 Hunt, which starts at the Kiyomizu Mall and has us looking for ninja cats. When you find each one, just give it a click to receive your free prize, sounds easy enough...however some of them are hidden in unusual ways like shrunken down, flattened, or inside of another object. I recommend wireframe if you get stuck at a particular store. The mall locations with prizes have the scripted hunt signs that tell you which number stop the store is, and how many cats are hiding (all the ones I recall were just one) which also confirms that they are set up and ready. The ghosts floating above the walkways at the mall will send you to a custom link that shows which ones you have found and what URLs you still need to visit. We have almost 2 weeks left for the hunt, as it wraps up on the 10th of October.

First I slipped into the adorable GARDENIAn's kana prize called Camisole Pink "usa-chan". It is designed to fit Maitreya mesh bodies, and has a sweet pink bunny surrounded by flowers and butterflies on the fabric. I know this is an autumn hunt, but I think I like this for year-round wear depending on what we pair it with :) For example I'm wearing it tonight with the white pair from the fatpack of jeans from Delizio that are free on the marketplace.

Next I changed into the charming M*Motion C22 KYMZ Autumn Gift. This figure hugging dress with bare shoulders fits the Maitreya body. It looks great with the vibrant fall leaves pattern, and sheer wide ruffle on top. Did you notice the zipper in the back? It is an especially nice detail since many SL fashions leave me wondering how we would get in and out of them in RL ;)

If you find the cat at Amikko and pet it (click it), you will receive their Autumn Knitted Dress I'm enjoying above. It comes in 3 classic sizes and 3 fitmesh sizes (S, M, L each) for classic avatars, along with Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing. For my final look of the evening, I am wearing the lovely Autumn Setup from MeltingDots Freebie Store. The top and skirt each come in sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, plus a fitmesh M size for classic avatars. Then there is a HUD provided with 8 seasonal textures to choose from (entire outfit all at once) and 2 shades for the waistband and trim. The HUD also has arrows we can click to adjust the proportions of the texture, in other words make it larger or smaller on the clothing, just click them to try it out and you can click the center circle between the arrows to return it to default. I really recommend grabbing a landmark for this store and passing it on to anyone you encounter who is new to SL, since there are lots of gifts here that are classic avatar-friendly and plenty of non-clothing items that are really fun :)

I had a decent day at home, and I am looking forward to the new month soon because it always means new rounds of hunts and events to explore :) Sometimes I find familiar ones, and other times they are just beginning their SL experience. Things change quite often in SL, but one very consistent thing is that we can always find something to do, somewhere to visit that we haven't been before, or someone to chat with. Kiyomizu Summer 2022 Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are exploring the Kiyomizu Summer 2022 hunt, which starts at the Kiyomizu Mall and continues at several of the designers' mainstores. The free gifts can be claimed by locating the ninja cat hiding in each store, and I usually start by perusing the mall and looking for the hunt signs to see if a particular store is participating or not. The scripting for this hunt is fantastic, as those signs help keep track of how many cats are in each store and if they are ready or not. For a personalized list of all the URLs and which ones you have found compared to where you still need to visit, be sure to click a floating ghost above any of the walkways at the mall. These cats can be resized fairly small and hidden inside things (walls, boxes, etc.) and there are no hints, which makes this hunt relatively tricky but it is still very worthwhile and fun. This is the final week of the hunt, as it wraps up on the 10th, but it is still very doable in that timeframe.

If you have ever wondered if a swimsuit can be strapless yet strappy at the same time, look no further than the prize from M*Motion. Their C22 Strap less One-piece is designed to fit the Maitreya mesh body, and has a beautiful pattern of pastel triangles. The open back is where you'll find the straps, crisscrossed to hold things in place perfectly.

I also found the ninja kitty at [Amikko] so I was able to claim their Kiyomizu Hunt 2022 outfit. The dress comes in a fitmesh M size for classic avatars as well as versions for Maitreya and Slink Physique mesh bodies, and the kiwi slice earrings are a playful touch that really complete the look. I think it's very fitting for summer since I do think of fresh fruits this time of year :)

Next we get to take a look at the charming SHOP KERO Saree hunt prize. The dress is a single piece that fits fitmesh M as well as Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. Then there is a handy HUD that offers 8 colors each for the dress and shawl, with arrows that enable us to adjust the proportions of the pattern on each. As you can see on the right, I made both patterns a little bit bigger as an example.

I also found a wonderful prize at MeltingDots Freebie Store, their adorable Summer Dress Dots. This ruffled sundress is included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes, with a similar HUD to the prior gift above. It lets us choose from 6 colors for our background, and we can adjust the size of the polka dot pattern with the arrows. i am a fan of polka dots and sometimes lean towards the larger sizes, but other times the daintier the better. This way I can suit any mood or whim!

My final look of the evening is the Hapi*Rabi Stacy - ksh prize, a truly eye-catching beauty of a dress in Legacy and Maitreya sizing. The details make the difference here, from the bows atop each shoulder to the plunging front and back, to the frill at the hemline. The white floral pattern looks so sweet on the soft teal fabric, and I can easily see myself wearing this a lot throughout the summer and beyond.

I finally watched the rest of Stranger Things today, and was blown away by everything that was revealed. It was intense, intriguing, and I was brought to tears multiple times. Next season is bound to be just as good, although possibly even darker so I will need to be prepared. Kiyomizu Winter Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am very pleased to share some free prizes from the Kiyomizu Winter 2021-2022 Hunt, a seasonal event that I look forward to every three months. We are looking for ninja cats in many of the stores at the Kiyomizu Mall, then visiting several mainstores for the rest of them, and the best way to know where to look is by seeking out the hunt signs and then clicking a floating ghost outside the stores. They will give you a personalized web link to show you which kitties you have found and what the landmarks are to the ones you have not, all tracked by the scripting in each sign and cat. As you can tell, I am very impressed by how organized it all is :) There are no hints which makes things tricky, and some of the ninja kitties have been resized so harder to find if smaller. While I generally am not very efficient in wireframe, I do resort to it if I really have trouble in a particular shop. We have almost a week remaining to find all these prizes, as things wrap up on the 10th of January.

My first look comes from M*Motion and is their C21-06 CYMZ Trench Coat prize. It is created to fit the Maitreya mesh body, and has a beautiful combination of charcoal and deep red in a very flattering design. The hood is such a nice touch, along with its drawstrings and the Peter Pan collar. 

I also found the kitty at GARDENIAn's kana so I could claim their Off Shoulder knitted-minidress "Rabbit" gift. It is sized for the Maitreya body (you will find this quite a bit among these prizes, if they are just one size it will probably be Maitreya) and has a fun knit texture with adorable bunnies and bows decorating it. This is the type of short dress that could also double as a top if you wanted to layer some pants beneath, for modesty or warmth.

The Amikko Hunt Gift 2021 winter Kiyomizu is two terrific looks in one. Its slip dress and jacket each come in a fitmesh M as well as a Maitreya mesh body size, and since they are separate pieces they can be worn individually or layered together. I like the silvery straps on the dress against the green and red, like tinsel or a star on a tree :) The bells on the upper right jacket pocket are a cute nod to the holidays too.

I adore sweaters with rich knit textures like this *21-03 kiyomizu winter hunt Sweater prize from **milky-way. This beauty fits the Maitreya mesh body, and has a soft seafoam color that will pair wonderfully with any pants or skirt that tickles your fancy. I promise to wear bottoms with it when I head out in public, LOL, and am starting to wonder why on earth I did not do so here...tired brains make strange decisions ;)

You may have noticed that my nails are polished tonight, and I am happy to share a closer view since they are another hunt prize :) These are the KoCha - Nail_Green&Red 2021-2022 which is a mixed mani for the Maitreya body. Most of the nails are a solid deep green that almost look black in some lighting, with red berries on a couple of the nails. Then we have a deep red accent nail on our middle fingers, adorned with holly leaves and berries. I noticed that it painted all of my toenails too in the rich green shade. All in all, this is a lovely look that I personally would wear for more than just Christmas season.

Make Your Soul Bloom

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are going to take a look at a few more wonderful offers from The Wash Cart Sale and its Make Your Soul Bloom final round. The dresses are dramatically styled with a long sleeve contrasting a bare shoulder, and side slits all the way up to the waist. So sexy!

Over to the Kiyomizu Hunt, you will be happy to see that there are two generous gifts to be found in separate cats at Amikko. This is Amikko Gift A / Spring knitted top & jumper, both of which are crafted for the Maitreya mesh body. I do enjoy a layered look like this, and the floral pattern brings it into spring nicely. If you prefer, you can wear the jumper without the top beneath, or maybe you have a different shirt you would like to try it with? I am a firm believer in making looks your own, whatever it takes to do that.

One made the ruffle on the bralet sheer (as seen on the right above) and the < arrows > adjust the proportions of the texture. I made it smaller on the right, for more petite polka dots and daisies. 

We are almost to the midpoint of the week, and I am doing pretty well...my arm is much less sore from the injection, just a bit of lingering ache from certain movements that I expect to go away completely soon enough. It is getting warmer out which is refreshing, and I hope to see the groundhog that lives in my backyard again soon :) Eventually there will probably be babies too, and I love watching those little cuties exploring their world and learning how to forage. Winter in Kiyomizu

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I would like to invite you to the Kiyomizu Mall, where their seasonal hunt is currently taking place. It is the Winter 2020-2021 round, and lasts until the 11th so you have a few more days to find hidden ninja cats in stores around the mall or at some main stores. The best way to see where you still need to locate kitties is to click a ghost floating above the walkways at the mall, which creates a personalized website showing landmarks of each hunt object. The signs are impressively scripted, so it knows how many cats are ready and available at each stop. This hunt can be tricky since there are no hints given, but many of the stores (especially their Kiyomizu locations) are fairly small so you are searching a tiny area. I have so much fun with these hunts each time a new season arrives!!

One of the first stores I usually visit is M*Motion, and their prize for us is this beautiful C20 KMYZ Winter Gift. The full outfit is designed to fit the Maitreya mesh body, and there is a HUD included to turn the pants on or off so you can wear it either way. The navy blue silk looks so pretty with the embroidered design!

The ninja kitty at [satus Inc] will give you their Baye Surfing Swimwear Red when you find him and gently pet him :) It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, and has a really unique design. The high neck and solid front give a serious look, but from the side or rear you can see the scoop midriff cutouts and laced back opening that bring out its playful side. 

I also found a furry friend at Shiorin's Mart, and was rewarded with their =CS= KIYOMIZU HUNT PRIZE 2020WINTER. This consists of the mini dress with cutout and matching panties, each in sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The wintry knit texture is delightful for the season, isn't it?

This charming look is our prize from **milky-way, whose store I always look forward to visiting whether during the hunts or any time of year. Their "*20-09 jumper-skirt kiyomizu hunt" outfit is a single piece with a layered look, made to fit the Maitreya mesh body. The brick red jumper has a fun zipper on the side, and contrasts beautifully with the lacy puff sleeves and delicately buttoned neckline of the blouse beneath. 

Are you ready to revisit Christmas fashion? The 3 prizes from Amikko will combine to help you do just that. The top, skirt, and hat are hiding with separate ninja cats, with the top and skirt each provided in a fitmesh version and a Maitreya size. The hat has a cute snowman atop it, with holly at his base (almost said feet...) and the top has an image of Santa with his sack of goodies. I got a kick out of the skirt too, with its bold striped layers and the hem is slightly longer in the back of this full style. 

It has been quite a day here in the USA, and I am deeply saddened by the violence and distress that gripped the nation's capital earlier. I know I make it a point not to bring political commentary to my blog since it's my desire and my choice to keep this for SL only, so I will just say that my heart is heavy and I am grateful that my friends in the Washington DC area are safe. All I want is for this country to find peace within itself, and we all need to work together for that to happen. To all my non-American readers, please be patient with those of us who are trying to process everything that is happening and join us in hoping for a brighter future. Autumn in Kiyomizu

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more Kiyomizu Autumn Hunt 2020 gifts to share, all of which you can claim for free by finding well-hidden ninja cats in various stores either in the Kiyomizu Mall or in the main stores of the designers who have satellite stores there. When you are strolling the walkways of the mall, you will notice floating ghosts that you can click to visit a personalized website so you know which cats you've already found and which you still need to discover. The landmarks to each are on that site, making it convenient to visit them. The scripting for all of this is so impressive! It keeps things very well organized, and you can tell immediately if a store is not ready or has moved. Please keep in mind that the kitties might be resized or hidden inside other objects, so there is a challenging element to this hunt in addition to the absence of hints. As you can see though, the prizes are well worth the effort. 

My first look is the prize from Jury PoP, called Frilled blouse dress-Red. It is a one-piece with the look of a layered blouse and skirt with suspenders, in rich crimson and charcoal gray. The gift includes Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing.

There are two ninja cats hiding at the Amikko store, and I am showing you both prizes combined in this look. The first is Prize A, a fur dress in 2 versions that are each included in fitmesh and Maitreya sizes. Prize B is a snuggly pair of high leg socks (from mid-thigh down to mid-foot) in a Maitreya size for flat feet. You can wear these together as I have or combine them with any outfits that tickle your fancy, it's all up to you once you find those kitties.

This versatile prize comes from the MeltingDots Freebie Store, whose landmark I believe we should all hold onto and share with any new resident we meet who needs guidance and free clothing :) This is their Long Skirt Dress, in a classic M size as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. There is also a HUD provided with 9 patterns and 15 solid colors each for the top, sleeves, belt, and skirt. There are also arrows to adjust the size of the texture, so I would suggest giving them a few clicks to see what you think. You can always click the circle in between the arrows to return it to the default proportions.

I also found the kitty at [satus Inc] and was able to claim this flirty Mirel Deep Cleavage Top & Skirt Purple. The blouse has plunging openings in front and back, and the high waisted skirt is daringly short. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. 

I am always fascinated by the way SL celebrates Halloween, even if many of our residents do not live in countries that traditionally celebrate it. I guess the popularity of spooky movies and Goth type fashion helps :) These gorgeous nails are the 2020 Autumn Hunt Nail Maitreya from Midoriya, and they are easy to apply to your Maitreya nails (fingers and toes at once) with just a click. The matte black background is decorated with dazzling shimmery rainbow (holographic?) seasonal images like crosses, skulls, and bats. This manicure suits any length or shape nails, and can coordinate with tons of fun outfits.

Another Look at Kiyomizu Hunt Goodies

Hiya everyone! Yes, I have some more Kiyomizu Autumn 2015 Hunt prizes to share, some wonderful treasures that deserve to be seen. This seasonal hunt is continuing its tradition by offering these gifts from their new mall location along with several main stores of the designers, and I am thrilled to be able to not only find these great prizes but help spread the word about the new home of the mall.

I love this outfit, so a huge thank you to M*Motion for offering us this adorable halter dress with attached bolero as prize #3 in the hunt. If you look closely you'll notice that is sheet music as the delicate pattern on the dress, which is a plus since it adds a reminder of another type of beauty. Since I don't read music, I can just pretend it's my favorite song of the moment :)

Plenty of goodies to see here, we have the one size fits all Halloween t-shirt from Amikko which is prize #26, just find that ninja cat and give him a little tickle (click) and you can enjoy this flowing mesh shirt too. I accessorized with the treats from cat #58 from Peekaboo, the Halloween necklace and earrings. I was glad to share a closer view of each so you can see the details, including their store name and the words Happy Halloween on the necklace. The texture of the pumpkin on the earrings actually swirls around a bit, black and orange, very cute!

For a bright and alluring top, don't miss prize #27 from Kai. I am loving their cross straps and funky pattern. I enjoyed the chance to accessorize again, this time with earrings from Crystal Dream and bracelets from DAMIANII. The earrings are #34 in the hunt, and feature sweet mini pumpkins peeking at us. The bracelets actually come in 3 colors but I am showing 2, the dark red and the black stone (which I moved to my left wrist as they all defaulted to right wrist and all atop each other so not separately visible) that you can see a closer view of the neat texture in the top inset, also includes a purple not shown. Those are prize #40 and not to be missed! In case you're wondering about my jeans for the past 2 pictures, they are a marketplace freebie you will find the info in the credits :)

Finally, if you need to get dressed up but can't decide on a color to wear, how about a dress that comes with a HUD featuring 10 different lovely hues? That's exactly what we get from the cat hidden in #53 Sugarplum, which comes in standard mesh sizes along with alpha layer and a system layer bra and underpants set for modesty. Being in an accessorizing mood by then, I was pleased to add a very sweet pair of earrings from *LAT.43N* simply called Ribbon Pearl Earrings, neutral enough to match all the colors of the dress and then some. This is prize #56 (2 of 2) because there are 2 cats hiding at their location; the other has another pretty pair of earrings for all of us.

Nail note of the night: I did pick up the newest Hello Dave group gift called In Disguise, and it's a really fun HUD with 6 different mustaches on a silvery background so you can mix and match your nails' hairy little disguises :) I freely admit that they made me giggle, and this is the kind of week where I need all the extra smiles I can get so huge thanks to Maia Gasparini who is our Hello Dave designer.
