Time to Spring Ahead

Hiya everyone! Tonight the fashions are hot at GIULIADESIGN, and I chose some group gifts to share with all you for various groups across the grid. From the main entrance, head back to the right and you will see an area with special sales, then a section of wall with all of these generous gifts. Many of their offerings are complete outfits, with footwear or jewelry to accessorize them, and you know how much I appreciate that ease of getting dressed in a snap :) Most of tonight's groups are free to join, with one having a modest $5L fee, well worth it. My post's title is just a random reference to daylight savings time here in the USA, as we lose an hour to see the sun a bit earlier.

This first look is the gift for the Inventory Trends group (free to join) called ***GIULIADESIGN***AMBER. It consists of the mini dress with peekaboo opening and crossed straps, as well as matching boots, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. While I like them together, I can also envision wearing the dress with different style shoes and the boots with other wardrobe staples, it is all up to you what you decide :)

How about a fun outfit for a spring evening that might be chilly outdoors but toasty warm indoors? This is their REHANA outfit for the MGSN (Maitreya Gifts, Sales and News) group. Its dress, jacket, and thigh-high boots all come in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. The necklace, earrings, and glasses atop my head are also included, with resize scripts so you can adjust if necessary. 

The MLM Free & Offers group has a onetime $5L fee to join, and that tag entitles you to many terrific group gifts like this Melinda outfit from GIULIADESIGN. It is a mixture of mesh and system/BOM/applier clothing, all of which are suitable for classic avatars or mesh bodies. The bra comes in a system/BOM layer plus applies for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink bodies. The jacket is provided in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and TMP sizing, while the skirt is included in the same sizes plus Tonic Curvy and Tonic Fine versions. The impressive thigh-high boots are sized for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, but I am guessing that with the use of alphas and hiding your mesh feet, you could wear them with other mesh bodies not listed.

This sexy look is the gift for the Third Life group (free to join) called DAVINA. It includes the dress and boots, each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a HUD provided with 6 colors for the dress, mostly changing the lace portion but with a slight tint to the solid part with a few of the choices.

For my final look of the evening, we have the GIULIADESIGN gift for the SLFO (SL Frees & Offers) group called ERIN. This long dress with pretty boho vibe comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique. The bangles for each wrist are provided too, which I think complements the dress beautifully. The floral pattern contributes to the hippie style for me as well, something I happily rock in RL and SL from time to time.

It has been a busy day but mostly a good one :) I am starting to develop a pretty intense headache though, which I am trying not to let put a damper on the evening. The farmers market was fun as usual, as the people there consistently make it a delightful experience. They are talented and friendly, whether you purchase anything from them or not, which I appreciate although I do buy from at least half of them it seems. When I got home I realized the power had gone out again, but the weather had been sunny so unless it was windy nearby I don't think the weather caused it. Group Gifts Galore

Hiya everyone! For tonight's post, I was inspired by the many new gifts I had seen mentioned for the FabFree group, short for Fabulously Free in SL. The group is free to join, and the corresponding blog is an amazing source of information about gifts, sales, events, and offers introductions to their participating designers. I enjoy visiting stores that I haven't been to in a while, or occasionally one that is totally new to me, to see what is new and get a feel for their style. Speaking of style, I am a longtime fan of the Entice store too, and they have a new group gift that I am delighted to share as well. Their info group is also free to join, so all of tonight's featured outfits are completely free for you.

My first look comes from Fatal Fashion, who have several group gifts for various groups behind their desk on the back wall. The one for FabFree is called Look Pack 42, and includes both the outfit and shoes. The blouse, tank top, and denim shorts are all linked together as one easy-wearing piece, in fitmesh standard sizes plus versions for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. The matching shoes with a coordinating plaid pattern are for Belleza, Maitreya, Slink, and TMP High feet. This will come in handy for a casual weekend :)

GeMyles has various group gifts upstairs near their lucky chairs in their new location, and the one for FabFree is this playful Fleur Top & Shorts outfit. The top and shorts are each provided in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions, with a 6 color HUD for the tank top. The sandals are included too, sized for Slink High feet. I also visited I.M.C. to claim their flirty Fabulously Free Gift dress, a halter style with solid navy skirt and patterned top to match the trim on the skirt. The gift includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies.

I found this unique romper outfit in solid black with elegant black and white houndstooth pattern layer, from Belle Epoque. It is called Gleaming Skies and is designed for the Maitreya mesh body. At first glance it looks like a skirt set, very intriguing.

For my final look, we visit Entice with their Entice Info group tag active (free to join) and claim their newest gift for us. It is called The Power of Love Dress Fatpack, and comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and even a classic version. There is also a HUD provided with 9 choices each for the dress, trim (neck and sleeves), and belt. The trim and belt are solid colors, while the dress has a butterfly pattern on the top and a section on the skirt with pretty paisley. The long sleeves and knee length skirt are balanced by the dramatic V neckline, so it is sophisticated and sexy.

What a day...I enjoyed dinner with my parents, but we found out that there is a confirmed case of coronavirus in the neighboring county, which is where my grandmother still lives and I was born and raised. I am not panicking about it, but I am not completely comfortable either. Apparently the patient traveled to another state and was in contact with someone who was later confirmed to have it, so now we have to hope that the patient did not spread it here before being diagnosed and quarantined. I think at least one vendor at the farmers market comes from the other county each week, and who knows how many shoppers. Good thing I already had hand sanitizer on hand because of my mild germophobe tendencies, so the shortage does not bother me quite yet. I have plans to make my own already, so that will motivate me. Okay, happier topics...I have a lot of hunting to do in SL since Twisted Hunt started and I have not claimed a single cube yet, probably in a few days I can get moving on that :) Other events are coming soon too, like a cart sale at The Wash, so I am looking forward to how this month will unfold. BYRNE Gifts

Hiya everyone! Tonight we have just one fantastic store to visit, BYRNE, where we will be claiming one group gift and several free gifts with no group tag needed. Their group is free to join, and there is a male gift that coordinates with the female gift nicely. Beneath that are $60L bargains, and on the same platform (where we land) you will see more boxes on the ground with completely free gifts. There are so many things to see and appreciate here, so I hope you have as much fun exploring the store as I did :) Much of their current inventory is intended for mesh bodies, while past releases were created for classic avatars and focus on standard mesh sizing, but either way you should be able to find something to fit your body and your tastes.

The free group gift is the Paiz Corset with matching thong panties, in both Pink and Blue. The corset has bold bows atop each shoulder and in the cleavage, with a slender one holding the laced back in place. The texture reminds me of a kaleidoscope or a stained glass window, both of which I am fascinated by, so that is definitely a compliment. All pieces are sized for the Maitreya mesh body.

This elegant look is a free gift (no group tag needed) called (BYRNE) Love Vibe Dress - Valentine Gift. The hot pink design looks like scales or a scalloped pattern, and the strapless dress comes in fitmesh standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. The collar has the same pattern but is a sheer gauzy material, in standard mesh sizing. You can wear the dress with or without the collar, so you can make this look your own.

Another holiday that is represented among the free gifts is St Patrick's Day, with this St Patty dress in 4 versions, all in a Maitreya size. I am wearing the green/white on the left, and the white on the right, while the two not shown are black (with green pattern) and green with a black pattern. I love the loose knots woven through the design, and the dropped straps that loop around our shoulders.

This charming long-sleeved dress is called Romance Mini Dress, and with its deep V necklince and short skirt, it lives up to that name for sure. The background looks like a dark ocean, with a black and white sketch layered over it. The gift includes Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink sizes.

My final look of the evening sent me to google to do a little research ;) It is called I Heart Tee Dress - Kittens Claws, and it comes in sizes for Belleza, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique. The gift also includes a mens tee with the same graphic, in S, M, L sizes. The graphic reads "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" which made me think of the band Faster Pussycat. But I had a hunch there was more to it than that, and I found a 1965 movie of the same full name including the Kill Kill. It is about go-go dancers on a crime spree, and the name did inspire the band I initially thought of so I wasn't completely wrong, just not quite right ;) I enjoyed learning about it though, and it sounds like a cult classic that people are still enjoying. It was another hockey-filled evening here, and I am pleased with how the game turned out :) I think in any sport, a team needs so many complicated factors to line up for the team to do exceptionally well, like the players understanding each others play style and generally getting along, and proper coaching to guide them. Sometimes everything just clicks, and that has finally happened for my favorite team ♥. Meanwhile I am trying to get my plans for the weekend together, starting with Friday dinner at my parents' and a fun Saturday morning market as usual. Hunting for Spring

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am enjoying another relatively warm evening, so it makes me happy to see that among the new rounds of hunts there is a Spring Hunt :) It is a $1L gridwide hunt so there are lots of different stores participating, and the hunt's website provides links to each location along with preview photos and even hints. Those hints will help you find the yellow rose (just the blossom part, flat prim) hidden by each designer. When you think of spring fashion, do pastel colors and floral patterns come to mind? They do for me, and as you will see in this post, the prizes do not disappoint.

My first look comes from Waffles, whose hunt prizes do appear here on my blog fairly often and with good reason :) This is their *WW* Spring JTZ20 One Sleeve Mini Dress, in a pale green accented with dark green dragonflies and a few eye-catching bronze ones as well. It comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizing.

Prairie has a lovely prize for us too, their Cassie Dress in baby blue with roses in various shades of pink. I look like I am really enjoying a sweet spring breeze as I show off this pretty prize, which comes in sizes for Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies.

My next stop was Kat's Clothing Boutique, whose yellow rose holds their ~KCB~ Spring Time dress for us. It has spaghetti straps and a double layered skirt, solid pastel green beneath the cheery pattern filled with flowers of many colors. Inside you will find fitmesh standard sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, and Physique versions, so this darling dollarbie gift is suitable for both classic avatar fans and mesh body wearers.

Cats n' Kittens Boutique has a flirty frock as their hunt prize for us, the CnK: Spring Stars Mini. It is fitted for the Maitreya mesh body, and has tiny golden stars scattered all over the uniquely textured fabric. The triple straps across the back look like a soft elastic that holds the front up as well, and did you notice the long slit on the right thigh? So sexy!

My final look this evening is a strapless floral dress from **Soju** which is simply called Spring Hunt Dress. The creamy background really helps the bright pink, blue, and yellow flowers pop. It was an exciting evening because I got to watch another well-played hockey game, and I have my fingers crossed for tomorrow night's game to be just as fun to watch but with no injuries. I never want to see any player injured, no matter who they play for. I have been trying to plan meals for the next few days, which is turning into a challenge somehow. To Infinity and Beyond

Hiya everyone! Tonight I came across news about the Infinity Event while catching up on SL related social media, and hopped right over to see what terrific offers await us. There are so many talented designers taking part, and I was excited to see that most have a gift for $10L or less, sometimes multiple such gifts, for all visitors. Most are in small bags with the top folded over, and many of those have small images of the gift on or near them so you know what you will be purchasing. I did find some free gifts too, and those are the ones I am sharing tonight :) I had so much fun exploring, and you can too if you visit before the 15th when the Infinity Event closes. That is plenty of time really, you can grab demos and check out the gifts then return to make some purchases.

First we take a look at the charming Chaotic Style gift, which is called Groupgift February Female (there is a male gift too). This slender knee-length column dress has a unique texture in red, and includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies.

=Impulse= is offering a trio of gifts for free, various colors of their "Ropi" bodysuit and boots. Sweet Treats from Cremosas

Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit the Cremosas Store, where you can find plenty of group gifts for various groups as well as lucky boards that are accessible with their free store group. So I am focusing on prizes from those boards, along with group gifts for that free group. There is also a paid VIP group with different gifts, so be sure to look at which "group join" sign you are clicking to get the correct link. The Cremosas store even has an Advent type calendar with daily gifts that I believe is for the free group, so I suggest checking that out while you are there too. There really is a lot to appreciate at the store.

This is one of our free group gifts called 337 - Dress v2 + HUD, and it is provided in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The HUD offers 9 textures for the top and 4 for the tulip style skirt, so you can enjoy mixing and matching. The textures make me think it was released around Halloween as two have skeletal hands on them, not that they are limited to any time of year :)

I was curious (as usual) so I looked up the word cremosas, and found it can refer to an Italian creamy soda with fruit, which sounds delicious and makes this group gift even more appropriate. It is their 310 - Bodysuit Fruit + HUD, with a daring style of low cut neckline and high cut thighs that lead to a thong in the back, and lacing above that thong. The bodysuit comes in eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizing, with a 6 texture HUD featuring various fruit images. That strawberry is so juicy looking, and I appreciate that each flavor has its own matching solid color for the laces in the back.

The dress is included in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. There are tiny heart cutouts in lines down the front, with 2 shorter ones on each thigh both front and back. The ones up top are placed just right for the nipples to show through, so you may wish to take that into consideration when you decide where to wear this treat.

There are many lucky boards that each have a different prize waiting for you, just as soon as your initial shows up and you are wearing the free group tag. One of those boards rewarded me with this fun 25 - Kimono Gift when a D appeared, in beautiful colors with a sweet floral pattern. My final look this evening is also a lucky board prize, called 77 - Dress Blue. It has been a pretty basic day here, not much interesting happened other than chatting with my mom about the flower show they are going to tomorrow with my mom's cousin (her first cousin so my first cousin once removed or something?) and her husband. They are similar age, so picture 2 couples all in their 70s going on basically a double date, it's very cute :) My mom sent me all the flower emojis she could find, LOL, also amusing from the woman who just a few years ago said she would never want a smart phone because she wouldn't know how to use it. She is great with it now, and barely uses her PC these days. I sent them a news article about our local school being shut down because of illness so they can clean the building, and she was alarmed because she thought it was the church of the same name which she does go to each week. I pointed out that kids don't wash their hands after sneezing (probably no opportunity) so germs spread like wildfire in schools, but she pointed out that those kids are probably infecting their parents and attending church with her. Basically I made her paranoid, yikes. My state hasn't had any coronavirus cases yet, this was a flu and a stomach bug that caused the school to close, neither of which sound fun so I understand my mom's concern. Belle of the Ball

Hiya everyone! Tonight I visited the Belle Event, where I joined their free group and was able to claim dozens of generous gifts to celebrate their first anniversary. The event is open until the 16th of March, so you have a couple of weeks to visit and do some shopping :) I saw lots of fashion, accessories, and home decor that looked very tempting, so I will be making a return visit as soon as I try on some demos. Meanwhile I am pleased to share some of the free gifts with you in this post. The group is free to join, so these looks will not cost you a thing.

My first look starts with the #AppleBlossom California No.5 dress, a beautiful mini dress decorated with lace and tiny pearls. It comes in Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. I accessorized with the gift from Narcisse, their Delicado choker which is unrigged and includes a HUD with 9 metals to choose from. It is versatile enough to look striking with any outfit you pair it with.

It's about time for my arrival! This outfit's name earwormed me, as it is the X-Tina Dirrty v2 gift from [Pare]. It consists of the bra in onyx and white, and skirt in navy and red, all in sizing for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies. You can mix and match them however you please, and I won't tell anyone if you decide to dance to Dirrty in this outfit ;) 

I kept on the red skirt from the Pare gift, to wear with our gift from [JUSTICE] called Sandy Tank. This cropped top comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, plus a HUD with 6 subtly different metals for the hoops holding the bottom strip on. I love the embossed stars on the slighty shiny material.

Another very pretty dress can be found in the gift box at the Bombshell display, their Audrey / Flower 01. It comes in Freya, Isis, and Maitreya versions, with a dark blue background for the pale blue and white blossoms and their leaves. The neckline spoke to me as being ideal for a little jewelry, so I added the MIDNA - Rafka Necklace and its adorable winged piggy. The gift includes a HUD with 10 gem choices and 5 metals for the pig and the wings, so you can have a lot of fun customizing this cutie to suit your tastes or match an outfit.

There was so much terrific jewelry among the gifts that I chose to showcase two pairs of earrings for my final look of the evening. Together they make up the gift from KUNGLERS and are called Irina earrings, with a quartz pair (the pale pink on the left) and an obsidian pair. The chandelier style is both bold and elegant, and all the earrings have a resize script built in so you can decide if you want to go even bigger or a little smaller. I am a fan of statement earrings, perfect for a fun updo hairstyle and a pretty outfit. There are so many other pairs of earrings among our group gifts that if you love them too, you will not be disappointed.

How was your weekend? Mine was busy but I enjoyed it :) Yesterday I found plenty of treats at the farmers market as usual, and I always have great conversations with the vendors who are there sharing their hard work each week. Today was mostly focused on hockey and household chores, so you can guess which one was more exciting. Now I am just happy to be here and blogging, and looking into new rounds of events and hunts for the new month.
