Gifts for Designer News

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're taking a look at several Designer News group gifts. As you may already know, the Designer News group is a multi-designer group that is currently free to join, so you get lots of helpful info in one place. The group notices are packed with updates about sales and new releases, and many participating designers offer gifts for the group in their main stores :) I spent some time exploring, and am pleased to show off what I found!

For my first look I visited ***Sunflower***, where their DRESS FATA PINK is our generous free gift. This charming one-shouldered mini dress has sheer sections down the bodice an open midriff in the front, with a fun strap that acts as a belt. Our gift includes Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes.

This lovely choice for a warm summer day is our ::Leibah:: Kohtah Bikini silver and green v1 gift. Its bra and bottom each come in sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Kupra, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The silvery strips have a sparkly texture that really caught my eye, and the style is flirty yet on the modest side.

Next I've got another terrific bikini to share, our {Le'La} Aika Swimsuit Gift. The animal print adds to the flirt factor, and I've always been fond of the string bikini's classic style. We receive separate bra and panties here, each in Erika, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes.

The [Sexy Princess] Nancy Jumpsuit is a playful look in bold cow print, with bare shoulders and three jauntily tied ribbons - one on each upper arm and one around the neck as a choker :) It's all in one easy to wear piece, which comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies.

My final look of the evening is the .YIA. Xena Bodysuit TOFFEE treat for the Designer News group. It's got some serious hardware with all that golden metallic trim, and I'm really enjoying the cutout in the back! There are eBody, eBody Reborn, Erika, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizes included in this thoughtful gift. 

I haven't have very good luck with my teeth over the years, taking after my dad's side of the family in that regard. So I shouldn't be too shocked that my dental visit yesterday will be having a big unpleasant follow-up next week, a redo of a root canal and crown on one of my upper molars. I am already worrying and fighting my anxiety, so it is going to be a long wait till Wednesday. Meanwhile I am trying to keep myself distracted as much as possible, and I am grateful for Xan's patience and support as always :) He is dealing with a big adulting type issue at the moment too, so we are quite the pair. Tequila Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm inviting you to indulge in an adult beverage or two in SL, courtesy of the Tequila Hunt from the Hints & Hunts group. Now the hunt prizes are $10L - $25L, hidden in tequila bottles, and there are group gifts in a tall cactus with an embroidered sombrero (hat) hanging on the front. The website has images of both of these, as well as landmarks, hints, and hunt keys from participating stores. Some of the group gifts (from sponsors) are at the main office of the hunt, and that is also where you can click a large sign to get a notecard with the same info I just mentioned from the website :) The group is free to join, and the hunt opened in the end of August and runs until the 18th of September. They seem to hold a different hunt each month, so please stay tuned for future events. My first two photos tonight are a bit more revealing than usual, but not obscenely so (I hope). I'm also giggling because I keep picturing Pee Wee Herman dancing to the old song Tequila in his movie, so I am probably showing my age tonight ;) 

My first look of the evening is one of the group gifts available at the hunt office, the ..YIA.. Harmonia Outfit 8 Colors Fatpack. The pasties, skirt, and belt are each provided in eBody Reborn, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, with a skirt/belt HUD offering 8 skirt colors and 3 belt metals. We also get a HUD for the pasties with 12 glittery textures to choose from. If the pasties don't cover enough but you really want to wear the skirt and belt, just add any top or bra that you prefer :) 

The hunt office is also the place to grab our ~VE~ MEDUSA TATTO GIFT from Victoria Essence, an intricately designed image of Medusa and her hair snakes in tattoo form. There are BOM layers in fresh, fade, and med (that's the one shown) so you can decide how new your tattoo will look. The story of Medusa is one where the perception has shifted over the years, as people have realized that she was probably not a willing participant in the relationship that caused her to be cursed, yet she retained power even in death. 

Next we go to some of the participating stores' locations, like Roja's, to claim their group gift called Athena Sukura DRESS. It's wonderful for this time of year, thanks to the built in short sleeved shrug that can provide a little extra coverage for a slightly breezy autumn evening :) Claim this gift and you'll receive Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Erika, Kupra, Kupra Ups, Lara X, Legacy, Nerido, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Peach, and Reborn mesh body sizes of this beauty. I also visited Designs by Danielle, where the Hints & Hunts group gift is their DANI S of the Border Dress. The colors caught my eye of course, then the layered tulip skirt, and the broad triple belt that really accentuates the waist. There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies.

For my final look of the evening, I happily changed into the Tequila Hunt Gift from COVETED! dress. It has an intriguing style with plunging neckline and daring slit on the left side that produces a diagonal hem, and let's not forget the flirty openings on both sides of the ribcage :) The fabric has all sorts of imagery in dark colors with an edgy feeling, sure to turn heads. Our gift includes Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing.

MLM Frees&Offers Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post brings lots of gifts for the MLM Free&Offers group, a multi-designer group that has a tiny $5L fee to join. This encourages people to stay in it and protects us from spammers and scammers, so I don't mind it in the least :) There are lots of talented designers who use the group to keep us informed of their new releases and sales, so we benefit from the info as well as those who offer gifts for their visitors wearing the group tag.

My first stop of the evening was [ConTrato] where I claimed their beautiful Idris Dress. It has a stunning golden halter neckline that doubles as a statement necklace, then the mini dress hugs our curves in sleek satin. There are sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD that offers 5 texture options. The only non-solid hue is the black with white polka dots I'm enjoying on the right above. 

I also added some vibrant color to my summer wardrobe with the LUCILLE SET by BA Store GIFT from Black Angel Store. The strapless top and high waisted miniskirt both fit Kupra, Legacy, Nerido, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, Juicy, and Mounds mesh bodies. I really like the way the top forms a triangle pointing down just past the waist, with similarly angular neckline that draws attention to the cleavage. 

A new favorite outfit for when I'm feeling casual and sassy is the W.G STORE - Florence Set seen here :) Its tank top and denim shorts, each trimmed in black fishnet, are each provided in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Bimbo, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, with a HUD that has 10 color choices for the top and 8 for the shorts. The distressed look of the shorts is such a fun look for denim, and there is something so playful about the crossed straps in the back of the tank top.

Just right click the vendor and pay $1L, which will be automatically refunded while the gift is delivered so it is still free :) The top and pants work perfectly together, and each fit eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. There is also a HUD with 15 color selections, all of which tint the whole outfit at once. I must admit I was pleased to see the zipper on the back of the pants, because can you imagine having to lace yourself into this every time you wear it? ;) That's just good attention to details in the design, and I do appreciate that.

My final look of the evening simply captivated me with that adorable print of pairs of birds snuggling :) It is our ..YIA.. Gaia Jumpsuit BIRDIES (GIFT) and includes sizing for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. There is also a HUD for the small decoration (flower?) at the peak of the neckline, with 20 colors so you can add a pop of contrast or match it to the purple or pink colors of the fabric. Even the back is flirty with those straps, so this made me very happy for lots of reasons :) Combining birds with my 2 favorite colors was certainly the start though. 

I feel like I'm just going to melt into a puddle on the floor under my desk here, lol, and we haven't even reached the peak of the heatwave yet. That would be Friday through Sunday, so we have a really steamy weekend ahead. I didn't go out today because of the heat and not feeling well, and I was fortunate that my new doctor actually responded to my question (about the new medication) really quickly. We are staying with the lower dose for now and will discuss in the near future. If I can't tolerate a therapeutic dose, it may not be the right fit for me, but there are other options so I am not too discouraged. That is pretty much what I told her almost word for word. In SL news, I see that Firestorm has updated for PBR but I am not ready to tackle that quite yet, however I know that it will be exciting news for many :) I hope you're all having a lovely day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

SL Mesh Body Event

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the SL Mesh Body Group Event, where you can find two floors full of designers offering special discounted offers. Those are located in the stores that surround the gift rooms, that's right there are two entire rooms (upstairs and down) with treats for members of the free-to-join group :) I'd already been a member of the SLMB group for quite some time before finding out about this event, so I am not certain how long it's been in existence but I did enjoy another round back in May. This one seems to be open until the 23rd, so I'll definitely be back after trying on the demos I've picked up. These multi-designer groups are such a wonderful way to find new stores to explore as well as keep up with the old favorites, and I love that SLMB has an event to bring them all into one place from time to time.

For my first look of the evening, I randomly chose our Carola*Janys 0622 gift to show off :) The long sleeved mini dress with keyhole openings back and front is provided in eBody Reborn, Erika, Kupra, Bimbo, Low, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with an 8 color HUD. Then the coordinating chunky heels that strap partway up the calf will fit eBody Reborn, Erika, Freya, Isis, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya feet (similar but not identical size set so worth mentioning) and have a HUD with 10 color choices. I feel like they can be paired very easily with other outfits too if you prefer, and I do appreciate the versatility.

Whew, is it hot in here or is it just my new dress? This is the ::FOR YOU:: ASHLEY DRESS FTP gift, a tank style mini with bold cutouts down the front that make for a very sensual look. There are Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes included, along with a HUD that offers 20 floral textures. So many terrific choices there, and you know I love my floral patterns so this one made me smile (and blush a little). 

Another alluring group gift you can claim here is this [C.Y<3Fashion]*MEL*DRESS with plenty of fishnet to catch someone's attention. Yep, pun intended :) It comes in sizing for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn bodies, as well as a 6 color HUD for the fabric. The solid fabric covers all the essentials, but like most skirts I still recommend panties or something similar down below for modesty.

.YIA. has a lovely gift for us too, their intricately designed Cynara Dress LOVE PRINT. I must admit that I mistook the print for a leopard pattern at first glance, possibly due to the colors, then noticed those are hearts rather than spots. We receive Kalhene, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes of this striking mini dress. That asymmetrical style and playful cutouts really make this a winner in my book!

For my final look tonight (don't worry, there are plenty more treats for tomorrow!) I slipped into the {ConTrato} Rowena Dress gift. The name of the geometric pattern is escaping me at the moment, but it has delightful colors for the summer which goes really well with the halter style and that peekaboo rear view :) The gift includes sizes for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Mesh Body Classic, and Reborn bodies. I would wish all of my fellow American readers a happy 4th, but it's a bit late now so I probably should have thought of that last night ;) Ooopsie! I watched fireworks on tv, and heard plenty of local ones that were practically in my front yard, but I'd been hearing them since the weekend so they were nothing new. My anxiety is still acting up, which is unrelated to the fireworks but I know they bother lots of people and pets, so my sympathies to anyone who dealt with that less pleasant side of the pretties. More SLMB Event Treats

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we return to the SL Mesh Body Group Event, which as I mentioned yesterday is a wonderful place to find $99L sales items as well as free gifts from very talented designers. There are two floors so be sure to click the elevator door to teleport up to the upper floor when you're done browsing the main landing area, and with the SLMB group tag active you can click all the gift bags you can find for the free treats I'm sharing and many more. The majority of what I found can be categorized as female fashions and accessories, ranging from cutely casual to formally elegant. That will come in handy if you are a woman of many clothing moods like myself :) This round of the SLMB event is open until the 4th of June, so we have over a week remaining to pick up gifts and demos then return for some shopping.

For my first look I am pleased to share both gifts from [DIESELdeluxe], which are two striking versions of the same sexy dress. On the left is the Gaby Short Dress Combate with a camouflage print, while the Gaby Short Dress B Leo features a leopard print in deep bronze. Both of these treats include Altamura, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minim mesh body sizes. The hemline is notably short, for a slightly cheeky rear view ;)

This gorgeous pairing is our ..YIA.. Demeter Outfit CLOUDS group gift, with swirls of blue and white that have a kaleidoscope appearance in some spots :) I feel like you can probably tell that these gifts are all brightening my week, and this lovely top and skirt combo is no exception. There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies for each piece included, and as separates they can be worn individually if you have something you're itching to pair with one of these components. The top resembles a cropped sweater that is held loosely closed by a slender chain, and the skirt shows off extra thigh with those slits in the front. 

Another boldly colored beauty is our TINA DRESS by BA Store GIFT from Black Angel. When I took these photos this morning, I had not yet heard the news that Tina Turner passed away, yet the name choice makes this so appropriate to showcase! The one-shouldered dress has a single long sleeve and is gathered in front and tied on the right thigh. The gift consists of Altamura, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minim mesh body sizes. I am enchanted by the colors and the floral pattern, so I'm eager to show this off for sure.

When I mentioned elegant gifts, it shouldn't surprise you that I had this Delicatt Couture-Lynda Gown dress - One sleeve - SILVER treat in mind :) This regal gown has a single long sleeve opposing a dramatically bared arm, with softly pleated fabric gathered by a pretty belt. The skirt has a bit of a train in the back, which is one of those details that those of us who don't attend black tie events might only wind up wearing in RL as a wedding gown feature. That makes it even more special in SL as a bonus opportunity that RL usually does not offer. The sequined texture is a winner too, noticeable but not overdone. I suppose you'd like to know what sizes this includes...that would be Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. 

I'm wrapping up the evening's looks with the delightful ART & FASHION - MAGIC MOMENTS LONG DRESS gift. The style and texture of this are both quite noteworthy, so let's start by describing the strapless mermaid shape with the left side cut all the way up to the hip, showing off most of the left leg and highlighting it with loose ruffles. The bodice makes me think of mermaids too, but because the cups look like seashells at first glance. The pattern is comprised of colored dots that form lovely flowers, larger dots than pointillism so I am not sure what artistic style this is called. I am a fan though! This gift is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, each in versions with and without light. I'm wearing the lighted version of the Maitreya size here.

My day was tiring but okay, as the podiatrist visit went fine (nothing drastic to dig out, whew) but I had a hard time sleeping and had intense bad dreams when I did doze off. Tomorrow morning is the dreaded dental appointment with 2 temp crowns and 2 fillings, and a whole lot of nitrous ;) That means no blog in the evening, as I'll be too tired to take proper notes and photos of anything. Trust me, I think you'd need some sort of interpreter to understand my post-nitrous ramblings, lol, so I'm saving you and myself some hassle. Weekend Variety

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we begin the weekend with some variety, starting with various group gifts for the Mesh Body Friends group. This is a multi-designer group that is free to join, and participating stores will share news about sales and special offers in addition to many having gifts for the MBF group. Most of the ones I visited also take part in other similar groups so you may see gifts for them as well, making it a good idea to check for other groups you belong to. Then we head to Entice for their Saturday Sale offerings, several new versions of a gorgeous dress at a special discounted price. Lots of ways to save money here while looking fantastic!

My first stop was the YIA store, where I happily claimed their Helena Outfit White GIFT for the Mesh Body Friends group. This pairing of tied tank top and high waisted shorts are included in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies each, in a crisp white that is effortlessly elegant. It might be best suited for a warmer climate, but in SL we get to visit areas with any weather we could imagine and then some, so it could come in handy if your cold RL weather has you wanting to stroll along a tropical beach.

I kept the shorts on here to help me share the Max Magic gift, their ::MM:: women's sweatshirt - MBF GIFT. They did specify women's because there is a similar gift for the guys too, and it is not the only male-avatar-compatible gift I spotted so be sure to pass that information along to anyone who needs it :) This cropped sweatshirt fits Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, Legacy, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite mesh bodies, with 2 HUDs of 3 colors apiece. Each HUD has a different texture, with the one on the left above that says "as above so below" above and beneath hands holding a moon and sun, with images down the right arm. Then on the right you can see the other HUD's texture, reading "live by the sun, love by the moon" arched around corresponding images of those celestial bodies. If these mystical words and drawings speak to you, come on over and head up to the 3rd floor to claim this gift!

Next I picked up a seductive treat for the weekend, our ::: VInc. ::: Sexy Dress "Nana" Teal GG from Vivacious Inc. The dress has barely attached sleeves and a daring cutout back, revealing a flash of booty cleavage. We receive sizes for Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies when claiming this gift. That vibrant shade of teal really caught my eye, and the style simply oozes sex appeal.

Speaking of sexy, this next gift is a wisp of a bodysuit with intricate straps for the back that are woven as carefully as a spider's web. I am trying to be optimistic about the weekend, which realistically will have ups and downs like any timeframe. The farmers market visit in the morning should be terrific, with a new vendor offering Thai food similar to the couple who moved and left the market a couple months ago. This chef is a friend of the former and has her recipes plus her own to offer :) Then the bad houseguest arrives, lol, but I will be able to avoid them for the most part. The weather will be cold and cloudy but no precipitation, whew, and I've got my gloves and scarf ready to bundle up tomorrow. Wrapping Up November

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we have a variety of gifts and sales offers to see, starting with some group gifts for the SLMB group. That stands for Second Life Mesh Bodies, and the name of the group starts with ^^ so it appears towards the bottom of your group list. It's free to join and there are lots of generous designers who take part by sharing news and offering gifts for the group members. I enjoyed visiting some of them and seeing what they had to offer :) Then I took another trip to the Winter is Coming event at Wonderland Beach, where we can find tons of seasonal sales items along with free treasure hunt prizes inside wrapped gift boxes. I hope you like tank tops (who doesn't?!) because I have a few to share with you this evening.

Our first stop is YIA, where I happily claimed their sexy Megara Black Dress GIFT with my SLMB group tag active. It includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. The spaghetti strap style leads the eye down to the daring cutout that exposes the entire right hip, making this little black dress anything but basic. 

I also headed over to AVA DESIGN and picked up their gift for us called Lydia Dress With Hud. It has a plunging back that complements the halter style beautifully, and fits Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. The included HUD offers 12 textures that are a mix of solid colors and animal prints, so there is a nice variety. The sheer sections are a playful touch, and match the rest of the dress perfectly.

Next I found another provocative gift, the ANDARE - Remona Dress PACK. This halter mini dress has a deep scoop neckline and openings both front and back, yet covers all the essentials :) There are 7 colors to choose from via HUD, and the dress fits Eve Pulpy, Eve Slim, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. I really appreciate the lace overlay and the ruffled trim, since I'm all about the details when it comes to SL fashion.

It took me a moment to put it together that oh year, one of Santa's reindeer is named Dancer ;) They need hobbies to keep themselves occupied the rest of the year, right? The third design is a festive flamingo on a black background, and can be seen on the sign at the display along with several other sets for sale. I can't think of a better way to welcome this Christmas season!

It is a chilly evening here, so the portable heater is going and I am wondering what decaf tea bags I might have in the kitchen.
