More Swank Goodies

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am enjoying more of the SWANK Event group gifts from their Winter Wonderland of Gifts round. It is free to join their group, and that tag will let you click all the dozens of pretty gift boxes wrapped in festive red ribbon at many of the displays. This is such a generous event, and there are the usual fantastic sales offers throughout both floors of the sales area. Be sure to complete you shopping and gift claiming before the end of the month when they close down until the new year :)

My first look of the evening is the Melody HILDA DRESS FATPACK. Our gift includes Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing, along with a HUD that offers 20 colors each for 4 different portions. The main dress, upper sleeves, sheer lower sleeves, and cuff trim are each represented in those four parts of the HUD and can be tinted all the same or you can get creative and do a rainbow of hues.

Another gift I am delighted to share is the Ruxy-Arabella red dress. This beauty has a deep V neckline and is gathered with a solid red belt accentuated with a gold medallion on the bow in front. So pretty! There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. I really like the lacy design on the fabric too.

Next I shimmied into the flirty Cherry Up! Nori Top & Shorts @Pink gift. Both pieces are provided in eBody Reborn, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, and the color is a sizzling shade of hot pink :) I must admit I got the giggles from realizing that 90% of the material in the top is on the sleeves rather than covering the boobs ;) Our shorts are gathered on each side and tied with the laces hanging down to tickle our thighs, looking really snug in that rear view to show off the booty.

The charming VEGA CHLOE DRESS SWANK GIFT includes a HUD that lets you choose from 10 textures, 5 of which are solid colors and the other 5 are various striped color combos like on the left above. Interesting straps always catch my attention, so the crossed front and back straps connecting the top and skirt made me smile. There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies inside this thoughtful gift.

My final look this evening is the {Le'La} Gihan Set Gift which is one of the two gifts I found here from this generous designer :) The top and skirt are an ideal pairing, each in sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kup Ups, Legacy, Perky, Perky Petite, Maitreya, Petite, Peach, and Reborn mesh bodies. I really like the steely color and the flirty styling, covering all the right places while baring a playful amount of skin.

It was a quiet day and then a busy evening somehow, leaving me a bit frazzled but that isn't entirely uncommon lately ;) The farmers market I used to go to regularly (and still send the housemate with a shopping list each week) just sent out an email this evening that they are canceling this Saturday because of the rainy forecast. I feel badly for the chef who was the featured lunch vendor, as we don't know how much warning they gave her so she might be stuck with having ordered lots of extra ingredients like meats and eggs which are all so expensive lately. She is from Thailand and does lots of delicious Thai specialties that I really appreciate like ramen, dumplings, and she always makes fried rice specially for me :) My parents had preordered some gluten free dishes from her too, as they do about every other week I think. Oh well, as far as SL goes we have a few more days before several hunts and events wrap up, with a few continuing into the new year, and I am going to share as much as I can while possible. Sweets From Swank

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we return to the wonderful Swank Event and their 10th anniversary round. If you join their free group, you can claim dozens (hundreds?) of free gifts by clicking the golden orbs with a number 10 inside them, and there are some treats for the guys as well as plenty for the gals. I know I've already shared lots of these gifts, and there are still oodles worth checking out :) They will probably be offering gifts next month for Halloween too, LOL, so if you enjoy these designers you can hang onto the landmark because we will surely be back.

For my first look of the night, I am wearing the ladies' gifts from Hawker's House. Their *HH* Ladies Mesh Sonja Button Sweater Ivory is packaged with the jeans you see here, and the *HH* Ladies Mesh Solana Sandal Heels Caramel are in a separate box but from the same gold orb. (There is also a men's gift in the neighboring display!) The sweater has brown buttons down the left side beneath the bared shoulder, and comes in classic M and fitmesh M standard sizes, as well as versions for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. The rolled skinny jeans are provided in 5 standard mesh sizes and 5 fitmesh sizes, along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique body sizing. As for our lovely neutral heels, they are a fun match for those buttons and will fit Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, Slink, Tonic, and Voluptuous mid-height feet. They can easily be worn with other outfits too, and I am definitely enjoying the peeptoe style with the closed heel for this time of year. Another handy hint I'd like to offer is to use the alpha layers that are included with the sweater and jeans if any of your body is poking through...as long as your mesh body is BOM compatible (as the vast majority are) you can hide what you need to without even touching your body's HUD.

My next look combines elegance with sex appeal :) The AnaSTyle - Manola Pink&Black gift includes the dress, footwear, and even the jewelry seen here, so it really is a complete outfit all for free. Our dress comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, while the boots are provided in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. These look like strappy sandals with fishnet stockings to just above the knee, all in one piece for easy wearing. Then the necklace and earrings are unrigged and adjustable if needed, with a lovely dreamcatcher vibe. 

VEGA also has a charming goodie waiting for us, their Mesh Lila Dress. The top and skirt look like separates but are linked and worn at once, in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. There is also a HUD included with 10 choices, each of which tint both top and bottom at once in either matching or coordinating textures. You can see on the right above a choice that has patterned blouse and solid pink skirt, and I recall a brown skirt with a leopard print top (or vice versa, now I forget LOL) so there is a terrific variety here. I'm loving the bare shoulders and the asymmetrical hemlines, both top and cinched skirt. 

If you can't get enough plaid this autumn, be sure to grab the YK - Noa Set gift from YoKana for a tempting schoolgirl type look. The cropped top and pleated miniskirt each fit Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, and the gift includes a HUD with 12 options for each. This is certainly a case where I suggest trying all the buttons on the HUD and seeing what combo speaks to you on any particular day :) Okay that is almost always going to be my advice, lol, as I have too much fun with HUDs as you can tell. Sorry not sorry, that's what they are there for and I think the designers would be pleased to know that we are taking advantage of their creations' versatility.

My final look for the evening is our gift from StunnerOriginals, their beautiful Dress Nara Fatpack. The neckline is the star of the show with its intricate trellis of fabric, and the extra short skirt is a good reason for them to have built in a pair of panties :) There are sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a HUD that offers 12 choices each for dress, waist (neck piece) and panties. 8 of those are solid colors like the purple on the right above, and the other 4 are lovely floral patterns. Mixing and matching is always a good time, and the neckpiece is slightly sheer so it does look a bit different even when you use the same texture on both visible parts.

Whew, what a weekend! I had a buildup of anxiety before my therapy session, so when he was telling me we really ought to go to the dentist office parking lot (in other words, get your butt in a car to get over the fear!) I couldn't even speak for a moment, then burst into tears. Not my finest moment by far, heh, and I am still honestly a bit embarrassed even though being vulnerable in front of one's therapist is expected and not a bad thing. I pulled myself together and got to the parking lot, and he thinks I did better than previous attempts made during therapy sessions. My stomach was uneasy but I was able to distract myself to some extent I guess. Otherwise I had more fun with Paleo Pines, as they'd released a video of one of the dinosaurs (Gallimimus) interacting with a picnic table so of course we had to obtain one and watch that for ourselves :) If you ever play games on Steam or Xbox and like relaxing farming style games, I do highly recommend this one. I've learned more about dinos in the past several months than I ever did in school, that's for sure, and loved every minute of it. Swank Sweets

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features several more gifts from the SWANK Event and their annual pumpkin hunt. All you have to do is visit, join the group if you aren't already a member, and have fun clicking all the pumpkins you can find at many of the displays on both floors of this impressive event. The pumpkins have a golden Swank logo on them, for an extra touch of elegance that I also found increases visibility. Bling with a bonus of being easier to spot :) Many designers have multiple displays at the event and only put a pumpkin at one of them, while others have a few gifts waiting for us. I'm grateful for every single one of them, and am excited to share several more in upcoming posts here and there.

My first look of the evening is the GGVG ASTER BLOUSE&SKIRT which is one of several treats I found from this generous designer. The tuxedo styled blouse and diagonally hemmed skirt are each provided in classic M and fitmesh M for classic avatars, along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. We also get a HUD with 20 textures for the blouse and 12 solid colors for the skirt, so we get to mix and match to our hearts' content :) I really like the refined style, and did you notice the belt attached to the skirt? Chic!

The AXE STORE GIFT halloween dress really intrigued me, as I am not certain what its pattern is supposed to be. I first noticed the seams that remind me of the veins on a leaf, then the fairly abstract pattern that had me seeing ghosts or skulls and maybe blood? Fascinating to stare at, and with this sexy style you will probably attract quite a few glances already. The gift includes sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies. 

Next we take a peek at the flirty [COSMOS] Amira Dress / 10 Colors Fatpack which is yet another generous Swank gift. The bodice reminded me of a teardrop, with a golden ring for a halter neckline. Then the back is daringly low cut, showing just a bit of booty cleavage and it would be a terrific way to display a back tattoo :) There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with a 10 color HUD as referenced in the name. The deep brown I chose on the left had me craving dark chocolate!

The weather may be getting chilly, but we can definitely turn up the heat with our VEGA: Mesh Ana Dress gift! The top has a bold opening tied with slender straps at the neck and then wrapped around the waist to attach to the skirt portion, and they are linked to wear as one piece. The dress fits Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies, and there is a HUD with 12 fun texture choices that each have a coordinating top and skirt combo. Some of the buttons look similar so I'm going to suggest as I have many times before, just have fun clicking them all and seeing what catches your eye the most :) There simply are no wrong answers with this many great picks.

My final look of the night is the striking Ruxy-Caroline gift, which you might want to grab for whatever you have planned for the upcoming weekend. This shapely mini dress has seams in all the right places, and a bold chain for a halter neckline that I feel eliminates the need for any added jewelry, at least not a necklace :) There are sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies included. The hints of shine I'm seeing, mostly on the hips, do we think that means it's leather or latex? It certainly looks to be something rich and supple, and fits like a dream.

The weekend is almost here, and I'm in a surprisingly positive mood after tackling a challenge during my therapy session earlier :) The medical appointment I need soonest is the podiatrist for these stupid ingrown toenails, so we did a dry run and I made it without too much anxiety. That is a step in the right direction since trying to go there Sunday was unsuccessful and I had to turn around about 2/3 of the way there. Even that partial trip was the furthest I'd been from home in several months, so I am celebrating any shreds of progress that I can. Next step will be scheduling an appointment and actually letting them take a whack at my poor toes, LOL, as the goal was to help retrain my brain that I have done this before and was fine so I can do it again. Agoraphobia is the mind trying to protect us from 'danger' (stress) but it gets carried away and becomes overprotective, so any discomfort or slight nervousness becomes a huge deal. I appreciate what my brain is trying to do, but I need to protect my feet from the wildly growing toenails too ;) Well I hope you're all having a glorious day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Gift Me One More Time

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have even more SWANK Event gifts to share from their 8th anniversary round. We have just over a week remaining to visit and click all the glass globes with golden logo inside that we can find, with their free group tag active. There are so many treats waiting, I'm guessing it must be over 100, as well as the usual special sales offers that abound here each round. I have certainly had a wonderful time sharing many gifts with you, as usual thanks to the many generous designers who are a part of the Swank family.

First we have the lovely .:FlowerDreams:. Zoe Dress which is one of 2 gifts I found there from this talented designer :) Inside we have sizes for Altamura, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Maitreya, Petite, Signature, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minim mesh bodies, along with a 12 texture HUD. There are several solid hues on there, and a few fun patterns like the sequined one I chose on the left that gives me mermaid scale vibes.

If you need something casual and extra cute, I'd love to suggest the #SHOOSH - Rae Outfit [PATTERN FATPACK] gift! It is worn as one piece, in Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Erika, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. There are two HUDs included too - the top HUD has 10 textures for the shirt, 40 bow options, and 40 buttons options (mixes of solid and prints) while the shorts HUD offers 30 terrific colors that all have the fun kawaii face on the front. The style is very playful, with cat ears on the waist and ruffles on the shorts legs, with simple suspenders to hold things just so.

Our Malandra - Happy Life- #1 gift has a flattering style with extra flirtatious detail :) The mini dress whose spaghetti straps cross in the back will fit eBody Reborn, Juicy Boobs, Erika, Kupra Squeezed, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh bodies. It also includes a transparency HUD with 3 settings in addition to solid, so I am wearing it fully solid on the left and the third (most sheer) transparency setting on the right. The pattern caught my attention and my curiosity because I can't quite tell what I'm seeing there...cats? bears? tails? unicorn horns? Whatever it may be, I can confidently declare it adorable! :D

Next I changed into the TO.KISKI gift called Madison Sexy Mini Dress, Gold. This beauty has a halter neck and lots of flirty cutouts to go with the extra short hemline, living up to the 'sexy' in its name spectacularly :) We receive sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. the delicate pattern almost made me think of stained glass, although lace overlay seems more likely. My imagination is working overtime tonight, I swear I didn't consume anything mind-altering!

My final look of the evening is our gift from VEGA DESIGN, their stunning Nina Dress. I love high-low hemlines like this, especially on a flowing slip dress so it makes walking look extra dreamy. There are Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes included, as well as an 8 color HUD to change up the look as much as we desire. Don't make me pick just one favorite, I can't do it when they all look so pretty! ♥

My next few days will be rather busy, but I am sticking to my usual blogging schedule (taking off Saturday evening as my weekend break) so I am already coming up with ideas for the next couple posts to make things easier each evening. I have virtual appointments tomorrow and Friday, with notes of what to discuss for each, like two of my medications (one I take regularly, the other I haven't yet as more of an emergency situation) having a potential interaction of irregular heart rhythm but the pharmacy didn't tell me this until the 5th time filling the second one prescribed. Thanks? This is the same pharmacy that lost all record of filling a prescription for me, despite my having the bottle with their info printed right on the label, so I'm losing confidence in them. Local supermarket with pharmacy, not a big chain like CVS or Rite Aid, but I have both of those in my area too if I need to switch. The one I currently use has better prices usually though, so it will be a bummer if they don't shape up. Goodies for SLFO Group

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features several group gifts for the SLFO group, which stands for Second Life Frees & Offers. The group notices are packed with information about sales and new releases, and many of the participating designers offer a gift for the group members at their mainstore. So I visited with the group tag active and looked around to see what I could find :) There are really talented people in SL, and I am always delighted when they share gifts with these multi-designer groups so I can spread the word too. It's always interesting to visit stores we haven't seen in a while, or perhaps it is our very first time stopping by one of them so we are introduced to their style and quality.

For my first look of the evening, I visited Tiffany Designs and teleported to their gifts room from the teleporter at the landing spot. There I found the charming ::TD:: Milly Outfit {Mesh} ~ Model 4 as our SLFO gift. It consists of the top, skirt, and arm wraps, each in sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Legacy Nerido, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy mesh bodies. The separate pieces are handy as it means we can wear the top without the arm straps if we prefer, or mix things up and pair any of the pieces with items already in our wardrobes. There are several other groups' gifts waiting here too, so while you're here I recommend taking a peek.

I'm much more of a warm weather fan (not sweltering hot, just moderately warm) than cold, so this bikini is just another temptation to head to an SL beach! This is the !PCP :: Blossom Bikini gift from Pink Cream Pie, in a bold royal blue with straps that twist to resemble infinity symbols. The top and bottom each fit Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies, and both have playful ruffles that add a bit of fluttery sex appeal. This store is well known for high quality fashions so I wasn't surprised at all to be so happy with this gift.

The VEGA : Mesh Dress Group Gift makes me think of autumn because of the earthy colors, but of course we can layer some leggings beneath for a more bundled up look if we wish :) The corset belt draws in the waist and gives an even more curvy appearance, and its solid brown matches the plaid dress beautifully. We receive sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies when we claim this lovely gift.

Seniha's treat for us is a stunning duo of dresses called Dalia Dress // Gift. Version 1 is the pretty pink one on the left above, with v2 being captivating blue. Each comes in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. I love the ruched style that draws the dress into the center, for a gentle V both top and bottom. 

My final look this evening has a different shade of blue, coincidental but all greatly appreciated. This is the A&J CREATION ALISON LACE DRESS BLUE gift for SLFO, and we can claim it in Belleza, eBody, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Tonic Curvy sizes with our group tag. The style is sure to turn heads with its curving front opening that snakes its way down from neck to hem, tied just loosely enough to show off a tiny flash of skin. It also has a built in bolo type necklace, and an embossed floral motif as its stunning fabric pattern.

It was a fairly tame day, rainy and spent indoors focused on SL things and planning for the weekend. I'm having a houseguest to help me celebrate my birthday on Sunday, but their arrival late Friday will not interfere with my usual blogging schedule since they have to be back home by Sunday night. I keep things simple, food from a favorite restaurant (takeout) and time spent with the 4 people who mean the most to me.
