Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is another fun-filled look at some prizes from the Hocus Pocus event in SL. Grab the HUD to help you teleport to each store (and it shows previews of the prizes) from the marketplace or event office for free, then at each location you will see a playful pumpkin named Pumpkin McExtra. Say "hocus pocus" to him in local chat, without the quotes, and he will either reward you with a prize or tell you to return in 24 hours to try again. Alternatively, you can purchase the prize for $50L until the event ends on the 5th of November. There are some fantastic gifts awaiting, you just need a little luck that Pumpkin McExtra is feeling generous.
First we have a flirty tube top from Faida which is simply called Hocus Pocus and comes in a single size that perfectly fits my Maitreya body. Check out that skull on the front, who seems to have been nomming on something or someone since he's got a bit of blood on his teeth. With all that exposed neck, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to show off another Hocus Pocus prize, the Goth1c0 Heart Choker purple. It has a resize script built in for easy adjusting, and I love the intricate carving surrounding the purple heart. That rose above and teardrop below are fantastic touches!
If the Pumpkin McExtra at Decoy is impressed by your magic, you will receive two shirts in one generous prize to enjoy for Halloween or whenever. On the left is Decoy Halloween Crop Top - Basic Witch, on the right their Halloween Crop Top - Pumpkin, each included in a Maitreya mesh size. A lot of these stores cater specifically to Maitreya wearers since they are such a large slice of the mesh body wearing population. You probably noticed the adorable collar I'm wearing, well that is our Hocus Pocus prize from Noyel called Spoopy Collar. The carved pumpkins as the O's in spoopy made me smile, and a clever match for the pumpkin version of the Decoy shirt.
I also found that the Pumpkin McExtra at Olive was in a good mood, so he gave me these terrific BunTEA Mugs to treasure. There are wearable and rezzable versions of each that you see here, and you might notice that they are steaming hot so be careful ;) The left hand version is the blue one with white bunny head marshmallows, and the right hand one has green marshmallows floating inside so I wonder if they are mint flavored. The tea bag tags are adorable, aren't they? They do have hold poses built in too, so you don't spill your tasty new beverage.
This gift cracked me up, and after yesterday's post with my explanation about choosing to censor myself a bit (nipple coverage) it was all too appropriate that I won the prize from Little Llama today. This is their Censored outfit, with 3 different shades (I am wearing the second, untinted) that are tintable and unrigged so you can modify them as needed, and it is worth mentioning that the texture is animated so those little pixels move around. This makes for a hilariously sexy Halloween costume, or just something to enjoy when you feel mischievous.
There are a few nail related prizes in this year's round of Hocus Pocus, and I am delighted to show you one tonight :) This is the Dark Passions - Koffin Nails - Fatpack - Mischievous Binx, and that includes appliers for Maitreya, Slink, and Omega. Each HUD has these 6 designs to choose from, various background colors for a black cat with glowing yellow eyes who was probably named for Binx from the Hocus Pocus movie. I was going to wait for Halloween to watch, but I might have to indulge a day early, too tempting!
Today I mostly rested, and am still having plenty of coughing fits but I think my throat feels a little better and my sinuses might be a bit clearer. Hiya everyone! Tonight I am thrilled to be showing you some of the many terrific prizes from the Fall 2017 Twisted Hunt, which is the 18th biannual round and has a theme of Victorian Gothic. The cubes you are searching for this time are Burgundy Wine colored, and that color is featured on some of the generous prizes. The cubes are free when you find the right one, but that in itself is the catch since this is billed (I believe quite accurately) as the hardest hunt in SL. There can be up to 10 visible decoys, wireframe is useless since they can hide infinite amounts in the walls/floors/furniture and those would not count as visible decoys, and they are not required to offer hints. All prizes are within 30m of the landing spot, and I do suggest joining their inworld group where you can politely inquire about possible hints. Xan and I are taking our time, exploring the many side/mini hunts at various locations, and this means that my Twisted posts will probably not be consecutive. Please give this photo a click so you can see the full size beauty of these prizes :) The dress is from Anachron and found in their side hunt, prize 6 of 7, and is called Belle Victorian Evening Gown. She comes in standard mesh sizes and has some lovely details including the lacing on the back and the layers of lace on the bodice and skirt. That sweetheart neckline provides a perfect frame for the prize from Secrets of Gaia, their SoG Twisted Victorian Gothic Necklace. If you look closely, you will see that among the gemstones are burgundy cubes, actually replicas of the hunt objects we seek. I was pleased to see that special touch, the necklace makes a beautiful souvenir of our hard work hunting!

Hiya everyone! My blog post might not make much sense at first glance, but it is just to touch on the two main sources of tonight's featured items, the Twisted Hunt and the Rally To Rescue event. As I mentioned yesterday, the Twisted Hunt is billed as the hardest hunt in SL and will have you searching for green spinning cubes. The theme for spring 2017 is Infinity and the color is multi-green so there are a lot of interpretations of those among the prizes, which run the gamut from clothing (male and female) to accessories to some really fun home decor and more. We are one week into Rally To Rescue, and it runs until the 20th of the month so you have time still to visit and help out those animals who need our protection. I will never understand how people can be so heartless about companion animals, but grateful that the majority of us do care and want what's best for them. All proceeds from the many items for sale at the event are being donated to non-profit, no-kill volunteer animal rescue organizations, and more information can be found at kiosks at the event. You can donate without purchase as well, just visit and don't forget to bring a friend :)
Are you ready to get physical? I sure am in this Twisted prize from [AMBI] called Twisted Ascension Sports Set. It is worth noting that there is a male prize included from Horr Menswear of sneakers which every guy could use for those casual times. The outfit you see includes the shorts and layered top, each in standard mesh sizes plus versions for Curvy, Fine, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Physique, Maitreya, and TMP bodies. I was quite taken with the infinity symbol on the shorts, and the fun but still practical styling of the layers of the tank tops. Speaking of infinity symbols, did you catch the flash of green on the nape of my neck? That is one of the three versions of the prize from Deluxe Body Factory, which I am about to show you in more detail.
This shimmery tattoo set is the prize from Deluxe Body Factory, their Infinity Omega Tattoos in green, and they are each, you guessed it, an Omega applier for most mesh bodies. From top to bottom we have Butterfly, Love, and Symbol so you can choose the one you prefer at any given time. On a personal note, in RL I have a gorgeous safety pin on my coat with an infinity symbol and the word love that looks a lot like the center image but no butterflies, so I am partial to that one. When people notice it and comment, I tell them it isn't about politics for me, it's about love, so the pin reflects that. I apologize that the image seems to have saved at a smaller size than normal, and hope you can still see the beautiful tattoos well.
More fresh green, and another infinity symbol, but this time it is a snake which I believe is a symbol from Greek mythology. *googles quickly* Yes, it is called an Ouroboros and either a dragon or serpent eating its own tail with many meanings throughout history. Just find that tricky little cube at Syren's Song to claim their Twisted Infinity dress in standard sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions. The short sleeves are great for spring, and it is short enough to be used as either a mini dress or a long tunic to wear over some simple leggings or capris. That shade of green is really striking!

Hiya everyone! It has been a busy several days here, but I am slowly working my way through the Spring 2017 round of the Twisted Hunt. The theme is Infinity and the color listed as multi/green, so the tricky little cubes you are searching for will be shades of that color as well as most of the prizes reflecting that color scheme. There are plenty of samples at the hunt headquarters, and once you get started you'll be seeing decoys galore and will never forget what they look like ;) Please remember it is billed as the hardest hunt in SL and it does live up to that, so I strongly recommend looking through their site and joining the group where you can politely ask for hints if you get stuck. I also am an advocate of teamwork, bring friends who enjoy hunting too. Many prizes are unisex (such as decor, accessories) or contain a mens and ladies prize, very useful with such a wide variety of hunters. Since I'm sure you are wondering about those prizes, please allow me to show you a few :)
First up, we have a sexy dress from :{MV}: called Eternity Crush Dress, which includes standard mesh sizes and alpha layer for classic avatars. The short skirt is wrapped in a sheer top layer around the sides and back, with an intriguing pattern embossed on it.
It is no secret that Sn@tch is one of my favorite stores, so I was definitely excited to visit and find their spinning twisted cube. This outfit is what you'll find inside, the Twisted Trinity Outfit, and it consists of the latex top, bottom, and gloves in system layers and Omega applier, along with the shades, mirror choker, and platform boots you see here. Included but not shown, a Trinity hair in white and black versions. As with all of Sn@tch's goodies, the details and texturing are amazing, and while you visit don't forget to check out their mini hunt. You will seek out 6 tiny orbs, black with green text like the Matrix, and the hidden prizes include everything from a hoverboard to a fun jacket.
Next let's head over to Treasured Designs for their two hidden prizes. There is no easel with information or hints (that is strictly optional) but I couldn't help but notice when I found the first prize that it said #1 of 2 inside the folder. This is actually that first prize, the ~TD~ Twisted Bikini, and it offers the top and bottom in standard mesh sizes plus Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions for the top and additional Tonic Curvy and Tonic Fine versions for the bottoms. So sexy, and I love all those straps and the heart details on the cups.
Our other wonderful prize from Treasured Designs is their Twisted Clover Outfit, in that same vibrant green and consisting of a bra, top, and pants so you can mix things up with the various components if you wish. Each piece is included in standard sizes plus Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. Now I would like to add a tiny hint here, which is generally good advice for this entire hunt...the cubes are required to be within 30m of where you land, and that can be in any direction. Think about that, not every prize is going to be ground level or even in the stores.
Naturally I had to share a better look at the nails I have been sporting tonight, these are the prize from Goth1c0 and are their Infinity Green Polish Collection for Slink. The applier features 10 different designs, as you can see there are a few tipped in black at the cuticle, and two that look like water reflections, as well as some really glossy solids. I am always grateful to have such well crafted nails, and extra bonus that these happen to be a free prize if you find that sneaky cube.

Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is not about the endearing movie Hocus Pocus (which I'll be watching again in a few hours) but rather an SL event also named Hocus Pocus. You can claim lots of free gifts by visiting each store and saying "hocus pocus" in local chat (all lower case) near the sign and magic bottle that reminds me of a glass candle in a jar. You have at least a 30% chance of winning and can try once every 24 hours, until November 4th. If you get impatient you can always by the prize for $50L instead. You can get a HUD for free on the Marketplace or by clicking the signs to help you TP quicker from place to place, and it shows a preview of the prize for each store right in your viewer screen, but the HUD isn't required to claim them. I find it very handy though :) There are still quite a few prizes I haven't won yet, but I wanted to show you some of them tonight before it gets too late to claim any of them.
This look features a few different prizes, let's start with the clothing...this romper is from Bodhi and comes in several mesh sizes: Small, Medium, Maitreya, Freya, Isis, Venus, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique. The terrific shoes are from Dilly Dolls and are called Glinna, they come with a HUD that adjusts the fit for Maitreya or Slink Mid, and offers 4 color options along with the choice of having the strap black or the same color as the stripes. On the right above, I changed the purple in the middle to Black Strap but left it matching the other colors. If you are admiring my hair, the good news is that it is also a Hocus Pocus prize, this one from Love and called [Blush]. It is a very generous gift too, including a full fat pack of color HUDs (blondes, brunettes, candies, gingers, greyscale, mystics, oddities, ombres, pastels) plus an exclusive Hallow HUD.
This is the same romper and same hair (this color choice is from the Hallow HUD) but here I have added a new buddy whose acquaintance I am very pleased to make! This is the prize from PSYCHO:Byts called Familiar Cat - Poison. He does have a vial around his neck that seems to be glowing ominously, and he is animated so he was a bit wiggly while I was posing for our photo. He looks like a moss-tinted Siamese or Snowshoe, one of those colorpoint breeds that are so elegant looking.
Another hair color change, and another outfit...this lingerie is our prize from Goth1c0 called Vampy Lingerie. It is included in system layers along with HUDs for Lolas, Omega, Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink. So detailed with those delicate closures in the front and the lacing in the back! I imagine it would take considerable magic to get them all closed, or to open them carefully in a hurry. I accessorized with our gift from Indulge Temptation, their !IT! Deadly Necklace which comes with a handy HUD offering 10 metal choices and 16 colors for each the bow and the gem (coffin) so there are countless possibilities of combinations to suit any mood or outfit.
I have so many gorgeous nails to show you, starting with this amazing gift from Hello Dave. Their prize is this Hocus Pocus HUD for Slink and Omega, with 35 varieties (5 versions each of 7 styles/colors) so I'm showing a very random sampling here. I think I'm partial to the marbled purple and the stormy night looking deeper purple, but it all depends on what you're wearing and what colors you favor.
Another wonderful gift is this Stitched Slink HUD from Bella Elephante, which offers 10 designs with that Nightmare before Christmas vibe. Look like Sally, or enjoy these year round as I intend to.
One final look of the night, this is the prize from DP Koffin Nails called Witch's Brew fatpack. I am still having crashing issues in SL and even crashed when I was trying to take the first photo here...the best thing for me to do is try to reduce my inventory some more and try to be patient, easier said than done. I am still here, just a bit frustrated and slower than usual. At least I was able to login today, unlike Saturday morning. September has brought us a new round of the Twisted Hunt, the hardest hunt in SL, and so far it is living up to that proud reputation for me ;) They do recommend reading their website for information and guidance, and I agree with that one. This round is the 16th one and the theme is Divination, and the cube's color for the round is steel blue. This has led to plenty of fascinating gifts, and several designers have mini/side hunts to confound but reward you even more. I also suggest joining their inworld group so you can get a bit of help if needed. Time to see a random selection of gifts I have found so far...
It is still rather warm out here in RL but I know that cooler weather will be upon us soon enough, and this lovely fireplace will be a perfect place to gravitate towards in SL for the virtual comfort. It is our prize from Michigans Shack who are #07 in the hunt path, and it's called Regal Fire place. It has a land impact of 10, and there is a menu when you click the logs to adjust the flame (smoulder, extinguish, glow, etc.) and the main menu can be found clicking anywhere else. This offers several categories of poses, including scenes, dances, singles, friends, and cuddles. I am in one of the singles animations in the photo.
Here is a closer look at the gorgeous gown from #09 Goth1c0, which also has a men's prize but I am enjoying the Divination Long Gown very much here. It is provided in plenty of mesh sizes: standard, Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, Maitreya, Slink Physique, Slink Hourglass and TMP. The deep colors combine beautifully, and the styling with the train adds drama.
So this next prize has a winning combination of good looks and a cheeky sense of humor :) The lovely necklace is the Fortune Time Necklace from our starting location, Secrets of Gaia, and it comes in a scripted and a non-scripted version so you can decide which suits your needs of the moment. The fun part in the scripting is that it emotes one of 10 fortunes when you click it, and the ones I saw were clever observations that made me chuckle. I love the engraved look of the cookie, and I also have to mention that this photo gives you an even closer look at the amazing texturing of that dress from the previous photos.
Avatar Bizarre is our second stop on the hunt trail, and they are offering prizes for the men and the ladies (a very common occurrence in this hunt) so I am pleased to share the ladies' gift, the AB Cartomancer Gown. The name refers to someone who reads cards, either tarot or standard playing cards, which fits the Divination theme wonderfully. I love the dramatic red and black, and the unusual styling of this gown is intriguing for sure. Xan mentioned when he saw it that it reminded him of a Renaissance Harley Quinn, or did he say Medieval? Xan, love, I apologize if I'm slightly misquoting you but clearly I agree with the sentiment you expressed ;) This gown is provided in a single fitted size that worked out splendidly for me, so I hope you enjoy it as well.
I have one last look for the evening and it is a doozy! The prize found at #10 Fallen Gods Inc is a set of tattoos that cover a great area and feature some really interesting artwork. Called AUSPEX, these come in system layers plus appliers for Omega, Slink, and TMP. Even better for variety, they have been included in several colors...the blood henna I am wearing, black, blue old ink, green old ink, and white whose system layer indicates that it is tintable. These are designed to be unisex so that is good news for everyone. I still haven't quite mastered the layers/alpha thing with the Slink body and tattoos, so I realized that the back portion wasn't appearing when I wore the bikini top from my Alessandra marketplace gift (previously blogged many times, details in credits) so I removed the top to show you a closer look at that backpiece. Even our hands got a little love from this tattoo artist if you look at my left hand on the far right of the image.
My busy holiday weekend has wound down, my houseguest has begun the journey back home, and I am pondering what my week will hold. I know I'll have treatment on my foot twice to get that random inflammation to settle down, and I am relieved that someone believes something can actually be done to help it :) I'm too young at heart to feel this old, LOL! Hiya everyone! I have been working on another free gridwide hunt, the Women Only Hunt, which runs until the 18th of the month. This one is a bit different, as to get around you must get the HUD from the starting location and click each number to open the map. There are several dozen stores who have hidden a prize for us in their $0L coconut half, and the HUD gives you the hint for each store when you click the number. Here are just a handful of the many wonderful gifts to be found...
First we have a fantastic dress from Perch, their WOH Beach Dress Gift. It is provided in 5 standard sizes and 5 fitmesh sizes, so an excellent range for many bodies. I love the nautical print and the gentle drape, very flattering of our curves. You probably couldn't help but notice my sunglasses, well those are a hunt prize too, from Insanya called Cali Sunglasses. There are 2 pairs included, with and without a rotate script, and a HUD with 10 colors for the frames, 6 colors for the lenses, 4 opacity choices, a resize script and more. Just click the sunglasses themselves to rotate them up to the top of your head as shown on the right above.

This gauzy looking maxi dress is our prize from American Bazaar called the Mandinga dress. Those colors are amazing, and the style is dreamy for summer. It puts me in mind of a secluded tropical beach, somewhere warm and peaceful. You get this beauty in standard mesh sizes.
One last look for the night, this is the Satin Camisole Purple prize from Goth1c0. It is provided in an impressive 13 mesh sizes: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. I look to be daydreaming about where to head in this sizzling dress, since SL is full of possibilities.
I am so tired of adulting lately, LOL, today was an eye doctor visit with drops in my eyes that dilated my pupils, then I had to go outside in the brightest sunlight imaginable. I don't think my eyes have forgiven me yet ;) I'm ridiculously nearsighted so they have to be extra thorough, and my new glasses (which I almost never wear, I'm used to contacts) had a surcharge for the high prescription that the employee had never encountered before.
