Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is your special invitation to the CMH Candy Cane 5 Hunt, brought to us by Cheeky Monkey Hunts. We're looking for candy canes, which will hold either a $1L hunt prize or an exclusive offer for $25L - $50L, and each designer gets to choose which and how many to hide for us :) As always, the website will guide you with landmarks, prices, hints, and preview images. This time of year we tend to be busy trying to plan holiday gatherings and gifts for others, but I want to remind you to take time to treat yourself as well. These are affordable and a great reason to take a break from holiday hubbub (RL or SL) and make sure you are practicing self care. It brightens my day to share these with you, but of course I'm trying them on my own avi and feeling pampered too :)
My first look is the gorgeous ~Sassy!~ Rowan dress - red plaid which is a $25L exclusive for this hunt. The crimson hues and the pale silver trim do remind me of candy cane colors, so it is festive but not limited to December by any means. We receive Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh body sizes in this sweet treat.
I couldn't get over how fun and snuggly this prize is! Our GoodVibes Candy Cane Wishes Her is just $1L and does have a counterpart for the guys in a separate candy cane. The little monkeys in Santa hats gave me such a chuckle, and are the perfect nod to our hunt organizers. This outfit starts with the nightie in sizes for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies, and there are panties in the same set of sizing. Then we can even add the matching booties (slippers) which are unrigged and have a resize script built in. I just changed my Lara X feet to the flat setting and they fit perfectly, no adjustment needed, probably because they are meant to be roomy and cozy. Now all I need is a nice cup of cocoa, a fireplace, and Xan to cuddle with :)
In the same shopping area you can also find the CloudNine store, with Her Snow Good Red Sweater as their $1L prize for the ladies. Yes, there is a "His" prize hiding as well, so make sure your favorite guy also picks up his own candy cane if interested. Our red knit sweater has white trim and an image of snowmen on the front beneath the words "Up to Snow Good", a witty way to let the world know that you get up to mischief when the weather gets wintry. There are sizes for Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies included.
Next we pop over to The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. where we can find a trio of candy canes, one of each price point. The $1L prize is their CHRISTMAS WINE Tee on the left above, with a festive glass of red wine wearing a Santa hat. The fun choice on the right is our $50L exclusive called TIS THE SEASON Tee, showing us three trees with a dusting of snow and the name of the tee written beneath them. These have unpacker HUDs where you can choose from standard mesh sizes or eBody Classic, eBody Reborn, Waifu, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. This way you just deliver the brand you need, and hang onto the HUD for future reference, instead of having over a dozen versions clogging up your inventory :) As someone who's been trying to sort and clean up my inventory lately, I am so grateful for that!
We wrap up the evening with the wonderful [Ari-Pari] Reindeer Knit Dress dollarbie hunt prize, which is both flattering and timely :) There are sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies, as well as a HUD with 10 colors for our lovely texture. The white trim shows off every color perfectly, and I've always been fond of this style of sweater with various stripes in different playful designs. The dress is short enough that I'd also gladly wear it with a pair of jeans or leggings beneath for really cold weather, turning it into a tunic for the day.
My evening off from blogging was a good plan since my day was pretty rough, and that wasn't even because of the appointment itself. My teeth and gums are doing fine, but we wound up stopping (very much against my wishes) at a fast food place instead of going straight home. That took an extra half hour, when going directly home would have been 10-15 minutes at most, so my anxiety skyrocketed and isn't fully back to tolerable levels yet. Otherwise I am glad I didn't have to go out today, and I have logged into SL at least 3 times for random Advent things, LOL, so a typical December day ;) I hope you're all having a pleasant day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
