Hiya everyone! Tonight I chose some Stay at Home Club gifts from the Apparel section of their website to share with you. They are all free with no group needed, and there is a huge variety thanks to the impressive number of designers who have decided to participate. They all want to remind us that we are not alone in this time, and they are rewarding us for staying home in RL and visiting SL instead where it is safe to be together and spend time with each other. I am extremely grateful to all of these designers and the SL community in general. Please excuse the pun in my post's title, but I really do think these looks are well worth the groan-worthy pun :)
I found this lovely Pia Dress at {Le'La}, and yes it is their Stay at Home Club gift that all visitors can pick up for free. The halter with dramatic diagonal hemline comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes, with a HUD offering 10 terrific textures. Many are floral but not all, and each texture also changes the belt and neck strap to a coordinated solid color. The purple pansies in the pattern on the left remind me of some that we had in the garden of my childhood home, so I have a soft spot for them :)
Sweet Intoxication has a whopping 6 gifts for the Stay at Home Club - 3 gifts for the ladies and 3 for the gents, and I think you can guess which I am showing you tonight :) The top here is their Olivia Crop Sweater - Ombre V2, a sweet yellow and pink pairing that is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. I combined the sweater with another gift, the ::Sweet Intoxication:: Kaylie Jeans - Dark Blue, which includes the same sizing as the sweater. The jeans also have a HUD for their belt with 6 texture colors, from neutrals to the playful rainbow seen on the left. I really like the distressed style of the jeans, and the loose fit, for a casually cool look. All of their gifts are free, but you will need to pay the vendor $1L which will be automatically refunded as the gift is delivered.
This comfy outfit is the third Sweet Intoxication ladies' gift called Candy Shorts - Patriotic, but it actually consists of both the shorts and a matching top. Each come in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, and I am so fond of the flirty style of the top being carefully tied on each side. The pattern on the shorts has sweets in red and blue for the patriotic feel, and would be fun for next weekend being Memorial Day in the USA. However if you just happen to enjoy the colors blue and red together, this is still certainly suitable for anyone in any country :)
Our next stop is VersA, who creates clothing specifically to fit the Maitreya mesh body and currently has 4 gifts for the Stay at Home Club. I showed you two previously, then while working my way upwards from the oldest to newest on the Stay at Home Club website I noticed this addition called Stay Strong. The "girl gang" logo on the fishnet shirt with the I dotted with a heart made me smile, and it is quite a daring look. The shorts are intriguing too, being almost a thong with those dramatic high cut legs. There are HUDs provided for each with 10 colors to choose from, so you can change up your fishnet color including sa couple of ombres, and then pick a matching or contrasting shorts shade.
My final look is the fourth gift from VersA, a charming mini dress called SAH4 - Out of Hibernation. It too is fitted for Maitreya mesh bodies, and it includes a texture HUD with 5 different options for a handful of very different looks. This dress has lots of great details too, like the zipper in the back and the way the straps look 'adjustable' like bra straps from behind. That hemline is fun too, extra short and handkerchief style!
It was a typical Sunday here, with a weekly chore that is rather tedious but I am glad it is taken care of for the week. I had a tasty dinner, a shepherd's pie type dish made with ground turkey instead of lamb or beef, so it benefits from proper seasoning and this had a sprinkling of cheese atop the mashed potatoes for a delicious added touch. Yesterday was busy but it was such a beautiful day out that I was happy to be safely out and about. Hiya everyone! Tonight we continue to explore the Stay at Home Club gifts, which are plentiful and will hopefully bring some smiles to your Second Life. It is such a thoughtful effort by these generous designers, who are encouraging us by giving us free gifts with no group tag needed so all visitors can claim these specially selected treats. Have a peek at their website, and you will find apparel (mens and womens are mixed together on that tab) as well as animations and poses, appearance, accessories, home and garden, and rotating gifts which is a handful of stores whose gifts will be changed frequently. I am still focused on the apparel tab, but so impressed with everything being offered in all categories! My title was inspired by the Cyndi Lauper song, since it played while I was typing this and there are some truly beautiful colors in these images.
My first look comes from [EvelineIntheBox] and is their Carol Purple dress. It is provided in standard mesh sizes as well as a fitted version and Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing, so it should be fairly easy to find one that fits your shape. I adore the colors and the floral motif, and cannot help but give a flustered giggle at the flash of bum cleavage revealed in the side/rear view there.
My next stop was VersA, who have 2 gifts available for the Stay at Home Club. Their fashions are all designed specifically for the Maitreya mesh body, so if you are one of the many wearers of this popular body (as I am), you're in luck! This sensual look is their Micro Cotton Dress, which includes a pair of panties to go beneath our very lacy strapless mini. There is a color HUD as well, 11 choices that tint both the dress and panties at the same time. I am pleased to see that more and more short dresses are being provided with panties to wear underneath, as it makes life a little easier.
The other gift from VespA is their Coloured Hearts outfit, consisting of a top, skirt, and panties with long bow on the right hip, all sized for the Maitreya body. There is also a HUD with 12 choices for the top/skirt and 6 for the panties, so you can have a lot of fun with this one :) I slipped out of the skirt on the right to show you a better view of the panties, which are the same design as the ones from their other gift. If you look closely at the top and skirt, they do have a heart pattern in various sizes, and the unique strap configuration on the back of the top really caught my attention too.
If you are a fellow purple fan, you will want to head over to Ciara's and claim their CCW Stayathome gift Purple cotton layer dress. This lovely strapless dress comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, and I am really captivated by the depth and vibrancy of the shade of purple.
My final look of the evening is a gift that is dear to my heart, as it extends such an inspiring message that we all deserve to hear. [Drac] is offering their Ladies T-Shirt - Your Own Kind of Beautiful to all of us, with a separate gift of mens' sizing (same design and color shirt) plus one of home decor, so they are certainly spoiling everyone :) The shirt comes in fitmesh standard sizes as well as eBody Classic, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. As the name implies, it reads "Be your own kind of beautiful ♥" in a handwritten script. When I was a kid, the beauty ideal we were presented with was Barbie, with her impossibly perfect natural blonde hair and big blue eyes, and that flawless smile that never faltered. Her real life body measurements' equivalent is not medically possible, yet people have felt compelled to strive for that image for decades. Please don't misunderstand me, I have no ill will towards Barbie and was glad that over the years she explored many previously male-dominated careers and even ditched Ken ;) I simply believe that there is far more beauty in this world than just her example.
A new week is upon us, and I have already been planning meals for this week and possibly the next, which will involve shopping for fresh ingredients.
