The Gacha Life

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the new round of The Gacha Life, where you can try your luck with dozens of terrific gacha machines from an impressive array of designers. You can also join their free group if you haven't already, and claim lots of generous group gifts. Those are what I will be sharing here tonight, at least a sampling of them, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. All you have to do is have your group tag active and click each black gift bag to receive these gifts, and each bag has a framed photo of the gift so you know what you will be getting. This event is open until the end of the month, so you have plenty of time to visit.

First I eagerly tried on the AnaSTyle gift, called Mara Light Blue. It starts with the mini dress in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body versions. It continues with coordinating high heel mules in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High sizing. We even receive the matching earrings, bracelet, and necklace with white beads that highlight the white of the shoes and the stars on the skirt. 

Another full outfit, named MALUMA, can be found in the gift bag from GIULIADESIGN. The sleeveless top and skinny jeans are included in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, while the boots come in the same set of sizes plus a fitted version. I really enjoy the look of jeans with thigh high boots, and the simple shirt with decorated collar creates a classic look. 

I kept those jeans on to wear with another top, the very amusing ZFG JO LESSON. This comfy hoodie reads "2020 taught me that things can absolutely get worse", and it is a reminder that last year was quite a dumpster fire. The good news is that I believe 2021 will get better, not instantly but as time passes. Our gift includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes, all with that slightly tucked up front hem. 

This flirty look is two examples from the generous gift from [C.Y FASHION]. Their WOLLY Long Sleeve Dress is provided in 6 different colors, packaged by size, for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. As someone who spends every RL day and evening lately with a blanket over my legs, I am thinking I will also enjoy this gift with jeans or pants layered beneath, since it is on the short side ;)

For my final look of the evening, I chose the Illustrious gift called Kora Dress - All Colors. In addition to the pink and yellow shown above, there are gray and green versions of this same charming pattern. Each is provided in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. I really like the fluttery edging and the revealing sides and rear view!

It felt like it was a long day, and I think I slept funny because my neck and left shoulder are really sore. I watched a hockey game that was fairly wild, and have seen a bit of the Puppy Bowl from having recorded it on my tivo :) The snow has moved out of my area, but we got a few inches during the day and things could be icy tomorrow morning. My parents have a few important appointments this week but it should be safe to drive by then. Lost Hearts Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I would like to invite you to the Lost Hearts Hunt, where we explore a beautiful sim looking for free hearts. There are over 25 of them to locate, and I will suggest checking inside each store and building as well as any point of interest like benches and bridges. You will receive a notecard when you land that tells you all about the hunt, which lasts until the 20th of the month. The hearts contain all sorts of treats like clothing for men and women (classic avatars with some mesh body compatibility) and home and garden items, all generously provided for free. Some of the hearts are red, while others are pink that I believe had a pattern to them rather than solid pink. Just hover over any heart you see, and if it is for sale for $0L then you can go ahead and claim it :) Good luck and enjoy!

My first look is the TFF Ladies' Bathrobe & Slippers '21 by Tayren's Fantasy Fashions. Its robe comes in 5 standard sizes, with an alpha layer that you can use if your mesh body is BOM compatible to help this fit a mesh body as well as a classic avatar. The matching slippers are also provided with an alpha layer to help them fit any flat feet, and they fit my Maitreya feet without any adjustment whatsoever. I believe all of the female prizes have a coordinating male version somewhere on the sim too, in its own hidden heart. 

Another prize that is warm and cozy looking is the TFF Unisex Valentine Pajamas '21. The one-piece pajama set says "I Love You" in different fonts and colors, with hearts and lip prints scattered between the words. It is provided in standard mesh sizing, with an alpha layer that you can use for classic avatars or BOM-compatible mesh bodies. Ladies, you will probably have to alpha out your breasts since this unisex styling is rather flat up top ;)

Next we go for a more formal look with the TFF Ladies' Gothic Vine Gown in Maroon. This hunt prize comes in a standard fitmesh size for classic avatars, as well as sizing for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The gown has a wide slit on the left side, all the way up to reveal considerable leg. Sexy!

I also really enjoy the relaxing nature and beautiful fabric of the TFF Ladies' Red Satin Lounge Set prize. The strapless top and black-trimmed shorts are each included in fitmesh standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. With the alpha layers provided, you should be able to find the right fit for most shapes and avatars. 

For my final look of the evening I combined two prizes. The outfit is Hig's Buckle me Up set, whose top and bottom and matching leg straps are each provided in system/BOM layers as well as Omega appliers. The top has a choker-like strap built in, and the bottom and leg straps are separate layers so you can wear them together or individually. On the right you can see the TFF - Key to your Heart accessory, a playful golden accessory that you can click to make spin, and has a local chat command to turn ticking sounds on or off. You can be someone's wind up doll with this clever addition :)

I did not go to the farmers market because I wasn't feeling up to the car ride, so I was fortunate enough to be able to have someone pick up my orders for me. I am especially grateful for that because we are getting more snow soon, starting in a few hours and lasting all day into the late evening. You can probably imagine that I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of spring, so these snow and frigid temperatures can move along. Leather and Lace

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are heading down the Leather & Lace Hunt 4 path, where we are looking for $1L prizes hiding inside a BDSM symbol that is a form of triskele. That is a circle with 3 curved 'arms' in it, with a dot inside each section, in silver and black. There are hints on the hunt's website, with the landmarks to visit each stop. There are preview images for most of the prizes too, although a few will remain a mystery until you claim them ;) I had a hard time choosing just a handful of these treats to share, and I love how they appeal to my hidden inner bad girl. She is in there, deep down inside, and she is definitely intrigued by these!

My first look of the evening is the Wiccan Wears hunt prize called ~WW~ Kellie Dancer Olive. This dark mini dress has lots of playful fringe, and comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Signature Alice bodies. The dress is very formfitting, so you may need to use your body's alpha HUD to ensure a better fit. 

Our next stop is [Ari-Pari] where finding the hunt object means you can claim their lovely Amy Outfit - LALH4 for just $1L. Its blouse and skirt are each included in Freya, Isis, Kupra, Legacy, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies, with a HUD to choose from 8 colors for the blouse. I really appreciate the way they represented the hunt's theme, with a suede skirt for the leather and the lacy texture of the blouse for the lace part. 

::REA:: has a fantastic prize for us too, their Leather and Lace Dress. Find the symbol which contains the dress in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP bodies, with a HUD offering 6 color choices for the dress and 7 for the skirt. There is a golden chain forming a T at the neckline, and the lace skirt layer looks pretty in the same color as the main dress or a complementary shade if you prefer.

This beautiful outfit is the prize from The Sissy Bar, simply called (TSB) Leather And Lace Hunt. The strapless dress and cropped jacket are each provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, Hourglass, and Hourglass Petite bodies, as well as a standard fitted version for classic avatars. As you can see on the right above, it can be worn without the jacket, or you can always slip out of the jacket when things heat up. 

My final look of the evening is the Kimberly - Edition 1 dress from RIISE. It is very provocative with the plunging neckline and rear view, and lace swath across the midriff. It comes in eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body sizes, with a 8 color HUD for versatility. Usually I lean towards purples and pinks, but I was particularly drawn to the bronze color on the right above too. All the colors peek through the lace overlay beautifully!

What an adventure the last two days have been...so I had the day of not being able to sleep, then yesterday I had a technology issue that turned out to be a DNS problem that I could login to SL but most things (including myself!) would not rez. I play simple games on an android tablet, and they weren't fully working either so I knew it was not an SL issue. It took several hours to get that resolved, and by then I was not in any shape to blog because I was still drowsy too. The good news is that I did manage to get more sleep, so I am doing okay and glad to be blogging :) I hope you all have an amazing weekend ahead, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Hilly Haalan Revisited

 Hiya everyone! Tonight is a part two from last night, more group gifts from Hilly Haalan for their free store group. The building with the gifts in it has signs to click that will put the link to join in local chat, so it is easy to claim these generous offerings. If you are a member of other multi-designer groups (Fab Free, SLFO, etc.) be sure to check the wall to the left when you walk through the gift building's door, and hover text will tell you which groups are represented by those plentiful gifts. 

We start this evening with a look that is just right for these chilly days and nights. It is their [hh] GROUP GIFT Riley Outfit, and it is a single mesh piece designed to look like a zippered jacket layered over a knit sweater dress. It comes in standard mesh sizing as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body versions. The color is hard to pinpoint, sort of a dusky mauve? Whatever shade it may be, I am a fan of it and the casual style. 

Next I changed into two of the three colors found inside the [hh] GIFT Nightie set. In addition to tan and pink, there is a lovely blue shade, and each are provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body sizes. They have an embroidered texture on the skirts with their daringly high slits, a very appealing touch!

As much as I love birds, you might guess that the flamingo on the skirt of this gift is what I like best about it...but there is so much more to enjoy here. The [hh] GROUP GIFT Calypso Set consists of the top, panties, and split skirt that each come in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. I can easily envision wearing this to a beach or pool and slipping out of the skirt to dive into the water or lay out in the sun. The colors are delightful, and even the flowers surrounding the flamingo have a tropical flavor to them. 

This next gift, called [hh] Gift Deborah Dress, is clearly not just your basic black gown. Not only does it have a bare leg thanks to the dramatic cutout, it also includes a shine layer that is an animated texture of tiny sparkles. The dress and shine are each provided in Altamura Sofia, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Tonic Curvy body sizes. 

My final look this evening is the [hh] GROUP GIFT Roxana Dress, a striking sleeveless blouse tucked into a figure-hugging mini skirt. It is linked to be worn as one piece, and comes in a fitmesh classic size along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing. There is also a HUD included with 10 texture choices, which are all combinations of solid tops paired with wonderfully matched patterns. I always enjoy having a HUD to play with, so my outfit can look totally different with a few clicks. 

It was a weird day here, as I am really exhausted from not being able to sleep for more than about an hour or so. I tried listening to about a dozen different videos that were guaranteed to help me fall asleep, LOL, but none of them made a difference. I wish I knew what caused it, so I could try my best to prevent it and get more sleep. Maybe I'm just falling apart because I'm old ;) The hockey game I watched did not go the way I wanted, but we will try again Friday. If I don't get enough sleep again, I might have to take a night off from blogging just to rest, just one to reset my body I think. Hilly Haalan Group Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting Hilly Haalan, a store with an entire building dedicated to group gifts. Their group is free to join, and you will find a couple of gifts at the landing zone before you head into the building labeled GIFTS. The designer is very generous and has a few years' worth of gifts still available, so if this is your first visit here you can still claim all the treats you may have missed. Meanwhile there are gifts for other groups too, multi-designer ones like FabFree, but I am focusing tonight on the store's own group and those gifts. 

My first look is the gorgeous [hh] GROUP GIFT Magnolia Gown. This gilded mermaid style gown comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. It has a built in belt that subtly enhances the waist, in the same shimmery satin fabric. 

My next look is a pair of outfits, the [hh] GIFT Ruffled Jumpsuit which comes in red and black versions. Each is provided in a classic M for classic avatars, plus sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. The floral pattern looks great on both color backgrounds, and the style is suitable for any weather. 

For an edgy yet ultra feminine look, I suggest the [hh] GIFT Alaya Suspender Dress and Heels. The dress has a lacy layer over the skirt and a choker-like strap at the neck, lots of great details in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. The strappy heels are also included, in sizes for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. It feels like something I would have worn as a teenage hair metal enthusiast, and yes that is a compliment :)

A fun choice for a chilly winter night is this [hh] GROUP GIFT Kara Dress, a sweater dress with surprisingly short hem and bared shoulders. It is included in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. There is also a HUD with 12 accent color choices, so it is versatile as well as alluring. 

For my final look of the evening, I chose the beautiful [hh] GROUP GIFT Blanche Dress. It is a striking rose gold color with delicate embroidery, and a golden belt attached that draws the eyes. It comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. I am a big fan of rose gold, but cannot wear it in RL because it blends into my skin tone which tells you how reddish my complexion really is. Clearly that is not a problem in SL though, so where should I wear this beauty first?

It was a quiet day here, other than the sounds of snow plows in the street and eventually the driveway. I meant more figuratively though, as I did not do anything unusual :) Well actually I did receive a belated birthday gift in the mail from a family friend, which turned out to be Tea Drops that I'd wishlisted quite some time ago. You boil water, put the tea cube into the cup, pour the water over it, and stir for a quick hot drink. Some are sweetened, some have no caffeine which is what I needed (citrus ginger was tonight's) and they have some neat flavors on their website. I had never had them before but they sounded delicious, and I am happy to say that they are :) They do leave a lot of sediment in the cup, because they are from real tea leaves, so I probably should have tried to done a tea leaf reading, LOL. Love & Camouflage in New Orleans

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have several treats to share with you, starting with the treasure hunt at the Love & Camouflage in New Orleans event which is open until the 17th of February. We are looking for mardi gras masks here, which will give you a gift for free when you locate and click each one. There are stores in the buildings along the walkway that have prizes, as well as the carts and displays along the path. One of the prizes reminded me to let you know about Grumble's new store location, which I decided to do by sharing a group gift you can find there :) So we are visiting just two locations total, with plenty of excitement at each. 

First look of the evening, we have the flirty Dark Heart Dress treasure hunt prize from Atlantis Design. It includes standard mesh sizes as well as sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. I love the texture of various sized hearts that look 3D!

Next we see another treasure hunt prize, this time from TrendZy Apparel. Their sexy *TA* Cammy Red Star Dress and Shoes is free when you find their mardi gras mask, and starts with the shiny mini in sizes for Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP bodies. The perfect way to complete the look is with the matching deep red shoes, in sizing for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High feet. 

I combined two prizes for this look, but of course you can wear either component with whatever makes you smile. The outfit is the Kelly Set 4 from Sands Design, whose top and shorts are each provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizes. The top has an opening in the front that is laced loosely enough to show off some midriff skin, and the shorts really hug those curves. I thought the Grumble prize brought just the right touch of whimsy to the outfit. It's called Alicia Boots-Rainbow Hearts, and these stiletto heeled ankle boots come in sizes for Alice, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Hourglass feet. 

The awesome boots from Grumble are what reminded me to visit their new location, as they have moved into the sim of the same name as the store. I couldn't resist sharing one of the group gifts found there, for the Inventory Trends group which is free to join. Their lovely Edge Dress-Black is sleeveless with a flared skirt beneath a drop waist, which is a very flattering style. Greetings from a winter wonderland! The snow continues to fall, and will be doing so all through the night and most of tomorrow, so it is pretty out but very cold. I didn't actually go outside, just peeped through the window to see how much had accumulated. Tomorrow I am looking forward to a hockey game in the evening, and in SL there are hunts and events starting for the new month so there will be plenty to explore. SL Frees and Offers

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features group gifts for the SLFO or SL Frees & Offers group, which is free to join making all of these gifts completely free of charge. I have been a group member for a very long time now, and certainly enjoy being kept up to date on the happenings in SL as much as I appreciate the generous gifts. My final look this evening comes from Hot Fuss and is their lovely "Mia" Dress. It comes in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. There were two HUDs included that looked identical and said color chain HUD menu, but neither of them did anything when I clicked them. This could have been SL being glitchy, but it is worth mentioning just in case :) I was having issues with landmarks not opening, but other HUDs worked during this login so I simply cannot tell what was going on. Honestly I like the chains the color they are, so if that is the only way I can ever wear them I will still be very happy and grateful for this gift. I am intrigued by the flirty style too, showing just enough without showing too much. 

I am slow tonight because I was distracted by hockey, LOL, which is not all that unusual but I do apologize for running a bit behind. I tend to try to get things started earlier when a game is coming on, but it doesn't always work out I guess. Otherwise it was a chilly and snowy day, and I am glad I was inside for it. The prediction is now up to 14" of snow, so they raised the expected amount by a couple of inches, which is unfortunate. My house generator doesn't seem to function in extreme cold, so if the power fails I might be in for an unpleasant time.
