Shopping and Hopping

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we head to the Poppy region at Valentine Shop & Hop 2025, one of 14 regions we can explore to find hundreds of discounted offers and free gifts. There is romance in the air, but also friendship and spring since I saw lots of flowers :) Linden Lab organizes a few of these shopping events each year (winter holiday, SL's birthday, Halloween), and I can't even pick a favorite among them because they all have unique appeal. What I do appreciate about all of them is the range of designers they invite, so there is a little something available for everyone. I also appreciate FabFree and their amazing spreadsheet, which can help you make sure you don't miss a single gift and lets you sort (tabs at the bottom) by region, store name, or type of gift. That's great if you're looking for all the store credits to make sure you use them before they expire, or all the men's stuff to share with a partner (hey Xan!) for example.

My first look of the evening is a versatile treat from #UNIVERSA which is their XOXO GRAPHIC TEE - FATPACK. It's got 13 fun texture choices on the included HUD, and the flirty cropped top comes in Kupra, Natural, Mounds, Legacy, Bombshell, Maitreya, Peach, Reborn, Reborn Mounds, and Waifu mesh body sizing. The image I chose on the right above is a meaningful one, with "You are" beneath heart shaped balloons saying Worthy, Enough, and Loved, with XOXO on the left balloon.

Next I changed into the stunning =Kinky Pinky= Love Dress (fatpack) gift. The halter style top and skirt are linked by a golden ring that also has a slender belt hooked to it, for a very playful appearance. The gift includes Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes, with a HUD offering 6 colors of the fun love-adorned texture. Since the wording also has Happy Valentine's Day, you will probably want to wear this one very soon :)

I also wanted to show you the sexy Luta Lil'Bit 2 Pc Camisk FATPACK gift, since I sure wouldn't want you to miss out :) The tiny crossed top and equally teeny micro miniskirt are each provided in Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minim mesh body sizing. There are also HUDs for each piece, with 8 colors to choose from, so we can mix and match to get the look we prefer.

Our gift from The Annex is their beautiful Destiny Bodysuit FATPACK. There are BOM layers in each of the four colors - black, pink, red, and white - so we can wear them on any compatible mesh body as well as the default classic avatars. They are slightly sheer (if you look closely you can see my belly button just barely peeking through the black one) and three are decorated with white hearts, while the white bodysuit has black ones for contrast. The pink, which is the other not shown, is a bit dark and a little brighter than the hue of the wall behind me, so its hearts are on the subtle side. Crossed halter necklines are extra fun when they create a keyhole opening in the front like that, don't you think? I also have the urge to layer skirts over this, maybe even a short jacket or cropped top for cooler weather.

For my final look this evening, Spells & Charms weaves some magic with their {S&C} Melyna Dress V2 gift :) Yes it's another halter style, LOL, and no that was not my intent but goodness, I do enjoy them! The sweetheart neckline gives this one a retro vibe, and the short hem with wedge cutout on the front brings the modern twist. There are sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD that offers 6 colors of the fun bubbly pattern seen above. I love that the HUD is a cauldron, keeping that brand theme going nicely :) 

The week is off to a confusing start here as I'm trying to make plans for my outings this week, and the weather seems to want to interfere with some winter storms whose trajectory has changed often since announced. Holiday Shop and Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to start exploring the 2024 Holiday Shop & Hop event, and I'm thrilled as always :) There are 320 stores taking part in this round, 20 per region so 16 regions (sims) to explore. Each participant is offering discounted merchandise and a gift for free to all, many of which are gift cards or store credit. FabFree has once again put in the hard work to compile a spreadsheet for us as a guide, with pictures of the gifts and sortable by region, type, or store name alphabetically so you can find all the store credits or a specific store very easily. I find it easiest to keep the gifts sorted in my inventory by region, and all of tonight's looks can be found on the Frosted region. 

My first look tonight is the flirty Faida - Udane Xmas Special gift. This black slip dress is trimmed in matching black lace, and has slits on the front and back of each thigh. It is provided in sizing for Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. It's tempting to wear as a nightie too, depending on the mood.

I couldn't resist sharing the Noel Sequin Dress (Gift) by Madame Noir and their matching Noel Sequin Stole either :) The strapless mini dress has a cinched waist so you may need to use the enclosed alpha layer, and it has been designed for Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu bodies. The stole has the same pattern as the skirt of the dress, and its sizes include Legacy, Lara X, and Reborn bodies. There is a HUD for the stole to turn the sparkles and materials on and off, so we get a bit of customization so it can accommodate our PC and our viewer's settings better.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Tea Lane display, and it was a great place to find several generous free gifts that can be mixed and matched together. The ~TL~ Turkey Girl Cropped Tee is a fun short sleeved knit top in sizing for Gen X Classic, Khara, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Prima Busty, Prima Petite, Reborn, Waifu, and Senra Jamie mesh bodies. Then I added their ~TL~ Turkey Girl BoM Skinny Jeans gift, which includes two different system clothing layers of these slim fitting jeans with front and back pockets. Other gifts include leggings with the same pattern, a hoodie, a hat with hair, and even some poses to help you show them all off and take photos. I'm curious how many of you usually have a turkey for the Christmas holidays? My family always does turkey for Thanksgiving, seafood (feast of the 7 fishes) for Christmas eve, then homemade pizza the next day :) We also used to do a huge ham for New Year's Day, but that tradition fell by the wayside over time.

I kept the Tea Lane jeans on and changed into a different shirt, The Annex - Daddy Tshirt duo. They have black and white versions with the same Santa image above the word "Daddy", each in Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. The tees are designed to be a little bit baggy for a playful and casual feeling.

My final look of the night is perfect if you need something formal and are still in your Barbie pink era as I always will be :) The .:{Sofia}:. Danielle Gown Dress. Pink is a gorgeous satin gown with pearl-studded halter strap and a full circular train layer over the figure hugging main skirt. It's just irresistible, and the satiny sheen has me feeling like a total diva. There are sizes for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. 

It was a busy and odd sort of day, leaving me feeling a bit drained. The planned outing did not happen, but I've got a couple of future appointments in the books and a totally unrelated doctor sent a message that I have an appointment the morning after Christmas. Nope, that is not okay, and before I could respond I got another message in the patient portal that it was canceled due to staff clerical error. No kidding, lol, although I am not mad because they remedied the mistake promptly without me even having to point it out. I do need to go back to her soon now that a test result came in, but I'll choose my own date and time. This time of year is exhausting enough without extra appointments sprinkled in. Shop and Hop is Gleaming

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm very excited to share some gifts from the Valentine Shop & Hop 2024. Every round of these beautifully decorated and organized shopping events brings such joy, and all 280 designers (14 full regions!) have discounted offers and free gifts for us to enjoy. For the Valentine round, we have until the 19th to explore and find all the treats we wish to show ourselves some love ♥. It's not overly mushy and the offers are not all strictly lovey-dovey, so if you are not a fan of the holiday you can still most likely find plenty to tempt you. I'm all about love of friends, family, nature, and yes I am a fan of romantic love too because I have a special someone in my life. As usual with Shop & Hops, I'm taking it one region at a time, so tonight's looks are all found at Gleaming. 

My first look of the evening combines two generous gifts for a fun outfit. The top is our Carol's Store- Valentines Shop & Hop Gift, which says "Happy Valentine's Day" beneath a cleavage-baring opening. There are sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Lara X, Lara X Petite, Legacy, Maitreya, Momma, and Reborn mesh bodies provided for a very wide range :) I really like the idea of pairing it with the KILLJOY Fiesty Skirt, which of course is another irresistible gift. The flattering miniskirt fits Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Juicy Rolls bodies, with a handy HUD offering 3 leather textures and 3 latex plus 5 zipper colors. Pink and red aren't a common combination except this time of year, which is a shame because I am a fan of the combo :) The red on the left above is leather, with the even shinier pink being latex. When I checked all the gifts I wanted to share tonight, the common size amongst them was not Maitreya 5.3 for once but actually Legacy, so body switch!

On A Lark has on offer the lovely *OAL* Elaine ~ Berry as their gift for all visitors. This layered flouncy dress has slender straps and deep neckline, with a bold belt tied around the waist that trails down the front beautifully. There are sizes for Belleza Classic/Dainty, Belleza Curvy/Dainty, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. Two HUDs are provided as well, with the dress HUD offering 3 textures (solid, stars, swirls) each for the dress and belt. Then the separate belt HUD lets you choose from 16 different colors each in those same three textures, and I apparently brainfarted and shared the same color twice instead of picking a different hue on the right, sorry about that. I sometimes get a little distracted by clicking all the various buttons, LOL!

I chuckled at the gift from The Annex, which is their Reese Hoodie - Black Stripe - ANTI. The length is just enough to cover our booty, so I'll probably layer some jeans beneath for wearing most places. The bold black and white striped sleeves are a fun touch, but the humorous part would be that image on the front which says "dear Cupid, just bring Something Strong" surrounding 3 bottles of adult beverages. That's just in case Cupid gets confused and wants to bring you a strong human instead I guess, but you'd prefer a good stiff drink. You can enjoy this playful hoodie in Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn sizes, all entirely for free. 

Next a look that is distinctly pro-romance, the TS-Gown-Dee which is the female portion of the Tori's Stylez gift. Yes, that does mean there is a well-coordinated male outfit in there, a tux in black with pink trim/cummerbund, but I'm here to show off the gorgeous gown ♥. We are wrapped in romantic pink satin in a mermaid style that hugs the booty then flows outward, and the sweetheart neckline is low to show off the girls ;) I think this will help us stand out in a crowd that is probably going to be wearing mostly red or black, don't you?

One last look for the evening, this is actually 3 different gifts from the several available at the Tea Lane display. Their ~TL~ Conversation Hearts Tank Top looks perfect with either the ~TL~ Conversation Hearts BoM Leggings I'm wearing on the left above, or the ~TL~ Conversation Hearts BoM Skinny Jeans seen to the right. Both pairs of pants include two different system/BOM layers, while the tank top comes in 4 male mesh body sizes along with Altamura, Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, eBody Reborn, Waifu, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Flat, Petite, Lara X, Lara X Petite, Rebirth, Rebirth Petite, Slink Hourglass, and a classic female size. Whew! The conversation hearts have very traditional sayings on them like I'M YOURS, SWEET PEA, CUTIE PIE, XOXO, etc. etc. which I do appreciate just as much as the more sarcastic ones I've seen out there :) There are a few other treats waiting from the generous Tea Lane too, so look out for all the single image signs between their sales displays. 

It was a typical weekend for me I guess, with ups and downs thanks to the anxiety, but I had a deep heart-to-heart with the therapist today and we are resetting some of our plans to start over with the smaller exposures but repeated more often to get my brain used to it. He was surprised but relieved that the family doc finally got back to me, and I am feeling the odd effects of the medication increase right now but that should only be for a few more days. Well, in a few days I go from 75 mg to 100 mg so another few days of weirdness, lol, but since the initial 50 mg did the same thing I knew what to expect and that it will calm down sooner or later. A couple weeks later I'll decide if the increased dose is better for me overall, and we will take it from there. I'm not opposed to pharmaceuticals in general, and know that some are downright miraculous for people, it's just that I have had some bad experiences and tend to be cautious with changes. Otherwise my weekend was full of NHL all star stuff and Paleo Pines, as I realize how few dinosaur species I was able to recognize before this game but I'm learning :) I hope you all had a nice weekend and are enjoying your day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

How To Look Fabulous

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood for variety, and decided to explore the FabFree group gift listing for ones that I hadn't shared yet but were not the most recent. This way you can pick up the gifts that might be closer to the time when the designers will swap them out, so as to not miss out before they are gone :) The FabFree in SL group is always free to join, and their blog is as wonderful as their group which is why I've been a huge fan of both for many years. They keep us informed of sales and events, help us find gifts, and even organize hunts a couple of times a year that I adore. Of course it helps that many of my favorite stores are participating designers, most of whom also offer gifts for anyone wearing the "I Am Fabulous" group tag.

My first look this evening comes from The Annex, and is one of several gifts in boxes on a very low shelf so just look for a grey box in front of the FabFree rainbow logo. This is called Gia Dress FATPACK, and there are 6 colors each in Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes. I'm wearing dusty rose on the left and mint on the right, and our other choices are beige, blue, gray, and lavender. Those are some great color options, and the tiered style is so pretty with the sequined layer and slender matching belt. 

I also visited Sweet Serenity Designs, who are currently offering multiple gifts for the FabFree group, including this flirty SSD LOGANAH DRESS BROWN. There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies included. The long sleeves are a fun contrast to the short hemline and cutouts on each side.

Another alluring gift is the ::SS:: Dress Sarah (Wine) from Saussi. This strapless mini is gathered in several places and has a bare midriff with ruched straps crossed both front and back for extra visual appeal. It is provided in Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy sizes, with a HUD for the built in panties with 3 colors and an on/off option. 

Next we have the Via Fulo Christy Dress Purple gift, in a stunning shade of lilac with shimmery pinstripes and a deep V edged in lace. The gift comes in sizing for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies. I feel like this style could work just as well as lingerie as a dress, thanks to the high cut hip slits and just being generally revealing :) 

My final look of the evening is a generous gift from {Le'La} called Leonesio Outfit Gift 1. The jacket and pants each come in Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with matching heels that fit Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink feet. For a more businesslike appearance you can try layering a blouse beneath, or you can go with a bra top if you want just a little extra coverage but still seductive. I love the color palette for this time of year!

It was a quiet day here, but the evening is getting to be a bit tedious since my stomach is not at its best and I'm feeling extra tired. Those two are probably related...it is tiring when we don't feel our best. Vivid Variety

Hiya everyone! Tonight we have more gacha prizes from The Wash Cart Sale, part of their 10th anniversary celebration this round. You do not want to miss all the fun, from items for $10L and $50L to free gifts at many of the carts. I am also very happy to show you a few more hunt prizes from The Guest List and their strawberry hunt, hidden at most of the carts there. That event is only open for another couple of days, so I urge you to hurry and visit.

Our first visit is the gacha area of The Wash cart sale, in the laundromat since all the gacha machines are washers/dryers. The direct link is in my credits at the end. These outfits are both prizes from two different Classy Chics gachas, who cater to Maitreya body wearers so all their clothing is sized (or appliers) for the Maitreya Lara body. On the left I am wearing Snug Bug Teal which is a common prize in its gacha, and on the right is 9 to 5 - Denim Daisy which is also a common prize among its machine's possibilities. Each gacha has 8 outfits, 1 of which is rare, and include the top and pants as on the left, or top and skirt as seen on the right. Best of all, their gachas are just $25L per pull, so you can collect quite the wardrobe at a bargain. The Classy Chics mainstore link is here, and head to the ending credits for the gacha location.

These terrific dresses are both from the Mishmash Fusion gacha at The Wash, which holds a total of 11 colors of the Cobwebbed Dress with no rares. On the left I'm wearing the Cobwebbed Dress in Orange, on the right is Purple, and each prize consists of sizes for Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and a standard fitted version. The gacha is a remarkably low $20L per pull, so you can indulge while sticking to a very reasonable budget. Is "gacha budget" an oxymoron because they're so addictive? *grin* I try to limit myself usually...occasionally fail. Zipping over to The Guest List, I found this lovely and seasonal dress in the strawberry hidden at the FuLo (Albino Peacock) cart. The store maybe going through a rebranding, as the signs said Albino Peacock but the merchandise names start with FuLo. This dress is called FuLo - "Dead Man's Party" Dress - Tea Stained and comes in standard mesh sizes, with a design that combines classic elegance with the Goth/macabre of the skulls. Add that to the fact that it is a free hunt prize, and this gets two Bento thumbs up from me :) 

Speaking of goth and elegance, this stunning Elvira Dress in Blue is part of our Guest List hunt prize from The Annex. When you find their strawberry on their cart, you will be claiming this gown in the blue shown plus purple, red, and black, each in sizes for Belleza Isis, Maitreya, and Fitmesh. I found that since this particular style is so slender, I did have to make use of my Maitreya HUD and alpha out some of the body, but that does happen from time to time. Just think of how much fun you can have, adding various jewelry to this to really spice up the look even more and make it your own.

My final look of the evening is the Guest List hunt prize from Hello Dave, their beautiful Vamp Pinup 1 nails which include HUDs for Slink/Omega and Maitreya. They each offer 5 shades of red on curvy tips, with a pale nude base. They can liven up any Halloween look, but plenty of year round outfits as well, so I am very grateful for this free gift.

More Guest List Treats

Hiya everyone! There were too many prizes from the Strawberry Hunt that is part of The Guest List cart sale to squeeze them all into one post, so this is a delightful part two that allows me to tempt you even more into enjoying this event. There are a few days left since it lasts until the 20th, so I encourage you to visit and see what $100L or less exclusive offerings you can pick up in addition to these prizes hiding in little strawberries at most of the carts.

This is our prize from I.M. Collection called Aine Dress in Purple, and it is included in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. The style and texture are both striking, and there are so many ways to wear this to give it a different flavor like thigh high boots for a 60s vibe or stappy sandals for a more modern look. 

Next we have another peekaboo styled dress, our gift from The Annex called Monica Dress which is included in 5 fabulous colors: blue and pink as seen here, plus red, white, and black. Each color comes in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. I accessorized with the beautiful Beloved Jewelry prize called Swirl Choker Necklace and Earrings, which you can see a better look at the earrings in the inset. The choker has a resize version and one without, so you can adjust if need be or wear the one without a script if you head somewhere that scripts may be a concern. The design is very delicate and the pink stones are lovely.

Time to celebrate summer a bit more, with the prize from Gross Princess called Queen Bee Bikini. It includes small and large sizes plus eBody, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique fits, and has bold striping to go with the bold style. This will earn you second glances at your favorite beach or pool.

I am always tempted to make all sorts of puns relating to the store name Entice and how enticing I do genuinely find their clothing, this fantastic Summer Madness Bikini - Anchors being a prime example. This is their prize hiding in the strawberry on their cart, and it is provided in plenty of mesh sizes: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. Entice is the store that introduced me to the Flawless sim a very long time ago, and I have been a huge fan ever since.

Hello Dave is an exciting place to shop for nails, and any of her group members know that she is renowned for her generosity as well as talent. So it might not be a huge surprise that she is offering more than one gift in the strawberries at her cart, but even I was pleasantly surprised to find FOUR of the sweet treats waiting for us! There are two French HUDs (French Ready and French Ready 2) with 35 base colors each, along with the two sets you see above. On the left (my right hand but the left side of the photo) are the 5 designs found in Spring Garden, whose HUD is compatible with Slink, Omega, and Maitreya. On the right side, we have The Difference is Sherbet which is 5 tasty looking colors on the tips in a circular shape. There are two HUDs inside this gift, one for Omega and Slink and the other for Maitreya. If you love manicures as much as I do, this is a cart you do not want to miss!

I am very easily distracted lately, and over a month ago I started a separate blog for just my random thoughts but I never actually published the lone post yet...I think I'll do that later just for a sense of accomplishment ;) It will not be a regular daily thing, just when there is something on my mind that is separate from my posts here.
