Forever Fabulous

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm feeling a bit philosophical as I pondered the end of the FabFree Bring on Spring hunt, yet the fun truly never ends with FabFree :) That is partly because of their wonderfully maintained FabFree group gift listing on the blog, which is updated all the time with new gifts that you may have spotted some of if you did any of the April hunt. Even if you're completely new to their website and group, I'm sure you can find some fabulous gifts and helpful information about participating designers' sales, new releases and more. My fangirling shall be eternal, LOL, and the gifts I'm showing you tonight are a small sampling of the countless reasons for my devotion.

For my first look tonight, I'm wearing the lovely EC Sabrina Outfit Pink 2.0 gift from Emerald Couture. With your FabFree group tag active, please right click the sign and pay $1L which will be automatically refunded while the gift is delivered :) The dress and capri pants are each provided in sizing for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Petite X, Peach, Prima Busty, Prima Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The flowing dress has a clever silhouette of cats down the middle, dividing the pink and white on back and front, while our pants have some cat heads and paw prints down the left leg :) I thought of Sabrina the teenage witch and her cat Salem with the name.

Our Tibuki - Eira 5 and 6 gift is a beautiful set of two dresses and coordinating fur stoles, in soft pastels that make me happy :) The dresses come in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes, with the fur stoles in a single size each that should work for most shapes and sizes. I'm showing the dress 6 on the right without the stole so you can see the pattern a bit better, but the stole is a pale pink that matches its coloring nicely. One print seems more springy to me, and the other wintry, but since they are both subtle I think we can get away with either dress at any time we wish.

I also stopped by Duet, where the current FabFree gift is called Mai Dress Sapphire. Isn't she gorgeous? You'll have to take my word for it until you pick up your own copy that there are stunning animated sparkles on the dress, as it doesn't show up in still photographs. There is a HUD enclosed to adjust them, on/off as well as 3 speeds of fast, normal, or slow. The dress itself is a long sleeved beauty with partly bare back and cleavage cutout, in sizes for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu bodies. The twinkly texture reminds me of a disco ball, so this is therefore my newest dancing dress ;)

Next we take a gander at the flirty :::FurtaCor:::Andy Set which is their thoughtful gift for FabFree. The curvy tube top goes so well with the tight leggings that are open in the front and laced loosely all the way down :) Each piece comes in Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes, with a HUD that offers 15 colors apiece for the top, top lace (in the back), pants, and lace for the pants. So you can mix and match the colors to suit your mood or preferences, and I was surprised at how much I liked the neon green! 

One final look of the evening, we have the charming [K-Style] FIORELLA TOP & SKIRT #5 gift. The strapless top and itty bitty miniskirt are both lavishly decorated with ruffles, in a shade that reminds me of cornflower blue. This treat includes both in Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. 

I feel like the past few days have been a whirlwind, but not in a bad way necessarily. We're pulling together a last minute and early birthday celebration for a family member for tomorrow, so I've been perusing menus from 2 local places for when the birthday person decides at the last possible minute where they wish to get dinner from. Yikes. My dad is having gum surgery next week and will need to eat soft foods after, so the dinner was switched to this Friday. Nothing to worry about, just trying to make sure everyone can enjoy the birthday meal :) My mom got the same bakery who did my gluten free cheesecake a few months ago to do another for Friday, so even that is taken care of relatively simply.  Hiya everyone! Tonight I've got some treats to share from Emerald Couture, some of which you need their free group tag for and a couple that you just need luck instead. Magical Winter Fair Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the Magical Winter Fair & Hunt, which is a wonderful place to get some new clothing, accessories, or home decor for this season. The best par of shopping here is that a portion of the proceeds from many of the items go to charity, to help fund schools in Kenya. Education is vital for everyone no matter where, from simple things like reading and writing to more complex skills that help with 'adulting' :) In addition to the hunt items for $3L each, some of the designers are offering free gifts with no group tag necessary to reward us for stopping by. Those are what we'll be taking a look at here, and I am very grateful to everyone who takes part in these events. Please be sure to stop by before the 15th, which is this round's ending date.

Another thoughtful gift is our ILL No abandonment of pets top, which is actually a duo of single shoulder shirts. I love the way the top is cinched on both sides, so it draws attention to the bust and shows off our midriff :) This shirt is meaningful to me because of my family's history of taking in abandoned or unwanted birds...we did it once when I was a kid with a parakeet (budgie) my best friend's mom got tired of, and I did it again as an adult with another budgie whose humans were having another baby and had been neglecting their bird. I'm happy to be back from my day off, which was for a podiatrist visit to make sure my toenails are all healthy and behaving ;) It went smoothly really, which is quite a relief, and I'll be back for another trim in March. Meanwhile I've got a few interesting things to explore in SL this week, and some gaming time tomorrow after dinner that will lift my spirits. Blue SL (Da Ba Dee)

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we get to visit the BLUE SL Event, which always has such great offers (50L bargains!) and some generous group gifts as well. Their group is free to join, and if you hang out for a while with the group tag active as I did, you might automatically win a special gift too :) The current round is open until the 8th of January, so we've got just over a week to pick up demos and enjoy our shopping while claiming some really thoughtful gifts. My day got off to a chaotic start, and never really calmed down...I was supposed to go out at 3, but the housemate decided to go out and wasn't home until after 4. That means I didn't go out until rush hour, which of course is just fantastic for anxiety :P  The entire trip, to the store and back, was a litany of how these things never happen when I'm not in the car and it's my karma causing traffic and poor drivers all around. If you just raised an eyebrow, welcome to my world, LOL. Needless to say, I was in a tizzy when I got home, and didn't find everything that I wanted but at least a couple nice items. Blue SL Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post comes from the Blue SL Event, which frequently involves group gifts each round but this is their 2nd anniversary so it is even more special. There are so many terrific designers, and I appreciate their generosity with the $50L exclusives they offer as well as these thoughtful gifts. The Blue SL group is free to join, and the gifts are either free or very low cost (I saw one for $5L and am sharing one for a single linden dollar). I usually do song titles with 'blue' in the title for my post titles for this event, but decided to focus on the anniversary part instead here :) Perhaps next round I'll be back with another deep dive into colorful musical titles.

My first look is the cozy EC Anastasia Red v2 gift from Emerald Couture. Its hooded coat with lots of fur trim is provided in 5 fitmesh standard sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. The high heeled boots are unrigged and have the same lush fur as the coat, and to make things quicker I just used my body's HUD to hide my feet :) The red makes me feel festive, but also a touch of Red Riding Hood, so maybe I'm ready to star in a fairy tale.

The Nut & Squirrel Gabriella group gift is a lovely option for somewhere fancy this weekend. There is something so elegant about a mermaid style gown, and this one has a flirty bare back and deep V neckline, so we get to show off lots of skin while we're feeling formal :) There are sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies included, along with a HUD that lets us choose from 6 colors. If I love them all, does that mean I have to wear it 6 times in a row? Maybe it just means I can change colors partway through an evening like a fancy chameleon ;)

Because of the bare shoulders, this dress made me decide to share the NuNa LuNa gift with it, called ~NL~ Tattoo Upper - T15. There are 50% and 100% opacity versions of these rosy sleeve tattoos, as BOM layers and an applier for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink bodies. I genuinely couldn't decide which would photograph better, so I figured I might as well share both opacities for you to see.

Next I changed into the Allure Couture - Hallie Coat Set Black gift, which is both flirty and timely. The coat and skirt are linked as one piece, so that and the panties and even our boots are included in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing. We get to feel warm and cozy while baring just a flash of thigh, and of course the cleavage from the plunging neckline. The buckle on the belt is giving Santa vibes, but in a reverse color scheme. Santa could never look this hot in those boots or the skirt though ;) 

I switched bodies for my final look tonight, from Maitreya to Lara X, so I could share the gorgeous Uni-qu3::*MorningStar* night dress:*:::earth. Like several of these gifts, it was set to pay $1L, but this one did not refund so I believe it is intended to be a dollarbie, and as you can see it is so worth it! Our gown has an amazing full skirt whose pattern made me think 'disco ball', and the top is cut very cleverly to hide the essentials but reveal considerable midriff. There are sizes for Lara X, Bombshell, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies included in this sweet treat.

I've been noticing a pattern that if I wake up partway through my usual sleep cycle and then struggle to fall back to sleep, during the second chunk I have more intense and sometimes frightening dreams. If I doze off again quickly, it doesn't seem to have the same results. You can probably guess that since I'm mentioning it now, it did in fact happen to me earlier. The bad dream is lingering a little, despite my having had a nice time at my parents' for dinner and generally enjoying my evening. It's like it crept back into my conscious mind, and I want to shoo it away like a mosquito :P  We've got the timing settled for next Saturday's holiday meal, and all attendees have been notified (something I thought my mom did ages ago, whoops) with a potential plan for a small Thursday meal with just my parents. I don't want her to go to any extra trouble so I almost vetoed that one, but I will probably take next Thursday off from blogging to allow for potentially going there and/or helping her out in preparation for Saturday. Tomorrow I'm headed to the farmers market where there will be 3 food trucks, but I'm only interested in one of them. Emeralds at Palomma Plaza

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I visited Palomma Plaza, and found that Emerald Couture had put out new gifts there since I last shared them. So of course I had to pick them up with my Doves Angel tag from the Palomma Plaza group, free to join :) It is always a pleasure to visit there and be reminded of The Free Dove and the generosity of Palomma Casanova, while her friends keep her spirit alive in SL to honor her memory. The number of amazing gifts available is so impressive, and you'll find something for just about everyone so tell your friends, partner, new residents you meet, and anyone who deserves a little wardrobe refreshing. My landmark should point you to the Emerald Couture display, but be sure to check all around and enjoy your visit.

My first look of the evening is our EC Rhonda Romper Blue Rectangle gift. It caught my eye with that great halter neck and open back, and the contrast of geometric pattern against the navy satin shorts. The EC Jennie Short Set - Leaf is simply perfect for those warm days we're still having in late summer. Its embossed tank top and formfitting shorts are each provided in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body sizing. I'd happily wear the top with a pair of capris or longer pants if it gets cooler, or even a skirt if I felt flirty :) 

Many of Emerald Couture's outfits include footwear, for which I am eternally grateful. A good example of that would be our EC Sommer Outfit v2 Blue gift, which also has a summery vibe to it. The sheer ruffle on the bottom almost distracts from the thong cut of the rear, lol, and the tube top has a fun opening that shows off lots of cleavage. 

Next I slipped into the EC Chun 2 Outfit Green gift, which makes sense for the store's namesake gem being known as the same color :) We start with the dress which is gathered at the neck and waist for tiny pleats, and tied with a slim belt. Then we get to add a matching sandal to fit the same set of mesh bodies :) I feel very well put together when my shoes are a perfect match like this, don't you?

For my final look tonight, I chose the lovely EC Sunny Outfit Cherry gift. The sleeveless dress skims along our curves to flare out slightly to a wide ruffle hem, with an intriguing pattern in very pretty colors that make me think of autumn. It and the matching sandals with their charming bow on the back of the ankle are each included in Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Peach, and Reborn mesh bodies. Now I just have to decide where to wear this beauty first!

I am trying to go with the flow as some of my usual plans have gone topsy-turvy, like my usual Friday dinner with my parents is being switched to Saturday because of the procedure he's having done. He's been experiencing A-fib and they're basically shocking him (cardioversion) with electrical current to try to restore the normal heart rhythm. It doesn't sound fun by any means, so I understand delaying dinner of course. I'm supposed to try to go to the farmers market Saturday too, so we'll see. At least I got to do my usual Thursday multiplayer in Hello Kitty with a friend, since chatting with her always makes me happy :) The next few days will just have to fall into place, I can't do much else but be patient and optimistic. Emeralds Are Lucky

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is wishing you lots of luck, as we will be hanging out at some lucky chairs :) That would be the ones at Emerald Couture in their new location, 7 chairs with no group tag needed to have a seat and claim your prize if your initial or a "?" wild card shows up. Each chair holds several color variations of its outfit or dress, so you could wind up with a whole new wardrobe! They change about every 10 minutes, so I suggest bringing a friend (hopefully with a different initial, lol) to make the chairs change faster and the time pass even more pleasantly. I'd been stalking these chairs for a while and wound up with enough prizes to show off 2 colors for each of the looks tonight.

For my first look, I am wearing the EC Evelyn Outfit in Midnight on the left, with Wine on the right. I love the way the top has the same fun pattern as the sandals, which reminds me of metallic flakes you might see in nail polish :) The straps on the midriff are such intriguing touches too, linked to one of the two bows on the back. 

The two colors of our EC Chun 2 Outfit prize that I won are somewhat similar, but I adore them both and would still love to win other colors of this cutie. The Pink set on the left and Lilac on the right each include the stunning dress in 5 standard sizes along with sizing for Freya, Venus, Erika, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Peach, Prima, Reborn, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies (whew!) with matching strappy sandals for Freya, Gen X, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Peach, Prima, Reborn, and Slink feet. Basically it's been updated to fit tons and tons of popular bodies, and I'm very grateful! FabFree St Patty's Day

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is packed with prizes from the FabFree St. Patty's Day Hunt, which are $0L - $5L and hiding in neon rainbows. Just think, you're finding something even better than a pot of gold by following these rainbows ;) The website will guide you with landmarks, hints, and preview images, plus the prices to help you budget for your explorations. I definitely have a fondness for both the FabFree group and their blog, going way back to my early days in SL. Our hunt started on the 10th and runs until the end of March.

It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies, so I changed into my Lara X from my Lara 5.3 to accommodate these curves.

I am having a rough evening, struggling with some stuff brought up in therapy earlier and having received some shocking and terrifying advice based on a temporary situation. I stared at the screen without even saying a word for a few minutes, then burst into tears and had to excuse myself for a moment. Silly me, I didn't have tissues with me for this session as usual, and it's only the third time I'd needed them. Now I just feel upset and sick to my stomach from stress. Love My Planet Fair

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I've got some treats to share from the Love My Planet Fair/Hunt 5, which is a wonderful celebration that also raises money for schools in Kenya. I've always appreciated that the SL community is very willing to support charities in general, and this one (Harambee-Gwassi) is very helpful for kids who need help getting a start in life with education. This event has several free gifts as well as a $3L hunt, and many items for sale are set up to donate a percentage to the charity fund. If you're going to be spending lindens anyway, why not do it in a way that also helps people? :) The fair is open until the 10th of March, so about a week and a half remain to stop by and shop/donate.

My first look is the EC I Love You Dress v2 gift you'll find for free at the Emerald Couture display. The bare shouldered, extra short dress comes in sizing for Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. I'm also head over heels for the sheer ruffles on the sleeves and hemline, with a romantic golden print over the deep crimson background color.

I must admit, I am feeling some level of emotional overload tonight...it's not any one single thing either, just a general feeling of burnout from things I should do, things I can't do, things other people are doing...and for anyone else out there feeling stressed out, I can only say I am sorry and I commiserate. I'm staying home tomorrow because my stomach is not really enjoying the stress, so no triumphant return to the farmers market this week :( Otherwise I have no concrete plans other than SL exploring with Xan.
