Hiya everyone! Tonight another event's anniversary round came to my attention, and it ends soon but it's SO worth hurrying over to! The VOGUE event is enjoying their first anniversary, celebrating with gifts from just about every designer for the VOGUE group (free to join) in lovely ornate golden boxes that have legs and look to be intricately crafted. They remind me of jewelry boxes, and all of them have hovertext so you can spot them pretty easily. This round closes on the 25th, so we have just a few days to visit and enjoy the new releases and plentiful gifts. Does the word "vogue" make you think of the Madonna song, the dance it references, or maybe the phrase 'in vogue' meaning fashionable? No matter which one it is, let's add this event to our associations :)
For my first look of the evening, I am enjoying our TO.KISKI - Alana Mini Dress. Purple gift. Just look at that shine! The single sleeved mini is gathered on the right side and tied in the front, with the bow dangling playfully down the thigh. It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kupra Add-on Natural, Legacy, Pinup Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies.
I also happily claimed the Resurrection - EIVOR Gift, a leathery mini with a notch at the bust with the sides folded over playfully. This beauty is included in sizing for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, Prima, Prima Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. This is the type of dress that can be made more casual or formal depending on your accessory choices, like lots of bold colors or keeping things sleek and neutral.
I've been really into deep shades of blue lately, so the Malizia - Allison Dress 16 gift instantly captivated me. It's also because of the style of course, ribbed stripes and the tiniest ruffles trimming every hemline, and detached sleeves that are actually built in so it's all one mesh piece. We receive Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn sizes of this wonderful dress.
Yesterday I had a leopard print top bringing out the animal in me (vague song lyric reference there, Physical by Olivia Newton John) but tonight my beast-inspired pattern is snakeskin :) The JXL - DRESS 03/B gift is designed to show off every curve, thanks to the sweetheart neckline (hello, cleavage!) and fishnet inserts on both hips. It comes in sizes for Classic, Curvy, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies.
My final look of the evening is the flirtatious Melody Loralyne // FATPACK gift. It catches attention with its cutouts, both the chest and along each side, then brings variety with a HUD offering 20 colors for the dress and 4 metals for the buckle at the throat. We receive Classic, Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. I think I mostly chose bright colors for variety since lots of October's fashions have been dark and moody.
My day went okay, and included a trip to a dollar store (Dollar Tree) for the first time in probably 20+ years. It's odd, my old neighborhood had several of them, but then I moved half an hour away to a different county and had a mini culture shock. So now there's one just a few minutes away, and it was a fun trip down memory lane in some ways. I did pick up a few things, and am still trying to figure out where Thursday's outing should be. I've been watching lots of hockey since it's Frozen Frenzy night, where every team in the NHL played so that's 16 games that started every 15 minutes. Wild, huh? There is yet another event that I delayed blogging about tonight to prioritize this one which ends sooner, so I do have plans for tomorrow's post already :) I hope you're all having a lovely day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
