SL Frees and Offers

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I was inspired by finding one amazing SLFO (SL Frees & Offers) group gift, and it just led into a whole adventure of seeking out more to share too :) The group is free to join, and there are so many talented designers who send notices to the group to update us of sales, new releases and the like. They are also able to offer a gift for group members at their store, which is what I'm sharing a handful of this evening. You know by now how much I enjoy the variety of this type of group gift, and am thankful for all of the stores who take part.

My first look is the charming Patty CK Gift #3 dress, and it's actually $1L rather than free. Obviously I took one look at that great denim texture and decided it was well worth it, lol, and hoping you do the same. The dress comes in Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Nhumana, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. I love the way the skirt is lifted on the left thigh and tied with a loose bow, very flirty detail.

Over at Violet Skies, I found the lovely Xara Dress - Black as our SLFO group gift. The style is a very flattering tube dress with unique pattern that looks like sequins and beads. There are sizes for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Prima, Prima Petite, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies provided. There are so many ways we can accessorize this, with black or silver heels coming to mind first. Anything beaded, footwear or jewelry, would be a nice touch too.

Next we have the stunning Intisl red dress & black boots gift, which you can claim by clicking the black gift bag on the floor next to the photos of the dress and boots (beneath the SLFO sign). It pops up a menu to choose your size from Lara X, Legacy, or Reborn, but you can also click again and pick another size if you regularly wear more than one body. It would be tricky to match the exact shade of red, so black is a terrific choice for the footwear, and these add an edgy vibe that I am definitely enjoying.

GET THE LOOK is offering their Maria Outfit upstairs as their gift for us, and it is a summery dream :) The bra top and slit shorts are each provided in Legacy, Legacy Free, Perky, Lucybody, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizes. The shorts almost look like a skirt at first glance if you catch a glimpse of the side openings, but a front view makes the drawstring bow more noticeable. It really makes me think of beach vacations, even if it's just a virtual daytrip.

For my final look, I kept those shorts on to help me show you the ::MM:: Leaky Cauldron Women's cropped top gift from Max Magic. This short hoodie comes in sizing for Freya, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with a HUD that offers 3 background colors for the "Leaky Cauldron" take on a popular coffee shop's logo. I feel the urge to reinforce that while I love the Potterverse and the way it brought fans together, I do not support the way its creator thinks or behaves towards a segment of the population around her. The fans have done amazing things to expand and breathe more life into her concept, and that is a special thing. 

I've just finalized my plans for tomorrow, which will prevent me from blogging in the evening because they won't leave me time to prep any photos and notes. I'll be back Friday though, and haven't yet decided what I'll be blogging so it will be a surprise to all of us ;) Sometimes I feel like midnight mayhem would be as apt as midnight magpie for the name of this blog, LOL, but I am encouraged that I actually look forward to leaving the house sometimes. FabFree Friday

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're checking out the FabFree group gift list again, diving down a bit so not the most recent but the slightly older gifts that you might otherwise miss before they get swapped out for new ones. The FabFree in SL group is free to join, and their blog is immensely helpful to learn about gifts, sales, events, and new designers in SL whether it's your first day or your second decade as a resident :) I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the group and blog, have been a huge fan since my earliest days in SL, and they will always have one of my precious group slots as well as being a priority in my email inbox.

My first look of the evening is the [ZEX] Isabel dress * Dove gift, a charming white dress with bare shoulders and delicate straps tied around each upper arm. There are sizes for Legacy, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies included, and a few other groups' gifts are on that same wall. It looks like ZEX remodeled since I was there last, looking good!

I slipped into my favorite Delizio jeans in order to show off this gift, the ::MM:: Flower Women's tank top from Max Magic. It's upstairs with other generous gifts for assorted groups :) I really like the lacy back of this T strap tank top, which fits Lara X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies and includes a HUD with 4 floral patterns. Even the buttons down the back will be coordinated with the pattern you select, so cute!

Next the jeans stayed put but the body had to do a switcheroo ;) Over at [DUSZA] their Pulawy Top is designed to fit the original Maitreya body, Lara 5.3. Its HUD has 4 lovely choices, two of which you can see above. The top is such a flirty style, with deep side openings that are tied at the bottom. 

Next we visit KaiDesign for their *KD* Rye dress - flowery gift, which has a sultry, revealing style. The sides are nearly completely bare, as the skirt is attached to the bra in the front and back by a narrow band. We receive sizing for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Pinup Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Petite X, Peach, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The vibrant pattern adds plenty of visual appeal too :) It reminds me of a kaleidoscope, which was something I used to get a very inexpensive plastic version of each year during summer vacation so it brings back fond memories.

My final look tonight is the .::BE BOLD::. Gift #22 for FabFree, on a wall that is jam-packed with goodies for dozens of groups across the grid. It includes a t-shirt style mini dress in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with a 3 texture HUD, plus coordinated ankle boots to fit Maitreya and Slink mid height feet. Does it make me odd that throughout my life, I've alternated between loving and disliking striped clothing? I am definitely in a phase of enjoying them now, lol, so the diagonal stripes on that texture option made me smile. The other choice is a solid pink, so if you are in the no-stripes camp, you can still find two ways to wear this cutie.

Mother Nature wreaked a bit of havoc around here, so I did not go to my parents' for dinner as intended. They had a mystery leak in the laundry room, and the roads between here and there were flooding. I also was very short on sleep from all the loud thunder startling me awake every time I almost drifted off, so that's fun. Meanwhile Xan is not online tonight because he has no electricity, same storm system apparently :( He's able to send messages periodically so I know he's okay, just having a really frustrating night. Evil Bunny Eggs

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have another handful of Evil Bunny Hunt 13 prizes to show off, for you to possibly find to start your weekend. There are so many terrific possibilities, just have a peek at the hunt's website for landmarks, hints, and preview images of most of the generous $1L rewards for finding nice eggs (dressed up like angels) or evil eggs (dressed like devils). We have until the end of the month to enjoy this hunt, and some items are Easter themed but not all so it is not too late to have some fun with these eggs :)

My first look of the evening is one of two prizes we can claim from Emerald Couture, their EC Lunette Mini Dress White from inside the nice egg. This beautiful dress has a knotted hem and scoop back, so it shows plenty of skin for such a nice angelic gift ;) There are 5 standard sizes included, along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. 

Over at Artic Storm, we are looking for a nice egg that contains the flirty *AS* Heidal Top & Skirt Pink_Stripe outfit. The pink lace top is sheer, so that could call for pasties or a bra layered beneath to wear at certain venues. It looks terrific with the ruffled skirt whose left side is raised provocatively, and both pieces are included in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizing. There is also a beautiful white butterfly panty that is a system/BOM layer, which I was delighted to see in the folder when unpacking because I am a longtime fan of Artic Storm and know they make stunning lingerie.

Ladies and gents, I am embarrassed to admit that I did not read the description on the image of this adorable Max Magic hunt prize at first and nearly made this an adult post ;) The charming ::MM:: Watermelon Sugar patchwork women's Overalls is inside the nice egg at the store, while a men's treat can be found by locating their evil egg. The image does say "without shirt", so what we receive is the denim overalls in sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, plus a HUD with two shades of denim that are both shown above. Once I realized my nipples were winning a game of peekaboo, LOL, I improvised and headed to the marketplace where I found a versatile free gift from Gacha Girlz called Isis Top 7 colors. They are jacket system layers which work perfectly for BOM (bakes on mesh), and we receive blue, green, lavender, pink, red, white, and yellow. Now you probably have something in your inventory already that you can wear with these overalls, from tube tops to long sleeved sweaters, but I do recommend a BOM or applier type layer rather than mesh because they don't always play nicely together. I tried it with the Artic Storm top and it didn't go well, since they weren't rigged with each other in mind. That is no shade towards either clothing item at all or the designers, it is simply a suggestion based on my experience :)

If your weekend is looking steamy, head over to [JUSTICE] where you can find a nice egg that contains this breezy LANA ROMPER - TOPAZ prize. Topaz is one of those gemstones that has a wide range of colors, so the name made me think of blue or yellow, but I must admit to purple being my favorite color so this beauty made me extremely happy. There are Freya, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes awaiting us for finding the egg.

For my final look of the night, I headed to )O( Moon Goddess and claimed their Spring Dress Green prize from a nice egg. It has a sleek slip dress feeling to it, with bare back and slits on each hip as well as the gorgeous embroidered neckline that absolutely caught my eye immediately. We receive an unpacker HUD with each size having its own button so we only need to deliver what we wish of their Freya, Isis, Venus, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. The color is such an ideal choice for this time of year, yet I can easily see it working for mid-March, late December, or whenever makes you happy.

It almost felt a bit like summer here today, with warmth and humidity that had me wearing short sleeves to my parents' for dinner. It was a nice visit, and I am always amused at their rescue birds and the way they are too shy to get within several feet of me (or my mom, but they like my dad sometimes) but want to be included in conversations and will chirp back if we look towards them when talking and say their names. They had 2 neglectful homes before my parents took them in, and those emotional wounds run deep I guess. We looked at pictures my mom found of birds we had in the 90s and 00s, oh and a few from the 70s when I was an itty bitty magpie ;) Tomorrow is the farmers market, then I am relaxing before another week sneaks up on me. Weekend Variety

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we begin the weekend with some variety, starting with various group gifts for the Mesh Body Friends group. This is a multi-designer group that is free to join, and participating stores will share news about sales and special offers in addition to many having gifts for the MBF group. Most of the ones I visited also take part in other similar groups so you may see gifts for them as well, making it a good idea to check for other groups you belong to. Then we head to Entice for their Saturday Sale offerings, several new versions of a gorgeous dress at a special discounted price. Lots of ways to save money here while looking fantastic!

My first stop was the YIA store, where I happily claimed their Helena Outfit White GIFT for the Mesh Body Friends group. This pairing of tied tank top and high waisted shorts are included in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies each, in a crisp white that is effortlessly elegant. It might be best suited for a warmer climate, but in SL we get to visit areas with any weather we could imagine and then some, so it could come in handy if your cold RL weather has you wanting to stroll along a tropical beach.

I kept the shorts on here to help me share the Max Magic gift, their ::MM:: women's sweatshirt - MBF GIFT. They did specify women's because there is a similar gift for the guys too, and it is not the only male-avatar-compatible gift I spotted so be sure to pass that information along to anyone who needs it :) This cropped sweatshirt fits Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, Legacy, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite mesh bodies, with 2 HUDs of 3 colors apiece. I am trying to be optimistic about the weekend, which realistically will have ups and downs like any timeframe. This chef is a friend of the former and has her recipes plus her own to offer :) Then the bad houseguest arrives, lol, but I will be able to avoid them for the most part. The Naughty List

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am hoping to earn a place on your nice list by inviting you to The Naughty List event. There you can find top quality offers at nice prices from many great designers, and $10L treats at each display in bags with an image of the contents on each. There is also a lovely Christmas tree where my link brings you, and if you are in the Evil Bunny Hunt group (free to join) you can claim all the gifts under that tree for free. Those are what I would like to share tonight, so anyone regardless of budget can enjoy some brand new goodies for the holiday and beyond :) Of course I still encourage shopping the displays, but that should not be a surprise. First I paired two gifts, clothing with a tattoo. The dresses are the Poinsettia Explosion Dresses from Indigenous, a duo of blue and green versions with a shattered stained glass type pattern. They are each included in Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizing. As for the intricate tattoo, it is our group gift from Max Magic called ::MM:: Cat Love to the Moon tattoo. The geometric cats on each shoulder reminded me of the texture of the dress, and there are a lot of fun details to the artwork on both arms. The gift consists of a system/BOM layer and an Omega applier, so there is compatibility for most mesh bodies and all classic avatars. 

Our gift from Illustrious is a flirty dress in several colors, their Crossbones Fatpack. Each version (Green, Pink, Purple, Teal, Yellow, and Black) is packed separately in sizes for eBody Classic, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The dresses are designed to be more like a tiny skirt and corset that are linked by bold rings both front and back, creating some tantalizing views. 

I also found a gift from MadCatCreations beneath the tree, and this is two separates that combine wonderfully to create a seasonal outfit. The top is the MCC - woman - Snow Tree Crop Sweater, an eye-catching look with traditional holiday knit pattern in sizes for Altamura, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a HUD with 10 colors to choose from. The pants are called MCC - woman - Deep Snow Jeans w/HUD, and these come in the same sizing as the sweater with a similar 10 color HUD. I like the way the legs look tie dyed in bleach to lighten the denim, just in those bands on the calves. 

Those MCC jeans also look very cute with the gift from BLONDEQUEEN, their pair of Christmas Pastel Tops in blue and pink. They both come in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, with snowflakes on the blue version and reindeer silhouettes on the pink. Lots of intricate straps add visual interest to this style, and I am enamored with both prints. 

My final look of the night is a dazzling outfit from Donni's Dollies, whose gift is their DD Cleopatra Dress & Shoes Rainbow Leopard. The mini dress is included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with matching shoes in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High fits. I never knew just how much I needed rainbow leopard print in my SL wardrobe until I saw this terrific gift!

May I put Mother Nature on the naughty list?? I may have mentioned that we had a storm coming through my area on Christmas eve night, well sadly it arrived with heavy winds that knocked my power out for a few hours. I had barely started writing the blog post, but I told myself (and Xan) that if the power came back before I had to go to bed from exhaustion I would finish and post the blog :) So here we are, much later than usual thanks to 4 hours of no electricity, but I am feeling a sense of accomplishment just for pulling this together and getting it ready to share with all of you. This has been a very 2020 type of Christmas I guess, LOL, with all the stress, but I am smiling after all :) Whew! I will not be blogging tomorrow evening, but will gladly be back the following night after a quick day off. I hope that all of you who celebrate have a very Merry Christmas, and those who do not get to look forward to the final weekend of the year which means a new fresh start is just around the corner. Enticing Body Art

Hiya everyone! Tonight's post was a combination of ideas of things I would like to share, so I got lucky with timing. You see, Entice is taking part in this week's Saturday Sale with a fantastic lingerie set, and I had been looking at the "Appearance" tab of gifts for the Stay at Home Club which has a lot of fun tattoos (among other terrific treats). The best way to show those off is to wear a minimal amount of clothing, so you can see where I'm going with this :) We are going to be seeing several body art pieces beneath a very sexy bra and panties set. Other than some bum cleavage, all vital private parts are covered, whew!

We start of course with a good luck and more details about the Entice - Seduction Bra & Panties - Lilac. The set is on sale for just $75L and includes Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh body sizing for each piece. The sale lasts until the 7th of May so you have almost a full week, and the previously released colors are being offered too at $150L each or $450L for the entire fatpack via HUD. The bra and panties are each a little more revealing than average, and accentuated by floral lace up top and ruffles and a tiny bow from behind. As for my new tattoo, that is our Stay at Home Club gift from Leggy, called [L] Catnip. It comes in faded and fresh versions, each in system/BOM layers plus appliers for Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Omega compatible mesh bodies. I am wearing the fresh here, since I hope it photographs clearer, and that kitty on my left thigh does seem to be enjoying his or herself among the flowers. No group is needed, and this store is about to move but I did find the gift at their old location at least for now.

NOAM is also offering a tattoo for the Stay at Home Club, this one being called "together". It is provided as system/BOM layers along with Omega appliers, each with fresh (shown), faded, and worn varieties. The front has a chest piece with "always" and two hands whose pinkies are linked together, and I admit it reminded me of Harry Potter...then I saw the back, with "all was well." on the nape of the neck, and that is the final line of the last book in the Harry Potter series :) So this seems to be a nod to that fandom (of which I am a proud member) as well as a tribute to people all over our world these days who are looking forward to brighter days ahead when we can safely be together.

This lovely tattoo is our gift from Rainbow Sundae, and I admit its message made me smile several times from when I first saw it, tried it on, took the photo, prepped said photo, and even now as I am writing this. It is aptly named Hope Tattoo, and comes in system/BOM layers and Omega appliers. There are regular and faded versions, with some pretty greenery with the word "hope" alongside a stem. It makes sense, as hope can grow and blossom when we nurture it.

It has been a fairly busy day, but an enjoyable one for the most part. My parents and I celebrated a family birthday with takeout from a local place that we trust, and we had some tasty cake afterwards. I had a chicken BLT wrap, nothing fancy just a chicken cutlet with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and a touch of mayo wrapped in a soft tortilla. My parents shared a gluten free pizza that looked good too. We have our plans for tomorrow that will include picking up the farmers market order, so that will provide lots of healthy treats for the week. Other than that, Animal Crossing has been keeping me occupied :) It really is such a charming game, and I find it soothing to interact with my villager neighbors and craft gifts for them and such. Oh well, I hope you all have a peaceful weekend ahead, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
