MGSN Gift Train

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I finally found time to explore the MGSN Xmas Gift Train, which is a celebration from the MGSN (Maitreya Gifts Sales & News) group which is free to join. The participating designers are all offering a special gift for the holidays, mostly themed and all should be compatible with the Maitreya mesh body. Now if you don't have a Maitreya body but wear a different brand, don't despair...many of the gifts fit multiple bodies :) As a matter of fact, only one of the 5 I'm sharing tonight are exclusive to Maitreya Lara. I've been a member of this group for such a long time now, and have always found the designers to be both talented and generous. 

First I stopped by Angel's Jewelry to claim their AJ_dress Left It Snow winter gift. The seasonal sweater dress and thong panties are each provided in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. The back of the skirt is lifted as you can see, for a very cheeky view of the thong :) If you prefer a more modest look, I would suggest omitting the panties and wearing a pair of leggings or jeans instead, it would still be a fun Christmas look. 

When I saw the picture of the 1 Hundred gift on the website, I thought it was a beautiful tube dress in a pink knit. Then I got to the store and realized that it is actually 8 different colors of their flirty Warmth Mini dress! Look for the MGSN gift train sign and there are 8 separate colors to click and claim, like the Violet and Blue shown above. Each hue comes in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. The wintry knit pattern looks wonderful in any color, and we basically get an entire fatpack for free!

Next we have the intriguing (*<*) 1313 Black Magic Woman - Winter Fantasy from 1313 Mockingbird Lane. The bodysuit, long skirt, and sleeves are each separate pieces that fit the Maitreya body specifically. I love the sheer skirt being decorated with snowflakes, and the versatility of being able to wear this outfit in multiple ways like without the sleeves or without the skirt.

This adorable look is the .::BE BOLD::. Xmas Inspiration outfit. The cropped sweater and mini shorts each fit Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink sizing for the platform ankle boots. The gift even includes the ear muffs with bow, a fun addition to this playful outfit. 

My final look tonight is a year-round show stopper of a dress from Blackstone called Juliet Dress - Red. There are Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes included, with a HUD to choose from 4 metals for our zipper in the rear. The lacy trim really accentuates the plunging neckline, and the color makes me think of Valentine's Day just as much as Christmas. I would also like to mention that this store has a free Advent calendar with no group tag needed, just find the correct numbered giftbox under their tree to match the current date.

It was a busy day, as most of the next week's will be, and I know I'm not alone in that one. The holidays take a lot of effort and planning, don't they? :) I keep checking on the weather for the weekend too, just in case something changes. Magical Winter at BUNDLES

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it is a pleasure to invite you to the BUNDLES Winter Season event, whose theme is Electrifying Magic. I love the creativity that Dove (yes, the same brilliant mind behind The Free Dove) puts into each round, and winter in SL can certainly be magical ♥. There are exclusive offers for sale from lots of top designers, and several thoughtfully put out gifts to help us celebrate the season. This round is open until the 5th of January, so even if your holidays are busy, you should still be able to find time to visit this fantastic event.

My first look of the evening is the gorgeous exclusive offer from Moonstar, called Jayna Purple Dress, Crown of Roses and Shoes. The dress has a separate layer of diamonds for the bodice and a layer of shine for the diamonds (it really sparkles!), with each in sizing for Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn bodies. Then we have very well coordinated shoes to fit Belleza, eBody, Kupra, and Maitreya feet, as well as a C-string (strapless panty) with resize script, and the stunning rose crown that can also be resized and adjusted. I feel like a fairy princess in this outfit, and we can wear as many or as few of the additions as we wish to create the perfect look for our mood or destination. It is hard to believe that all this is just $250L :)

Don't leave that Moonstar display just yet, as I have two more outfits for sale that I am eager to share. The beauty on the left is their Arora Winter Coat Outfit, a dressy coat in black and white that is trimmed with fur and has chain ankle boots hiding beneath the long full skirt. We next visit the BlondeQueen display, where there are several terrific separates to spruce up your seasonal wardrobe for just $150L each. They are the Tiffany Cardigan and matching Tiffany Skirt, with the Red/Pinstripe cardigan and Red skirt seen above. They go so well together, with the sweater tucked into the high waist of the skirt that reminds me of a tulip. Each are provided in Freya, Isis, eBody Reborn, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with the skirt including a standalone version along with the original for each size. This way you can wear the skirt with other styles of top if you wish, and with that rich leathery sheen and great style, why wouldn't you? ;) I also love the idea of our sweater keeping our arms warm but sliding down one shoulder just a bit, such a playful look. 

Emerald Couture has a free gift for us called EC Ivy Dress Pink Snowflakes, and I am tickled pink! *sorry, I couldn't resist the wordplay* The color is one of those non-traditional holiday shades (most people think red and green, with gold or silver thrown in) that genuinely looks beautiful on Christmas decorations and the like, and the different sized snowflakes look so charming against the bright backdrop. Our gift includes a standard M size for classic avatars, as well as sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. For really chilly SL weather, I would probably add some tights beneath, and either way I think boots of any height would look lovely with this pretty sweater dress.

My final look of the night is an amazing free gift, the Babi Dress Gown - RED from Delicatt Couture. This long shimmery dress comes in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizes. The plunging front dips to the navel for a flirty look, but the rear view is a show-stealer too! The straps in the back remind me of the center of a peace symbol, delicate strands that really accentuate the beauty of the curves of a woman's back. 

I'm having another slow and sluggish type of night, as I am on day two of a new medication and my body usually takes a few days to fully adjust. All is well, it's just my unusual body chemistry being tricky. Most of my brain is focused on the upcoming holiday celebration, and the cooking I'll be doing beforehand. I've also been trying to keep an eye on the weather, but am not expecting it to interfere so that is a relief. Holiday Season Fair Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to invite you to the Holiday Season Fair 2022, which is brought to us by Synergy Events. Join their Synergy Shoppers group and you will be able to claim a gift from nearly every display in various gift boxes. There are lots of offers to help you save money while preparing for the holidays, and we have until the 4th of January to visit and enjoy some shopping and gifts.

My first look this evening is the TRES - Ellera bronze gift, a flirty gown with eye-catching cutouts. There are Maitreya and Petite sizes each in original and sheer versions (left and right above, respectively), and the sheer upper portion is both front and back so your choice will depend on how much you are willing to reveal ;) That is a polite way of saying your nipples will be on display, LOL. There is a hint of booty cleavage too, which generally doesn't bother me since it is just a touch. 

I also picked up a terrific gift from COVETED! called Gingerbread Man Footie PJs. They feature my favorite treat of the season, with buttons down the front and a rear flap that makes me smile. The gift includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. The red background is a perfect choice for December and to show off the cute gingerbread people and their red buttons. 

If you need something formal, I highly suggest the SLC Christmas Sleek Gown blue gift :) I shared their rose colored version from another event recently, and I am still just as intrigued by the beautiful snowflakes and flattering mermaid style. There are Belleza Gen X Classic and Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Reborn Mounds mesh body sizes included, so it will fit many very popular bodies. 

Next I changed into the lovely *ASIA* LOLITA hot pink GIFT, a very well coordinated outfit that I only just realized is more revealing than I'd noticed. The top, skirt, and boots will each fit Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. Our top and boots are matching wide fishnet, with a layered skirt that reminds me of soft rose petals. 

My final look of the night is a three-piece set from Faida called Elissa - scarlet. The dress, upper armor, and lower armor are each provided in Maitreya and Petite sizes, and since they are separates we can wear all of them or just the one/s we wish. Armor generally makes me think of roleplay, but the brief shift dress might work for a different genre of roleplaying than I initially imagined. We could even wear the armor over a different base of clothing if we wish, very versatile!

It was a busy weekend and a bit confusing as some plans have changed, but still mostly moving forwards towards a holiday celebration on Saturday night unless the weather decides otherwise. Holiday Shop and Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to head to the Holiday Shop & Hop, the annual extravaganza which this year has 16 regions filled with 320 top designers offering a wide range of specials, discounts, and of course gifts :) Tis the season, after all! As usual I find the easiest way to handle such a large event is to keep things separated by region and share them one at a time, so tonight we are taking a look at several gifts found on the Golden region. They are all decorated beautifully too, with wintry scenes in the center and at each edge. 

My first look is the duo of sweaters from MONOMANIA called Alaska Dangerous. Both versions fit Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with a very cozy style and texture that makes me long for cocoa and gingerbread cookies :) I think your favorite jeans or leggings will look perfect with this gift, and probably sneakers if you're feeling casual.

Jazabelle is offering us a sexy gift called Christmas Showtime Dress, and before I added the 'modesty heart' to the front (in Photoshop) it was putting on quite a show indeed! That center panel is very transparent as you can see, and the solid satin covers the essentials up top but clearly not below. I think for public wear, I'd add a lace panty or some sort of playful pasties, it all just depends on your personal tastes. The dress is designed to fit the Maitreya mesh body.

Next I shimmied into the [ LsR ] - Sexy Santa Christmas Gift, feeling and looking festive. The dress and boots are each provided in Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizes, and the dress is more of a long corset with garters and a tiny frilled skirt to cover the rear. No wonder Santa looks so happy in the fabric print! I am a big fan of having long boots to balance out a short skirt, in general, even if the boots are below the knee instead of these appealing thigh highs. 

SENTINUS has two varieties of outfits included in their Ketty gift, a top/skirt and a top/bottom which is shorts cut high enough to almost be panties ;) Each outfit is linked to wear as one piece, in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. We also receive a 10 color HUD with lots of rich dramatic shades that look terrific on either outfit, with a hint of sheen that really caught my eye. The skirt pairing has a built in belt, very flattering, as is the top on both with deep V neckline. 

My final look tonight is the Blackstone gift from Shop & Hop, their Ugly Sweater - Fatpack. Truthfully there is nothing ugly about it though, from the wide boat neck that accentuates our lovely neck, to the 5 fun textures found on the included HUD. The sweater fits Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. I think calling Christmas sweaters 'ugly' has become either force of habit or an affectionate term? Well as you can see, I have paired it with one of my favorite jeans, the Delizio fatpack which is a marketplace freebie. This is the black pair but there are several colors included in system/BOM layers and appliers for Maitreya and Omega. 

Well, it was a decent Friday here with good and bad...we had a few power outages last night and today that seem to have messed up the wifi in my room here, as my android tablet won't stay connected to it but worked fine from a phone hotspot and at my parents' house. Obviously I have regular internet since I'm here posting ;) I just play a few random games on the tablet, nothing crucial, but it is annoying to wonder what went wrong. Dinner with my parents was nice, and we discussed next week/holiday plans but a possible blizzard could throw a wrench in things. Emerald Couture Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features several free gifts from the generous Emerald Couture for their free VIP group. There are lots of group gifts currently still available, and I chose the most recent to show you. We also have access to the midnight mania boards and lucky boards/chairs in the same area with that group tag active, so there are an amazing number of treats waiting for us! Also don't forget their Advent calendar (Emerald Man is across the shopping center with gifts for their free group, please share that info with the male avatars in your life!) and there's even a Christmas tree in front of the ladies' calendar with a lucky giftbox beneath. The chairs change every minute, so you can hang out for a relatively short time and win an impressive array of outfits like I did :) Many of the prizes can be found in different colors among the many possibilities, so you could win the same thing in a few hues to really spice up your wardrobe. Remember that the "?" wildcard means anyone can sit and win, so you get to look for that and your own initial for two chances to win.

My first look of the evening is the most recent group gift, called EC Colette Outfit Red. This fun mini dress has sculpted roses on the front of the frilly hem, and a playful Paris themed pattern. It fits Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The matching strappy heels come in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high sizing so they coordinate well with our dress sizes. The other gifts are from various times of the year, so I saw a Christmas one and a Saint Patrick's Day themed treat among many others whose timing is less obvious. All are terrific!

Over to our lucky chairs, one I was delighted to win is this EC Niu Outfit Cobalt with its vibrant colors and flirty style. The top and skirt are each included in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, with shoes designed for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. The keyhole opening and Mandarin style collar are so pretty, and I was intrigued to see the waist dip slightly both front and back on our skirt.

I also won the charming EC Abigail Dress Mint from a lucky chair, as well as the same Abigail in at least one other color :) I am very fond of soft shades of green like this one, and how could I resist that plunging sweetheart neckline with detached ruffled sleeves? There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies for the dress, as well as matching strappy heels in Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink high sizing. The tied belt is a great touch, and the hemline is short enough to provide quite a cheeky rear view. 

The stunning EC Daisy White Dress was also from a lucky chair, and I certainly do feel fortunate to be able to add this to my wardrobe for free. It is a beautiful wrap dress with straps that cross in the back and tiny ruffles decorating the front, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. The fabric pattern has several different types of daisies on it from what I can see, while the monochromatic color palette keeps it from being overly girlie if that is a concern for you :) I have my girlie moods for sure, among countless other style leanings depending on the day.

For my final look tonight, I changed into another lucky chair goodie called EC Raz Romper Pink Denim. There are standard mesh sizes included, as well as sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP bodies. The embossed panels down each side are matched by the top of the detached sleeves, and both sleeves and top ruffle have sheer sections between deeper pink edging for a delicate, romantic look. I have never worn a one piece shorts romper in RL that I can recall, but absolutely appreciate them in SL where all we have to do is add some cute shoes, a touch of jewelry or two, and we are looking sexy and well put together in a cinch :) Pink is not the only color I saw this in among the lucky chair possibilities, so if it isn't your jam, just hang around a bit and you might win another hue. 

It was a busy day with lots to process, as my family doctor is concerned about various persistent symptoms (nothing life-threatening) and suggested a few potential changes. So I have decisions to make, and a few specialists to see after the holidays. Somehow I brain-farted and forgot to get my blood tests before the visit, as the past few weeks have been chaotic. It is the best way to tell how my thyroid is behaving and if the meds are helping at all, so I'll get that done right after the holidays too. Looks like the last week of 2022 is going to be spent making appointments and getting blood drawn, LOL, not all that exciting but necessary. I am most likely going to dinner tomorrow at my parents', where I will get to hear about my godmother's viewing/funeral so at least somewhat somber of an evening. I'll do my best to lighten the mood when appropriate, even if I have to whip out a cute animal video to do so :) We are having a lot of wind with our rain here, so I've lost power twice so far today including once while I was, umm, indisposed, which was like a nightmare come to life for a brief moment. Group Gifts from eBENTO

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some gifts to share from the eBENTO event for their December round. All you need is their free group tag active, and then click all the gift boxes you can find at most of the vendor's displays. It is easy to get into a holiday mood when there are bargains to be had and free treats to claim, so I am very glad I visited :)

My first look this evening is the striking gown from ***LURE*** which is their dress TRINITY-SILVER. The dress and necklace chain each come in sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, and since they are separate pieces you can wear the gown with or without the necklace. They do resemble snowflakes and the bodice of the dress is trimmed with similar adornments, so personally I like the look worn together. But if you have a favorite necklace or collar that you prefer, you certainly have the option which I do appreciate.

Optimus Ride is offering a playful bodysuit as their gift for us, called OR SEXY GIRL RACING SUIT 12. The formfitting suit is racy indeed, and is provided in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body sizing. The white V between black and red sections is especially flattering as it draws the eyes directly to our curves.

I also picked up an adorably flirty gift from KEY STYLE, their SANTAS LADIES GIFT 2022. The bodysuit and cape are each included for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies, with a hat that is unrigged and adjustable as needed. We can wear these pieces all together as I did on the right, or just the one/s that suit our mood of the moment. The bows and corset style lacing down the front are such pretty details, and I feel like without the hat and cape, the bodysuit is not holiday-specific.

I hope you're not tired of red, LOL, as I next slipped into the beautiful Carol's Store-Franny Glitter Dress Red gift. This dress has a fantastic texture as you can see, and fits Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Momma, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy Boobs mesh bodies. The strapless style means you can get very creative with accessories, like nearly any length necklace will work wonderfully. 

One last look this evening, a little something to warm up a chilly night :) This is the ILL Christmas underwear gift from I Love Lida, with bra and panties each to fit the Maitreya body. That bold crimson color is just right for the season, yet it can come in very handy any time of year of course. Valentine's Day, a random summer afternoon...it's all good!

It was quite a day...my housemate went from thinking he was coming down with something (slightly sore throat, nothing else) to 102 degree fever and nearly passing out in a matter of 2 hours or less. The covid test came up negative, thank goodness, and he already had a family doctor visit scheduled for tomorrow as I also do. If he hadn't, I would have given him my appointment if she allowed it. We are thinking it is a standard flu, but the doctor may wish to do that brain-tickling covid test (hehehe) so I might wind up in a quarantine situation. Talk about bad timing, so close to the holidays and a few days before his trip to visit family in his home state. FaMESHed Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are unwrapping some presents from under the Christmas tree at the FaMESHed event. They are free for members of the event's group, which is also free to join, and there are several gifts among the boxes surrounding the tree. It is worth mentioning that some are just decorative and don't contain anything, so just keep clicking and it is mostly the inner ring closest to the trunk of the tree. This event has about 2 weeks to go, as it is open until the 27th of the month. 

My first look starts with the Have Unequal gift called [HU] Frost Dress_Mint HoHoHo!! which can be worn as a dress or a short top with a single click of their HUD. There are eBody Reborn, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite sizes, and the HUD I mentioned offers the dress/top option and show/hide for the belt and thong as well as lots of colors: 21 for the edges, 35 for the sleeves including several patterns/ombres, 21 for the belt, and 21 for the thong. We even get to choose from 5 metals for the belt hardware, so this is one super versatile gift! My necklace is also a gift, the charming TORI TORICELLI // Hanna Choker // FATPACK. It comes in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite fits, with a HUD to choose from 24 colors each for the choker and stone, plus 3 metals for the frame and chain. I really appreciate the ability to change the look like this, and I feel like this choker has retro or goth vibes but will work well with a modern style too.

This gift is the GIZ SEORN: 'Brandie' Belted Jacket, and it has versions with and without the tank top layered beneath so you can decide just how flirty you want your look to be :) Each version fits Freya, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, and there is a handy HUD that offers 20 colors each for belt 1 and belt 2 along with 24 for the tank top and 5 metals for the belts. That double belt is a really fun touch, and I think this will look nice with lots of different styles of pants, jeans, or leggings layered beneath. 

Another top that I was able to get away with showing off as a very short dress is the lovely *Just BECAUSE* Yolanda Sweater. The red and white striped trim immediately calls to mind a candy cane, and suits the solid red knit so well. There are sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies included. I'm leaning towards my white jeans to wear with this, to complement the stripes and look great for these chilly evenings.

I know I just mentioned cold weather, but this next gift is definitely suited to turning up the heat indoors :) It is our gift from Glitzz called Jordana Lingerie - White, and consists of the bra, panties, and garter each in Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn sizes. They can be worn individually too, and the lace of the bra and panties is just the softest wisps of fabric with beautiful texturing. I would like to mention that last week I shared one of their Advent calendar gifts from their mainstore and said you needed their free group to claim it...as it turns out, no group is necessary so if you were avoiding them because of lack of group space, go go go!

My final look this evening incorporates the bra from the Glitzz gift (see, they are pretty separately too, and yes this is rather minimal coverage up top LOL) to pair with the flirty (*<*) 1313 Becky Skirt - Christmas Red from 1313 Mockingbird Lane. That store name always makes me chuckle, as I immediately recognized it as the address of the Munsters from their tv show long ago. Their unpacker HUD will have you dancing around while you choose from Maitreya, Legacy, or Perky to unpack, then each holds versions with and without panties. As you can see from both views, the hemline of this pretty pleated mini is daringly short so you just may need those panties to wear in public ;) 

Yesterday evening I received some sad news, my godmother passed away after a long battle with lung cancer. She was 80 and had smoked for I'm going to guess at least 3/4 of her life, trying several times to quit but never really succeeding. She was very petite, well under 5' tall (I think 4'9") and slender, so they couldn't even do certain treatments on her but they did attempt some experimental things. Even knowing it was inevitable, I am still struggling a bit since we hadn't seen her in a few years (thanks, pandemic) so I already missed her. My godfather's birthday (her husband) was less than a week ago, and the timing between that and the holidays is just heart wrenching. My suggestion - tell someone you love them today, before it's too late, even if they know it and have heard it before.
