eBento Anniversary

Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the 6th anniversary round of the eBento Event, which opened late last week and runs until the 5th of June. Their group is free to join, and that group tag lets you click dozens of gift boxes at most of the designers' displays to claim some wonderful free treats. I found there to be a very nice variety of fashions, accessories, home decor, and more, with plenty for the guys so not just a ladies' event :) I know there are lots of events out there, but I enjoy visiting as many as I can because they each offer different themes, exclusive items, and of course a different set of designers working hard to provide lots of great choices for our SL shopping. The generous gifts from time to time are just a fantastic bonus :)

My first look of the evening will help us get ready for summer with the *Flamingos* SwimSuit Alice - Pink gift. This playful style is a one-piece with three straps holding each side in place, which we can change to our choice of 10 colors via HUD. The swimsuit fits eBody, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. I'm sure you also noticed the flock of birds on my upper right thigh, well they are our Aviva. Swallow tattoo-Group gift. This is a BOM (bakes on mesh) layer so you can wear it on any BOM compatible mesh body or even on classic avatars since it's a system tattoo layer. I do love birds of course, even my blog name is a nod to that fact, so these little beauties are a very welcome gift.

Two more gifts make up my second look tonight, starting with the [HU] Dilly Top_Purple by Have Unequal. This fluttery halter top is designed for the Maitreya body, and includes a HUD with 5 metals which are the straps and the clasp in the front center. This looks to be a materials enabled item, as there is a distinct sheen that I am enjoying here :) Then I added the [BB] Belzebubble - Panties #6 gift, a duo of colors of thong panties that have the number 6 on the front in white. The black and red pairs are each provided in eBody Reborn, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes. So fun that the number 6 is a nod to the 6th anniversary of this wonderful event!

Next I changed into the full outfit from **ABSEN** which is aptly named -At the party-. It contains the top, panties, skirt, and boots, each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minim mesh bodies. The alpha/transparency of the lower half of the skirt made the panties disappear somehow, LOL, so I shimmied out of the skirt to show you the equally sparkly panties alone on the right. I know there's a way to fix the alpha layering issue but I was drawing a blank on how, sorry about that. Those boots really make the outfit for me, just a total showstopper of a look.

If you'd like to shine in purple, be sure to claim the ***LURE*** dress Aurora- Violet gift seen here :) Its daring style features a crossed halter neckline above a long diamond shaped cutout, with a slender strap in the back to help hold things just right. Well, I started the post with a swimsuit and coincidentally I'm wrapping it up with another :) This time it is the lovely {Le'La} Ulva Swimsuit Gift, a two piece bikini whose bra and panties are each designed for Erika, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra Bimbo, Low, Original, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Flat, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. That leopard print is as eye-catching as the wild straps, isn't it? It certainly caught my attention, and made me grateful that SL bodies don't get tan lines unless we decide to add them. Geez, I think that's proof that I'm old but I just had a flashback to how many girls went to tanning salons before prom and then worried about the tan lines, trying to use thick chalky makeup from the late 80s to hide them. I've actually never been in a tanning bed, since I've always been just too prone to burning in just a few minutes of sun exposure. 

It was another quiet day and I'm grateful for that, since I have a relatively long car ride tomorrow to get to my family doctor for a mostly routine checkup. I say mostly because I usually have little things to discuss that occasionally merit more attention, and she might want to look at the area I recently had the abscess drained. Few of Our Favorite Things

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have several wonderful hunt prizes to share, some of which are exclusives to this particular event. It is the 'A Few of Our Favorite Things 2' Hunt from Cheeky Monkey Hunts, and the prizes range from $1L to the $25L and $50L exclusive offers. They're all hiding in hunt objects that are hard to explain so I suggest looking at the hunt sign for an example...an image with a light blue cloud, red heart on a rounded square button, with small white clouds in front. This includes the poseball, sunflower bouquet, ice cream, handbag, pizza box, and wine bottle which are each separate attachments. This beautiful look is the Harambee-Gwassi 'Turquoise Sky' lace minidress with thong prize, a $25L exclusive so you'll only be able to obtain this one through our hunt. The dress and matching thong each fit Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. I'm so drawn to the built in belt, daring side slits, and the way the thong peeks through the sides while providing some modesty down below ;) The color is fantastic too, so flattering! This store is a fascinating instance of SL benefitting RL, as it is a charity store to raise funds for communities in Kenya that need assistance.

You probably know by now that The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. comes full steam on hunts like this, so not a huge surprise that they are offering all 3 price point gifts in this event :) Their $50L exclusive offer is their RECORD SCRATCH Tee, a soft white tank top with a black image of a cool cat in sunglasses practicing some DJ skills. What song do we think they're playing? Something we can dance to I hope. All of their tees come in 5 standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing.

The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co.'s $25L exclusive prize is their wonderful BREATHING Tee which is a slate gray tank top with "just breathe" in a handwritten script with a dandelion whose seeds are blowing free in the breeze. This is a great motto for people like myself with anxiety, and there are also several songs by that name so perhaps this one brings music to mind for you.

Last but certainly not least, we see the charming PLASTIC FREE Tee which is our $1L hunt prize from The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. It comes in the same sizes as their other two treats, and this one touched my heart with its message "Keep Our Sea Plastic-Free" surrounding a sea turtle headed from the beach into the ocean. The reason this resonates with me so deeply is because my childhood best friend had a dream to become a marine biologist, and while that did not work out (don't worry, she is fine and very happy as a wife/mother/pro photographer) she spends much of her time these days focused on sea turtle conservation. She moved to Florida many years ago, and has raised her now 16-year-old daughter to care for the environment too and help with the sea turtle nesting grounds. I admire what they do, and appreciate this tee for its important message.

Shining in the Spotlight

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're still shining in the SPOTLIGHT, the store by that name that is :) Their group is currently free to join, and they have about a dozen gifts waiting for us to the left of the front desk. I have really been enjoying sharing these gifts with all of you, and greatly appreciate that most of them are fatpacks with lots of great colors for us.

My first look is the SPOTLIGHT - TAYTUM TOP group gift, a gorgeous blouse with bare shoulders and handkerchief hemline. There are sizes for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies included, along with a HUD offering 20 charming floral textures. I love the way it straddles the line between casual and dressy, all depending on what you wear beneath it. Even if it is labeled a top, I suppose anything could be a dress if you're adventurous enough ;) Do I need a disclaimer so people don't blame me if they get booted from a region for being bottomless? *giggle* 

For a much shorter and sassier top, how about this SPOTLIGHT - DELIGHTFUL TOP group gift? Yes, it says "fucking delightful" across the front with a small flower aside the text, and our background color changes via HUD to your choice of 6 hues that all read the same. The cropped hoodie is provided in Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Prima, Prima Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizing. I mostly did the side view to show off the pert hood, which looks like it would work with some hairstyles past the shoulders and not require an updo to look right.

This little black dress has a pop of color, thanks to a belt and a HUD. It's called SPOTLIGHT - PORTIA DRESS, and fits Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The attached belt laces up like a tiny corset in the back and has 60 colors to choose from via HUD, even black to match the dress if you prefer. The slits on each thigh are a flirty touch too, so this could be a nice choice for a date night.

I'm very fond of the one-shoulder style seen in our SPOTLIGHT - JASMON DRESS group gift. It has a very brief hemline and a body-hugging shape, with little wrinkles where the material gathers. We receive plenty of mesh body sizes too - Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Peach, Prima, Prima Petite, and Reborn. My final look of the evening is an elegant yet sexy reminder that SPOTLIGHT doesn't offer exclusively solid colors among their fashions. Their FALLON DRESS group gift has 9 lovely plaids on its texture HUD, subtly different hues that are all fine choices :) The dress comes in sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Legacy Petite, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy bodies. The long sleeves are a fun contrast to the short hem, and this style hugs every single curve. The squared neckline would frame your favorite necklace very nicely too, don't ya think?

This weekend felt like it flew by even though I didn't leave the house. The side effects from the antibiotics are fading, thank goodness, and I'll be seeing my family doctor on Wednesday so I can discuss it all with her too. That was already planned since my last appointment with her, so it's just a matter of convenient timing. It was a warm weekend without being overly hot, although I'm sure summer and steamy temps are on their way. Spotlight Group Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm shining a light on some terrific group gifts, from SPOTLIGHT. Their store group is currently free to join, and the wall to the left behind the front desk has several terrific gifts waiting for us. All you have to do is have the group tag active and right click - pay $1L (I mostly clicked the price on the right but might have done left at least once, always received it) which is refunded automatically while the gift is delivered. This is standard for certain vendor services like Caspervend, and keeps a record of the gifts in case you ever need a redelivery. I found SPOTLIGHT's style to be sleek and flirty, not overly fussy or fancy, so you can keep things simple or add your wildest jewelry and shoes if you want to shake things up :) Many of the gifts have color HUDs so there is a wonderful amount of variety available.

My first look is the lovely SPOTLIGHT - SAMARA DRESS group gift, a halter dress with slender straps across the mostly bare back. It fits Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. There is also a 45 color HUD provided so we can get creative and match any mood.

I also couldn't resist sharing the SPOTLIGHT - SPLASH TANKTOP and PANTY, perfectly coordinated in black but with a multicolored design (yep, a splash!) on the front of the tied tank top. Whew, I have never been so happy to on the last day of a course of medication! I am all done with the doxycycline but had a miserable day of feeling lousy from anxiety and nausea. It's probably safest if I do not try to go to the farmers market tomorrow, as being in a car does not sound wise, but my housemate will be going and getting some goodies from a list I'll provide. A Few More Scoops

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we return to the SL Syndicate sewer maze for more Scoop N Score Hunt prizes. They are all free, and there are over 150 poops waiting to be found so they can reward us. Don't forget to pick up your free golden scooper at the landing zone by clicking the sign, which is not needed to claim the prizes but has a fun animation and versions for left and right hands. This is a challenging endeavor that I was grateful to have Xan's assistance with, and the names of some of the poops are hilarious so it was good to have someone to chat with about them while hunting. We have the entire month to complete this hunt, so it's okay if assembling your hunting crew takes a little time ;)

My first look of the evening is quite possibly my favorite out of the 8 Web Dew prizes, if only by a small margin because they're all terrific. This is their ::WD:: Dress Petal - Unicorn, a fluttery style with sweetheart neckline and bows adorning the skirt and sleeves. The dress and its separate sleeves are designed to fit Freya Push Up, Isis Push Up, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, and we can wear it without the sleeves if preferred (but I really wanted to show you the bows from both angles!). We also receive a HUD with 3 texture options and 5 shine settings, to really allow customization of this beauty. 

The ::WD:: Dress Emery - Red (T) is another lovely prize from Web Dew, and I believe the T stands for transparent here. In addition to the dress there are panties provided too, all in sizes for Freya, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. There is a notecard inside letting us know that we can edit and adjust the transparency if we wish, so that is fun for a more modest look when the mood strikes. I feel so flirty in this!

There are 4 prizes hidden from ERSCH, like this stunning Bekka Lingerie special -brawn leather- set. The color is probably a subtle nod to the theme and hunt object, yet it is a sophisticated and flirtatious style that I am excited to share :) The top and panties are each included in Freya Perky, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes. The bows in the back and on the hips are fun details, and there are tiny scuff marks on the leather texture that indicate this is a well worn and much loved outfit.

I know I shared a few of Tea Lane's prizes in my first two posts from this hunt, well there are a total of 7 from them so I have two more combined for tonight :) The ~TL~ Poop Ruffle Dress pairs perfectly with the ~TL~ Poop Ribbon Heels prize, and the poop emoji texture on both is so condensed that they are small enough not to be recognized at first glance. Find the dress and you will claim sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, working well with the Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink sizes of our shoes. I appreciate how the darker brown trim of the dress matches the hue of the wedge heels, although they are not the same texture...as a matter of fact, the heels have tiny poops on them too. 

My final look this evening is a glimpse at two varieties of one of the many Wyld Wynter prizes, 8 poops with multiple gifts inside a few. On the right I'm wearing the ~WW~ Shirazad's Stones (Citrine) tattoo, with ~WW~ Shirazad's Stones (Bloodstone) on the right. These are provided in BOM layers and a similar Regalia layer, which apparently uses a different mapping. Their body art is beautiful, something I recalled from Twisted hunts, and am very happy to have more treats from them :) The black hearts you see are a marketplace gift called [ Embox ] // Modest Heart Pasties - TINTABLE - Gift, very useful for layering beneath things for a little extra privacy. There are 3 nipple sizes and the lower heart, each separate BOM layers and all with permissions to be edited so you can change the color. The lower heart doesn't cover any of the back view, so I decided to try pixelating my booty crack. I am not a photoshop expert and had to look it up, LOL, and not convinced I did a very good job but at least it's modest-ish ;)

Well, my body is still not happy with the doxycycline, but I am hanging in there. I'm still boggled by the fact that a suggested search for this medication (I was trying to determine if I should take with/without food and avoid anything in particular) was "doxycycline ruined my life". Yikes! In the future I might ask for a milder alternative if a physician wants to put me on this one again, but if it is the best choice I will tough it out while trying to reschedule any other plans during the timeframe. The weather tomorrow is supposed to be hot but cloudy, but that is nicer than the rain expected Saturday morning for my farmers market outing. I have enjoyed the prior rounds too, and make it a point to stop by each month and check out what's new there :) The designers tend to create fashions for the newer bodies like Kupra and Reborn, so if you have difficulty finding treats in those sizes then this is a fantastic place to be.

V8 Underground is a longtime favorite store of mine, which you may have previously known as Brii Underground. They have a fun gift for us called **MORGANE POLAN SPRING BLUE URBAN STYLE COMPLET OUTFIT** seen above. The shirt, panties, and heels are each provided in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes, looking smart in various deep shades of blue. The formfitting shirt is opened to bare some cleavage, with a hemline lifted on the left to flash some bum cheek for a very playful feeling.

Be sure to look in each bottom corner of the Allure Couture display, as there is a small gift box on each side :) One of them is this sweet summery Melody Shorts Outfit Pink, in a dusky hue that leans lavender-pink and is so well coordinated. The corset top, shorts, and sandals will all fit Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies. With lots of laces and loose ties, this outfit has a tactile appeal which makes me which I could touch it in person.

Next we start with Misha Bikini Red which is the other Allure Couture gift for us. It has a pattern of golden leaves and flowers on a crimson background, with silver chains on the top and bottom pieces. Each of these are designed for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. Surely you noticed the new artwork on my back, well that would be the Pendragon Designs Unicorn Tattoo Back Unisex gift. There are 3 versions with slightly different coloring, all in system/BOM layers. I've always been intrigued by unicorns, so this detailed image is a sure winner in my book. A handy dandy tip for this gift - the unpacker HUD will not work properly on the no-copy tattoos, so please rez it out (at a public sandbox if you have no home location) and unpack it the traditional way. You don't want just a folder with a landmark and a script in it, you definitely need these gorgeous tats!

Do you need a new little black dress? Trick question, LOL, that answer in SL is always yes :) It's even better when it is a free gift, like this beautiful Next Door: Quinn Dress Black. The single long sleeve, choker-like collar, and shapely seams on the midriff and skirt are all such wonderful details, and I feel like it scarcely needs any additional jewelry or accessories to turn heads. For my final look of the evening, I shimmied into one of 3 gifts found in the same gift box (or was it a bag?) from .iAmH3r!, this one being the B3linda! Set - Red. There are Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes for both top and bottom separately. The 3D flowers on both add romance, just like that blazing red color :) The corset style bra would pair nicely with your favorite pants, shorts, or skirt for outerwear, so this has added versatility.

My day was a rough one, thanks to stomach issues from the antibiotic that made being in the car to go to the chiropractor a nightmare. It triggered a panic attack that lasted the entire visit along with the whole ride there and back, so I cannot wait for this round of meds to be done and over with. I am prone to anxiety/panic in the car anyway, but when combined with an upset stomach it becomes magnified.  Hiya everyone! Tonight I switched gears to visit a terrific store and equally great event, and have some goodies from each to share. The store is Paper + Antler by Grixdale, who provide some of their clothing demos as wearable gifts. What a thoughtful way to let us decide if we wish to purchase their creations, and it does encourage me to patronize them. Now some demos are traditional style with DEMO written on the clothing, and the only way to tell for sure is to 'purchase' for $0L any demo you are interested in and try it on at home to see which it is. Some are labeled free or gift, those are definitely wearable so give those a click and claim them too :) As for the event, it is the WIP Event and we are checking out The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co's display for some very entertaining offers as always. If you are a fan of sass, come on over!

My first look of the evening is the [p+a] Minerva Dress - Free gift/demo, one of dozens of versions of this lovely style they offer for sale. Its high-low hem dress and matching panties will each fit eBody, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh bodies. The shimmery metallic fabric goes from black to gold, with light pineapple images scattered about. I feel more tropical already :)

I also found the [Paper + Antler] The Lanes - FREE wearable demo there, and simply adore it! Our split dress, panties, belt silver and belt gold are each provided in sizing for eBody Reborn, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. The two versions of the strappy belt can both be seen above, gold on the left and silver on the right, so all those loops will be the metal tone you prefer. This is another beautiful ombre too, a color gradient that always catches my attention. We can also wear the dress without either belt, or without the panties if you're feeling particularly adventurous. 

The [P+A] Caiti - Corset Dress - Demo is a wearable version that acts as a gift, and has an eye-catching combo of black and emerald green. The strapless dress, corset, and cover (crotch, like panties without sides) each come in eBody Juicy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya sizes. Like the previous gift, the individual parts mean that we have the option of going without the corset belt, or stripping off the cover during sexy times ;)

Are you ready for summer? It was a busy day, but the follow up visit for my recent medical issue went well. The bacteria culture came back positive, so this unpleasant antibiotic was definitely necessary (just a few more days of it...) but it is healing decently and nothing else needed to be done to it. As long as nothing changes I am done with visits and treatments and all that jazz, whew! It is annoying when the skin randomly forms cysts and then decides they should become infected easily, but getting it treated (yay, adulting) was the right call. Tomorrow I'm off to the chiropractor, just a routine visit for my neck, which will not interfere with my blogging in the evening.
