Hiya everyone! I discovered a delightful festival today and am thrilled to share with all of you. It is called the Bon Odori Festival and is a huge gathering of lucky boards with a twist...you have to dance to be able to click the boards :) There is a large circle of dance pads that rotate around a tower or scaffold in the center, and it is surrounded by the stands of lucky boards. After you have been dancing for 2 minutes, you're eligible to click any board that comes up with your initial, and they are set to change at random times. I found it best to pay attention to the announcements in local chat when the letters change, and then you know to look for it as you pass by :) There are a wide variety of prizes available, so let's have a look at some of the clothing and accessory ones.
First we have this terrific dress from 10*4 simply called Tank Dress. You know I love pink, and this soft dusky shade is wonderful! The wording on the left side of the skirt says Creative Days, I know it's not easy to see in this photo. You will receive all standard mesh sizes in this prize.
Another fun dress with another shade of pink, this is a lucky board prize from Crystal Dream. That heart shaped cutout is adorable, and the turtleneck is a separate piece so you can go without if you prefer. You'll receive the S and XS mesh sizes of the dress in this prize, along with system layer underpants and undershirt.
This lovely prize is from milky-way, and is called Mini Yukata-Ume-. It includes one size of yukata, the obi (2 pieces), and the geta (sandals) for Slink flat feet as shown or regular system feet. The details are just exquisite!
How about a very pretty high-waisted bikini? This prize is by M.I.X. and all standard mesh sizes are provided. I haven't seen anything quite like it, modest bottom and rear but alluring peeks of skin from the tied top.
This is such a cute style, isn't it? Have a look at our prize from Shiorin Mart, called =CS= KIYOMIZU BON-ODORI PRIZE 2015. This mesh bikini comes with all standard mesh sizes, and I dressed it up with another lucky board prize called Apple Earrings. Sadly they don't have a store name anywhere on the box or in the name, all I know is they were created by Emily18 Weiz who doesn't have a store in her picks at all. I love the way the bite in the apple is filled with a diamond texture :)
Nail note of the night: I went with a simple but elegant solution from the marketplace, By Snow's French Natural free gift. They go with everything, and suit any length nail quite well. I was rather delayed by the asset server issues this morning, and not being able to unpack things or change clothing when I first wanted to, so now it's all better just in time for the Tuesday rolling insanity ;)

Hiya everyone! I had a chance to explore the Summer's Hotter Than Hell 3 Hunt so I have some smokin' seasonal goodies to share with you. What better place to do so than a beach? I headed to Two Moon Paradise to enjoy their beach and snap some photos.
I started off with the prize from Unforgettable Temptations (#2), which includes a mesh bikini and sun hat, and fun duck floatie too. I paired it with prize #9 in the hunt, from Grumble, the flirty mules for Slink high feet. Their colors worked well together, and we can always use another pair of pretty shoes!
Maybe you need a different bathing suit, something sassy in a one piece...find the little sun hiding at Sin Original, the start location of this hunt. It's the one you visit before #1 so I was tempted to call it #00. No matter what you call it, how about sexy and retro? :)
This adorable long tank top is the prize from #10 PeKaS and is called Urban Cinnamon. Throw it over a bathing suit, wear it with your favorite shorts, perhaps even pair it with a simple skirt to dress it up. I'm really enjoying the styling and the pattern.
Finally, I couldn't resist being in the water any longer! I'm an Aquarius and the joke even as a kid was that the Water Bearer in me made me always want to be in the ocean or pool or whatever for as long as possible, first in and last out. So this is me, reminiscing and giggling over it :) I am wearing the Jada Kini/Harley from [QE] Designs, #6 in the hunt and truly sexy. I am showing the system layers, but it also comes with appliers for TMP and Omega/Slink so you can enjoy it with a variety of mesh bodies as well.
How about a quick glimpse at the eyes I'm featuring tonight? These are the prize from InkHeart, #17 in the hunt, and I am wearing the mesh eyes so I can show you both colors at once but they also come with the system versions. The difference is subtle, but I am wearing the Fish Eyes Blue in my left eye, and Fish Eyes Grey in the right, both size Large but Medium and Small are included for both. The system eyes also come in both colors, all 3 sizes each. I love them both, and they make a nice change of pace from my usual deep brown peepers.
Nail note of the night: I am showing a few colors from a limited time freebie at ~By Snow~ and her new location, it's this weekend only so don't hesitate if you're interested. Hiya everyone! I found some more exciting prizes from the Advanced or Casual Hunt to share with all of you, so let's have a look at some treasures!
I've got 3 different prizes going on here, first there is the Nadia outfit from SweetRed's Designs in system layers but no appliers. They're #10 in the hunt and this is their casual path prize. The necklace is the advanced path gift from #06 Redrose Jewellry and contains a resize script that I found quite useful. The bracelets are from Angelle (#08) and are just two of several sizes found in the advanced prize...I am showing you the 20mm on the right and 40mm on the left, but they included left and right each of 10, 20, 30, 40, 60, 80, and 100mm. They each appear in the same exact spot, so to wear multiple you'll want to edit them to the position you prefer.
For this photo, I put together the other prizes from those same three stores :) So we have the advanced prize from SweetRed's Designs which is named Summer Rae, and includes the mesh top, system layer pants and flexi skirt. The necklace, which is coincidentally an ideal match for the outfit, is the casual prize from Redrose Jewellry. The bracelets are two of the four inside the casual prize from Angelle, which includes 20mm and 30mm for each left and right.
Another terrific combination is the two prizes from Beautiful Dangerous, #12 in the hunt. The Lolita dress is our casual prize, and the shoes for Slink high feet are the reward for finding the advanced prize. I enjoyed the little chain detail on the shoes so much that I included an inset with a closer look. My bracelets are variations included in the set I showed you in the first photo, the advanced prize of Angelle bracelets. I'm wearing 60mm on the right and 100mm on the left.
I've done another pairing here, this adorable mesh top is the advanced prize from Kelli Kreations which is #09 in the hunt. For a whimsical touch, I added the advanced prize from #11 ::be.YOU.tiful:: which is their compass ring and includes a regular hand version and a Belleza version. For my Slink hands (casual pose) I found the regular hand version to be closer to where I needed it, and adjusted it just a touch. You can see a closer view in the corner, great details!
The pairing I mentioned for that last photo was actually that the same two stores I featured there are the ones here as well :) The shirt is the casual prize from Kelli Kreations, called Lucy, and comes in standard mesh sizes. My sunglasses are the casual prize from ::be.YOU.tiful:: and have a built in resize script. The pants you can see a glimpse of in both photos are the same ones from photo #1, from SweetRed's Designs, for modesty purposes ;) All in all, I found a lovely variety of things to share with you tonight.
Hair note of the night: it's another Truth Hair Discount Room purchase :) This is Trinity and the gingers pack I bought was $50L. I always do enjoy a good bargain, and when saving money means I can have even more of my favorite hair brands, well who would bother trying to resist? :) They are usually quite crowded, so to avoid lag you'll probably want to keep your worn scripts to a minimum and maybe derender some folks when you arrive.

Hiya everyone! I've started working on another hunt, the Advanced or Casual Hunt, and as you can guess from the name, this hunt has two paths to choose from. The best part is that the paths are through the same exact stores, so you can find two prizes at each store if you're good enough at hunting :) The casual path is intended to be easier to find, the advanced for those hunters who are seeking a challenge, but you can find wonderful prizes from both paths. The hunt objects are blocks, yellow with a red C for casual and red with a yellow A for advanced. Their blog has links, preview photos (yay!!) and hints for each path so it's quite a valuable resource for hunting :) To show off some of the prizes, I headed to the lovely Star Journey sim and headed for the beach.
Here I am enjoying the Mishmash Fusion prize for the advanced path, this sexy mesh bikini top and skirt. There is a pair of mesh shorts for the guys, blue with a red belt, so they get to look hot on the beach too. They are stop #01 in the hunt, so right off the bat we get spoiled with this awesome find!
What's that I hear? A party starting on the beach? But I just changed into another bikini outfit...before I get changed again for the party, here is a glimpse of the casual prize from Euphoria Couture, #02 in the hunt, which comes with the earrings and sunglasses as well.
Well, I think this might be too dressy for a beach party, but it IS very elegant and deserves some showing off :) This is the advanced path prize from Euphoria Couture, and includes the dress, clutch, choker, and matching sandals for Slink high feet. Let's see if I can find something more suitable for a beach party...
This looks great for the beach party or for any occasion really, and what a clever twist on the high-low mullet style dress...this skirt is shorter in the back than the front! This is the advanced prize from Soul Designs #03, and the floral design is gorgeous.
I decided to try on one last outfit before leaving the beautiful beach, and oh what a treat this one is! The dress is the advanced prize from WICKED, and the jewelry is the casual prize from the same store, so if you find both cubes you'll get this amazing dress and accessories too :) So just think, that's only the first four stores I've shared and I've already enhanced my wardrobe beautifully.
Hair note of the night: Truth Hair (yes, my favorite hair store) has moved dozens of styles to their new Discount room, where you'll find individual color packs for $50L each! They are mostly sculpt/flexi styles, but there are a few mesh varieties as well. Just head for the back, or look on your mini map for the huge blob of dots, LOL. That store is pretty much always crowded, so you can well imagine a discount room is going to be even more so. My method is to stand in one place, cam around a lot, grab any demos I want, TP home to try them on, and go back when I know exactly what I want. The style I'm wearing in these photos is called Eden and those pretty flowers have a menu (touch the hair to bring it up) to change their color among several choices, or turn them off completely as I have done for a couple of the photos. You can see the back of it in the 4th photo, there are flowers in the back as well :)

Hiya everyone! It's been a lovely journey along the Silk Road Hunt path, and I have just a few more really nice goodies to show you. I feel like this is the kind of hunt that people can do no matter what your main SL style is, just to have a few treasures to keep in your inventory for that theme party you want to attend (or throw), or perhaps some of the furnishings would be perfect for a corner of your home. My home is out of room, hehe, it's a rental skybox in which I'm pushing the prim allowance limits pretty hard. That makes what I did for these photos pretty funny actually...
This is a gorgeous temple (several pillars, rounded top, very classical looks) from Emma's #074 with a fire pit with optional sounds, and the marble has 18 different texture choices which are all quite lovely...and I rezzed it on top of my peaked roof. Yep, that's the only place I could temporarily display it, LOL. That background you're seeing, that grass and trees and such, is the panoramic enclosure around my skybox and NOT part of the temple whatsoever. I am wearing the amazing Hera outfit from Tamiron Forge (#069), and for the men there is a stunning Heracles outfit that looks well suited for any gladiator. Hera includes the bracelets and earrings shown, along with the shoulder drape that is separate so you can choose to go without as well.
See, there's that beautiful toga without the shoulder drape, so you can see the wonderful gifts from KK's Trinkets, #071 in the hunt. The Black Beauty set includes the necklace, earrings, and ring you see here. You might notice I changed the marble texture on the temple as well.
These adorably fun ear cuffs are from prize #075 from Posh, which is found at a breathtaking Asian garden sim. I must say, I'll be returning to explore more and I enjoyed the little while Xan and I spent there as we completed the hunt :) The ear cuffs come with a HUD to change the gemstone color (red, blue, or white) and metal color (gold or silver). There is a resize script built in if you touch them, and I had to adjust their position to suit my ears with the good old-fashioned edit method. They're pretty yet playful, and I felt cheerfully elfin in them :)
Back inside my house, I decided to take off my Slink feet to show you one final cute prize, these are the female gift from Lindy Modern & Retro shoes. They're called Aliaa and remind me of either a genie or an elf, with an intriguing pattern that looks like paisley with a splash of something else I can't quite identify. If you don't own Slink feet or just find yourself taking them off a lot, Lindy's is a great place to go for hunt prizes as all the ones I've seen in there appear to be for default avatar feet. I was tempted to try to edit them for the Slink flats, but the way they narrow in the front I decided it wouldn't work out well. I think these would go really nicely with a Boho style long skirt or sundress, or maybe something with a crochet texture.

Hiya everyone! I'm still slipping my way through the Silk Road Hunt, finding some really innovative stores and a veritable goldmine of historical treasures. Allow me to show you some more goodies...
Here we see two different prizes, the beautiful toga and the majestic throne. The toga is from store #056 AdelleArts and comes in standard mesh sizes, and I am truly taken by the crisp linen texture which looks as though if I touched it, it would tickle my fingertips with its rich weave. I am seated upon prize #053 from [Park Place] and enjoying one of 10 female sit poses, there are also 9 male poses built in. Please excuse the poor editing of the shoes, included with the toga and meant for default feet, which I tried to fit to my Slink flat feet but I see a pinky toe popping out the side.
This pose made me chuckle so I just had to share it...this is the Roman Garden Chair from Zoe's Garden #052 with 14 sit poses, this one just happens to make me look like a bored and sleepy child ;) I love the marble texture, and the tassels on the fabric are a great little touch.
For more breathtaking beauty, this necklace from WILLOW is sure to catch your eye! Aptly named Blue Nebula, this is a welcome addition to my inventory and will be worn with as many outfits as I can reasonably match it to. I may go back when I have more lindens to see if they offer it in other colors, or have matching earrings, it's just that gorgeous.
A bit of explanation, when I reached store #064 in the hunt, Mountain Rose, I was surprised to discover that it hosts a 26 prize mini hunt. I cannot possibly show you that many prizes, hehe, and considering that some of them contained about a dozen pieces of furniture or several individual costumes, it would take me the rest of the month (the time frame of this hunt) to give you a fair glimpse at everything you'll receive if you find all 26 pyramids. Instead, I'll give you a couple of peeks and the heads-up that pretty much everything you see while exploring the landing area, can be found in one of those gifts! We've got Roman and Egyptian themed items, from army tents and weapons to Cleopatra's palace and bedroom with all furnishings. In the above photo, you'll see a stunning Cleopatra throne (love the peacock feather pattern on the seat!) and those guardian Bastet statues are built in. My costume is one of the several you'll find, Cleopatra Seductress, and includes the system layer top (PG version shown, sheer also included) and undies, skirt, snake bracelets, winged scarab necklace and earrings. This can be found in #20 of the mini hunt, the throne in #12. Now the crook & flail I'm holding is a separate gift, #18, and the pose to hold it is built in. I really love that, as I remembered from a trip to an Art History museum a few years ago that the crook and flail was a symbol of the Pharaoh's authority. Cleopatra simply must have it then :)
This photo honestly makes me laugh, as my initial intention was to show you a better view of the arm guards I'm wearing which are part of the very detailed Hatshepsut costume from prize #13 in the mini hunt, but my pose winds up looking more like my avi is pleading for mercy after being caught playing in someone else's closet! I had to google to find out that Hatshepsut was a pharaoh with a very long and prosperous reign, remarkable for a female in her time. My costume seems to be as one of her soldiers, and includes the breastplate shirt (system layer) and a solid purple shirt not shown, underpants, helmet, arm guards, belt, Legionaire cape, and toga bottom with or without armor (with is shown). This is for adult female avis, there are also male versions and all in other sizes as well.
Whew, this was quite a post! I'm eager to get this posted and do anything I can to take my mind off that Game of Thrones finale...I watched it on my tivo a few hours ago, despite the internet making sure I knew almost everything to expect. Hiya everyone! I've got more prizes from the Silk Road Hunt to share, so I hope you all enjoy.
I blogged this toga yesterday, and decided it would go quite well with the prize I wanted to show you first, the statue base which is from Lunar Seasonal Designs. It's called I Wish I Was a Roman Statue and comes in masculine and feminine versions. The pose is wonderful, and the pillar itself has great texturing and pretty vines on it.
One of two gorgeous jewelry sets I've got to show you tonight can be seen here, prize #043 from Never Ever. The ring and necklace each have resizer scripts, as does the men's matching set. Those pretty beads go around to the back as well, so if worn with short hair or an updo you'll have a fun view from behind also.
This beautiful set of jade earrings and necklace is the prize #041 from Designs by Sebastian. They contain a resizer script that didn't seem to be working for me, perhaps a fun SL glitch for the evening hehe, but they are just gorgeous. There is also a necklace with just the center section of jade, not the side ones, for a more simple look. I'll be wearing this again and again for sure!
How about another lovely toga? This is the prize from Miss Darcy #040 and is called Lavinia. The dress is in standard mesh sizes, then the blue stola is separate. It's very cheerful, reminds me of the bright sun of noon and the deep sky of midnight. There is a coordinating men's prize as well.

Right click a pillow and sit and you'll be offered tea along with a menu of sitting poses, say yes to allow the tea cup to attach to you and you'll have what you see above. If your avi is hungry, click the table for a food menu and you'll get choices like potato curry, moroccan swiss chard, caramelized fennel and more. Pick the chopsticks and attach those, and you'll get a meal like the below photo.
Doesn't that look yummy? The textures on the various pillows are exquisite, and you can sit multiple avatars so you and your friends can have delightful meals together.

Hiya everyone! I've been working on a hunt from the folks at Historical Hunts, this is their 6th round of the Silk Road Hunt and the specific theme is Roman Empire. If you remember back in March I blogged a few times about the Steam X Hunt, these are the same organizers :) All the prizes are supposed to be either unisex or contain a male and female prize, so that's great news for the guys, who are frequently left out. In a lot of cases, unisex translates to household/furnishing type items, but there are quite a few costumes as well.
This fantastic mesh toga is from #023 Enchanted Designs. The ladies' prize includes the toga in standard sizes, laurel wreath pieces left and right (for easier adjusting I'd guess), strap sandals, and mid arch feet. Now I admit I had trouble with the feet, and even decided to try Slink mid feet with the sandals without success. So you may want to provide your own footwear, but don't most dresses expect us to do that anyway? :) The toga is stunning, and the wreath is a great touch.
How about another mesh toga style? This elegant prize is from **DSO** who are #027 in the hunt. Her name is Vesta, and the male version is called Vulcan, and they each come in standard mesh sizes.
This unique style outfit is from Rosamyndi's, #007 in the hunt. We have system layer top and glitch pants, two different styles of skirt (prim flap or the fuller skirt shown), the head jewel and neck jewel I'm wearing. That gold texture is really eye catching.
Next we have a remarkable toga that would be perfect for roleplaying or a themed party (or perhaps a costume event at a club). From Tayren's Fantasy Fashion, #026, you will find included a system layer top and glitch pants, shoulder drape in regular and busty/lolas sizing, the lovely bracelet I'm wearing, mesh laurel crown, a lola's applier, and jeweled sandals for default feet that are not shown. Whew, that's a lot of goodness in one package! This is Antonia, and the male version Antonius is equally stunning :)
When I visited Sparrow by Design (#025), I was pleasantly surprised to find not only the pyramid we're looking for as the hunt object, but a bonus gift for each male and female. While the main prize contained household goodies (sofa and decorator plates), the bonuses were outfits that strictly speaking do not match the main theme, but are quite fun! In the photo above I'm wearing the female giftie of course, those bright colors are really something!
Nail note of the night: I needed simple but elegant, so I went with a marketplace freebie I've blogged before, French Natural by Snow. Goes with everything, and provides a classic look to suit the various outfits I was wearing :) It was just what I needed.
I sure hope everyone is having a good weekend so far, with plenty of reasons to smile. My Saturday took a weird detour but I'm ready to have a fun Sunday :) Lots of magpie hugs to all of you!

Hiya everyone! I love the feeling of all the midnight mania boards I've clicked throughout the day, showering me with presents like it's Christmas every night! They may not all get enough clicks, but the ones that do always provide such terrific goodies. Here is a beautiful skirt and blouse set from Entice, which is currently on their Midnight Mania board for non-group members. There is another board for those who join their free group, and there are several lucky boards available for all.
I paired it with the Baby Monkey midnight mania board prize Imara, which I mentioned yesterday when I showed the dress from another midnight mania board there, and there is no group needed for either board. With all the color choices on the HUD, they worked beautifully with the next prize I'm showing you as well, the charming Lorey tunic dress by Rowena Springflower Designs.
The dress comes with a HUD to change colors as well, so you're sure to find a color that matches your mood. I love designers who use color HUDs!!
My final Midnight Mania prize I'd like to share is from Exquisite Jewellery, a stunning necklace and bracelet set. They didn't quite match either outfit, so I decided to go a different route in modeling them...
Thank goodness for nude pasties, hehe. My blog isn't indicated as adult content or anything so this was the safe way to show off this beautiful jewelry.
