Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features some prizes from the Men Only Hunt 8, which surprisingly does include a few gifts for the ladies as well as the gents in the hidden beer glasses. Some things are inherently unisex, others actually were labeled male and female in the folders, and still others you can simply use your imagination if you wish to go for a more androgynous look. I'm a firm believer in living your Second Life your way. You will need the HUD from the hunt office to navigate this hunt, just stop by there first and pick it up for free. This hunt ends and all the beers go flat on the 22nd, so quickly grab your favorite guy/s and enjoy some hunting!
My first look is a team effort, two prizes from stores that share a building and landing point. They of course look terrific together, yet can be paired with whatever you prefer if you want to shake things up. The sweatshirt is from Titzuki and is their off-shoulder sweater which says "Winter is Coming", reminiscent of Game of Thrones (the house Stark motto) as well as simply being a fact. I find it fun and sexy to wear mens' shirts, but this is one of the prizes that actually has sizes for the women too; the included sizes are female XS-S boobs, female XS-S flat, male XS-S, and male S-M. My pants are from their storemates (my own made-up term for a roommate only with stores?) Boys To The Bone, and these weekend pants have several sizes as well, including male and female. One teleport leads to two great prizes!
I kept the BTTB pants on and changed into the prize from American Bazaar, which is their Native Sweater with Scarf in some striking shades of black and grey. This comes in standard mesh sizes along with a Slink fit, and the scarf is attached which makes it easy to wear.
Another item that can often be unisex is tattoos, so the prize from Endless Pain Tattoos was easy to feature tonight. This is called Dont Cry, and the script on the upper chest says Smile Now on one side, Cry Later on the other. There are plenty of details here, and it decorates arms, torso, legs, and even the hands with plenty of black ink work. The prize includes system layers along with appliers for TMP, Omega, Slink Physique, and Slink Hands.
More awesome ink, this time from TAOX TaTToo, this is called Eternal Tibetan and has some really intriguing details. I confess to not having any idea what the meaning of most of these beautiful symbols may be, other than the Om at the throat, but I admire the skill of the artwork very much. This gift has male and female versions and is appliers only, including Adam, Brazilia Doll, KL, Maitreya, Omega Mens, Omega Womens, Slink Mens, Slink Womens, TMP Mens, and TMP Womens.
One more treat I could not resist sharing, I have put back on those pants from earlier and topped them with the prize from Breath, their Arm Warmer+Shirt which covers the hands to keep them nice and toasty. This comes in 4 mesh sizes (XS, S, M, L) and while it has a male build, I can think of many times in RL where my hands were hidden in the sleeves of borrowed sweatshirt so I really do like this.
It has been a busy day here, I have started seeing a new doctor which means lots of visits and homework (exercises at home) almost like a simplified physical therapy, anything to chase away the neck pain and shockingly bad headaches of the past couple weeks. It probably will not affect my blogging much, and I so enjoy my time in SL where I can focus on that world instead of any aches and pains in this one. Hiya everyone! September has brought us a new round of the Twisted Hunt, the hardest hunt in SL, and so far it is living up to that proud reputation for me ;) They do recommend reading their website for information and guidance, and I agree with that one. This round is the 16th one and the theme is Divination, and the cube's color for the round is steel blue. This has led to plenty of fascinating gifts, and several designers have mini/side hunts to confound but reward you even more. I also suggest joining their inworld group so you can get a bit of help if needed. Time to see a random selection of gifts I have found so far...
It is still rather warm out here in RL but I know that cooler weather will be upon us soon enough, and this lovely fireplace will be a perfect place to gravitate towards in SL for the virtual comfort. It is our prize from Michigans Shack who are #07 in the hunt path, and it's called Regal Fire place. It has a land impact of 10, and there is a menu when you click the logs to adjust the flame (smoulder, extinguish, glow, etc.) and the main menu can be found clicking anywhere else. This offers several categories of poses, including scenes, dances, singles, friends, and cuddles. I am in one of the singles animations in the photo.
Here is a closer look at the gorgeous gown from #09 Goth1c0, which also has a men's prize but I am enjoying the Divination Long Gown very much here. It is provided in plenty of mesh sizes: standard, Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, Maitreya, Slink Physique, Slink Hourglass and TMP. The deep colors combine beautifully, and the styling with the train adds drama.
So this next prize has a winning combination of good looks and a cheeky sense of humor :) The lovely necklace is the Fortune Time Necklace from our starting location, Secrets of Gaia, and it comes in a scripted and a non-scripted version so you can decide which suits your needs of the moment. The fun part in the scripting is that it emotes one of 10 fortunes when you click it, and the ones I saw were clever observations that made me chuckle. I love the engraved look of the cookie, and I also have to mention that this photo gives you an even closer look at the amazing texturing of that dress from the previous photos.
Avatar Bizarre is our second stop on the hunt trail, and they are offering prizes for the men and the ladies (a very common occurrence in this hunt) so I am pleased to share the ladies' gift, the AB Cartomancer Gown. The name refers to someone who reads cards, either tarot or standard playing cards, which fits the Divination theme wonderfully. I love the dramatic red and black, and the unusual styling of this gown is intriguing for sure. Xan mentioned when he saw it that it reminded him of a Renaissance Harley Quinn, or did he say Medieval? Xan, love, I apologize if I'm slightly misquoting you but clearly I agree with the sentiment you expressed ;) This gown is provided in a single fitted size that worked out splendidly for me, so I hope you enjoy it as well.
I have one last look for the evening and it is a doozy! The prize found at #10 Fallen Gods Inc is a set of tattoos that cover a great area and feature some really interesting artwork. Called AUSPEX, these come in system layers plus appliers for Omega, Slink, and TMP. Even better for variety, they have been included in several colors...the blood henna I am wearing, black, blue old ink, green old ink, and white whose system layer indicates that it is tintable. These are designed to be unisex so that is good news for everyone. I still haven't quite mastered the layers/alpha thing with the Slink body and tattoos, so I realized that the back portion wasn't appearing when I wore the bikini top from my Alessandra marketplace gift (previously blogged many times, details in credits) so I removed the top to show you a closer look at that backpiece. Even our hands got a little love from this tattoo artist if you look at my left hand on the far right of the image.
My busy holiday weekend has wound down, my houseguest has begun the journey back home, and I am pondering what my week will hold. I know I'll have treatment on my foot twice to get that random inflammation to settle down, and I am relieved that someone believes something can actually be done to help it :) I'm too young at heart to feel this old, LOL! Hiya everyone! Tonight's title comes from the two stores whose group gifts I am sharing, Desire Boutique and RECKLESS. Both groups are free to join, and each store has multiple gifts available for their group members. I felt like featuring some tattoos since I hadn't really done so since I have had a mesh body, and I know there are lots of appliers out there that can accommodate so many mesh wearers. Clothing is a part of daily SL life for most of us, so that was an obvious part of tonight's post as well :)
The first lovely gift from Desire Boutique is called Micca Dress and is provided in plenty of mesh sizes: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique. There is also a HUD included with 8 color choices, three of which I have shown above. I love the flirty style, and I think the solid colors would work well with some bold jewelry if you were in the mood.
Next we have a sweet summery maxi dress named Bianca, another Desire Boutique group gift. This has what I call the lucky 13 of sizes included (5 standard, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink) along with a HUD for 3 texture options for the dress itself. I couldn't seem to get the HUD to work for me however, could have been an SL glitchy buggy thing but the previous dress HUD worked just a few minutes prior. *shrug* Even if this is the only texture available, I still really enjoyed it! :) The pattern is very exotic and teal color is a particularly nice choice for redheads.
Another group gift from Desire Boutique is this casual cutie, their Bruninha Outfit. It includes system layers along with Omega, Banned Dea, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink Physique HUDs, and even the shoes you see here. Speaking of shoes, after you join the group and pick up your gifts, head across the room a bit and check out the 4 lucky boards for group members which have shoes you can win :)
I slipped into my Alessandra bikini from the Marketplace (a free gift I have worn before on the blog) to better show a couple of RECKLESS tattoo group gifts. This is called Boguski and from the vendor image it looked to be intended for the gents, however I was intrigued and didn't let that stop me. The upper chest text reads Young Minds, and the center is Only Dead Fish Go With the Flow. I admit I never heard that before but it gave me a chuckle. I actually could not quite make out the word above Culture for sure, but I think it might be Cash. It almost looked like Cafe which didn't make much sense. The tattoo is included in faded and fresh versions (fresh shown here) in system layers plus HUDs for TMP, Belleza, and Maitreya.
So this photo helped me realize just what a noob I am when it comes to mesh bodies >.< But I really like the tattoo so I am sharing anyway. The bikini bottom clothing layer did not want to play nicely with the tattoo layer, no matter how much I tried experimenting, so instead you get a little leaf (and you get to laugh at me). The beautifully intricate ink is called Joon II and includes system layers plus appliers for TMP, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. These also feature faded and fresh versions. I have a coloring book with mandalas that this design reminded me of, so pretty!
Whew, what a day...my foot is all taped up, the doctor has no idea what happened but I seem to have irritated the tissue (muscle?) near one of the many joints in the foot. She put a pad under it and bound it with athletic tape and that white silk tape stuff that starting peeling off within a half hour. I will see her again in a week and must stay off my feet until then, which means no farmers market again tomorrow. The broken toe incident at Christmas was at least a clear cause, my clumsiness, but this is baffling because we don't know what is wrong or how it happened. I am also curious about showering with the tape on, there's no way the white layer will survive that. I'll find out in the morning :) Maybe I'll just wrap it up in plastic wrap. Hiya everyone! Tonight I have one last post from the Body Art II Hunt, a free gridwide hunt running until the end of the month. I have definitely found some unique gifts along the way, and enjoyed visiting stores that were new to me as well as familiar ones. Here are a few more glimpses for you....
This first look is truly stunning! Our prize from Zibska is called Frankie Sangue, and includes the tattoo layer shown with appliers for Omega, Belleza, and Maitreya (I used the Omega on my Slink hands here) plus the attachments called Orbit 1, 2, and 3. The dots of the orbits float stationery above, and the back view is nearly identical to the front. This could make for some fascinating artistic portraits!
Perhaps you are looking for some new facial piercings, well head on over to Nomiki's Creations and find the hidden package to claim this delicate set. Their gift for us is a Face Piercing Pack in Black and Silver Metals, the bull nose ring, eye brow ring, and labret stud each in both metals. The tough part will be choosing which color to wear first.
This is making me cringe because I have always been on the accident-prone side, so I probably looked like this a few times in my childhood. As an adult it's more like a dozen random bruises with no memory of why! This is our prize from Nightmare and it's called Clumsy Wounds, provided in system layer and Omega appliers. These would probably suit roleplaying as a zombie quite well, or any sort of post-apocalyptic sim.
Speaking of roleplaying, here is another prize that I think would work exceptionally well for certain types...this is Vera Unmasking by Appliers 'R' Us. I am showing the system layers but appliers for Slink and Omega are also included, plus the zipper tab attachment shown. Version 1 is on the left, 2 on the right, both giving me the impression of a rainbow cyborg :) I love the eyeliner too, a prismatic stripe of beauty.

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have a few more Body Art II Hunt prizes to show you, so you can see some of the wonderful goodies available in this free gridwide hunt. Tonight is a nice variety of jewelry, tattoos, even some lipstick, and I hope you enjoy.
First up tonight, we have the prize from [bubble] which is their Nail It Piercings set. You will receive the earrings and nose ring made from carefully curved nails, and a HUD for 4 different metal colors. Just find that brown package and they are all yours for free.
If you want a cool burst of color on your lips, head to Death Lily where you will find their Matte Lipsticks in Icee. On the left you can see the blue raspberry, on the right is wild cherry, and matte lipsticks can be a bit uncomfortable in RL so it is great to have the opportunity to enjoy these in SL without that dry parched lip feeling ;) These are system layers only, by the way.
I had to ponder how much time and discomfort this would be in RL to have this huge potpourri of tattoos emblazoned on ourselves, well thank goodness we can simply stop by Endless Pain Tattoos and pick up the prize for free! This is their Hipster tattoo, a full body system layer along with HUDs for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, Slink Physique, Slink Hands, and TMP. I couldn't resist showing a closer look at the hand because I can see wearing just that if the mood strikes, or for example if you are wearing long sleeves and pants but still want to display a touch of ink. My bikini, most visible in this photo, is a marketplace freebie from Alessandra that I have blogged before, comes in very handy.
One last look of the night is at my dainty ears and their new piercing, courtesy of -SECRETS-. This is their lovely Arrow Industrial Piercing, and I had to adjust it to make the whole thing visible through my hair, so that's why it is hovering in front of my ear instead. Yes I know, that's not how piercings work (they should pierce the skin...yep...) but visibility took priority tonight ;) There is a terrific HUD included with 12 color options, and you can click the piercing itself for a resize menu if you need it. This is the left ear only and is unisex.

It's time once again for some prizes from the Men Only Hunt 7, and yes I am still being a rebel by wearing things found for free in beers that are meant to be for just men, shhhh ;) My intent is not to be disrespectful at all, and I do recognize that guys are shockingly underrepresented in SL hunts, freebies, and stores in general. My goal is to have fun with the prizes Xan and I found in the hidden beers, and show them to you in a variety of ways without donning a male shape and skin myself. Wear them yourself, help your favorite men in SL find them, just be sure to do it in the next couple of days since the hunt wraps up at the end of the month. Tonight I am mostly showing accessories, and having LOTS of fun!
My first look is a playful pose from #14 COME SOON POSES, simply called Your Prize and consisting of the pose (animation and pose ball form) and the prop hat. I capped things off (bad pun intended) with the prize from PBM Enterprises (#18 in the hunt path) called PBM Mens Cabby Hat Woolknit. I am showing the neat, there is also a flipped version that is worn backwards. Both terrific finds :)
This fantastic shirt from Ducknipple (#31) is not playing nicely with my boobs so please excuse that, LOL, but I love the color and the style and think it'll look great on Xan. It is provided in 5 standard mesh sizes and 5 fitted, so it is nice and versatile. I must have fought too hard with the alpha and my boobs because I wound up with a cut by my eye...never fear, that's our prize #11 from BaaaH!. Their [Hipster Style] Eye Scar comes in 4 tones to work well with various skin shades (I am wearing T2) and includes system layers plus a TMP applier.
For my last look of the night, I am enjoying several different accessory prizes...my sunglasses are from #46 TABOU, their Aviator Glasses in Gold. They have a resize script built in, so I got a wonderful fit. The stunning rings are prize #28 "The King" from !NFINITY, left and right versions with a HUD to choose from 3 metal colors and 6 gem colors. Last but certainly not least, those striking bracelets are our prize from Delirium Style, #41 in the hunt. Their beaded bracelets come with a HUD that lets you change the colors of the inner wider bands or the beaded ones, 8 texture choices for each in a variety of colors and combinations.
