A Fruitful Decision

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I stopped by the DECISION store, where I was delighted to find a free group with several gifts each for men and women. Some are matching sets so you can coordinate your looks, and others are individual outfits or dresses that are lovely on their own. I am always pleased to see male avatars being offered generous gifts, since I realize that the vast majority of designers in SL cater to the ladies. My partner Xan rarely changes his SL look because of it, and I'd imagine he isn't the only one who could use a little wardrobe boost. Several of these gifts include HUDs for extra variety, which you know always makes me a very happy magpie.

My first look tonight is the MICHELE SET - GIFT <DECISION> which consists of the strapless mini dress and cropped shirt with keyhole opening in the front. Each are provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, and I'm sure you can guess that there are HUDs...the dress HUD has 15 colors to choose from, and the shirt HUD has the same 15 each for shirt and shirt detail meaning the trim and collar. I love that we can wear this in the cooler weather with the shirt layered atop it, or leave the shirt off and go strapless for the hotter months. 

Next I changed into the "Olivia" portion of our OLIVER AND OLIVIA SET - GIFT <DECISION>. The shirt and shorts will each fit Freya, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, with a HUD for each that offers 15 fun prints to mix or match. Personally I was feeling matchy, but as always I strongly encourage everyone to wear things the way that they prefer most :) I appreciate the solid colored trim that is preselected for each pattern, all the ones I tried out looked fantastic. 

I have a fondness for cow print (and cows in general) so the GIFT - Eduard and Patricia - COW <DECISION> caught my eye immediately, hanging there on the group gift wall just waiting for me. There are 16 colors too choose from, thanks to the included HUD, with print on the front of the dress and matching solid rear view. The dress with peekaboo midriff opening comes in sizing for Freya, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. The Eduard outfit coordinates well, and there was another gift (not shown here tonight) with a different texturing of the Patricia dress.

Another generous gift that I was eager to share is their DANIELE SET - GIFT <DECISION> with plenty of options. There are two versions of the bodysuit, with and without alpha to hide the bottom portion, and each of those plus the shorts are all provided in Freya, Isis, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes. The bodysuit's HUD has 10 texture choices for the main and 18 for the details (trim), and the shorts have a 12 color HUD so we can change that up too. I'm guessing the alpha hiding the lower portion of the bodysuit is to make it work with the shorts better, but I'm wearing the full one here beneath the shorts with no troubles, so it will probably depend on your body brand and shape which you need. There is definitely a warm weather feeling to some of the prints, which leads nicely into our next gift...

My final look this evening is the SUMMER COUPLE - GIFT <DECISION> swimsuit, and yes it is the same style as our Daniele gift's bodysuit :) There is no need for the alpha version here though, just the full one-piece suit in the same sizes (Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya) in versions called Beach (seen on the left above), Blue Flamingo, Flamingo (right), and Summer. Hmm now I am not certain if that is Beach or Summer on the left above...my memory is a bit cloudy apparently. I unpacked them all and tried them all on, and had a great time doing so, no regrets! The men receive boxer shorts in those same prints as their part of this gift, so you can match or just pick something similarly summery for your next beach or pool visit in SL. 

I had a pretty nice weekend, especially the farmers market visit Saturday morning with some of my favorite people and a favorite furry friend :) The hockey game I watched tonight didn't turn out the way I wanted, but we have another chance tomorrow evening to play better. *fingers crossed* I hope you're all having a beautiful day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

More Designer Showcase Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is a part two of the Designer Showcase anniversary celebration, with more generous gifts for their free VIP group. Most of the displays have a gift waiting for us, and there are exclusive offers for sale from every designer. This round is open until the 25th of the month, and I will be back to do more shopping either during the weekend or shortly after :) As always I picked up demos while claiming all these thoughtful gifts, and now the hard part is making the final decisions. 

My first look this evening is the cozy Cattia Blouse gift from [WellMade]. It is really more than just a blouse, as it has a black blazer layered over a plum colored top. The gift includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. I paired it with the white pair from the Delizio jeans fatpack we can find for free on the marketplace, several colors in system/BOM layers plus appliers for Maitreya and Omega.

Next I changed into the Naiya Sweater&Scarf which is one of two gifts from KiB Designs. The sweater's brick red color is one of the many hues in the colorful scarf, and both pieces are provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. You can wear the sweater with or without the scarf, and they will pair well with any pants or leggings you wish.

This look is the lovely KiB Designs gift 2// Yasmin Outfit, a three piece ensemble that I am loving for the weekend :) The jacket, sweater, and skirt each come in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. The jacket could be worn without the sweater or skirt, but the sweater does not have upper arms and the sleeves are detached beneath the jacket. Black and purple are a fantastic combination, aren't they?

YoU By GeMyles is offering their Cinnamon Single Dress as our Designer Showcase group gift, and I am quite a fan! This mini dress has a pert ruffle at the hem and slender straps, with gorgeous artwork on the front. There are Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minim mesh body sizes included. I'm sure you also noticed my necklace, which is the YoUnique Couture Bonnie Ribbons & Rivet Collar gift. It has a resizer script built in, so just give it a click (or right click - touch in inventory which is often easier) to access that. It goes well with this dress, but of course will look great with anything you decide to accessorize with it. 

For my final look of the night, I slipped into the Juliet DS gift from Ghee. This intriguing bodysuit is solid deep midnight blue, with a multicolored butterfly (moth?) on the front. Its long sleeves cover the back of our palms and hook around the thumb, a very handy detail that I love in RL too. This gift fits Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. I could easily envision wearing this under a skirt or pair of pants with a slightly loose fitting waistband, preferably a low waisted option so as not to hide the colorful image on the front. 

Are you ready for the weekend? I'm delighted to be going to my usual Saturday morning haunt, the farmers market that was unexpectedly closed last week. One of the vendors is serving BBQ pulled pork, brisket, and chicken, as well as her vegan chili that is a big hit with carnivores too. I'll be having the pulled chicken, and getting lots of other tasty goodies while I'm there. I also had a bit of good fortune earlier, as I won a $10 gift code for an indie nail polish sale called Polish Pickup. Of course I spent a little more than that, LOL, but I like supporting small businesses and trying to make my RL nails look halfway decent. Designer Showcase Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are helping Designer Showcase celebrate their 12th anniversary, which is such an impressive achievement here in SL! The celebration means that most of the designers are offering free gifts for the Designer Showcase VIP group, which is also free to join so these won't cost you a thing. I still strongly suggest checking out the exclusive offers at each display, as I was very impressed with what I saw and do have a few purchases in mind :) This round just opened and lasts until the 25th, so plenty of time to grab those demos and return for some shopping.

My first look is the charming casual LARRYA Set BY BL, the gift from Blackbirdlace. The tied tank top and loose fit jeans each come in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite sizes, with matching heels to fit Belleza, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink feet. The blue heart outline pattern on the tank top matches the jeans and shoes quite well, and the shadowing on the jeans makes them look so touchable.

Another fun outfit with jeans can be found at the Evergreen display, simply called DS GIFT '23. The purple sequin tank top and grey jeans are each provided in sizing for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. I like the high waisted jeans with the slightly cropped top, showing just a slender bit of midriff without looking too summery, so we can wear this whenever the mood strikes all year round.

Next we take a look at the charming [hh] Darlene Coat gift from the always generous Hilly Haalan display. There are versions with and without the fur collar, each in Freya, Isis, Venus, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. The included HUD offers 30 colors apiece for the coat, sleeves, belt, coat liner, inner collar, and outer collar with the last 2 being for that fur trim. I am a big fan of coat style dresses, and this one has a very sleek, flattering fit. 

The gift from Sascha's Designs is this stunning SAS - Mireile Apricot Tux Dress, and I am absolutely a fan! The sparkly texture is delightful, and the black lapels and pocket flaps provide the perfect contrast. We receive sizes for Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies in this thoughtful gift.

For my final look of the night, I chose the zOOm - Annie Gift Dress to share :) Their terrific styles have appeared here on my blog many times, so it is no surprise that I am a longtime fan of theirs. This dress is provided in eBody Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and has the look of two pieces since the top has that eye-catching golden texture. I think those are runes on fine lines, as I have seen similar tattoo artwork.

Fabulous and Free

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood for some variety, so I headed to the FabFree group gift list and picked out some treats I hadn't shared here yet. My inclination is to go for the slightly older ones, so you find out about them before it's too late and the designer decides to swap them out for something new. As you probably know, FabFree in SL blog is an amazing resource for bargains, events, and sales, and its inworld group is always free to join to keep up to date and be able to claim all of these fantastic gifts :) It is one of those groups I will always stay in, because I love it and simply wouldn't want to miss a thing. Group chat can be very helpful too, with SLurls to midnight manias that need slapping and other info that we need immediately. I am trying something new tonight, putting the names of the store and the featured item in bold, in the captions beneath each photo. Please let me know if you find it helpful?

My first look comes from [Piixcys Store] and is their charming Ambar Jacket, a cropped denim cutie that brings me back to my teen years in the 80s :) There are eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes included, with a 9 texture HUD with various colors and styles like the distressed pink on the left or the one on the right with lots of playful iron-ons. With the top open like that, you could try layering a bra or tank top beneath if you wish, and the possibilities for bottoms are endless :) I chose the white pair from the Delizio marketplace freebie fatpack that appears here quite often. They offer several colors in system/BOM layers and appliers for Maitreya and Omega. 

Next I visited (BYRNE) and claimed their Kitty Dress 4 colours gift. It fits Legacy and Maitreya bodies in each of its 4 hues: Blue, Pink (right above), Purple, and Teal (left). The coordinating sheer bodice layer is built into each version, and all are in a bold animal print. I tend to dress very blandly in RL, neutral solid colors and the like, so it is especially fun for me to dress more adventurously in SL.

Casual can certainly be sexy, as demonstrated by the K-Style OUTFIT VERONICA WITH HUD TEXTURE. It is designed to fit the Maitreya body, and includes the top, pants, and shoes along with the HUD mentioned in the name. There are 5 colors each for the top and pants, with the shoes being tinted by the buttons for the top. Those low slung capris really catch the eye, and I feel like this would be a good outfit to show off a belly or back tattoo. 

Another gift with plenty of sex appeal is the *KD* Chia oriental style dress - VIOLET from KaiDesign. The dress has a high neckline and daring slashed hem diagonally from the right hip down, so they were kind enough to include a BOM layer modesty pant in black that is basically a strapless patch (pasties but for down below). There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies provided. I love the color of course, and a floral pattern will always get my attention. 

My final look of the evening can be found at .::Be Bold::. and is simply named Gift #23. This revealing bodysuit has a pink strip across the chest, plunging neckline all the way past the navel, and two slender straps on each hip in a solid pink to match the chest strip and coordinate beautifully with the lovely floral pattern of the remainder. Our gift includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing. As with many bodysuits, I am tempted to wear it as a swimsuit if the occasion arises too :)

Whew, this week is going slowly for me somehow...or maybe it was just today that crawled by like a turtle. There are not very many hunts or events this month particularly compared to December's holiday deluge, LOL, but I will certainly find as many new items to share as possible. Next month we will be up to our mesh eyeballs in hearts and love, which is not a complaint from me but I understand not everyone is a fan and will try to find non-Valentine items too. Posh Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are headed to the POSH Event, where you can find lots of exclusive offers and some free group gifts too. This event celebrates the diversity and elegance of posh divas, and you will especially be glad you visited if you have a Kupra or Reborn body as those seem to be the most popular sizes I saw. This round opened in the beginning of the month and lasts until the 23rd, so we have some time to pick up demos, try things on, and see what suits our personal styles. My first look of the night is the beautiful ~MM~ CHRISTMAS GOWN - GROUP GIFT, but don't panic when you see Christmas in the name! As you can see above, its colors can be a nod to the recent holiday, but the damask pattern is suitable for any time of year just like the elegant mermaid halter styling. To claim this gift you'll need to pay $1L but it will be immediately refunded as the gift is delivered, and you will receive sizes for Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. 

Allure Couture has multiple displays here at POSH, and I found a total of 3 generous gifts like this cute casual Marley Jeans Set Gold. It consists of the top, sleeves, and jeans each in eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite sizes. There are also matching boots to fit Belleza, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink feet. I appreciate the ability wear the top with or without the separate sleeves, versatility is always a plus!

Our other two gifts from Allure Couture are two color variations of their lovely Blair Dress Outfit, with Pink seen on the left above and Gold on the right. The pink is leaning more purple with my lighting but those are my two favorite colors (purple and pink) so either way I am tickled pink, or purple? ;) Both gifts include the dress, sleeves, panties, and heels & stocking combo in eBody Reborn, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizes. Which color will you wear first?

I have heard it said that every woman needs a little black dress, but here in SL it is my opinion that we all deserve to have multiple varieties of such :) With that in mind, I was delighted to find the Kandy Koated gift called !KK LBD which stands for, you guessed it, little black dress. This one has shimmery sequins and slender shoulder straps, and the short hemline accentuates the "little" part of the name for sure. There are Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy sizes provided in this wonderful gift.

Did you notice in the previous photo I added some not-so-little black nails? :) Those are another gift we can find at POSH, the DEVILS PLAYGROUND Bento Black Floral Nails XXLong. The nails are easy to wear, just use your body's HUD to hide its built in nails and add the corresponding size nails from this folder, which contains BBL, Belleza, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, Slink, and Tonic versions. There is a lovely subtle floral pattern on most of the nails, with solid black accent nails on the ring fingers for added visual interest. We talk about statement jewelry pieces like statement necklaces and rings, but I think these should be called statement nails! Elegant and eye-catching are the statements these make to me.

We are almost to Wednesday and the halfway point of the week, so that is a reason to celebrate :) It was chilly and rainy here, and I think tomorrow is supposed to be similar, but I don't have to go out so I am okay with that. As you can see, the lace has some sheerness to it, and I really like the coordination of the trim and the panties. 

This gift is a pair of sweet and sassy rompers that both caught my eye. They are the - pOOnsh - Jenny Bodysuit gift, with B&W (left, short for black and white) and XO (on the right, hugs and kisses) each provided in sizes for Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. There is also a metal HUD with 4 colors to choose from, so you can personalize the look of the zipper down the front and the studs on the shoulder straps. I feel like each pattern is a different mood, and appreciate having both to choose from :)

For my final look of the evening, I am wrapped in the - pOOnsh - GROUP GIFT Sierra Pierce Dress (bad). The style reminds me of a bandage dress but with intentional openings both front and back. The pierce part of the name is easy to miss at first glance of the photo, but there are barbell nipple piercings on the dress with a chain draped on each, and there is a HUD included with 4 metals to select from for the piercings. The dress itself will fit Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies.

#BIGGIRL Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we start the new year by visiting the #BIGGIRL event, organized by Flair For Events. If you join the Flair For Events group (not the #BIGGIRL one) you can claim a few dozen gifts found in green giftboxes with red ribbons. Yes, that does mean they are technically Christmas gifts, and I apologize for being slow to discover this round's gifts as it looks like it's closing on the 4th. So we have a few days to stop by and enjoy the bargains and generous gifts. Not all are seasonally themed, so we can enjoy much of our findings all year round. You will see lots of red here, but is that really just for Christmas? I think not and hope you agree :)

My first look is the lovely - pOOnsh - Rachel Dress (xmas) gift. Its dress and underwear (bra and panties linked) are each provided in Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes. There is also a HUD with 4 textures for the dress and 14 colors each for straps (trim on dress) and underwear, as well as transparency settings of 30%, 50%, or off which makes the dress fully opaque. I left it slightly sheer so you could see the underwear through it ;) There are two snowflake patterns and two others with birds, which makes me extremely happy.

Rebane is offering their Cory Dress. Red. as the free Flair For Events group gift, and it is adorable for any time of year. This strapless mini with flared skirt and rear bow beneath a small zipper will fit Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, eBody Reborn, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh bodies, and includes a zipper HUD with 4 metal options. The style and color combo makes me think of Valentine's Day, which will be upon us before we know it at this rate since time just keeps flying.

I really like 1 Hundred's general sexy vibe, and was delighted with their Baby Cakes Mini. Cherry gift! The dress and panty each come in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. The plaid pattern makes me think of flannel, yet the styling is more flirty than cozy ;) I definitely enjoy the white insert in the front, and the delicate loose bows there and on each shoulder.

Next I slipped into the shimmery ::Saussi:: Romper Fabi (Nude) gift, with lots of cutouts in a soft peachy tone. There are Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy sizes included, so this should fit a wide range of bodies and flatter all of them :) Such a unique style, it absolutely caught my eye.

For my final look of the evening, we take a look at both versions included in the Francesca Dress - Red gift from Beyond. The solid on the left above is a charming shade of red, while the pattern (right) is a yellow floral for a very different and equally beautiful look. Each is included in sizing for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. The plunging neckline might be just right to showcase your favorite necklace, and the short skirt shows off plenty of leg :)

~SLINK NEWS~ If you haven't heard yet, the creator of Slink mesh bodies/heads, Siddean Munro, has retired from SL and the store is gone from inworld and the marketplace. By the time I found out this morning it was already past tense, so there was very little warning. I'm very sad that the past couple of years were so rough for her, and her 15 years of amazing contributions to SL are greatly appreciated. I am guessing that many designers will remove the bodies (mostly Hourglass, although Physique still shows up now and then) from their usual sizes since the bodies can no longer be purchased or redelivered and no support will be provided any longer for Slink products. I will of course continue to list all sizes offered for anything I blog, including the Slink pair and her newer Cinnamon Chai body if applicable, since we can still wear the bodies and clothe them how we wish. It is incredible to think about my journey with Slink fingernails, then hands and feet, then bodies as my introductions to mesh body parts...fond memories for sure. I wish her the best in all of her future endeavors.

Here we are, in a brand new year, and I cannot decide how to feel yet...somewhat positive, a touch anxious, and a smidge overwhelmed so far I guess. I had an intense dream that had me shaky when I woke up from it, so that got the day off to a strange start. Generally it was a good weekend though, and I am glad I went to the other farmers market for a change of pace with my usual one closed for the week.
