Black Friday Bazaar

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I would like to invite you to a special seasonal event, the Black Friday Bazaar 3 by Evil Bunny Productions. Black Friday refers to the day after American Thanksgiving, traditionally when the Christmas shopping season gets rolling so there are massive sales at most stores. This trend continued when online shopping became popular, and carries over into SL quite a bit as well. So what will you find at the Black Friday Bazaar? Plenty of exclusive offers at 25-50% off, lots of great ideas for your holiday gift giving, and customer appreciation gifts for you from nearly every participating designer. You will need the Evil Bunny Hunt group tag (free to join) active to claim these gifts, and those are what I will be showing you tonight. The event just opened and lasts until the 1st of December, and you can find the gifts inside black drawstring bags that have a framed photo of the gift next to each one. 

This lovely dress is the group gift from g-spot called Loli Dress. It is a fun strapless style with a bubble skirt and contrasting belt with bow. The gift includes sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies. I accessorized with another gift, the Black Bazaar Necklace from Jazabelle. The faceted heart shaped gemstone in the middle of the wings has a beautiful rainbow effect, so I made sure to share a closer view in the upper right corner. What do you plan on wearing it with?

My next outfit is the **GIULIADESIGN** gift called Follettina5. The dress has a built in belt and some intriguing cutouts with lots of little ties to hold things in place, and it and the thigh high boots are each included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. The colors are fun for the season or year round if you wish.

I felt so seductive in the +Uni Boutique+ Cobra Dress - Black Lace gift! It is an alluring strapless mini with slits on both sides, in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. The bare neck seemed to call out for some adornment, so I added one of the many varieties found inside the [WitchCraft] Agate Necklace gift. There are a total of 8 unrigged necklaces in there, 4 gold and 4 silver, so a nice range of colors to match any mood or clothing. 

Grumble is actually the event organizer here, well their designer runs Evil Bunny Productions, so it is not a surprise to see that they are offering a treat for us too :) This is their Sleeveless Tee - AFK, and it is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. The hemline is intriguing, as it rises in the middle (both front and back) with points on each side. The "AFK" is emblazoned across paint splashes, and probably stands for Away From Keyboard. I am wearing it with my favorite Marketplace freebie, the jeans from Delizio which come in several colors as system/BOM layers plus appliers for Maitreya and Omega. This is the blue, but there is also a lighter blue and black along with several other options. 

The blue jeans from Delizio look fantastic with my final gift of the evening, which is the Madcatcreations Boho Fall Cardigan and Tank - FATPACK. The same black bag contains a gift for the guys too, so please pass that information on to anyone who might find it useful :) The sweater set here comes in Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, and each individual color is packed separately via HUD: dark mauve (above left), green (right), rust, black, blue, purple, red, violet, and yellow. That is certainly enough choices to enhance any cool weather wardrobe!

Hair note of the night: Truth Hair released their newest style, Serenity, and I have very little self control when it comes to their awesome styles so I rushed over and tried on the demo right there in the store. I was in good company too, LOL, as there were many others interested in the new offering. I picked up my usual Redhead pack, although if they do a Black Friday sale I may be tempted to get the blondes or another color pack.

I feel like this weekend was at least 3 full days long...time is being weird again for me. Living through strange times like this will have that affect I suppose. I watched some videos on how to cut my own hair, since it has been well over a year since my last salon visit, and realized that it is beyond my abilities. It is so long and frizzy though, and in desperate need of shaping, so I will most likely call Tuesday morning and see if I can get an appointment. The salon I go to is near a community for older adults (55+) where many of their clients live, so I trust them to take extra precautions these days. I am asking first of course when I call, to make sure I feel comfortable with their protocol. Boo Bunny Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post will show you some wonderful hunt prizes from the Boo! Bunny Hunt 9. It is a $1L gridwide hunt in which we are looking for a black and orange striped piece of candy, all wrapped up and looking ready to be placed in a lucky trick or treater's bag. There is a picture of it on the hunt's website, as well as the usual array of landmarks, hints, and preview photos for many of the prizes. It is always a good idea to have a hunt's website open while you are working on claiming the goodies, at least I have found over the years and especially when (like this hunt) the landmarks to the next stop are not included in the prize folders. My guess is that it's easier for the organizers to keep the locations up to date if something changes, instead of waiting for a busy designer to change the landmark from inside their prize. Speaking of prizes, there are some really tempting ones to be found inside these candies!

Our first look comes from Grumble, whose designer happens to be the organizer of our exciting hunt :) Their gift is the sweatshirt with a Boo! Bunny on it and the short ruffle skirt, each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. The skirt is packed separately among the sweatshirts, so be on the lookout for that to get the full benefit of this wonderful prize.

I kept the Grumble skirt on here, but changed into the prize from ZFG which is called CACKLE. This cropped hooded sweatshirt has a witch flying across the front on her broom (with a familiar along for the ride!) and bats on both shoulders. It is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, with a HUD offering 5 colors to pick from. I personally am a big fan of purple, but all the colors are great choices.

+Uni Boutique+ has their Paris Dress - Evil Queen hiding in their piece of candy, although I do not feel evil in it at all; more like elegant and sexy! It includes eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizing, with daring beaded straps and a bronze shimmery texture. 

Sometimes we need a little something alluring for underneath our clothing, or to show off to a special someone ;) The prize from Tip 2 Toe will provide just that with a seasonal flavor. It is simply called Boo! Bunny BOM, as the bra and panties are each provided in a BOM (system) layer to be worn with compatible mesh bodies or even on the classic avatar. The peaks of black lace are beautiful, and are a charming contrast to the spooky-fun pattern of the fabric.

For my final look of the evening, I found the candy at Crayon's Closet which was a new store for me to explore. Their impressive Halloween Dress has a webbed neckline both front and back, and both sides have black leather panels flanking a center panel decorated with seasonal candies and jack o'lanterns. The dress and a matching panty liner are each included in eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizing.

For some reason it seems like the people in my life are having serious computer problems lately, and I feel awful for them! The latest were my dad's PC completely giving up and needing to be replaced, and now Xan is working on restoring his system from what might have been an operating system update gone wrong. It Was a Graveyard Smash

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we continue along the Monster Mash Hunt path, looking for those cute ghosts hiding behind a tree with the full moon above them. You can hunt for the hidden one to claim each prize for just $1L, or you can purchase the prizes at the hunt sign for $25L if that is your preference. The hints, landmarks, and most preview photos are on the hunt website, so you will want to have that available while you take part in the adventure. The hunt lasts until the 31st, Halloween, which is quite fitting of course :)

When you claim the prize at Georg Bellic Design, you will receive both the male and female prizes they have designed for this hunt. This of course is the ladies' gift called Ella Dress & Jacket, which are linked together and worn as one piece in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. There is also a HUD provided with 3 choices each for our dress and the jacket, so you can mix and match as you wish.

This cozy looking outfit is our hunt prize from The Sissy Bar, which they have simply named Monster Mash Hunt. The sweater comes in standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body sizing. The coordinated leggings are included in system/BOM layers and an Omega applier, so there is considerable compatibility there. 

This prize from Dragonmoon Designs just screams Halloween! It is called [DD] Lady Ghost MMH, and is one of two hidden hunt objects since there is one for the men also (so be sure to follow the correct hint!). The long jacket and short shorts are each included in sizes for Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. The belt is built into the jacket, which also features bold cuffs and collar. The gift for guys has a preview image on the hunt's site so you can see if your favorite male avatar wearer is interested too.

I am really impressed by the prize from Uni Boutique, which is this lovely Strapless Mini - Gothic Red. It is technically only strapless in the front, as there are two golden chains across the back and one leading up to the neck where it loops around front to create a beautiful choker. It comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizing. I think I will find myself wearing this beauty year-round!

My final look of the evening is also red and black, and distinctly flirty. It can be found at Dixie Designs, and is their DD Skull micro mini Blood which comes in two versions. The original and sheer are each provided in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizing. I am wearing the sheer version here to show you both front and back, and in the original style it is solid black beneath the red skull overlay, even where you see the sheer areas here. Fun side note - this store is located on one of my favorite sims, The Wash, where there will be another cart sale next month :) 

When someone needs to speak to me on the phone rather than via text, I immediately feel a strong sense of dread that it is going to be bad news. So when my mom said she needed to call, it was not a surprise that she had to start with "I think she's okay, but...". Long story short (or at least shorter), she has elevated blood pressure and an irregular heartbeat so they are trying to get her admitted to an overcrowded hospital. She has been waiting in the emergency department for more than a full day at this point, thanks to a spike in covid cases in the area recently. I pointed out to my mom that if something were seriously wrong with her, they would be pushing her to the front of the line for a room, so in a weird way it might be a positive sign that they aren't in a hurry. She will keep me updated, and I will do my best to stay calm. Meanwhile I hope you've all enjoyed your weekend, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Midweek At Home

Hiya everyone! Tonight I decided to feature a few Stay at Home Club gifts, since they are closing their website on the 25th and all the participating stores will have the choice to take the gifts down at that time. The deadline is creeping closer and closer, so it felt like time to switch gears back to them :) I really do admire the organizers as well as every single designer who offered gifts throughout these long months, to lift our spirits through difficult times. It is a compassionate effort and I believe it helped our SL community to focus on the safety of the virtual world we all enjoy so much. My time in SL has always been a haven and often an escape from harsh realities, and even more so lately. These gifts are completely free, no group needed, although some stores use vendors that we have to pay $1L and get refunded so the system keeps track of it for redelivery purposes. 

My first look of the evening is one of two gifts at Cats Claw Designs, their dazzling CCD_Jocie Wrap Dress Black Gold Twirls. This halter style mini comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and even a standard M for classic avatars. The lace trim adds an extra flirt factor, and the golden waves are a beautiful touch.

Cats Claw Designs is also offering this charming _CCD_Ava Corset Mini Dress for all visitors, and it is quite versatile. The dress itself is provided in eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique sizes, plus a standard fitted version. The included HUD offers 23 textures for the dress and 6 for the belt, so you can have fun mixing and matching. The extra short flared skirt with asymmetrical hemline can be a bit cheeky from behind, so you could layer leggings or jeans beneath if you wish, especially in the cooler months.

My next stop was Rogue Echo, where I was delighted to find another new gift for a total of 5 generous treats for the Stay at Home Club. This is the {RE} G Lily Wrapped Mini, and it comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The wide sage colored belt holds the dress closed perfectly, and I really like the soft floral pattern.

I also visited Luvdiva Fashion again, where I found a new Stay at Home Gift named Josie. She includes the top and skirt each in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, plus the coordinating tied platform heels for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. The pink and white block pattern certainly caught my eye, as pink is a favorite color of mine.

For my final look of the evening, I chose one of the two currently available gifts from +Uni Boutique+, this one being their Spring Dress - Green. It has a beautiful embroidered lace inset in the neckline, and a playful slit on the right thigh. Elemental Desire Hunt

Hiya everyone! Tonight we have some $1L hunt prizes to enjoy, from the current round of the Dirty Little Secrets hunt called Elemental Desire 3. The hunt object is pictured on the hunt's website, a grouping of 4 circles that each have an element (air, water, earth, fire) depicted on it. There is a $1L womens path, a $1L mens path, and a $25L path, so be sure to follow the hints to find the correct prize. The hunt runs until the 25th of the month, so you have plenty of time.

My first look has me feeling provocative in pink! It is the prize from Uni Boutique called Loryne Dress - Pink, and it includes Altamura, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Tonic Curvy sizing. The lace-trimmed hemline is notably short, and I love the way the back is tied with a long floppy bow. 

Next we visit Cats n' Kittens Boutique, where I was able to find their very generous prize. The Fire & Ice Set of Dresses includes both the Fire on the left above, and Ice on the right, each in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. They have built in sheer skirt layers for a little more fullness, and a lovely X strap in the front that loops around the neck. 

Many hunt paths lead us to The Sissy Bar, a store whose name comes from the term for a part of a motorcycle which makes sense with the store being located near a motorcycle club :) This is their terrific DLS/EDH Tied Top & Booty Shorts outfit, with a delicate floral pattern on the top that looks lovely paired with the solid grey of the fluttery shorts. This prize is flirty without being overly revealing, which is precisely my style.

The prize from LOMO by [ IBAN ] is loaded with sex appeal too, as you can see...it is called 281 Dress Paisley Club, and consists of the dress (top), skirt, and chain each in sizes for Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya. There is also a HUD provided with 17 texture choices (10 patterned and 7 solid colors) for the top piece and the skirt. It also has buttons that my poor eyesight could not read very well, LOL, but seemed to be to adjust the transparency of the fabric. I accidentally made the top invisible at one point, which should teach me a lesson not to randomly click buttons that I cannot read ;) Small print, especially light words on a dark background, is my downfall with my particular vision problems, but I can certainly see how lovely this dress is!

My final look of the evening honors two elements, fire and water. They are the Dragonmoon Designs prize called [DD] Elements Top, a long sleeved blouse tied in the front for a belly baring look. Each color comes in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizing, so most mesh or classic avatars can find a size to fit them. I am wearing it with some free jeans from Delizio found on the marketplace, the white pair out of their fatpack that includes system/BOM layers plus Maitreya and Omega appliers. They are frequently seen in my posts as a versatile way to share tops with you that have no included bottoms.

Around The Grid Hunt

Hiya everyone! Tonight we take a look at some of the dozens of $1L prizes available through the Around The Grid in 80 Days 8 Hunt. They are hiding inside clusters of palm trees, as a trio of them serves as the hunt object this round. You can also purchase the prize for $25L from the hunt object on or very near the sign if you prefer not to hunt, and it is nice to have that option available. The hunt runs for 80 days and started a couple of weeks ago, so you have until the end of September to find whichever prizes catch your eye. You can use the hints from their website to guide you, and that is also where you will find the landmarks to go from store to store. 

This first look caught my attention because of my love of birds, especially parrots. It is the female prize from Georg Bellic Design, and I specified that since there is a male prize included in the same cluster of palm trees :) This is their Sandy Dress, and she comes in sizes for Altamura, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. The cutouts on the sides are a great detail, and so are the unique straps of the back.

Atlantis Design's palm trees hold two versions of this delightful Dotty 1 dress, with and without the dot pattern on the top. Each version is provided in Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizes. The deep color really makes the folds of the skirt stand out, and I love the high-low hemline.

Sunflowers create such a cheerful look, even with this image being just half of a very large bloom :) This is the prize from Sweet E's called Purple Sunflower Tessa Dress, and it is trimmed in wide golden lace which adds to the regal nature. Next we have a charming skirt set from Heavenly Creations, their Denee White Outfit. The tank top and wrap skirt each come in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body versions. The silvery trim on all the edges adds interest, and the pink butterflies and blossoms help to make this set extra appealing.

For my final look this evening, I am enjoying the prize from +Uni Boutique+ which is their Romper - Purple with a fun bonus. The romper is provided in sizing for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, and the Traveling Nerd Purse I am holding in my left hand is also included. Isn't it cute? The bow made me think of Hello Kitty, and I love the details like the glasses-shaped zipper pull dangling from the side opposite the bow.

It is time to celebrate the weekend and a new month, and I am so excited about both! There are some new hunts starting, and each month brings fresh rounds of various monthly events with all sorts of terrific offers. Down The Rabbit Hole

Hiya everyone! Tonight we are going Down The Rabbit Hole, as that is the name of the event that has just opened and is waiting to delight you. Alice in Wonderland is one of those classic tales that has been immortalized in literature and film, with a wide range of interpretations to provide inspiration for the designers. The event is organized by Evil Bunny Productions (as in Evil Bunny Hunts) and they did a marvelous job decorating the location, and all of tonight's looks are group gifts for their free group. Your tag will say "I'm Evil!" which gave me a good chuckle, and almost all the displays have a gift bag with the event's name on it and a framed image of the gift next to it. Just click each of those to receive your gifts :) Some of these treats are themed while others are not, so even if you are not a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland you have an excellent chance of finding things you will enjoy. 

We start with the gift from [WitchCraft] which is their Rose Red Dress with bonus footwear. The dress is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, which matches up exactly with the sizes of the laced up stiletto boots. The strapless mini is trimmed in black with edging, belt/bow, and even a sheer black layer underneath the red floral fabric, coordinating just right with the shoes.

Next I slid into the Applique` Chic group gift called AC: Graphic Summer Dress Pink. This cutie has a bold color contrast between the white and hot pink, and the slender attached belt accentuates our natural curves beautifully. This gift includes standard mesh sizes as well as version for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies.

BLONDEQUEEN is offering a very flirty gift for the EBH group here, their Potion Dress Special Edition Red. In sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, this daring strapless mini has a very plunging navel-baring neckline and several crossed straps in the back. One can only assume that the top is held up by magic ;) I accessorized it with the gift from Atlantis Design called Roses Dress Choker, which comes in small and large rigged sizes. The charm in the center is a lovely red heart, and there is a red rose on each side of the black ribbon. Their exclusive discounted offer for the event is a dress designed to match the choker (or vice versa) so be sure to take a peek at that if you are interested.

Blue is another color strongly associated with the Alice in Wonderland story, thanks to the title character's signature clothing, and that probably inspired this +Uni Boutique+ gift. This particular Alice Dress is certainly more mature than the character though, as it is styled like two pointed panels connected at the top and loosely tied on each side at the waist. It is provided in Altamura, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizing.

My final look of the evening is a charming blue dress too, the .{AC}. Poppy - Winter Dress Sky gift from Aurora's Closet. While it has long sleeves and a high neck, the short fluttery skirt will keep you cool in this warm weather, not to mention showing off a whole lot of leg :) The gift includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, and has a luxurious plush texture that looks like it is begging to be touched.

It was a hot and humid day with scattered rain, so I was happy to be able to stay indoors near fans. Tomorrow I am not so lucky, as I do have an appointment to attend, but it should be a decent enough day regardless. I have a mask ready and plenty of hand sanitizer, and the people at this medical office are very nice and seem thorough trying to protect everyone.
