Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm inviting you back to the Avatar Fair event, a relatively new event that opened a new round on Thursday. I am not clear on the dates so I'm going to suggest that you go promptly if you like what you see :) There is a free Avatar Fair group we can join, that lets us claim tons of goodies at just about every booth as well as the central area where my landmark should place you. They have gift cards on the wall too, so you can even select your own reward for visiting. Most of the participating stores are right there on the same sim/region (Linden Lab preferred terminology is region, I spent well over a decade calling them a sim, so sometimes I slip up) with names you may already recognize like Ewa Boutique and Sugar Dolls. I blogged some gifts from the prior round a few weeks back, and many of the gifts are the same but I was careful to make sure I am showing you gifts that I didn't last time :) Some of the brands seem to be connected, and there were gifts from one brand at another's display, so it is nice to see designers working together so well.
My first look of the evening is from Mademoiselle, called *BM* SET 102. The top, leggings, and belt are each provided in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizing, with two useful HUDs. The top's HUD has 11 colors, and the pants HUD has 21 choices for the pants, 22 for the belt, and 6 metals for the buckle. That's an impressive variety! I am a big fan of the detached sleeve look, and these have such pretty lace flaring out from just below the elbow.
Going somewhere outdoors on a late summer day? I'd love to suggest the {CH} MONDE outfit, a gift from the Charlotte store :) It includes those sunglasses I'm wearing here, as well as the top, skirt, and shoes which will each fit Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite bodies. There's even a BOM layer pair of black panties, so if you bend over or someone gets a little camera happy, you're covered ;) We do have a HUD too, with 24 textures for the top and 11 colors for our skirt. The shoes stay that terrific cherry red, and I enjoy that pop of bright color for our feet.
Next I am smirking at the thoughts of what a naughty weekend this gift could lead to...it is the 69 sSixty 9--Perola Set, a brand that is new to me so I'm excited to get to know them. The gift includes a top, skirt, and panty that each come in sizing for eBody Reborn, Mounds, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, along with (you guessed it!) a HUD that has 10 colors for each piece. Let the mixing and matching begin!
The [SweetP] GIFT Avatar 1 treat from Sweet Problem is such a captivating lingerie set, both flirty and feminine. It is worn as one piece with the appearance of two, corset and panty, and it comes in Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes. The bright pink really caught my eye, but I can say the same for the intricate lace and the scalloped ruffles on the panties.
Finishing this evening, we have a great dress for autumn that looks like a sweater tucked gently into a snug miniskirt. It's our LS - CLOVER gift from Lee Sorin, and will beautifully fit Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. The provided HUD offers 15 textures, some of which have those great polka dots you see on the left above while others show off the contrast between the knit top and the smooth skirt. Now that September is here, this cozy style is about to come in very handy :)
My day was busy but decent, despite a very strange dream involving time travel, and no I didn't eat something weird before bed ;) I visited my parents for dinner, but didn't actually eat until I got home so it was a late meal for me but still enjoyable. Heavy topics at the dinner table tonight from local news, then a trip down memory lane had my mom pulling out her high school yearbooks from the 60s. Her school closed in the early 80s and several of the teachers wound up at the high school I eventually went to, so we had a few in common which is wild considering we graduated 22 years apart. My annoying long weekend begins around noon, as the housemate's jerk houseguest arrives then, and I'm going to spend as much time as possible hiding. Their plans involve sports, beer, junk food, and noise, LOL, so I'm not missing much. I hope you all have a terrific weekend ahead, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
