Hiya everyone! Tonight's post comes from the current round of the Blue SL Event, which I've gotten into the habit of naming the posts after songs with the word 'blue' in their titles. Electric Blue is an Icehouse song that was cowritten by John Oates of Hall & Oates fame, all of which definitely says 80s just like my musical tastes :) As for the post itself, their VIP group is free to join and lets you claim lots of wonderful gifts each round, so I'm tickled pink (blue?) to share some of the treats I found. Because it started a bit before Halloween, some of the offerings are holiday themed but still worth sharing and picking up.
My first look of the evening reminds me of a slightly eccentric woman you might find residing in a haunted mansion, conversing with the spirits there. The Allure Couture Belladonna Set Black gift is a fantastic, elegant Goth look, starting with the gown and gloves in sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu bodies. Another package inside holds the red fur wrap (single size), crown, and spider for our shoulder. He promises not to bite, but won't be insulted if you omit him from your outfit either.
I'm feeling quite cozy in the Moody - Ghosty Dress & Socks Set, which is another generous group gift :) The strapless dress and above the knee socks both have the same spooky pattern on them, ghosts in sheets dancing among orange stars in the darkness of night. Each piece is provided in Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Bombshell, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizing.
Next we see the Yellow Jumpsuit gift from DD & Co, with playful strapless style and long slits on each leg. It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy Bombshell, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. Now I'm wearing Legacy classic size, and you might notice that isn't one of the sizes I mentioned...I only realized at the very last second that I didn't see an original Legacy size enclosed, LOL, so I'm wearing the Bombshell which fits everywhere except the bust. Next time I'll just switch to my Lara X, but I was aiming for continuity in this post :) I am really enjoying the unique texturing here!
This beauty is our Nut & Squirrel Erato gift, a flirty and flowing dress that makes me think of dancing. There are sizes for Erika, Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies provided, along with a 20 color HUD so we can change up the look whenever we wish. I really like the way it's gathered both front and back with a golden hoop, accentuating the bare waist areas.
My final look of the night comes from J.E.F and is appropriately called Halloween Outfit Gift - 2025. There are plenty of folks out there who feel that Halloween should be celebrated year round, so I would never judge anyone for wearing this a bit past the actual date on the calendar :) Our dress with its playful pattern comes in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. The leggings are a BOM layer, and the included hat has a resize script built in so you can easily adjust it to suit any head shape or size. Both the leggings and hat are optional but fun accessories, and I'd even pair them with other outfits if the mood struck me :)
There is a bit of irony in blogging Halloween related items while discussing plans for Thanksgiving cooking, but that is how my night is going at this point. Friday is going to be a several hour cooking session at my parents', meaning no blog that evening, and I've got plans for Saturday as well so I'll still be taking my Saturday off from posting. I am happy to have the plans in place, and to have a reason to be busy, as last year's holidays were heartbreaking for me. They were my first without my grandmother, and I was unable to see my cousins, so having them as a motivation for this cooking is a positive thing :) I hope you're all having a pleasant day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
