Midweek Twisted Treats
Hiya everyone! I am still working my way through the Twisted Hunt Fall 2016, the free gridwide hunt rightfully billed as the hardest hunt in SL. I am truly enjoying it, both for the challenge and because the designers go all out to make it special for the hunters...side hunts, gachas, exclusive items for sale, you name it! The theme of Divination and the color steel blue are making frequent appearances in our prizes, which I think suits the first half of my blog name, Midnight, rather well :) The eternal Potter nerd in me can't help but giggle at picturing Professor Trelawney when divination is mentioned though, and I suspect that I would play on that heavily if I were a designer. Well, let's take a look at tonight's glimpses of some hunt treats, shall we?
This first look combines two prizes that work beautifully together and with the theme. The stunning gown is the Divining Stars Dress from Moonlitecat Creations who are #31 in the hunt path, and who have just added a wicked maze as a side hunt. I am so taken with the texturing of this dress, as well as the elegant style. The fascinating looking Twisted Crystal Ball Post is our gift from Painfully Divine (#40), and you may notice there is a ring attached to the right side of the post. According to hovertext, this works with any Lockguard compatible cuffs, with which I am unfamiliar but I hope this information is helpful to some of you :) For me it will simply be a beautiful conversation piece of decor.
I am clearly enjoying this prize from Sweet Revolutions, which is a side hunt prize found there called Twisted Typing Tarot. Attach it and start typing in local chat to make the cards, blue particles, and a magical sound appear to swirl around you like a mystical whirlwind. Truly stunning!
You can find another deep blue gown at Mishmash Fusion, who are #42 in the hunt path and have provided freebies referencing that fact as well :) The main gift for the ladies is the Oracle Gown- Divination which consists of the mesh gown, arm ribbons, and torso ribbons each in standard sizes along with a S+ and L+ which may reference added chest size, not positive about that one. You could wear them without the ribbons if you choose. My necklace is also a hunt prize, this one from #35 Vengeful Threads, Womens Divination Claw Necklace. There is also a mens' version included, and they each hold a glass orb for you to gaze into and try to see your future, or simply dress up a favorite outfit.
More wonderful jewelry can be found in an extra prize from Roped Passions, whose intriguing side hunt is shared with Anachron and The Dark Fae as I mentioned in a prior post. I really enjoyed following the clues and exploring this one! The prize #6 of 8 is their (RP) Nalani Rune Necklace & Earrings, featuring black rune stones and some beads in our hunt color of steel blue. I do love that style of necklace, with the long delicate drape in the center.
