Wash Cart Sale and Hunting for Nails

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some more wonderful bargains from The Wash Cart Sale to show you, remember this event lasts until the 4th of January and there are selected items available as transferable so they make great gifts. It's never too late to do Christmas shopping in SL, or just pick up an inexpensive little "thinking of you" surprise for your favorite guy or gal. Also I am a huge fan of lovely manicures, so I visited Hello Dave for their store hunt which takes place on the ground level of the sim the store is located on. This morning the store was unavailable and the fixed landing point was on the ground, but the hunt was accessible so just in case you cannot get to the store and get that notecard (there were several sandwich board style signs around to click for information) your first hint is to find the church and the first bauble will be found there. This hunt involves following clues and finding glass baubles like you would find on a Christmas tree, these are clear glass with a snowy scene painted or etched onto them. Very pretty, but they can be tricky to find in the beautifully landscaped sim you are exploring. Each one you find gives you the hint to the next in local chat, for a total of 12 festive nail HUDs for Slink and Omega. 

I am certainly looking elegant in this striking dress from Entice found on their cart at the Wash. This is Addicted to Love - Reds and for just $10L you will receive the mesh gown in standard sizes with a HUD for 3 texture options as you see above. Also included are the hair accessory I am showing in the middle, and the fur coat in three colors (red plus the white and black you see here) which consist of the chest piece and each arm attachment for flexibility. I slipped into my favorite Marketplace freebie jeans from Delizio for this shot, so I could show you a really fun sweater from Pretty Kitty Designs at the cart sale. This is All We Need Is Love in Slink, and is from their ARCTIC line of clothing which features the ability to slowly rotate through colors randomly. You can see that the heart design on the sweater has changed for the inset, you just wear the transmitter HUD and the clothing will go through the colors or you can choose your favorite to stay steady, there were about 20 options. I love the style of the sleeves which are hooked over the thumbs, I have been seeing that in RL clothing more and more and it is a clever idea along with being so cute! The Slink size of this sweater included the Physique and Hourglass, there are also Belleza, Maitreya, TMP, and Tonic you can choose from as well as several other designs at the cart from the link in the credits. Time for some nails...I did greatly enjoy my visit to Hello Dave's sim of Moochie with my helpful partner Xan (who even tolerated me trying to steer a sled, I am so bad at driving any vehicle in SL!!) and these amazing nails are one of the 12 prizes you can find in those hidden baubles. These are called Snow Beautiful and have 5 bright blue and white designs to choose from or to mix and match however you wish. 

If you are in more of a red mood, be sure to find the bauble that holds this Mistletoe Kiss HUD and you can sprinkle your nails with your choice/s of 5 designs as shown here. The snowy ones make a great accent nail, or you can make the solid red shades an accent nail instead.

This terrific set is appropriately named Best Baubles, so much fun and a clever design to hide inside a hunt bauble. There are five different ornaments hanging from golden strands and tied with pretty bows, mix up all the colors or choose your favorite for your holiday outfit of the moment.

In case you didn't hear, there is a fantastic update to the HUD for all Slink bodies and heads, so if you have a Slink body please head to their store and use the redelivery terminal to get your version 3.0 body with improved HUD. The alpha cuts are updated with more choices and some groupings too, similar to other HUDs I've seen out there. 

Today was just chaos here, and the holidays are approaching so quickly that I believe my blogging time will be very limited for the next few days. Tomorrow I will spend a lot of time cooking, Saturday will be spent with family members, and Sunday with my parents and grandmother who is freshly out of the hospital. I saw her earlier and she is still feeling ill, so all I can do is hope for the very best for her.
