DM Modas Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we have some gifts to see for the DM Modas group, under the name of DM::: in your list of groups. It is currently free to join, and I could not locate the main store but there are several participants who offer gifts for this group. The designers can send notices too, letting us know about special offers and deals, so it provides helpful information. I found some truly lovely gifts and can't wait to show and tell :)

I start out the evening in a sexy way with the BWC Soft Transparence gift. Its dress and panty are each provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes, with a tinting HUD that has both a color wheel and the ability to input RGB codes for colors. There are 2 base textures as well, satin and sequin. The panty is more of a C-string (no straps, just crotch covering) and this is probably safest for mature audiences ;)

Next I visited [DIESELdeluxe] and picked up their Gaby Short Dress Leopard gift for DM. The name surely does describe it well, and the natural hues make for a fun neutral palette that you can accessorize in kind or jazz up with all sorts of vibrant colors. There are sizes for Altamura, Freya, Isis, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minim mesh bodies, so that's a really wide range of bodies that it will fit like a charm.

{Le'La} has plenty of gifts for various groups out in their special gift building, including our Sauki Set Gift seen above. The top, skirt, and vest are all provided in sizing for Freya, Isis, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Slink Hourglass mesh bodies. We can wear them all together or individually, mixed and matched with other wardrobe staples if we wish. The top and skirt have the same rich texture in chocolatey browns, while the vest is an eye-catching mix of golds, greens, and blues for a very earthy combo that I appreciate.

Another versatile treat you can claim with that DM::: group tag is this stunning CF*Martina 1819 dress from Carola. The layers of ruffles are wonderful touches, just as the slightly askew hemline is, and I'm always tickled to wear a halter style dress :) We receive Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, as well as a HUD with 10 beautiful choices. Of those, 8 are solid colors and 2 are floral patterns like the one on the left above. I'm thinking the florals would be more popular in spring, but the solid hues are ideal for any time of year. Personally I'm in Camp Florals Anytime, but respect anyone's decisions otherwise :)

My final look of the evening is the {Chaotic} Ride or Die outfit, and it is fully loaded! The tube top comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, while the skirt and belt each come in the same plus 5 standard mesh sizes. Boots are provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Physique, and standard sizing, so I tried them all on with my feet (but not legs) alpha-ed out and I honestly forget which worked best with my Maitreya legs...maybe Freya here. Your mileage may vary as always :) Also included are the leg holsters for each side and the guns for each, and I clearly watch too much instagram/youtube because I almost called them pew-pews. I have no idea if there is that type of censorship on blogs here, but I'm not monetized in any way so that shouldn't be a problem. If so, I promise they are not loaded and not scripted to do anything but look sassy ;) The concept of ride or die is very thought provoking, and we all deserve to have a best friend like that and if we wish, a partner like that who will stand by us no matter what else life throws at us. 

How is everyone doing today? It is cold here and I stayed home but will be going out tomorrow for what could be a nice outing to a new shop with coffee, tea, and baked goods. Happy Anniversary Designer Showcase

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is a celebration of another fantastic event, Designer Showcase, who are currently enjoying their 14th anniversary round. This means we get to claim several generous group gifts by joining their free group, and I had a great time visiting and exploring the sales offers. We have until the 20th to stop by, grab demos (and gifts), and return to complete our shopping.

My first look of the evening is our MAHOGANY Store gift called ~MS~ CAMPBELL SET. Its top and panty are each provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizing, and the top has a long sheer panel with diagonal hem that has beautiful hearts decorating it. The panty is slightly lifted in the back, almost like a tiny wedgie LOL, which somehow intrigued and amused me. 

I also picked up the charming Ghee - DS Gift 2025 which is a fun outfit for this time of year. The cropped hoodie, short denim skirt, and belt will all fit Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies, and can be worn separately or all together as I've done here :) The belt has a silver heart shaped charm attached that particularly caught my eye, and I appreciate the way the hood and cuffs of the top match the denim of the skirt.

Next I got to try on the I.M. Collection Yuletide Set, a gift that I can see getting a lot of wear out of :) There are sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies each for our jacket, pants, and heels. Did you notice in the rear view that those stiletto heels are pretty silver to match the buttons on the jacket and waistband of the pants? I do appreciate attention to detail, and there is something so elegant about this look too.

For this look I kept on the pants from the prior one, to show off not just one but two terrific tops :) On the left you can see the Evergreen - DS GIFT '25 which is a delicate lacy tank top in pale blue. It's provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn sizes, and will go beautifully with anything you decide to pair with it. The BQ::Mayla Knotted Shirt:: Red Roses gift from BlondeQueen is the sweet treat on the right above, cropped to a similar length as its neighbor. I do love the knot in the front, and the sweetheart neckline that gives a romantic feeling just like the slightly puffed short sleeves :) The gift includes sizes for Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. I'll be tempted to find a long red maxi skirt to wear this with, or maybe pants in a color to bring out the greenery of the roses.

My final look tonight comes from Hilly Haalan and is their stunning [hh] Joelle Dress gift. It is so flattering with the V neckline, fluttery sleeves, and softly ruffled hemline that falls below the knee. It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, and wait till you see the HUDs! The fabrics HUD has 25 patterns each for the front, back, and sleeves & ruffle, while the plains HUD offers 50 colors for each of those sections. As you can see here, we can mix and match between the HUDs so I do recommend adding them both while you decide on the look that suits your mood. I had a great deal of fun playing with them, and if you've read here before you probably know what a fan of HUDs I am :)

It was a quiet, snowy day here, and I am grateful that it wasn't as bad as some predictions indicated were possible. We got about 2" which is less than the 3-6 initially expected, and it is certainly cold but I should be able to go out during the week. The Shopping District

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I decided to share some group gifts for The Shopping District, which is free to join and has a logo with a cityscape outline. I mention that because looking for their sign with that logo is an easy way to locate the gifts in each participating store. Many of these designers are in several groups of this nature and have gifts out for multiple groups, so I find it useful to have the group sign to keep an eye out for :) As you know I do greatly appreciate these groups, and most of them have either low joining fees or none at all. It makes for a great excuse to visit several wonderful stores and check out their current offers!

My first look this evening is the [Pixel Doll] Jolene Dress Set 01 - 03 gift for TSD. This cheerful mini dress has bright colors and a playful pattern, with a halter neckline whose strap is adorned with two golden chains. There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies included. 

I also visited Lara AC, teleported up to the group gifts room with the teleport pad at the main entrance, and happily claimed their Dress BOJANA GIFT RED. There are Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Pinup, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn sizes of this lovely halter dress in deep blood red. I really like the chain on the belt, and that daring slit that shows off so much cleavage :)

Next I found a very flirty gift at {Le'La} in their group gifts building (follow the golden glitter path on the floor) which is their Donatella Romper Gift. Isn't it a gorgeous shade of blue? There are sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Classic Dainty, Gen X Curvy, Curvy Dainty, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Peach, and Reborn mesh bodies provided. The front shows off our belly button, and the fit is snug enough to show off our booty perfectly ;) 🍑 indeed!

Our Carola*Devora-1222 gift starts with a fun and revealing dress in sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra Bimbo, Low, Original, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. Then we get to add the heels which are designed for Gen X, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn feet. There's also a HUD for each of these pieces, with 20 colors of the same pattern for the dress and 30 lovely colors for the high heels. The pattern reminds me of giraffe print, or plant cells which feels like a random memory from biology classes long ago. 

My final look is from one of my favorite haunts for multi-designer group gifts, V8 Underground. Their TSD gift is called **MEL ORANGE COMPLET OUTFIT**, and it consists of the tube top and shorts in sizing for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn sizes of tiptoe sneakers to match. The top has a bomb with the word BOOM! on it, reminiscent of a comic book style image, and both top and shorts are loosely laced on both sides which reveals a little extra skin. 

The weekend was hectic, which tends to happen here lately somehow, and my local power company did a 'planned outage' of our electricity for 2 hours today which didn't help matters. This evening my parents called on the phone, which they never do unless something is wrong...it turns out they got a Christmas card from a relative with triple helpings of sad news. My dad's eldest nephew and both of his sons all passed away during 2024. The nephew was 76 and had a brief battle with cancer, his older son was 51 and had a different type of cancer, and the younger son was 49 and passed away from ALS. Both sons were married with kids, and the card they received this year contained a letter from the widow explaining their year :( I'm stunned and saddened, even though I had only met the dad a few times and the sons once or twice. It's still family, and they lived several hours away or we probably would have seen them more often. Geez, 2024 was worse for my family than I'd even realized, so I am even more eager for 2025 to be an improvement. *deep breaths* I want to wrap this up on a positive note somehow, so I will say that my therapy went well and I am working on healing some childhood wounds that deserve love and compassion. Happy Anniversary SENSE

 Hiya everyone! Tonight is a part two of the SENSE Event and their 7th anniversary round, which wraps up on the 8th so please do hurry and stop by :) Their group is free to join, and there are many gifts available at various displays in pretty black bags with the Sense logo. I could keep going with more parts since there are so many generous gifts, but the calendar is not my friend in that regard unfortunately. I'm still annoyed at myself for not finding out about it until its final week, but I'm grateful to be able to sneak in two full posts about it before the round closes. 

My first look of the evening is the AXE-GIFT Dress, a sweet treat in brick red that looks warm and inviting. The high neckline and long sleeves are balanced by a very short hem, and this lovely gift includes Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Peach, and Reborn mesh body sizes. It is tempting me to add some leggings beneath for a more wintry look, or at the very least some undies to prevent cam-pervs ;)

I also adore the AXE-OUTFIT Grace gift, from its glittery tube top to its extra shiny pants with slits on the flared legs. The top is provided in sizes for Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies, while the pants fit Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies. The subtle plaid on the pants are a fun touch too, and Xan even noticed the reflective qualities of the pants :)

I kept on the pants so I could show you two wonderful tops here :) The MCC - woman - xmas sweater 10 from MadCatCreations is the lovely on the left, and has a turtleneck built in to match the cuffs and hem. It is provided in Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, Waifu, Senra Jamie, and Star mesh body sizing. Then on the right you can see the AnaSTyle - Lia Red - Top, giving very different weather vibes yet in a similar hue. This cutie is designed for Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, and will go just as well with your favorite skirt as with a casual pair of jeans. 

Next I slipped into the gorgeous JXL-DRESS 13/08 gift, which is one of two I found at the event from this brand. The broad ruffle up top loops around diagonally to provide a single sleeve, and the right side of the skirt is slit all the way to the waist and tied in a playful bow. It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Pinup, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies. The green has a deep and rich quality that I definitely appreciate.

My final look of the night has a similar fuzzy quality to the first picture up there, at least on the pretty sweater :)  Our ALO - Anais Top & Skirt - Set 05 gift includes Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu sizes, and the top and skirt are separate pieces if you wish to wear them individually. I never rule that out when it's a possibility, even if I am enjoying the various shades of blue together. It made me think of this great song from the 70s, Misty Blue by Dorothy Moore, which I cannot recommend highly enough if you are feeling a bit reflective and enjoy bluesy slow songs by a woman whose voice sounds like warm honey.

I'm really slow tonight and I'm not even sure why. Dinner with my parents was nice, and my dad sounded unusually supportive when I mentioned the outings I'd done this week. He's usually pretty emotionally detached, so I'll take whatever kindness I can get from him :) The weather is getting very wintry here, with 3-6" of snow coming on Monday but some icy conditions before then (like currently) so I am staying home and trying to stay cozy. Sense Event Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to invite you to the final week of the SENSE Event and their 7th anniversary round. Because of several holiday chaos, lol, I didn't find out about it until now (looks like it started on the 18th so a week before Christmas) but we do have until the 8th of this month to enjoy. They are celebrating the traditional SL way, with group gifts available for members of their free group at many of the displays. Most are in cute black bags with the Sense logo that includes an infinity symbol ∞, and the event's group is free to join. I have so many treats to share and I'm really excited and happy for them, and looking forward to many more years of visiting them.

First we get a little wild with the [[2Love]] Rebeca Halter dress [p19] gift, with an animal print that works so well with the crossed halter neck and gathered tied skirt. There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies included. I like taking pictures here on the deck of my skybox because there is some lighting inside that is just close enough to bring out the shine in clothing that is designed with materials enabled :)

The [ZEX] Pop Fluffy Sweater & Skirt * Pinky gift makes me happy for a whole host of reasons, like the snuggly appearance of the sweater and the playful pleats on the short skirt. The brand is also a familiar sight to me since I was visiting them everyday for their Advent calendar last month, big fan :) So this sweet set includes the sweater and skirt each in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing. The dip in the waist to just show off a hint of navel is a fun touch too, and the rear view shows just a hint of cheek since most skirts in SL are shorter in the back. 

Next I got to see how versatile the OH PAIR! SHONA gift is, as it can be worn with just the dress or we can add the included long sleeves. They each come in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu sizing, and the dress has some intricate slender straps doubling up and tied in pretty bows on the bodice. I feel like I'd usually seen this brand offering shoes at events, so I thought their name was a nod to pairs of shoes but it sure seems they do clothing as well :) I like seeing people branching out like that, as it helps keep SL interesting.

I'm sure you can guess that I carefully chose a pose here, since the [SaraFashion] DRESS AURORA gift has a sheer bra cup on the left ;) It also features a lacy translucent right short sleeve, and there is a small lace inset on the right of the skirt so this baby is all about the details. There are sizes for Erika, Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD offering 15 lovely colors. 

My final look of the night is a terrific manicure set from Moonie, their Winter Round Nails. This gift includes the mesh nails in sizing for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn hands, as well as a HUD with 5 designs for each pair of nails meaning both thumbs, both index fingers, etc. :) Easy to wear, we just hide our body's native nails with the body's HUD and add the matching size from this folder to our outfit. The solid red and solid blue can work for absolutely any season, and the red and blue snowflake prints are fun for this time of year. As for the bow that looks like a present, we can wear it to someone's birthday celebration or even on our own rezday, just as a couple of examples. I am a firm believer that many seasonal gifts don't have to be limited to one particular day or time of year if we think flexibly. 

Whew, it was quite an adventurous day for a homebody like me ;) I went to a Whole Foods that is further than I'd been going, and it was pretty crowded by the time we got there so it was definitely stressful. I picked up a few things and made it through the journey, despite all the anxiety, and just now I watched my hockey team lose. Sigh. They do a west coast trip every year at this time, and sometimes they go really poorly. I love them anyway because I have done so for several decades, lol, but they need to get their poop in a group. Tomorrow I'm planning on a part two of the Sense event gifts before it gets too late to share them, particularly with a weekend in the mix so I'll have a day off and the grid will be jam packed with visitors. Blackbird Lace Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting Blackbird Lace, who have a treasure trove of treats available upstairs for the members of their store group. That is currently free to join, so these wonderful gifts won't cost you a thing :) There are dozens of group gifts on one wall, and we can also use their lucky chairs, lucky boards, and midnight mania boards on another wall up there. I was inspired by sorting through some of my advent gifts from last month, as the final week or so got way too hectic for me to keep up with sorting ;) They'd had a calendar for their group members too, which made me think about just how valuable that group tag is and how I really needed to remind all of you to visit!

My first look is the cheeky Abigail Dress By Blackbird Lace gift. This halter dress in gorgeous deep purple has a satiny glow, particularly on the ruffle at the extra short hem. There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies provided. I made a point to show a side view to explain my 'cheeky' description, as the rear view is basically a full-cheek situation and I do suggest wearing something beneath :)

Another goodie that I picked up is their Miruna By Blackbird Lace outfit. It consists of the top, skirt, and zipper for the top, all in Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizing. This way you can decide if you wish to wear it with or without the zipper, or even pair the top or skirt with other pieces in your wardrobe. I am a big fan of anything that leads to creativity.

I also really appreciate the Basha Set by Blackbird Lace gift, particularly this chilly time of year. The long sleeved turtleneck has slender stripes for a fun look, and the skirt is denim with great seams and buttons down the front. Each piece fits Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, and we also receive a HUD with 10 colors for each. 

Time to bring on the sex appeal, thanks to the Wren Outfit By Blackbird Lace gift. The dress and heels both fit Erika, Gen X Classic/Dainty, Gen X Curvy/Dainty, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Peach, and Reborn mesh bodies. The HUD offers an amazing 50 colors each for the top, skirt, and heels, with 5 metals for the loop and chains in the middle that hold the dress together. As you can see on the right, the platform heels are exceptionally tall and you will need to adjust your hover height to see them in their full glory. I'd tower over Xan if I did that, LOL, which would be amusing considering I'm several inches shorter than he is in RL, like 8 or 9 at least.

My final look of the evening is a stunning dress and footwear pairing called Ermia Outfit By BlackbirdLace. I think the bows caught my attention first, as both the midriff and the sides of the heels each feature them, but I am also taken by the style being daring in places yet with a softly pleated hem that is longer than SL average. The gift includes Erika, Gen X Classic, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn sizes for the dress, along with shoes that fit Erika, Gen X, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn feet. The HUD has plenty of options - 30 textures each for the top, skirt, bow, heels, and bow on the heels, plus 2 metals. 

I am definitely not sleeping as well as I would like lately, but otherwise today was fine and I am trying to stop worrying about my outing tomorrow. Palomma Plaza Pretties

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post comes to you from Palomma Plaza, which if you recall The Free Dove it is a loving tribute to its owner, Palomma "Dove" Casanova, and in the same location. The group is free to join, and with that "Doves Angel" tag you can claim countless gifts from very talented and generous designers :) I treasure my memories of chats with Dove, and hope she knows she is still missed and loved by so many people. The designers' displays I am focusing on tonight are Bens Boutique and Stars Fashion, so my link should give you a red arrow to the aisle right between them. I would also like to mention that as of this morning there was still a large Christmas tree in the building with lots of great gifts underneath, but I chose not to blog those because they are probably going away pretty soon and many are seasonal. So I still recommend peeking and claiming those too, and much like Christmas you will get to be surprised with each one you open :) It's funny, I still see people mention The Free Dove in group chats, and usually someone will chime in about the reopening and the new name but old landmarks still working, and I think it really shows the impact she made on SL with her caring nature and wanting everyone to be able to look their best even if they are low on funds.

My first look is the lovely Bens Boutique - Shae Dress group gift. It has 15 patterns and 30 solid colors to choose from via HUD, so it is very easy to personalize your look. The dress fits Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, all with that deep dipped neckline and high slits on each thigh.

The Bens Boutique - Bridget Jumpsuit is a gorgeous choice for New Years Eve, but of course it is going to look phenomenal no matter where or when you decide to show it off. We receive standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Maitreya, and TMP mesh body sizing in this gift, plus a 10 color HUD for our sparkly texture. I love halter necks and bare backs, and I'm thinking this could be just what we need to display a new back tattoo or one of those fun necklaces that hangs down the back.

Over on the Stars Fashion display, there are several wonderful gifts including this Danika set. Its single shoulder tube top and low rise jeans are each provided in sizes for Altamura Sofia, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The HUD inside offers 10 colors for each, to make mixing and matching a breeze. I noticed that it slowed down if I clicked the HUD too many times in a row, but if you take it slow (yeah I get impatient, LOL)  all the buttons will work eventually. SL has been oddly laggy at times lately, anyone else noticing that?

Next I changed into the flirty Stars Fashion - Niki gift, which easily made me smile. The bare shouldered top and extra short skirt each fit Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, and there is also a HUD with 20 colors each for top and skirt, then 2 for the ruffles. So you pick your top color and then let the ruffles remain the matching hue, or click the black or white buttons above it to have a contrasting ruffle color. Same for the skirt :) The lacing on the side of the skirt is another eye-catching detail, making this even more revealing and sexy.

My final look of the evening is also from the Stars Fashion display, and is my choice for heading somewhere tropical and breezy :) Their Twila outfit is a playful combo of wrapped long sleeve crop top and slim fitting denim shorts, in sizing for Altamura Sofia, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. There's also a HUD of course, with 10 patterns for the top and 10 shades of denim for our shorts. Get creative and have fun with the HUD, just be patient if SL is being slow and the textures don't change right away. 

Happy New Year, everyone! I tend to get a bit reflective this time of year, and usually try to be optimistic and upbeat about a new year and a fresh start. This time I'm finding it more difficult than usual for many reasons, grief and my health issues being a big part of that, but I still need to hold on to some shreds of hope. I am wishing all of you a year ahead filled with peace, love, healing, comfort, and whatever you need most from 2025. Many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
